Dropped the prices on all of my bras. Also listed a bustier. Would like to sell to buy more, of course! Can definitely combine shipping if you'd like more than one.

Maybe you've noticed how lately I've been trolling on all the adventures that talk about a bra to please also add a review for it.
I've been doing this because the effect has been that we end up with many less reviews that we'd normally have since most of the experience of the bra gets shared here.
It is important to remember ... that adventures are short lived so the content shared is very unlikely to be seen by anybody in a couple of days. And what's worse, any great advice or conversation that happens on it, will get lost.
The best place for this conversation to happen is on the bra review, that way people will find all this insight in a predictable way.
Adventures have a particular characteristic, they provide immediate feedback, as reviews are buried in the bra model page and may note get input in some time.
To help with that, you will notice that now, in the categories options you can indicate that you are talking about some of your bras (Shows by default the most recent 7 bras). By selecting this, the adventure you share will also be stored as the review for your bra! It will behave same as an adventure because it will show in everybody's stream, and comments and votes will go to your review. You can go at any time to your bra review and edit this content. Comments made on this Review/Adventure will be visible from the bra model's page so future users can find this too.
If you need to talk about other bra that's not on the list, at the moment you have to go the traditional route to write the review, but there you will find a new option to "share this review as an adventure", that will result in the same effect as previously described. It will show in the adventures stream and everybody will see it and be able to comment on it.
Please help me troll users when you see this happening. This will make the bra database much richer and useful for visitors instead of the few users that are lucky enough to see your adventure on the first page.
Other features added:
# Easier listings notifications
I think that the listings notifications we have here are a powerful feature, sadly many people don't know they exist, and even those who do, forget about them. Adding them is a pain and non obvious.
What I've done is add a link "Notify me on listings" both on bra model and bra size pages. Clicking on it will automatically create a notification for you. This should be much faster than the previous manual process.
# Per brand reviews
I've found that this can be useful for bloggers mainly, now on each brand you can get a list of all the reviews written for it regardless of the model. It may be useful to get a good insight of the brand, but you can also filter it to read only related blog posts. So it should be an easy way to find "Blog posts about Comexim" and such. Of course this works only if bloggers do link their reviews here.
# Text view for your listings
When you go to your listings page you will see a "Text view" option, that will show a piece of text with a snippet of all your listings and link to an image so you can easily copy and paste this somewhere else where you want to advertise your bras.
# Adventures URLs are more anonymous
This is a bit of a technical bit, but old URLs exposed the author of the adventure to unlogged users and search engines. Now only logged users will be able to see your username when reading your adventures. This is important because this keeps your Bratabase username hidden from Google so it is harder to find your bra profile on the Interwebs.
# I added sticky adventures
Like this one. Only I can set it when I see fit.

I already noticed the listings notification thingy on the bra model pages a couple of days ago, great stuff! All of these new features are awesome. Great work, Jj!
Awesome way to streamline the process. Now I can whine and review simultaneously! :)

Someone said she definitely wanted to buy one of my bras a couple of weeks ago. I issued her a PayPal invoice. She sounded excited about the purchase and said, "Great! I can pay that right away!" It's been over a week since I've heard from her. Do I keep the item reserved or open it back up? I wouldn't think much of it except that she said she was definitely going to buy it *right away.*

I give people 24 hours myself. I would definitely send her another mail and then open it back up at the same time.
That's happened to me before :( When it did I sent her a massage telling her that I was going to give her a few more days to pay. In the end she didn't so I opened the item back up.
Also, if you go to the invoice you sent her on PayPal, there's a button you can push that will send her an email to remind her to pay the invoice. You could try doing that!
Hope this helps!

is there a way to get some cards to me, so i can pass them around my town?
These are actually the last ones left from what I printed last year.
In the past I've send some small packs to people to help spread.
I expect to print some more soon so I can continue dropping some on my upcoming trips. I may start announcing my stops (I'm considering a "get me coffee" rule) so it may be cheaper to ship.

We all know how much finding well fitting bras can help us. This site is all about sharing information about bras and even connecting people who want to buy and sell them. Bratabase is for sure the best thing that has ever happened to my bra search.
But it's been more than just the bras themselves that have changed my ... world. The introduction to bra accessories has also helped me immensely. Extenders and rixie clips make having bands that fit great so much more doable. Bra travel cases changed the way I pack forever. Racerback and lowback clips make t shirt bras wearable with a LOT more of my clothes. Lingerie wash made me more confident in my ability to extend the life of my bras. I'm sure there are more awesome bra accessories out there, but these are the ones that come readily to mind.
So I was thinking... What if we could add, review, measure, and list bra accessories like we can with bras? For example: when I was figuring out what bra travel case to buy it was hard to determine what would be a good fit for the size of my bras. It would have been wonderful to come here and look at pictures, measurements, and reviews of the cases other users have. Then, if I ended up with something that didn't work, I could try to sell it to another bratabase user. And now, I think I may need an extender to break in my 26 band comexim bras that are on the way, and I'm having trouble finding any information that would help me decide what to buy (other than get the same # of hooks).
Does anyone else like this idea?

Love it, especially because I can't find a damn racerback clip that actually works. All of them seem to fall off when they encounter straps that are wider than half an inch - and most straps are wider. Plus, putting it on your bra and then trying to get in the bra is impossible, as well as trying to put them on while you're already wearing the bra. Obviously this is a sore subject for me. :P
The one I have works pretty well but I've only worn it with one bra and it has straps that are just under half an inch. :( it's a pain to get on and off but I can do it by myself. It's lovely to have someone else do that stuff though haha.
Would love to read bratabase reviews about this sort of thing. I trust them more than the amazon reviews :)

If anyone is interested in buying more than one of the bras I've listed, I'd take $8 off the total. The regular prices I've listed range from $20 to $28, including shipping in the U.S. and a few dollars extra outside the U.S. Most are new or worn only once. I have a few more to add, so please ask ... if interested. There's no smoking in my house, and I have no pets.
Also, I just changed all of my listings to Exchange or Sell. Since I am still trying to figure out the proper fit, I asked for new bras -- or bras worn only one day. Mine are new or worn for only one day (except for the Wacoal, which is listed much cheaper). This is what I'm looking for: I may be interested in exchanging for a new (with or without tags) Elomi, Freya, Panache or Cleo in the GG to JJ range (depth of at least 13.5). Possibly a Wacoal Retro Chic 36H -- I'd need measurements, as I don't think the 34H has enough depth in the cups.

Does anyone else think it might be useful to add cup height to the measurements of bras on this site? I know that often when I find a cup that fits well the cup height tends to be too tall for my liking.
I know it would require some additional work on currently entered bras, but I think it could be useful.

Absolutely - I was just thinking that today when I was trying to get the Freya Deco to fit better. Not necessarily the vertical measurement including depth but the flat height, so that we can work out just how close to our shoulders that strap attachment is.
Also, how far apart the straps are.
It would be useful if we could standardize where to measure the cup height.

Haha! Good going!
It is a lot of fun. Right now it is comicon.
I have a couple of users that are exchanging bras from US to Canada (I'm not exact of the regions/states) and sometimes shipping is around $8 but on these cases it has been over $20.
Do you guys have any recommendations or know which method to use to reduce shipping costs? With that money we can ship 3 bras just by picking the right method.

If you're shipping from the US, ALWAYS use USPS to reduce costs. First Class International I believe is the fastest and cheapest, but if not always opt for the cheapest type of airmail. You can do surface mail too, but that takes a lot longer. Also, tracking codes can oftentimes double the shipping cost so keep that in mind.
I ship from Canada and I ALWAYS use airmail with Canada Post. Parcels are always $8.03 since the parcels contain lightweight items (bras).
Use envelopes not boxes.

There is this bra that I cannot find anywhere. I googled its description and it's supposedly a model from Mimi Holliday but no where does it ever mention the bra model name/number! I've searched their website; couldn't find it. I've tried searching bratabase; nope. The pic I have isn't mine and it's the only one I've seen! I ... just want to know the model name and i can have closure lol it's sooo pretty!
Edit: I've tried the drag and drop on google but still no luck on finding the brand/model name
Here's the link to the pic:

have you tried reverse searching google images with it? or do you have an imgur link to the picture so we can see it and possibly help you find it?
Yeah, if you have the picture, maybe some of the more lingerie savvy people would know. Alternatively, you can ask Cora from the Lingerie Addict. She knows a ton about lingerie.

I may have messed up my "breast shapes" when I filled this out because I thought I was wider and more shallow than I am. How do I change what I listed there? I googled and looked but can't find it.

Go to your measurements click on edit and change them.
Okay, I only saw measurements, not shapes, there. I'll look again.

I've purchased a few for my mother and would like to measure them before handing them over, but clearly not mine and won't fit me.
What is the best way to go about this? Measure and mark as not owned? Or should I create a throwaway account for measuring stuff that won't fit me? It would be cumbersome to manage multiple accounts, but I don't want bras that aren't mine affecting my recommendations, either.
Thoughts?

Add them to your own account and when you're done, mark as not owned. If you don't mark the fit or put them down them as not fitting, they won't be used to recommend anything, except to let the system know what doesn't work for you. I think it also takes in individual measurements, so if the cup width fits you, even if the rest is wrong, it will take that into account, maybe. It's just a guess, I really don't know anything. :) But I've added bras that I don't own or don't fit me, and my recommendations haven't been messed up. Only good things come from putting more bras in the database!
Thanks. Wasn't sure. My mom is an actual 34DD. I know in general there's way more info on here about the larger sizes, so thought it would be good to add these. Just wasn't sure how it would affect me to put them in with my bras.

From personal experience, how long does it take for EM to reply back to an email?
I emailed them today but I just need an estimate of how long I have to wait for them to reply back.

I've only emailed them a few times but I usually get a reply within 2 days. Actually getting your point across to them seems to take longer, heh. :P
Haha yeah, I messaged them on Facebook and it took a while for them to reply back and even then they didn't answer all my questions.
They did tell me that I can't custom order the S Turkusik anymore, so I figured I'd buy the 70H (sister size to 65HH) and I emailed then asking if it was possible that they could shorten the band to a 65 so it would fit me. I would do it myself but I don't know how and I'm not that good at sewing! What they didn't answer was if I could custom order the BM Aqua in a 65HH (and if not just take a 70H and shorten the band). Now it's all about waiting :( Which I'm not so good at

There are a lot of things still to be done on the help pages. Last week I wrote this one with some information and guidelines on how to use the Private messaging feature.
Please give it a look.

Is it ok to message multiple people if we are interested in multiple listings? Not giveaways but sales and exchanges.
The idea is to try to control abuse on the site, it is fine to reach a number, specially if they are selling their bras since you may not get them all.
I just want to avoid behaviors that might end up in spammy-like conduct, specially if it starts to become wide spread.

I really need to get rid of my bras before August (that's when I'm moving). So I decided to do a deal.
If you buy more then one of my bras, I'll take $5 off the total for each additional bra. So if you buy 2 bras then you'll get $5 off, buy 3 bras you'll get $10 off, etc. Plus I'll also combine shipping.

Some reduced prices! 30D - Freya » Phoebe (5409) only $15 and 32FF - Debenhams » (868089157) only $20! (OBO)

Anything I currently have listed that is $10 or more, I will ship free within the continental US for the rest of the month.
Whatever doesn't sell, I'll be posting on ebay come August, but I'm ebay lazy and don't want to, so the more I can get out of the house before I resort to ebaying them, the happier I'll be.

UPDATE! I just added a 30GG Cleo Melissa NWT
I just listed some more bras! They include 30GG Cleo Natasha, Alexa & Meg (bird print) along with a 30G Freya Ginny. I also lowered the prices on my other bras listed. Which includes a 30GG Curvy Kate Thrill Me, 30GG Freya Ada Plunge, 32G N by Natori Conceal Contour Nomu Bra and a 32G Panache Nancy Bandeau Bikini Top.
I'm hoping to sell all of these to raise up some funds to buy more bras that will hopefully fit!

hint hint, you can type @ and start typing the size or name of your bras and the links to your listings will be suggested, so your adventure contains links to them directly.
OR you could also attach a link to your profile listings so others can easily see what you have available.
They look nice! Wish they'd fit me
yes there was a glitch, thanks for letting me know.
