I've been ordering and returning and selling bras for weeks, I was at the point of having 0 bras that fit earlier this week, and happen to be in Boston for an event this weekend so I visited Intimacy to try on some bras in person, hoping to get a better sense of what works and doesn't without waiting on ... more orders.
We determined that I am between 28J and 30J (I should be roughly 29J if that were a thing?) - some 30 bands are a bit big on me, but the snugger ones are fine as is.
I ended up leaving with a Panache Andorra full cup in 30J. It fits on the middle hook to start. I will have to alter the back eventually.
Cleo Marcie fits in 30J. It is a bit small in 30HH and gives me hexaboob - the center cup seams and the edges dig in. It fits on the tightest hook to start. I will have to alter the back eventually.
Cleo Lucy kind of fits in 30HH but digs in and gives quadboob at the top of the cups - they're a bit too closed.
Panache Tango II is a complete and utter disaster on me in every size, as it always has been.
There were a bunch of others that I was not familiar with and don't remember the names of, unfortunately.
I have a Braologie bra, two Comexims in 65M, and a Cleo Melissa in 30J on their way in the mail. I'm not sure whether they'll work out, I'll just have to wait and hope for the best.
So if my size is roughly 28J/30J in Cleo and Panache, I have three related sizing questions:
1. What size should I try in Ewa?
2. Is there any hope of Curvy Kate Tease Me 30J working out? I want to try it but I'm wondering if I should even bother if the band runs stretchy and the cups run on the small size.
3. What bikini top sizes should I try? Suggestions of specific models?
Thanks for all your help, guys! I thought I was educated about bras when I fitted myself into a 32G (from 36DD) four years ago, but it probably wasn't really right then, and it certainly wasn't right four years later. I've learned so much from this site in the past three months or so and I feel so much better as I approach the perfect bra fit!

I have :) It works pretty good, like up to 2-3 inches off the stretch of the band if you sew a lot, but I wouldn't recommend it if you need it even smaller than that!
I don't think I'd have to take that much off, I'll definitely try it. Thank you :)
