I just remeasured myself and all my measurements seem to have lost an inch off of them. Some of my bras that used to fit quite well feel a bit large, though still passable. And all my bands feel huuuuge. I don't know if it's a hormonal thing, or if it's a permanent change. I haven't ... lost weight or changed size anywhere else, and my boobs have never gotten smaller before, so I'm hoping it's hormonal and my old bras will continue to fit. I just finally built up a sizeable collection and I don't want to have to start over. Plus I love my big boobs, I don't want them to go away.

Don't worry, I think most women go through hormonal fluctuations and such :) It depends how long your changes are, but for me my boobs basically start to explode (?) during ovulation until the end of my period. It is completely normal and I don't think you are losing A LOT of breast volume.
@Cocoviolet: Same here! Ovulation and forward and through period.
Sometimes in the middle though they decide to get smaller for some day. Can be very confusing!

I got a bra today from a lover-ly bratabase-er.
I put it on.
It FIT!
I went to the store in this horrible heat.
There was a bit of poke-y underarm while driving.
But for the past few hours (back home) I've completely forgotten I'm wearing a bra.
I've also forgotten that I have boobs. (I don't mean denial, I just mean they're not in the ... way.)
YAY!
34GG - Panache » Andorra Full Cup (5675) if you were wondering.
I suspect it will be slightly too small in the wires in a month or so, but right now it is HEAVENLY.
And no underarm crease ouchies either!

Congrats on finding a bra that fits! Andorra is awesome <3 I used to love it so much when I fitted into the size range.
@drownedsalad: Yay!!! I am about to get one more of my own I think because I have lost the 32H Andorra somewhere.
Which color did you get?
Could you measure that bra cup depth stretched over knee for me I'd be happy :)

I can't seem to fill out the bottom in the bras that I have tried. I have tried the goddess Keira, Curvy Kate Emily and Elomi Cleo. I don't know if I should count it as a problem when the rest of the bra seems to fit, or just not make it an issue.

Have you tried bras that don't have wires are aren't as wide? Like Fantasie or something?
Where does the wire sit? Right in the fold beneath your breasts or a little lower? If a little lower, and you are full on bottom, the problem might actually be that you need a deeper cup. I have that problem with some bras.

YES!!! I received my Freya Just Flew In longline on Friday and it's a perfect fit!!! I also went to Nordstrom Rack and found 3 other bras that fit beautifully =D I'm so excited and I now have happy boobs! I'll be adding all my bras later today =]

Congratulations on the longline! If you found three more bras that fit at the Rack, you're doing super well!
Ta-da, my first alteration tutorial! I'm no sewing expert, so I used all kinds of random knick knacks to turn my 28E - Tutti Rouge » Betty Bra (TU103) into racerback. Hope you'll enjoy!

Yay! Really turning bras into racerbacks are probably the best solution for narrow shoulders. I've done it as well, but I use those big plastic bag clips. I think the heavier the boobs the firmer the racerback has to be.
So now yu can see what I've been up to
This id by no means the final version but it seemed good enough to air, we'll try to nake it even more precise.
Special thanks to all Bratabase ladies who helped me in the testibg stages <3
Now TRY IT and report back

Wow, this looks so professional! It was pretty close for me. I didn't have a laying down measurement, so I fudged that one. It gave me a 36J, and I usually wear 34 bands, the tighter ( more true to size?) ones with an extender, so it might be nice to also have a " prefer a tighter band?" option. It's also a cup up from my normal target size, but my cups are pretty full these days and tend to be good fits in ones that run bigger, so seems fair enough.
Dead on for my Fantasie size.

Wacoal is on hautelook, I believe they use USA sizes so be really careful. Sophisticated Pair has a lot of reviews featuring Wacoal, so if you're interested check the reviews out as well.
Wacoal's celebrated success in Japan led designer Koichi Tsukamoto to make his foray into America during the spring of 1985. The brand's luxurious designs are beautifully crafted with exquisite materials—think delicate lace, sumptuous satin and alluring mesh—that lend each piece ...

My 80G - Ewa Michalak » Hp Nina (226) is larger in the cup than 75H - Ewa Michalak » S Fresh and I must admit it confuses me. People say S run large in the cup but I've never heard anyone saying HP does. Since for some reason Nina seems to fit in the cup the way I want a bra to fit I would have wanted more bras like her.
Edit: problem solved. Strap position differs from 6.5 cm from the outer wire tip on Fresh and 9.5 cm from HP Nina.

Do you mean it's larger by measurements, or it's effectively larger? Like, my 30J - Cleo » Meg Balconnet (6751) would logically have less volume in it than my 30K - Panache » Ariza Balconnet Bra (5051) , as the cups are roughly the same depth, but the Ariza has wider cups, but I find that the Meg is a better fit than the Ariza, because the volume is where I need it, out at the front and centre. Ariza has its volume at the sides, and a fairly shallow slope, so it's too top-centre shallow for me and I spill out.
Right now, I'm really wishing I'd managed to wrap my head around integration approximation methods for 3 dimensional objects. That's going to keep me awake thinking about it. I'm sure we should be able to apply trapezoidal rule or midpoint rule to bras to obtain a rough approximation of holding volume. I'm just not super sure of the best way of doing it.
HP cups are quite wide and shallow. While S cups are very narrow and very deep/tall, so they need more volume to fill the cup.

Hi folks, I am desperate to try the Curvy Kate Fleurty. It's SO gorgeous, and I love the idea of that "Showgirl" cleavage without all the frills along the top of the cup.
I normally take a UK 36F, (CK Smoothie fits me well in that size), but the only place I can find still selling that size is at ... full price. Normally I'm fine with that, but A) this wouldn't be an everyday bra and B) I've pretty much had to buy all new bras in the last month, so I'm reluctant to spend $72 even if it's that beautiful.
I did find someone selling a 36E for a much more affordable price. On paper, according to my measurements/that bra's measurements, it shouldn't fit. However, I find that Freya Deco fits me best in 36E (even with slight gaping still) and Fleurty's listed measurements in that size are not far off from Deco's. Plus, I have a full size difference between sides and 36E is really the best no-gaping fit for the smaller side. I know the shape of the bra makes a big difference overall. I'm quite full on bottom and it seems like sizing down could be the right choice anyway. Does anyone think this is a bra I could maybe fit in a 36E, or should I hold out for my regular size?

It probably won't fit. The Deco runs large and Showgirl runs small. I'd look into 36FF or 34G since the Smoothie also runs large in the cup and firmer in the band than most showgirl bras (though they seem to be rectifying this slowly, so the 36FF might be the better suggestion).
Wow! I wish that bra would fit me in the same way but I doubt it would. I completely agree it looks natural. Regency cleavage definitely!
Awesome, isn't it! :D
