I just ran the numbers and have made some surprising discoveries that indicate that I(1) am obsessed and (2) need a budget. Since April--when I coincidentally gained two new interests, Finding a Bra That Fits and birdwatching--I have spent a net total of $630(!) on bras. This includes return shipping, as well as refunds (so if I made a $100 ... order from, say, Bare Necessities, then returned everything, getting a +$100 refund but incurring a $6.95 return shipping bill, the net expense recorded would be $6.95.) This also includes some 8(!) bras which I have ordered but which have not yet arrived.
SPENT PER MONTH: $157.50
PRICE PER BRA, including those that have not yet arrived: $37
I currently own 9 bras (not including those that have not yet arrived), all of which I have acquired since the start of my experiment. (I've achieved 100% bra turnover: I no longer own any of the mis-sized bras I used to wear before April.) But I also don't currently own any bras that I would describe as perfect.
Of the 9:
* 2 are vastly the wrong size (34D) because they were purchased before I knew my true bra size. I don't wear these and am looking to sell them.
* 4 are 1-2 sizes off (32DD). They were purchased in the middle of my true-size-conversion. (They're actually four colors of the same model. I snapped up a bunch in a clearance sale but now I wish I hadn't bought so many.) They are clearly off-size in several ways, yet extremely comfortable. I wear these most of the time. I may sell/exchange them if I find something equally comfortable but better sized, but for now, I need them.
* 3 are exactly the right size (30F), but I find them uncomfortable and/or impractical with my clothing (frilly lacy bras when all I wear is T-shirts). I'm trying to learn to like these, but I don't want to wear them much. Right now they mostly serve the purpose of reminding me what well-sized looks like.

30H, yes, and the answer to the band is, it depends.
As a general rule, a lot of ladies take a smaller band in Freya than a lot of the other UK bands because they run looser and/or stretch out quickly.
I haven't tried ruffle my feathers, but have tried a lot of the other sheer cup freyas, which are mostly based on Arabella, which runs firmer in the band. I usually buy them in the same size and wear an extender to break it in, as most of them don't stay that firm for long, and stretch out to a more traditional freya size pretty quickly. I don't know if the ruffle my feathers is like that, but it's been my general experience with the sheer cups.
I think you'll find, with the exception of the sheer and semi-sheer bras, most of freya's offerings will probably fit closer to the gem.
Blah, what a pain in the ass.
So Gem = 30H. Cool.
Ruffle My Feathers, I think I'd try a 32H. The 32 band is fine; the GG was a little small. I've had luck in that size in some other lines, so not a surprise.
So then if I want to try a non-sheer (What counts as semi-sheer? RMF is obviously sheer.), it sounds like I'd want to do the tighter band like the Gem, so 30. Do I want to follow that cup-size pattern and go with a 30H, or assume that I'd want the cup size I'd take in a sheer 32H but with the smaller band and go with a 30HH?
