I wanted to love this bra, I really did. The price was right and it was really cute. But, it just didn't fit. When I first got it I thought it was tight, but, most bras are and I figured it'd stretch out. It never did. I also lost some weight and now the cups are too big. The bra just doesn't fit me right.
In this size, the cup is a 2 piece cup not 3 as with some of the larger sizes.
The seam between padding and lace hit right across my nipple and the cut caused a weird issue where it was too tight near the 'point' of the cup but loose elsewhere. Awkward shape. Good cleavage though, and would make a good 'bedroom' bra. Just was a mess under clothing, creating weird boob bulges.
I am a top heavy, rounded shape with little projection. This might be awesome on you if you are bottom heavy, pointier shaped.
Very pretty, bright carnation pink with white lace details. Feels well made.
The thin foam padding of this 30F purple Parfait Donna Padded Bra is thicker and more rigid than that in: (1) all my Fauve Padded Half Cup Bras (Marla in Midnight, Maya in Butterscotch, Emmanuelle in Ink) (2) my Fantasie Rebecca Spacer Foam Underwire Bras in Purple
The thin foam padding of this 30F purple Parfait Donna Padded Bra is thinner and slightly more flexible than that in: Parfait by Affinitas Casey in Beige
The 30F purple Parfait Donna Padded Bra fits well. The side view shows a slightly flattened above-the-nipple appearance, but that does not denote an ill fit. My ...Fantasie Rebeccas' side view is evenly uplifted. My Fauve half cups have a miraculously rounded and projected side view. It is probably not fair to compare the side view of a half cup to a balconette's, though, which is what I believe the Donna is. I'm pretty sure the Donna would hide any evidence of nipples no matter how cold it got. My Fantasie Rebecca bras do not always do this. My Fauve half cups always do, but mine have evenly textured fabric to accomplish this.
Until recently I avoided even lightly padded bras because they take up more space than unlined bras. My unbelievably gorgeous Fauve half cups won me over. I'm not sure it would be worth keeping the Donna if only because its rigidity means it would take up more space than the above mentioned bras.
I bought the Parfait Donna Padded Bra used, and it arrived covered in dog hair and god knows what else. It also has fraying elastic that looks like whitish-clear threads sticking up from the mesh wings. The previous owner had machine washed it. I will be donating this bra because I can't get the horrific image of its initial arrival out of my head.
Like my review for the 30F, the 30FF is OMG comfy! This bra gives great lift and a nice shape. The straps are fully adjustable and very comfortable (not scratchy unlike some Freya straps). The band is firm, but could definitely be tighter. The wires do not dig, nor do they poke. The lace overlay is not noticeable under clothing, but will obviously show under semi-sheer or very thin tops (think layering shirts). There are also 3 hooks on the 30FF vs 2 on the 30F. Like the 30F Casey, this bra does show a bit under a heavy white cotton t-shirt (again, clingy), but not other colored clingy cotton tees.
Con: the band rides up a bit in the back compared to the 30F. The cup also comes up much higher than the 30F, and it cuts into my underarms a bit. It isn't uncomfortable, but it isn't ideal, either. I don't know if I should keep this one (where my larger breast doesn't run the risk of spilling out) or keep the 30Fbra...ughh.
OMG, sooo comfy! This bra gives great lift and a nice shape. The straps are fully adjustable and very comfortable (not scratchy unlike some Freya straps). The band is firm, but could be a wee bit tighter, but I do prefer a tighter band overall. The wires do not dig, nor do they poke. The lace overlay is not noticeable under clothing, but will obviously show under semi-sheer or very thin tops (think layering shirts). Unfortunately, this bra does show a bit under a heavy white cotton t-shirt (again, clingy), but not other colored clingy cotton tees.
My only con is that the cup cuts into my larger breast and during a days wear I would have shifting and quad-boobage. If you're on the smaller side of a 30F, go for it! If between sizes, order a cup up. Also, if you are a true 28, do not order this bra! It will likely stretch out too fast and no longer be supportive.
I bought the pink 30E Parfait by Affinitas Anna Wire Bra in September 2012, but I haven't worn it much. In October 2012, I bought the same bra in 30F, which fit much better. The wires were wider, and the side view was more rounded.
I haven't worn either bra much since then because while I don't mind my bras showing through my tops, there are limits. The pretty appliques are startlingly bulky under shirts. The straps dig in a bit in the front, though that's only in comparison to my very comfortable Fantasie and Fauve bras, which I now prefer.

The cups are shallow and would probably suit someone slightly full on top. The construction is good, with nice wide straps (not fully adjustable, but there's a fair amount of adjustable length) and soft boning in the wings. The fabric feels lovely - really soft and smooth. It's a beautiful bra. I especially love the adorable cameo charm at the gore. The band is not very stretchy at all. My only issue, apart from the band being slightly too tight (which I knew it probably would be, but it was on sale, so I took a risk), is that the band is a little scratchy where the hooks are attached. I'm hoping that will soften up after I wash it.
This bra is very cute and appears to be made of nice material. However, it shows under my clothes sometimes if the fabric is light or too thin (just the stripes, not the texture). It is also extremely, extremely tight. I normally have problems with the 30in band size stretching out and being too loose, but, this one just won't stretch out! It's very frustrating. I'm disappointed in the overall fit/comfortness of it because I've never had a bra not be comfortable since I was appropriately sized.
This bra does run tight in the band. I had to use a bra extender to try it on- not sure how much it would loosen up though with a bit of wear. It is a really pretty bra.. but the fit is not quite right. unsure why. I think maybe its a bit wide set for me(?).. I do love it though..
The band is very snug and comfortable, but I just don't fill it out. I think it's better for someone with very round, full breasts. It also has some rubbery lining to help it stay up if used as a strapless.
The band fits great. The underwire does not hurt which is usually a problem for me because I have no padding around my ribcage. It gives a great shape when I am standing, but some gapping occurs when I slouch. The straps should be kept far apart for the cup to fit better. I do think that a 30E might of fit better, so I may have to try it in the future. Still, I'm keeping this bra because it's comfy!
After an exchange, I tried the Charlotte in the 30F and noticed an obvious improvement with the gore, which now tacks down all the way and not just at the bottom. Very nice! On the other hand, I'm still having some problems with very slight quadboob on my larger breast. It wasn't enough to be noticeable under my tight shirts, though, so I'm pretty happy with the fit. It's a beautiful bra otherwise. I think Parfait by Affinitas has a lot of really good things for me, and I like their styles, so I think I'm going to keep ordering Parfait bras https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Parfait Charlotte Half-Cup Underwire Bra. (The name of the bra in the title got changed, not by me. The invoice and bra tag both confirm that the bra I got is the half-cup version. This is the one that has a bandeau-ish look to it.)
First off, this is such a good looking bra! I absolutely love the way it looks and wish oh-so-desperately that I could keep it! Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. I heard that this line ran off in both cup and band, so I figured that a 30 band would work for me (I'm normally a 28 band and could probably fit in a ...26), which it did. No problem there. The cup size, however, was more off than I'd heard. The reviews I read said that it ran one cup size small, so I felt confidant ordering a 30G since I'm normally a 28G and a 30G would be the equivalent of a 28GG. Nope. I still need at least another cup size up, possibly two. Because this line only goes up to G cups, I'm just out of luck with this bra. I wish Affinitas would expand their size range, because I would probably buy two or three of these (told you I loved it). Oh well.
I have very wide-set, shallow, full-on-bottom breasts and the width of the wires one the sides was fine for me. I think that with a larger cup, this would have worked well for my shape, so if you have a similar shape and slightly smaller breasts (less than a GG cup), you might consider giving this a try. I've read a few reviews of other Affinitas bras that mentioned quality issues, but the bra I got seemed quite well made, with good materials. Also, even though the cup size was quite off, the bra was still very comfortable. Read more 203 more words
Band is a little snug compared to other 34's I own, but not tight enough to need to go up a band size. Contoured cups are perfectly sized & wires are wide just the way I like them. The structure of the cups smoothly hides any breast size difference.Design is exotic and sexy. Leopard print mesh over black 1/2-way up cups with two decorative satin vertical strips of ribbon (looks like seams from a 4-part cup). Red satin bow decorates the center gore with a cute round silver charm dangling from it, imprinted with the brand name. Straps are fully adjustable elastic with pretty crocheted edging. Bra is comfortable except for slightly tight band which I expect will stretch out quickly. An extender is always an option at first. I will definitely be looking at more Parfait by Affinitas bras in the future!
Beautiful bra, but I decided to go 1 and half cups up from my "normal" size (28DD/E) and it ended up being too big https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I don't feel like the band is actually like a 28.. It stretches to 31 inches, and that's about the size of a 30. Perhaps they updated it be more accurately sized?
I will be exchanging this for a 30DD and be reviewing that one more in depth!
This bra, as with most Parfait by Affinitas items, does not fit true to size. Both the band and cup are a size small. So it's labeled 30G, but really fits like a 28G.
This bra is really sexy and gives great cleavage. I love the vintage look. But there's something about the fit that is just a little off on me and I can't put my finger on why. The only obvious problem is that the gore does not tack to my sternum.
I used to be 28FF, but my boobs grew to 28G about a year ago. Ever since then, the Parfait bras just don't feel right on me. When I was 28FF, I bought the brand in 30FF and they were the most perfect, comfortable bras I'd ever tried. But now that I take a 30G, they just don't work on me anymore. It's a real shame because I think the quality is great and I love the look, but this obviously just isn't the brand for me.
The Parfait by Affinitas Anna unpadded half cup is pretty and fits well. (Please note I've entered it into Bratabase as a new model, but it is in fact the one called Anna Wired Bra. The bra model that already exists in Bratabase as the Anna Wired Bra is described as the Half Padded version, which is incorrect. The Anna balcony bra is the padded one. I haven't tried that one. I entered mine as a new model to make clear it is NOT padded.) It is lined only with mesh that is the same fabric and color as the outer cup material. There is a side sling ...of the same thin mesh. The side sling continues 2.5" above the top edge of the cup, tapering to a triangular shape that then connects to the strap. The review on hourglassy.com has some good pictures.
The wires contain all my side tissue and come up high enough under the arms. I should note that my cup width and depth measurements are taken as though the underwire is long enough to fill the channel. As in many bras, however, there is almost half an inch of unfilled underwire channel. My wire length measurement reflects the actual wire length.
While my fit issues entry says this bra causes quadboobing, I feel pattyt's review accurately describes it as a style, rather than fitting, issue. The seam at the top of the cups, which is covered by applique, is tighter than the rest of the cup. The side view shows a slight flattening in that area.
The sewing was a little sloppy where the applique was attached at the front of the right cup. It doesn't ruin the bra for me. I haven't worn this as much as I expected because the appliques are thick and show through a lot of tops. While I don't mind evidence that I am wearing a bra or that I am a mammal (nipples), this bra is by far the most insistent on being seen under tops.
There is side boning, which I like, but it started curving out and away from my body after a few wears. Unlike the boning in the Donna Wired Bra, the Anna's boning doesn't seem strong enough to play its part with the bra's other elements. This curving out doesn't affect the look when I wear clothes.
