I ordered this bra because it was on sale on amazon for $30, and I love how it looks.

Technically, it doesn't fit me - it's just the wrong shape for my breasts. It's too open on the top for me, and doesn't have quite enough immediate projection on the bottom. However, it's amazingly comfortable. The straps aren't too wide, the wires are the right width for me, the band is nicely snug, it's really pretty...

I played around with pinching closed the gaping fabric on the top, and doing so makes it look good and fit nicely - closing off the top seems to change the shape enough that the lack of space in the bottom becomes less of an issue. . So I'm keeping it anyway, as a quick alteration project.

    • It looks like if the strap placement was taken in then the wrinkling would go away. I have that problem a lot

    • 1

Quite possibly. The strap placement on a lot of bras annoys me.

I sewed the top up so it's less open though and it fits great :)

So! This bra doesn't fit, but it sure is pretty. I'm not really a pink flowers kinda person, but I saw this on sale and had to have it. It was part of Panache 's SS2016 collection so most stores are trying to get rid of it.

My shape/size: 34J (ish), short roots, narrow, projected, soft tissue, pendulous, even to full on bottom, some center fullness (I think).

TLDR this bra would fit: someone with similar breasts to me, but who needs wider wires and has more outer fullness.

It's soft. It's pretty. I really like the extra mesh lining inside the cup. For the love of glorb Panache ... can you just make your straps fully adjustable and move them in a centimeter or two.

Considering the band is too large (causing the wires to sink past my IMF) I was impressed with how much lift and projection I was able to get. I'm not sure if the pictures really show that, or the odd shape it gave me. I think that shape is due to it being too wide in the wire. I can only describe it as a softened triangle or bullet shape. I couldn't fill the outer half of the cup so there was no roundness, just weird looking flatness before the projection kicked in at the apex/nipple/front of my breast/not sure what the technical term is. I also like how closed it is on top for daily wear; I move around a lot at work so anything that can hold me in when I'm powerwalking or bending over is appreciated. I think on the right person it would give a nice rounded shape too.

Unfortunately, thanks to the shape mismatch I really don't think there's a size this bra would work for me in.

As usual, I have to appreciate the typical Panache GG+ cup touches: extra, soft lining underneath the straps and near the hooks. I'm trying on a Curvy Kate bra right now and it could really use some of those details.

This bra also did weird things to me, but the uplift was insane. In fact, there was way too much of it. I feel ya on those soft fabrics: Curvy Kate has a long way to go to improve fabric softness.

    Fits

This bra is probably going to be my new favorite bra.

It is beautiful - the pattern on the cup, the lace edging both at the top of the cup and the bottom of the gore, and the deep purple color. It is comfortable - even without breaking it in yet I think it'll be more comfortable than my 36H - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) , which is saying something. And it fits great on me.

There's just one thing that's bugging me - I bought it expecting to get a subtle, rounded shape (since that seems to be most common, looking at other ... owners on here and ABTF). When I first put it on and swooped-and-scooped, it gave me a more cakes-on-plates look, similar to how my 36HH - Cleo » Lucy (5851) looks. When I gave my breasts a few minutes to settle in, the effect is lessened and it becomes much more rounded, but my smaller breast retains more of the pointy look. None of my other bras really highlight the difference between my breasts like that, but it's also caused me to realize that my asymmetry is more shape-related than size (my 'smaller' breast has much less upper fullness than the larger).

So, basically, very little upper fullness may cause you to get a pointier shape than anticipated in this bra, but otherwise it's great and I want five more of them.

    • I love the purple! I would be tempted to buy it, but the projection is not enough for me so the wires keep slipping down and hurting me. I do see your shape in this bra is very different from mine - interesting. I have it in black.

    • It's SUCH a beautiful purple - my horrible bathroom cellphone pics do not remotely do it justice.

I see that! Interesting indeed. You have Floris marked as fitting you and it was way too open on top for me, though, so probably very different shapes and that's why.

    • The floris's top lace is a bit loose on me, although I seem to settle in to it a bit - but its just not a problem compared to how well the rest of it fits. I have no idea if i'm full on top - my boobs are so saggy I dont know what I'd be looking for. But I guess when they are cinched in to a bra, it squished up and down lol

    • ahh, yes, I see your floris has even more loose fabric on top. and in your lucy I feel like I get a better idea about how you are less full-on-top than I am.

Cute, pretty good construction fabric is not as nice as some other panache bras. A pretty close fit that hurts in weird ways on me but at the same time weirdly almost fits well. Underwire is definitely being pushed too low bbut it doesn't hurt. The straps have plastic bits to hook into a racerback or whatever and those dug in and hurt really bad at first. And it's starting to hurt bad under the armpits but the wires aren't going up too high, its like they dig in because they haven't filled out the fabric wire tube on the side, this is my guess because most bras ... I try on have a higher wing height and don't cause the same issues, typically its wing heights under 5 inches that tend to hurt me like this one does. I had started to suspect that bras what have top stretch lace but no elastic strip were never going to work on me because the few of those I've tried on my breasts try to escape out the middle and become extremely jiggly but with this one they don't! So I'm not sure why maybe because this bra has a higher cup height. Overall this bra seems to be actually providing some lift to my breasts and I don't feel like one of those wires with little clips they use at the dentist to put the paper on your chest would help provide support (I don't feel like i need an extra strap to go around my neck to pull my boobs up off my stomach if that makes sense). I've been sitting down for a while now and the underwires still don't hurt and typically when trying on a new bra that feels fine at first this will cause some discomfort or pain pretty quickly. I am wearing a bra extender for this to fit!

I don’t love the shape, cone nips. Veryyyyyy similar shape to the Freya.
Straps DO NOT adjust all the way. (Whyyyyy)
Wings under arms poke a little bit. Not the underwire, just the extra fabric.
Spilling over top of cups, not a hard line but a bump.
A very severe gore that separates like the parting of the sea.

This bra has the least amount of wrinkling I’ve had yet in the bottom of the cup. It actually stays in my IMF after wearing it for a while, unlike all the other styles I’ve tried. Great for immediate projection! The lace is very soft and I would love to wear a bra with this material.

Unfortunately, the wires are too high all around, nearly in my armpits on my side and resting on tissue for my larger breast in the center. The straps are alsoi a bit too wide for my comfort (nearly to my shoulders).

While I found and purchased this bra during a professional fitting in a specialty bra shop, I decided it did not fit me well. I like the dark blue and black lace pattern on the smooth cups, the black mesh on the wings/back, and the stretchy lace at top of cups.

Jazzy J! I held off trying the Jasmine, I think because of it's reputation for a pointy shape. Then I tried one (34JJ - Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951), and it was, in fact, pointy, and I didn't care for it. But I thought I'd see if a smaller cup size would help pull in the points. And it did! I quite like this 36HH in black.

This bra has a four-part construction with vertical seams and a side panel. The top panel is stretch lace with no elastic strip along the edging. The bottom panels are a single-layered mesh - quite light, but not ... unsturdy. I find when I wear it, the cups "disappear" and I just feel the wires and band.

Speaking of the band, I had a blowout the other day when I tried it. Apparently my breasts are rather low-set with my IMF not far above the bottom rib in front. The Jasmine's band rode down till it was resting on the ridge of the last rib, and when I yawned and stretched my ribcage contracted and whoops! The band slipped right over the edge onto my stomach. I took some pictures of the effect, which felt worse under the shirt than it looked outside of it. Anyway, I have ordered a 34J sister size to see if it will still work with the tighter band.

The wires on this one are just a bit too long for me and the wings too high, so it can get uncomfortable under the armpits at times. No surprise for me with Panache.

Overall I think this one fits! If I don't keep it, it will only be for budgetary reasons and that I think it will be easier for me to find a Jasmine later on than a Thea, which I am also happy with. 34J - Panache » Thea Balconnet Bra (9261)

A really comfortable bra. Issues include a gore that is too tall and a very stretchy band. Cup is stretchy but supportive and has side wings for improved shape. Straps are a bit slick and don't always hold the right length or stay put.

The cups of this bra fit me like a glove. No quadding and the gore tacks. However, the tips of the underwire at both ends poke me in the armpit and between at the top of the gore. The material is also sort of scratchy, but the biggest issue is that the wing height is too tall for me.

I was waiting for this cut since it was announced since it is supposedly based on my personal favorite Panache cut, the Floris. Despite the lack of reviews a few weeks after its release, I took the plunge anyway. The print fell a little flat for me, which is odd because I was very much excited about it. I'm not sure exactly why, but it feels a little plain to me. The lace is indeed stretch, but it offers only minor give; it's relatively firm and completely unlike lace from Jasmine/Andorra. I actually do like this type of stretch upper panel quite a bit, I feel it would ... be more forgiving than Floris's stiff mesh. I was a little disappointed in some aspects of the construction, most notably being the power net for the band panels. Floris has this luxurious silky fabric that makes the bra feel very high quality and smooth, while Thea has the ever-so-slightly scratchy power mesh. This may be good for summer, perhaps. The cup's construction seemed to be made with materials similar to Floris.

    As for the fit:
Compared to my 36HH Floris, the 36HH Thea does not allow for quite as much center fullness, therefore the gore floats enough to stick a finger underneath it. I did not have any quadding, however, so I'm not sure how sizing up in the cup would work for me. Because the band is a light pink, it is not terribly firm, and I would say that it is true to size for light-colored Panache balconettes.

The biggest turn off for this bra was the insane shape it gave me. I am not a stickler for shape problems - I accept that a few Panache cuts can make me a bit pointy (Jasmine, Andorra), while others give me a very round look (Floris, Envy to some extent.) Thea, however, gives me the most abnormal shape I've ever seen, quite pointy with odd cutting in along the outsides. I attached a drawing I made that helps me illustrate what happens with this cup on me. This shape can be seen in the model's photograph slightly (I took it as a fluke mismatch of cut and model), and it is made much more apparent in larger cup sizes. This issue was also likely further complicated by my softer breast tissue. I'm not really sure who will be able to find a match in the Thea, but this odd shape has me shipping Thea back ASAP.

This bra fits so well!!! I'm so sad I didn't find it until it was discontinued https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> My one complaint is that, like most Panache superbras I've tried, the bottom edge of the band is quite tight. While this definitely make the band very stable, by the end of the day I am happy to take it off.
Everything else though is great. The cups don't cut in, there's no gaping anywhere, everything is held securely in place. I will just note that, although it is called a 'balconnet', it is more of a full cup. It is still fairly open on top, so if you have upper fullness it may be something to try.

I love the way the cups fit, there are no gaps and no spilling. the band feels tight though, at first I thought maybe because I needed to break it is but the longer I wore it the worse it felt. The underwire is poking my underarms and making the bra quite uncomfortable. the center gore felt like it was pressing too hard on my chest but I think that's because the band is too small.

  17. Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951)

So, I own 36HH - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) already, so I was expecting a very similar fit out of Jasmine, being as they're basically the same cut. I was not wrong. I feel like in some ways Jasmine actually wins out for me, though.

The band was very tight - I actually had trouble fastening it. I had the same problem with Envy, though I think in both cases it's because of the colorway; my Envy is Cassis (a deep purple) and my Jasmine is Black Ricamo, and darker dyes, especially blacks, can cause a fabric to not stretch so much. Once it's ... fastened, though, it feels fine. Snug, but not so much that it feels like it's cutting into me.

Wires are a bit wide, though a little bit narrower than Envy, so that's nice. The sides feel like they don't come up too high, and the gore is both perfect in height and width.

Jasmine feels like it has a lot more immediate projection to it than Envy does, and I get a different shape out of it. Envy gives me an uplifted but more rounded shape; Jasmine gives me a VERY uplifted shape; from the front it's very round, while from the sides a fair bit pointier. Which, frankly, I like.

I also like the fabric it's made of. The floral print is nice (though I'm getting a bit bored of floral prints), and the material is nicely soft. I must say, much as I love the lace on Envy, it can rub against my skin and get uncomfortable after a while.

    Good bra.

    • I have two each of Jasmine (champagne/pink and pink and black houndstooth) and Envy (cassis and "nude," all in 30FF. They're my best fits and my favorite bras.

However, I prefer the Envy because on me it definitely has more immediate projection than the Jasmine, so its wires stay up in my inframammary fold better than the Jasmine's do. (My firm tissue loves to push underwires right down onto my rib flare. Painful!)

I suspect this has to do with us being in very different size ranges.

    • Quite possible! I know that my Envy likes to push itself down, though I suspect that part of that is how high the sides are as well - they are TALL. Jasmine's sides are shorter, at least on mine, so I'm hoping it'll be less of an issue.

I know I've seen a fair amount of back and forth about which of the two bras have more projection and which is wider/narrower, so I think that varies a lot by size.

    • My breasts are rooted fairly low on my chest, so there are no wires/wings out there that are too high on me. I'm almost always wishing they were taller/higher for a smoother line under my arms!

The Jasmine is a bit narrower in the wires than the Envy in my size, too.

I wanted to like this one. The color is pretty, the bra itself is covered in pretty lace...but it wasn't to be.

I can't even fasten it, for starters. It feels like it's much tighter than a 36 band should be. I can JUST barely get it to fasten if I flip it around so the fasteners are in front, but it feels far too tight, and I just can't get it while I've got the bra on.

The other big problem with it is that the wires are too narrow for me. I've been going back and forth if my roots were really as wide as I had thought, but putting this on made it really obvious that yes, I AM in fact that wide.

Makes me sad, because just holding the cups over my breasts, they seem okay, and they look good, but...it's not wearable for me.

Ah well. Back to amazon it goes.

Bra is really pretty, but too big. It's both big in the band, and big in the cups. The center gore is too high, and covers too much of my chest. It's a lovely color, and it is very well made, just the wrong fit for me. I feel like the shape is droopy teardrop, and I need more boost. For those who like the more natural shape, it would probably work, but for me it just doesn't.
