This bra is comfortable, and I feel like the band may be a little big. I like the shape of the cups and the coverage seems pretty good for a plunge but I bought it for when my boobs shrink down after nursing so I can't comment on fit too much. It obviously is too small for now!
My measurements for reference: snug 32, BTT 30.5, standing 38.5, leaning 41, lying 39. Pendulous, projected, narrowish shortish root, FOB/even (I think). I have a lot of outside fullness.
This was my first bra that fit (I've had it for several months now). The Caramel colour is a decent nude, if a bit dark for my skin tone. I chose it because of the stretch lace, mainly, because I had an Andorra that I loved although it was far too big for me once I stopped breastfeeding. This is less lacy and more business-like than the Andorra, but not too plain. The main part of the cups has ...a subtle houndstooth pattern, which gives it a little interest.
When I first put this bra on, it is perfection. Seriously. In that moment, I think, I will just keep buying this bra and no other forever. Band is comfortably snug, the gore tacks, the wires are a good width, the cups fit like a glove on BOTH sides, the side panel pulls in my outer fullness, and it gives me a lovely lifted round shape. It's comfortable. The seams are smooth and don't show through anything. I mean, what else could you want, except to have it in every colour?
However, by the end of the day, that lovely soft material and stretchy lace get tired. The lace starts to flap just a little bit near the gore. I won't say my boobs sag, exactly, but they're certainly much more relaxed than they were in the morning. The shape is still decent, more natural than round at this point. It still looks fine under the clothes. It just disappoints me a little when I take off my shirt.
The stretchy fabric is what gives the fabulous fit, of course, but the flip side is that it doesn't seem to hold up so well over time. (And yes, I hand wash my bras always!)
That being said, it's still one of my favourite bras. I will definitely buy more, but probably won't pay full price.
I have a black one that's on my "Get around to making a listing" list if you are interested. Only worn 2-3 times.
I remember you also said in your comment yesterday that the Envy's fabric kind of gives up on you over the course of the day. I was surprised by that, because even though we have similarly sized breasts (30FF here), that has not been my experience with either of my Envys ("nude" and cassis).
I think this is where shape/tissue consistency comes in, since I have firm tissue (hardly any difference between my standing, leaning, and lying bust measurements) and a self-supporting bust. So the bra has less work to do on me and keeps its shape over the course of two wearings between washes. At least that's the best explanation I can come up with.
plutonium743 yes, I might be interested! I need a black bra.
Mareka I most definitely don't have firm tissue! So that is probably the issue. I'm making my poor Envy work too hard :)
I'd like to add that depending on how much of a 'puller and tugger' you are over the course of the time you're wearing the Envy (or any bra that features stretchy lace in the upper or entire bra cup), that can affect whether or not it gets a bit 'floppy' towards the end portion of a single wearing. Sometimes it's unconsciously getting adjusted by the wearer, especially if they are moving around a lot and thus want to make sure their boobs stay in the bra. If you're new to wearing bras in the right size, habits that were developed when you were wearing a not-so-ideal bra size sometimes need a conscious effort to break - I know that's been true for me. In the wrong size I was constantly fiddling and adjusting my bra trying to not only be comfortable but to compensate for its moving, pinching, and general weird sensation. I catch myself doing that on occasion now that I've figured out my size range, even when there's nothing needing to be adjusted.
Gorgeous- the best fitting bra I've ever owned. The chocolate color is great on a redhead, and the lace detail is pretty but gets the job done. Awesome bra.
Me:FoT, narrow and tall root, average projection, splayed.
The band and cups are quite comfortable on this bra. It gives me a nice uplifted shape and the lace on top accommodate my upper fullness well. The band is a little bit loose because I sister sized up from my usual 30FF since the store didn't have my size. Overall this bra is amazing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Beautiful, comfortable bra! I've been wanting this one forever and finally got it. The band has a bit more give to it than the Cleo's I'm used to, which is nice in a way. It's definitely more full coverage than I expected. The wires are also a tad wide but nothing painful or irritating. Overall, terrific bra. Fits a lot like Cleo Marcie but with slightly taller cups.
This is my second panache bra, the first is the envy, both are the nude color. I like this bra and its fit; it's pretty close in dimensions to the envy which fits me really well. The material of this bra isn't terribly thin but the bra isn't padded nor does it have the layer of foam whatever that contour (t-shirt) bras have; I personally don't have any nipple show through, but I can see how it might be possible for anyone with darker or more prominent nipples.
Update - I think that the material this bra is made with handled washing poorly, and it definitely made it ...start to squeak when my body was moving while wearing. It was a hand wash and hang dry. I don't like the squeak. It Also now gives me quads and overflow to the sides. (sigh) I am unsure what to do with it now because I'd be embarrassed to donate it and wouldn't sell it because no one would want a bra that squeaks even if it did fit their breast shape/size. I rated the quality as ok because the stitching is holding and the major stress points in the construction are fine but the materials used are poor and noisy. Read more 102 more words
A little bit pointy and structured on me. I don't mind pointy but this bra look a bit funny on the outside of my breast, I think it is because of the three seams. The outside seam inside the bra pushes into my breast a little bit to much. This bra feels really good on though, and is very pretty. It gives an almost minimizing effect. You feel very secure and supported in this bra. The lace at the bottom rolls a little bit on me and can get itchy, especially in the summer when its hotter .
This is not a great fit for me. The band is too tight and I've learned, per my Marcie fitting help request, that this distorts the fit of the cup. I've got vertical pulling going even on my fuller breast, empty space at the bottom, too high and wide gore, and too wide straps. I'd have to try going up a band size/down a cup size to judge it more fairly.
Really liking this one so far. The gore is maybe a PINCH too high, but it doesn't dig except for when I bend weird. The band is on the larger side so I have to wear it on the tightest setting. Overall, a great fit for me, supportive and beautiful.
I love the fit of this bra! For once the wires are wide enough without poking anywhere, the band is snug enough on the loosest hooks so it won't be stretched out by next month, the cups contain everything without any wrinkles or cutting in, and the material is soft not scratchy!
My boobs start somewhat under my arms and are pretty much equally full top and bottom. I'm 5'1" and short in the torso as well, making bras hard to fit. This bra manages to corral my boobs to a more front and outward projection, which I'll admit makes them look bigger on my frame, but I'm ok with that as long as the bra is comfortable (which it is!).
This bra was basically a disaster for me. A shame because it's would be a great neutral bra that's has nice soft material.
As you can see in my pictures, there is LOT of space left in the bottom of the cups, even though I am quite FOB. And yet, the top of the cups cut into me and give quad-book.
The overall large size of the cups and the short projection means that this bra is clearly designed for an even breast that is fairly shallow.
The band is extremely firm with almost no stretch at all, so I would suggest maybe sizing up in the band. I only had it on for a few minutes to take pictures and was pretty uncomfortable the whole time.
This bra fits my larger breast wonderfully, but it wrinkles visibly on my smaller side so I'm going to let it go. The lace is soft and comfy, and I like the bright but not garish watermelon colour.
This bra fits the best out of everything I've tried. The lace is very stretchy to accommodate many different shapes. I still need to break it in more, since it starts feeling uncomfortable after all-day wear. I imagine that will go away in time, though. My main complaint is that this tends to give me a pointier silhouette than what I prefer.
I have a black one that's on my "Get around to making a listing" list if you are interested. Only worn 2-3 times.
