  1. Sports Bra (5021)

This is the second Panache sports bra that I own and the third one I have tried. I originally tried the 32DD and was a bit squished. The next one was the 32F which was fine but a little bit too wide and tall. This one is in between.

The cups do fit a bit better than the 32F and compress me a little more. The 32F is a very round shape, but due to the taller cups, I do have a little bit of empty space in the cups at the top as I’m soft tissue and functionally fob. The 30F is better at containing me evenly ... in this respect. That said, the cup height difference is actually pretty minimal. With so little difference I don’t think it made a huge difference in sizing down.

The band on this one is definitely tighter than the 32F which is to be expected from a band size down. I can do it up but it’s a bit more challenging. If I was using this bra for running or jumping and other high impact sports, I would say that the 30 band of this one (with this level of wear) is perfect but, I am doing none of those things. I’m wearing it for Pilates which is a lot more gentle and flowy with the majority of my lessons on my back and I think it’s going to be too tight for me this way.

There is a small snag in one cup which I was aware of when I bought it (it was already discounted) although I accidentally added a small slit with the scissors as I was opening the package. The slit is pretty small but it is in the mesh portion so I hope it won’t get bigger with wear.

Ultimately I think a 32E would fit me better but I’m not sure if it’s the right sports bra for me. I like the rounded and separated profile vs the uniboob look but I am not a fan of the cup height. That said, as long as it is under a top, it probably won’t be a problem. The 32F looks freaking amazing underneath my thermal zip top and my snug shirts even though it is a little bit of overkill for a bra for my needs. I have not tried the 30F underneath a top yet, so I might keep it and find an extender or I might just relist it and keep the 32F which I have grown fonder of since I got it.

    • It's funny because from the sides, it looks like a perfect fit, but from the front, I can see that it's a bit tall on you. I just acquired one of these too, so hopefully I can compare it tomorrow. I haven't even tried it on, as I have a million things going on right now and haven't had time. Thanks for all your reviews of different sizes/fits.

    • 1

Yeah, and I don’t think another cup size down will fix the the tallness either. A 32E is probably the best fit but honestly, between the two, I like my 32F better, I think. Even though it is taller. It’s not that much taller.

    • 1

Try Chantelle's sports bra. It's structured almost exactly like panache, but the cups are shorter AND the j-hook is adjustable.

Just be careful that you're getting your correct size (Chantelle uses EU sizing).

    • Yeah I have tried the Chantelle. Maybe I should pop over to the shop here that carries them to compare.

    • What a lovely colour I think the one cup up is better.did you try 30 FF??

    • maraki no, as the 30 is too tight. I prefer my 32F to this even though the cup is a bit big and tall. I’d rather try a 32E than a 30FF.

    • So stay in 32F it’s better in fit I say 30 band because it’s fits different

    • Yeah 32 is better for me than 30 for my needs. If I was running or going to be doing higher impact activity, I could probably do a 30. For Pilates and being on my back a lot, I need a little bit looser for comfort. The 32 is still supportive and more comfortable.

This review is for the Cosmic print colorway, ordered from Figleaves (I'm in the US but ordered from the UK site which saved me a good 10 bucks!). Like the black colorway in the same size and model, this one fits my narrow FOB projected breasts well with minor gapping at the top that is totally not an issue for me at all. It wicks sweat, is bounce-free, supportive, yada yada, but let's be honest, I got it for the space print, which is straight. up. GORGEOUS! The print is a pink, coral, red, navy, and white galaxy print (with shades of cranberry and purple) with navy trim ... and hot pink rings, sliders, J-hook, and piping. It was really hard to tell online if the trim was navy or black, and while the navy is super cute, I almost wish it had been black as it would match more of my workout bottoms. Minor complaint. That said, I think it would pair well with either a navy short or a plain black workout legging. I bet it would look fabulous with a dark purple or gray workout short as well. I can't stop staring at the fabric and it made me feel great wearing it. Space boobs...what's not to love??

Thanks, it definitely is!! The colorway is so new, I couldn't find reviews of it anywhere, so I thought I'd share my own!

    • That is beautiful, I might just have to get one...

  3. Non Wired Sports Bra (7341)

Success! I am shocked that the 30F in this bra actually fits me, but it does. After losing weight, I have been sizing down to 30FF or 28G from most of my 30G bras. However, this bra in 30FF was still too big (see 30FF - Panache Sport » Non Wired Sports Bra (7341) for a full review).

In fact, the 30FF fit much like my 30G that I also have in this bra in an older colorway. So there is a chance that the floral/gray colorway runs a little big in the cup compared with the black/geo which, in my opinion, runs true to size. ... The standard advice with Panache's *wired* sports bra is to size down in the cup. Previously, I would not have suggested this for the non-wired. Now I would say do not rule this out if you are less full on top.

When I took the bra out of the box, I was certain it would be too small. I was surprised by, visually, how scaled down the 30F is compared to the 30FF and 30G. The measurements reflect this, saving 1/4 inch on the cup height and gore height measurements. For someone petite, high-set and short-rooted, this 1/4" makes all the difference in the fit of the bra for me. I no longer have a gaping chest panel or bunching material. The straps are also comfortable tightened pretty much all the way. I would still like a tad more length, but it's sufficient, unlike the 30FF where the straps were a little loose.

The band feels even better (more snug) than the 30FF. I am contained in the cups and the gore separates well. There is at least 1/2 inch reduction in cup width compared with the 30FF. The side/underarm area does not reach into my armpits and I am super excited about that. Once again, the Panache Non-Wired Sport in an accurate size for me has pretty much become my best fitting bra.

Appearance: I am pleased with the colorway/pattern even though I realize now that the straps will probably be on show a lot and they are a little bit "loud". I would have preferred solid blue straps. The east/west pointiness is also reduced by being in a better size, but it's still there for me. I wish it were just a little more rounded. It's still a fantastic appearance under clothes for a sports bra.

Quality: My only lingering issue with this bra is that the inside of the cups easily creases towards the bottom after wearing, even just for a minute or two. This is not a projection issue. As I have tried and worn this bra in a few sizes now, I think it is to do with the construction and how the foam cup is anchored to the wireless band.

Final notes: this bra arrived with the center of one cup a tiny bit dented right at the middle. It wasn't packed harshly and I don't know if it will loosen with time, but it's not noticeable when wearing, anyway. The wrinkles/buckling on the seams that you can see in the photos only appear when the bra is not being worn.

Pro-tip: Short rooted and/or pendulous and those with flared ribs, do not forget to hike this bra up into your IMF before S&S to make sure it's sitting right.

I absolutely love this sports bra! It fits me perfectly in my usual Panache size of 30F, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. I wear it on the loosest hook for light to moderate exercise, but I'll reel it into the middle or tightest for more serious bounce reduction. It's incredibly comfortable, and it reduces bounce to an unnoticeable minimum.

This is the first underwired sports bra that I've ever tried, and I was impressed by their clever design. There is a layer of foam protecting the chest from any underwire related discomfort. The wires end approximately ... half way up the center panel; the foam cups provide the shape the rest of the way up. As a result of the construction, the uppermost central part of the cup is rather square-ish. My breasts don't fill this section, and in this small area the support is less, but I suspect that it makes the sizing more forgiving than other bras.

The racerback option on the straps doesn't really work for me, though it would likely work for someone shorter. I'm 5'7", and I can just fasten the racerback clip if I lengthen the straps to their maximum. However, the X winds up high on my back, and the foam straps dig uncomfortably into the muscles at the base of my neck.

Extra measurements (since these weren't options on the chart):
    Cup width: 14cm
    Cup depth: 21.5

I was so excited to hear that Panache was coming out with a sport bra so I bought it as soon as I could. Unfortunately, this size didn't quite work for me so it will be returned and maybe exchanged.

The bra is underwired and has a moulded cup as well. In terms of sizing, the people at www.lessbounce.com recommended going with your regular Panache bra size which is what I did and would also recommend to try first. The band fits similarly to my other Panache 30 bands. The cup ... width is also fine for me, it's just the volume at the tops of the cups that were a problem. There's a clip on the back for a racer back option if that's what you want as well.

Only the white and black are available now. The grey colourway should be available late October and purple will be available in November.

Edit: I added more measurements to the chart since those options are available now. Please note the wire length has been estimated since I don't have this bra anymore, and I'm unable to leave the field blank.

    • I noticed there is only a .4" difference in cup depth between this size and the 30E. Shouldn't it be an entire inch? Also what country cup conversion are you using? (F/DDD or DDDD?) I wanted to order this in a 28, but there are very few of these on here to compare to my size (the bradar is very inaccurate for me).

    • I'm not sure how much of a difference there should be, but those are the measurements I got. I don't own this bra, but when I tried them on, there wasn't a huge different in fit, mostly the height of the cups and the width of the wires. The bra is UK sizing so I'm not sure if that's DDD or DDDD (to many D's for my liking...) since international size charts are giving me different equivalents. If you're interested, maybe contact http://www.breakoutbras.com/. They're based in the US and they have this bra in stock so I think they may be better in helping you find the size you need.

Just received this bra and used it for the first time for low-intensity cardio and an abs circuit training session. Wicks sweat really well, the padded straps are SUPER comfortable, and is somehow flattering even though it's cut so high. It feels super secure, though I haven't yet tested it during more high-impact activity. Measurements note: cup width was measured end of wire to end of wire, though the underwire ends several inches below the top edge of the gore; strap width measured at widest point. I'm FOB with squishy tissue and feel this has a little extra room at the apex, but not enough to feel any ... jostling when I'm moving around. The cup width is so good, though, that I'd be hesitant to go down a cup size, especially in a band this tight. I guess I could try sizing up to a 32E, but I really needed something ASAP, so I'm keeping this one for now - may order another to try in the future. Loving the lack of uniboob and the super comfy padding around the wire. I would feel really comfortable wearing this on its own going out for a run, though I've worn sports bras on their own before like that that had even less coverage. As an added plus (for me), the black molded foam cups are covered with a thin, seamed black athletic fabric that I feel conceals nipple protrusion nicely.

This is a pretty good sports bra, probably the best I can find in my size, super comfy, and I love the pink colour. The band of this bra and the straps have stretched a lot though. This bra was tight in the band and the straps when I bought it but is not anymore. I have only had this bra for about 1 and a bit months but have worn it a lot - I have 2 the same and wear them most days. I am wearing the bra on the tightest hooks now, I have ordered some with band size 28 instead. If I jump in ... this bra (which I do), my boobs hurt a bit from the bounce - I'm hoping the smaller band size will be more supportive on me, but this one is great for walking and low impact stuff like pilates.

Its a nice looking bra, looks good on and gives a really good shape under tops (round and not pointy), and I've been washing it in one of those bra bags with the hard plastic in both ends in the machine with no problems. One thing is that the eyes for the hooks pull out a bit - but that is easily fixed with a few stitches.

I have found this bra is also good in really hot weather - it seems to breathe and be a lot cooler than a regular moulded t-shirt bra.

I like this bra, and it seems to fit. I also ordered a purple/coral in 30FF, and that one holds me more firmly. You know why? The elastic under the cups is actually wider on the 30FF. The 30F is close to .5, and the 30FF is .75!! Be aware that the straps don't adjust THAT long. There is a J-hook, but heck if I know how to get that thing hooked behind my back.

    This was my exercise plan:
    (1) Shop for an excellent sports bra that would use encapsulation rather than compression to support the boobs, for a flattering look
    (2) Wait until bra comes in a color I like
    (3) Buy bra in my chosen color and most common UK size
    (4) Exercise wearing pretty sports bra that makes my workout clothes look good while sweating

This plan worked great until step 4. Don't judge.

As many reviewers have mentioned, the center gore is high in the wired Panache Sports Bra. The cups go even higher. Surprisingly, I can't feel the underwires because they are plushly cushioned. I know they must be resting on breast tissue; ... any gore higher than 1.75" can't help it. When I press on the gore, however, I feel no discomfort. The top of the cups don't gape. If you're looking down my bra, you can see the boob separation, which means the wires are separating them. The cups themselves, however, lie on top of my breasts to give a crop top look. Worn as a top or peeking out from under a warmup jacket, the purple Panache Sports Bra is very becoming. I know this because I've tried it on multiple times. I always congratulate myself on having found a well-fitting, flattering, and supportive sports bra.

Fits like the panache wired sports bra. Gives great support while working out. I liked that I could add both of the colors of this style to my workout wardrobe for $40 on eBay. They are much more affordable than the sports bra. The only thing I don't like is the shirt does tend to ride up. Hopefully some weight loss will help.

This is my best fitting bra right now. The band is slightly loose on me, but not overly so. Just enough that I'll need to wear it on the middle hook to start, which is ok by me. I've never had an encapsulation sports bra, and I pretty much love it. No awkward bounce and extreme cleavage like compression bras give. It's perfect for runs.
I don't fill out the top of the cups perfectly, but the 30E was definitely too small, so much that it was slightly uncomfortable. I'm okay with this since it means I can use it when my breasts are swollen too. Maybe a more FOT shape would fit this bra better.
The wires are slightly too wide as well, but not so much that they're uncomfortable.

This is a great sports bra! The underwire does not poke and the band stays in place. The only issue I have with fit is that the wires are a bit too wide but I have narrow roots so that's a common problem for me. This doesn't really affect the support or comfort of the bra. I love the wider straps and really love the encapsulation style of separating and supporting as opposed to the the typical squish-into-a-uniboob sports bra. I love the way that my breasts look in this bra. I would definitely recommend this bra to someone similar to me.

I bought the Red/Charcoal Panache Sport Bra in 30F after trying the same bra in 30E. Some reviewers suggest sizing down in the cups and/or sizing up in the band. If your breasts out of a bra are very round and even to full on top, I suggest starting with your usual size. When I tried the 30E, I had lots of tissue escaping under the arms.

The padding in this bra is sensible and makes it comfortable. The underwire channels are padded, the straps are padded, and the fabric the eyes are sewn into is padded. The cups are moulded and are probably thick enough to hide evidence ... of nipples. If you've tried the Chantelle Hausmann T-Shirt Bra, however, you will notice the Hausmann is much plusher. For a sports bra, however, the Panache is adequately plush.

The color is a true red, and the charcoal accents coordinate well with the red. I admit I wanted this colorway in particular and was prepared not to replace my outgrown sports bras if I couldn't get it.

The shape the Panache Sport Bra is famously rounded from the side and front. This holds true for me.

    Note on measurements:
As always, I took measurements based on where the wires actually were, not where the wire channels start or end. The exception is the gore, which is the entire fabric and wire vertical measurement together. I believe this is more relevant than just how high the wires go. If I were to omit the fabric at the top center, the gore measurement would be about 3.5."
I measured strap width at the back, where they attach to the band. These straps are only minimally adjustable. The great majority of strap length is the justifiably famous, padded strap material that varies greatly in width, from where it attaches to the cup to the point it attaches to the part that is adjustable.

I was originally wearing the 32FF but then had lost 20 lbs and needed a replacement. After searching measurements, I opted for this 30F I found at a sale. It fits me perfectly. So comfortable and nothing moves. The top of the right breast is slightly empty, but the left fills perfectly so I'd rather that than squish the left too hard. I got the raspberry colour one and it's so pretty. I'm pretty confident this is the only brand of sports bra I'll ever buy again
