Lookwise the bra is lovely, though the black lace along the bottom of the band can a bit itchy if it rolls under. Other than that it is quite comfortable - it seems to be a great bra for someone with shallow breasts and a narrow/medium root though, so on me the fit isn't too good (narrow root and lots of projection)

Actually this bra should be returned because of the snail speed delivery, but today I just received it without any expectation. So then I am going to introduce it below.

It's a 30G, usually I don't wear this size (I ordered a 30FF but the awful saler just made a mistake). Although it doesn't fit, it looks not bad on me.

The cups are wide and shallow, just like the Change bras I have. It's still wearable because I don't have clear root lines on the side. The main problem is the cup height, I can feel the empty space when I scoop and swoop. The push-up effect is excellent, ... despite the wrong size (or maybe also the wrong shape), I can still get a slight cleavage during some body movements.

    Here are some additional measurements:

Cup depth at apex: 22.8 cm (smaller than the standard cup depth: 24.6 cm)
Cup separation at bottom: 5.6 cm

And Summary: Very nice bra if it fits properly, suitable for shallow FoB or even shapes with wide and tall roots. Although it is relativ separated at bottom, it is not a good choice for splayed boobs because of the very low center gore.

    • Yes the cups do look a bit wide. I wonder if it would be better in the 30FF as you initially ordered.

    • Calluna

I just made a calculation for the average measurements of 30F and 30G, and guess the cup depth of 30FF will be about 23.3 cm. Maybe it's a little bit shallow because for a good fit I usually need a cup depth for around 24 cm.

    • Interesting. You might be right.

I think that this bra is a major shape mismatch. I have worn bras with similar cup width and depth and been mostly okay in them, but this one was a massive flop.

I had lots of quadboob. The cups were too shallow and too wide-set, and the curve of the wires was too extreme. I need a gentler, shallower curve to the wire, a more projected cup, and a much narrower gore, the cups need to touch if possible.

I would prefer a wider strap, as well, these were a bit too narrow/unpadded for my taste, but that is more of a preference than a requirement.

The uncoated metal hooks & eyes were lovely! I like the look, and I think it'd stay nice looking much longer than painted hooks.

Listing it riiiiight away. I really wish it had worked :/ it's GORGEOUS.

SO CLOSE! I feel like this bra would fit me nearly perfectly if I were just a bit fuller on top. There is some gapping at the top of the cups, nearly imperceptible on my larger breast unless I bow my shoulders in. It's not an issue that can be solved by stuffing socks under my breasts (yes, that may become a thing), nor will any really fit in there, at least, not without it being incredibly obvious that I'm stowing a sock in my bra. The band feels snugger than the Beau I tried earlier today, and while I could fasten it on the tightest set of hooks, it was less comfortable that way. I can't say it's the most comfortable bra I've ever worn, but I'm willing to give it a day trial.

I'm a bit sad about having to give up this bra. It's my first and only white one, and it's quite comfortable, what with the satin and all. However, I've got to be honest with myself. Plunges never really work well for me, probably due to my full on bottom breasts and soft breast tissue.

For this bra in particular, I also found that the cup placement seems better suited for someone with further apart breasts mine. The cups seem to be shallow and rather wide, but the area they cover is towards my armpits, not the middle, where my breast tissue is escaping the cup.

The band definitely runs at least a size big. I'm usually on the lower end of a 32 of or high end of a 30, and I'm fastening this band on the tightest hooks already. The cup may also run small, but I don't feel like I can gauge that accurately for a style like this one.

This bra is beautiful. I keep wanting to call it "Jasmin" instead of "Maia" because it is the exact shade turquoise that princess Jasmin wears in Aladdin. That, and the filigree lace pattern with its hints of yellow embellishment remind me of the patterned walls in her courtyard. So, obviously, it is awesome for that reason, but also because even without those references I love the style and details. It's a nice balconette cup with a line that pretty much runs straight across, and doesn't give a distracting amount of cleavage.

One thing to point out: The band on this bra has virtually no ... stretch. It fits me, but there's not a whole lot of give beyond that. If it had more stretch it would probably be more comfortable, but as is it's not a huge issue.

And another thing: when I first received this bra, I had some issues with the fit. Like nearly all my bras, the straps were set too wide, to the point where they essential started in my armpits. HOWEVER, this time I took it upon myself to shift the straps about 1 inch each towards the front, and made it work! The way that the straps meet the cups on this bra meant that it wouldn't be too hard to detach them and it wouldn't look too strange having been relocated. You can sort of see on the cups the point where the straps used to attach, but that's basically in my armpit and not super noticeable. This modification made the bra totally wearable! Now I can enjoy its looks AND its fit.

I wish I could find this bra in a 28H, but it only goes up to a G cup. I thought my 32G was too big in the cup... and the band was definitely too big, so I tried a 30G. The cup is too small and I was wearing it on the tightest hook right after I took it out of the box. It's a gorgeous bra though... so I plan to alter my 32G and my 30G, to see if a better band would sort out the cup problems.

  8. Persia Non Padded Balconnet Bra (6581)

The Persia bra has a stretch satin covered band and center gore. I have it in the colour Damson which is a burgandy, dark maroon colour.

The band is stretchy but somewhat restrictive. I usually wear a size 28 band in Cleo and Freya but in Masquerade's satin bands I find that, although easy to fasten in a 28, they can feel a bit uncomfortable when I breath deeply.

The 28GG was a great fit in the cup (and leans towards large rather than small) but I found that the sister size 30G was a better back size for me.

The Persia style is a balcony bra with quite a square neckline and it sits quite high up in the center gore and has quite a bit of coverage at the top of the bra - in between a full cup bra and a balcony bra. I adore this shape on and it's very flattering I think.

Realized this bra should have been worn on the final/middle hook from the beginning. Gets occasionally worn but would like to keep it around until I find another Masquerade replacement so stays at back of the drawer.

This lightly padded plunge bra drew me in with its violet & green on black floral design. I enjoy the silver hardware and the lightly padded design continuing halfway up the strap even though it means it is only halfway adjustable.

Band fits TTS. Cups give slight quad-boob and center gore does not sit flat. If I were able to take just 1-cup larger I believe it would fit perfectly. Since the gore pulls away from the body I think the cups were made just a bit too small. This makes me so sad! This bra is really worthwhile in person and I wish it were an adequate fit. I would settle for slight doubleboob if only... The top layer of pieced material covering the pieced padded cups kind of wrinkles just a bit giving a strange silhouette at some angles.

Overall really good style and quality bra if it weren't made too small in the cups.

Will be returned but still wanted to measure for the Bratabase, late-February '11.

Good plunge bra, it seems super comfortable. This bea made me realize that while I might fit into an EM 65G perfectly, I DO NOT fit into a normal 30G.

This bra exudes class and sophistication. If only my boobs were taller.

I really wanted to love this bra (isn't it so elegant?!) but it just doesn't fit me. Correction, it fits(ish) if I put in an extender, take a deep breath, stick my chest out and pull my shoulders back. In normal mode, it does not fit: gaping at top (on the outside, my center heavy boobs fill it fine), a hair too shallow at bottom (wrinkling), cups stretched too wide for my boobs when used without an extender (ok width when used with extender). If I stick some cutlets in, it works, and makes my boobs ... look glorious (marie antoinette cleavage and a round profile).

If you are actually a 30G (instead of the 30F/FF that I am), this bra should fit you much better. The lace comes up just over the top of the bra to rest delicately on your boobs, and the little tassels at the gore are a classy touch. The wires are firm but not aggressive, and the band is a typical tight Panache band. The profile is rounded, with your typical half-cup tendencies (a little wide, a little shallow).

Update: With my shrinking boobs, the fit just gets worse. Instead of the lace delicately touching my boobs, the top of the cup just sticks out there, not touching anything while my boobs are puddled in the cup, trying their darnedest to stick out and create some cleavage. I don't mind the tight band so much any more, nor the wider wires. All I want is for my boobs to be big enough to fit in this bra. Even throwing some cutlets in there doesn't help anymore... *sigh*

You wre supposed to fit! You were supposed to fit, God darn you!

I wanted to have this bra for I don't even remember how long. I bought this in a thrift store, and I thought I was lucky as hell. Well, I wasn't. the band is perfect, but the cups are at least two sizes too big https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Pros: the design makes me drool. I mean what is there not to like?! Pearls, lace, embroidery, turquoise... pure love!
Cons: I feel like this bra runs big in the cups, since I was supposed to fit into a 30FF, but after trying this 30G looks like it would be still too big.

    • Remember, bras all size a little differently. You could easily still "be" a 30FF, and this particular brand just runs big!

Not quite working for me. It's not as awful as some strapless bras I've tried, but unfortunately it's still quite wide and shallow. The band is too stretchy. The wires reach around to the back of my underarms. I'm constantly tugging the thing up all day. It squeaks when I move around. I only wear it when I absolutely HAVE to for a certain shirt or dress. I've gotten a lot less picky about my bra straps hanging out.

I adore this bra; however, the fit is a challenge. It fit well enough in the store for me to fall in love with it and buy it (expensively, I might add). The fabric is luxurious and satiny and this one one of the first bras I bought which was NOT poking into my armpit. However due to the shape/firmness of my boobs I quadboob in this bra when I move around. However I have found that I can take a small bit of double-sided tape and use that to more permanently "tuck" my boobs into the cups for day wear, which works more than well enough for me to enjoy wearing this bra.

    Hi,

This bra fits exactly like a 30G. He's in really good state. The little price is explained by the fact that I made the error to wash it with another bra, and so the colour of the bra turned from white to cream, but he's still very beautiful!
For measurements, please contact me in private message because as I'm french, i maybe made mistakes.

Might be a little too tight in the band, causing the wires to be pulled back and causing them to become slightly too wide. Smallest bit of quadding. Gore is a little annoying due to height + width. I can't really get it to sit straight on me in a way that I like.
