Me:FoT, narrow and tall root, average projection, splayed.

I bought this knowing it's a cup size larger than my usual but I was hoping it might fit. Sadly it is a cup size large. I love almost everything else about this bra though. When I pinch to make the cup smaller I can see that it would give a nice rounded shape and be plenty open on top for my upper fullness. My only concern would be that the fabric detailing might show through shirts.

    Hasn't set fit

This bra is gorgeous. The lace that covers the cup is pretty, the satin band and straps look nice and the mineral blue color is stunning. The band and the straps are a little thin, but feel secure.

Too bad it doesn't fit. Like the previous reviewer of this size, I find that the wire ends up far back in my armpit, the gore is too wide and I spill over. It could just be that the cup is too small or the wrong shape for me personally, but I wonder if it's not a case of bad scaling, seeing as it's both wide and wide set. I hope not! This bra is so pretty and worthy of any special occasion.

This bra has a pretty tight band initially, but it stretched quite nicely to my underbust in a matter of weeks. There's no way I could fasten it on anything but the loosest band setting, so this bra could also fit a 28H person. Also note that as this is a 30G, the cups run at least one cup size large. I'm really more of a 30GG or 30H. To find your sizing in this bra, try going up a band size if you're not a tight-band wearer, and going down one to two cup sizes.

Other than the initial discomfort of the band, this bra is easily one ... of the most comfy bras I own. I've worn it to 8 hour shifts at work and not needed out immediately upon arriving home. I'm really more of an unpadded or lightly-lined type, so it's rare that I find a molded cup to be so livable.

This bra is also a great match for my full-on-bottom breasts. I find it to be a wonderful alternative to the Deco, which didn't work well for me. Anyone whose breasts don't take well to plunges but miss the cleavage of a Deco-ish bra (or any cleavage at all--it gets particularly hard to find in well-fitting larger cups) would do well to try this one. I was pining for a bra like this through a lot of my teenage years.

I found the faux-lace detailing and overall look of the bra appeared better to me online than it did in-person, which rarely happens. I'm really picky about lace patterning, and this particular one didn't jive with me. The bra's color is more of a pearlescent-metallic "nude" than the deeper metallic color than I was expecting. It's a really cool effect, but on me it's not a nude bra at all.

Very disappointed in this bra. I so wanted this to work. There was not much lift, the cup forced everything flat against my chest and the seams wrinkled up in the strangest way. The quality is good, and it is a very pretty bra, just not for my shape.

The only issue I have with this bra is that I occasionally start to fall out of it when I lean forward. When I'm standing, my breasts sit perfectly in the cups. It's only when I bend over to pick something up that any issues arise.

I love the design of the straps. They're thicker in the front, but also uses the same material as the cups of the bra. I don't really worry about my straps showing because they're so pretty! The straps stay put. The width and shape of the front of the straps offer better support, too, so there's that.

Like a lot of my moulded cup bras, I find that the bottom of the cups fold over on me. I think this is an issue of cup depth/projection, as though I not only fill the bottom of the cup, but spill over the wire. It is no issue, as far as comfort goes, just in appearance as the folds/creases are definitely noticeable when I wear a tight shirt.

    My score: 4/5

The Masquerade Capella is a very nice looking bra but for me the fit is quite odd.
The band is comfortable in fabric and fit. I usually have an under bust measurement of around 70-72cm and this was a good fit for me, although I must note that I do not like to wear tight bands.
The straps are fairly comfortable due to the satin-like fabric but they are quite thin and not as supportive as I need them to be - an issue exacerbated by them being too wide set for my frame.
The wires are too wide for my liking and they poke at their outer edges. I don't ... think that the wires are necessarily too long but rather that they end in an uncomfortable place on my ribcage which is probably in part due to their width.
The centre gore is too high and too separate which causes the wires to sit on breast tissue. The wires also dig in at the sternum but this is a problem I experience in almost all bras including my best fitting, Ewa Michalak bras.
The cups are too tall, too wide, too separate and too shallow on the bottom for me. The middle of the cup has a surprising amount of depth and the top is quite open. I didn't experience "gaping" as such but because the cups were too tall, the top of the cup was not optimally filled out. Downsizing in the cup would most likely not work due to the shallowness at the base at the cup so unfortunately this bra is just incompatible with me. I think it would work for someone who is full on top and around the middle & not particularly high set (at least not in the larger cup sizes).
Masquerade make bras that match my taste very well but the more Masquerade bras I try, the more I am disappointed. Now that I have some well-fitting bras, thanks to Ewa Michalak, I am able to more easily identify fit problems with other brands. I constantly find that cups are too tall, too shallow and often too wide, so I am losing confidence in many brands, including Masquerade https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

  7. Rhea (6121)

The Rhea is a beautiful bra with a luxurious feel to it! The fabric is silky and soft, it's lined with brocade and with a rhinestone and a bow on the gore.

The gore and underwire is high. The straps were too far apart (for me) but the fabric was easy to work with during alteration and because of the brocade you can't tell it's been tampered with. The band is a bit on the tight side.

The brocade is quite thick, on top of already padded cups, so it shows through thin shirts. But other than that it's a comfy bra that will keep all your tissue in place!

Lovely bra, but too small in the cups for me. This is definitely a small G, so consider sizing up in this style.

Band is fairly firm, but I think this would benefit from having 3 hooks instead of 2.

The lace at the bottom doesn't sit flat, especially on my flared stomach. This can be a little itchy sometimes.

Love the colour, just need to lose a bit more weight to fit into it!

    First thoughts:

Too shallow; keeps sliding down as the day wears on, too small cups, band slightly too big (wish Masquerade had more hooks), straps slide down and constantly loosen themselves, shape definitely not compatible.

Very pretty, love the colors. Will keep it as a house and errand bra because I do have to adjust myself several times a day while wearing it.

This is a very elegant bra and is perfect under v-necks. It is also quite comfortable though I have to wear it with an extender. The band is very tight and fits like a 28. The cup is true to size but as usual I tend to spill out of plunges so this bra is great for someone with firm breasts. If you are full on top I think this bra would give amazing cleavage though you might want to size up in the cup.

The first bra I've owned where the wires have been exactly the right width. Panache is too wide, Cleo is a little better. Freya is generally okay, but this bra is perfect. The band is insanely firm, there's zero stretch. For the first two weeks or so I was wearing it with an extender, but now I'm on the first set of hooks where it's become reasonably comfortable. There's no way the gore could be any narrower; the wires are literally touching which is great for my close set boobs. I could maybe go up a cup size - there's some minor quadding when I breath in but not really enough to bother with. The shape it gives is very upfront, round and lifted which is what I want from my bras, so I'm happy.

The black Rhea is a very elegant and feminine bra. It's simply gorgeous. The band runs tight and the cups shallow, albeit wide. I need narrower wires. I'm not sure if that's because my breasts are narrow (I haven't figured that out yet), or if it's because I am short (5'2" ) and thus wires are generally too wide on me. So it goes without saying that the Panache Rhea, which has wider wires than say an unpadded Freya, is DEFINITELY too wide on me.

I'd heard that this bra ran small in the band and cup, so I sized up from my normal 28G to a 30G. Although I was able to fasten the band, it felt as though I was going to start hearing tiny ripping noises if I took a really deep breath. Now, normally, when I measure "stretched band length" I'm not sure if I stretched the band enough, even though I aim for "any more and it won't be good for the elastic." When I measured this bra there was a definite hard limit, like hitting a wall, to the stretchiness. At 28" it suddenly felt like I ... was holding a completely non-elastic fabric, like plain ribbon. It wasn't stretching any further, period. Beyond that point it would rip, not stretch. No wonder, when wearing the bra, I felt like the band wasn't moving with me (expanding and contracting when I breathed and moved). Given that, I don't know that I would have kept this (admittedly beautiful) bra even if it had been a perfect fit in the cups. But I didn't have to make that decision because the cups were decidedly too large, though not by a full cup size (they were maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cup too large for me). I think if I had gone with my usual sister size, 30FF, I might have had a small amount of quadboob, but not nearly enough to justify going up a cup size.

As far as appearances are concerned, this is a really nice bra. I particularly like the cut-out in the gore and how tall it (the gore) is. In the correct size, I think this would have looked beautiful both on its own and under clothing. Also, the satin straps were quite nice looking. Comfort-wise, I'm not such a fan, only because of the non-stretchy band.

Very nice, warm colour. 30 bands are usually a little bit too big for me, but this is quite snug, so might work. Love the straps which are halfway satin and get wider at the shoulder, which prevents digging in (and also looks great).
The wires are o.k., also the shape the bra creates, but the G cup is a little bit too big - some gaping at the top which causes very visible bralines under a t-shirt. Because of the gaping, the lace on the top of the cup also doesn't lie smoothly on the breast which looks weird.
I think the 30FF or even better the 28GG might fit perfectly, unfortunately they're not available. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the 30G or not - I just like the colour and the style so much...

This bra is stunning. It has a very muted animal print with lace on the center of the cups and a decal on the very top of the center gore. I've tried it on under sweaters and I think it gives just the right amount of cleavage to remain appropriate, but is still definitely a special occasion piece.

My main gripe with it is that it comes up a little big in the band for me. I had read that Masquerade styles actually typically run tight, so I am quite surprised by this. It is wearable, but I would do better with a 28GG or ... 28H, which this style unfortunately does not come in.

It is comfortable, and I have not worn it except to try it on under various tops, but I feel as though I could wear it on a night out and be very happy with it. You do kind of feel like you're going to fall out of the top, but I bent over, shook all around, jumped and when I looked back in the mirror, my boobs were in the same place they had started.

    • Actually, it does! I had to return both 28's I reviewed because they were far too tight for me. They are available on Breakout Bras right now, you should consider ordering!
