Sadly this bra did not fit. I've been on the lookout for this bra ever since I discovered Masquerade, so when I found it after a year of searching I was excited to add more vertical two-part balconies to my collection. I have two Masquerade Delphi's (which are similar in cup style) in this size and they fit perfectly so it appears that Arquette runs smaller in both the cups and band size. The band is super tight and feels more like a 30. The material of the cups and band are very soft and comfortable though. The blue lace on the cups has a tendency to pill ...and I received this bra with the lace already fuzzed too. I've only washed it once but the blue didn't run onto the beige fabric. The straps are half-adjustable and give the cups a very stable and secure feeling with their non stretch front. Since I purchased it from an outlet I'm not sure if this was defective but one of the cups has a weird point on the center seam that is visible under clothes. I also cant even wear this as is because this bra has a very defined apex and I look misshapen with my "cakes on a plate quadboob" and then the pointy cups farther down, if that even makes sense. This bra would have been perfect in a 32GG and I'm bummed my go-to size was such a bad fit. This is such a hard to find discontinued bra too.
This is yet another cute bra with an evil gore for me. The band was also SUPER tight when I first got it. It's okay now but I still don't wear it much. The cup is a bit too closed on top and they have so much shape I'm not sure I'm filling out the cups. Also, because the cup has only a single vertical seam, they look pointy instead of round. In addition, the straps are so wide set that they fall of my shoulders constantly. This is a really awful fit for me it turns out.
This bra exudes class and sophistication. If only my boobs were taller.
I really wanted to love this bra (isn't it so elegant?!) but it just doesn't fit me. Correction, it fits(ish) if I put in an extender, take a deep breath, stick my chest out and pull my shoulders back. In normal mode, it does not fit: gaping at top (on the outside, my center heavy boobs fill it fine), a hair too shallow at bottom (wrinkling), cups stretched too wide for my boobs when used without an extender (ok width when used with extender). If I stick some cutlets in, it works, and makes my boobs ...look glorious (marie antoinette cleavage and a round profile).
If you are actually a 30G (instead of the 30F/FF that I am), this bra should fit you much better. The lace comes up just over the top of the bra to rest delicately on your boobs, and the little tassels at the gore are a classy touch. The wires are firm but not aggressive, and the band is a typical tight Panache band. The profile is rounded, with your typical half-cup tendencies (a little wide, a little shallow).
Update: With my shrinking boobs, the fit just gets worse. Instead of the lace delicately touching my boobs, the top of the cup just sticks out there, not touching anything while my boobs are puddled in the cup, trying their darnedest to stick out and create some cleavage. I don't mind the tight band so much any more, nor the wider wires. All I want is for my boobs to be big enough to fit in this bra. Even throwing some cutlets in there doesn't help anymore... *sigh* Read more 176 more words
One of the most beautiful bras I've ever come across. I love the navy and cream colourway and the lace is gorgeous. At the moment, this bra is too big. I am currently around a 30HH, but when I wore this bra, I was about a 32HH.
Good support. Great shape, very rounded. Open cups so good for lower necklines and FOT breasts. The material is fantastic quality. I love the straps. They are slightly padded but they are not super wide which often bras in larger cup sizes have, and the material feels lovely against the skin. I never wore this bra, although I really wanted ...to have an occasion as it is just to gorgeous. I tried it on multiple times when deciding which bra to wear for a day, and while it would look great, once I put on a top, I felt like it made my boobs look a bit too out there. I love a nice rounded shape, because my breasts are quite FOT, high and close-set, but this bra just makes them a bit too in-your-face for me.
The only cons with this bra are minor and really my own preferences. Because of the lower neckline and balconette cut/width of the wires, I don't feel like my breasts are very strapped down and kept close to my chest. Rather, this bra is a bit cake-on-a-plate cleavagey which has its place, but it is not super practical. There are also only two rows of hooks to fasten the bra, and I think it would be better if there were three.
The Arquette seems to have been designed with a FOT shape in mind, while I am even, so it is not a completely perfect fit for me, but it’s still good enough that I kept it and have been wearing it without issues. The only slight shape mismatches are, firstly, the fact that apex of the bra is lower than the apex of my breasts, leaving the tiniest amount of empty space below the nipple. Also, there is a slight indentation (and when I say slight, I mean it is not visible, but I can feel it when I run my fingers over the bottom of the cups) ...which runs from the lowest point of each cup diagonally up and outward for an inch or so. I suspect this is due to lack of bottom projection. As I said, it still works well enough for me, but probably wouldn’t for those who need lots of projection near the underwires.
I wear some Masquerade models such as the Delphi, Persia and Rosetti in 28E, while this one fits in 28F, so I would say it runs slightly smaller and/or shallower than those (it’s not a shallow bra, however, otherwise it wouldn’t fit me in any size). It seems to be evenly balanced between center and outer fullness. The wires are exactly the same width as every other Masquerade bra I have tried in 28F. The band is firm like most Masquerade bands, but not quite as tight as the Persia, Orla or Delphi.
I love the aesthetics of this bra, both the unusual navy and white color combination, and the eyecatching geometric embroidery. Very happy that it fits me! Read more 168 more words
I love this bra. It's soft and comfortable. It hasn't stabbed me yet. It looks exotic and beautiful. There is a slight space at the top of the cup on one side, but it's so small it doesn't even wrinkle. I'm wearing it with an extender to ensure the gore and wires are narrow enough, but that's a simple issue that's easily fixed.
As a side note, I think it's worth it to wear bra extenders for the following reasons. - you can often get sizes that aren't as popular and more often on sale - after the bra stretches enough, you can remove the extenders and use *those* hooks ...to extend the life of your bra - if you're like me and you have issues with bra wires and gores being too wide and cups not being deep enough, getting a bra that's smaller in the band and larger in the cup, with extenders, can fix this issue. However, I'm still new to bra sizing, so if there are any downsides to extenders or issues that I've overlooked, feel free to comment/message me for discussion. Read more 74 more words
This bra fits me very well. The cups are a good shape for me so I will look for more bras with a 3 part vertical construction. I have narrow breasts and I would say the cups are only 1-2cm too wide for me, which isn't a problem. It would be ideal if the straps were fully adjustable because I would prefer them just a little tighter.
I really want to like this bra. the navy blue lace is so pretty! It's quite comfortable. And the band runs small! Love that so much. I'm not sure if it's an issue of how the bra was shipped to me or just the way I'm filling them out, but the cups seem to have quite the point on them, especially the left cup (my smaller side), which gives a weird look under shirts.
