This bra looks so pretty in pictures, but in person... well I just find it unattractive. First off, the cups are way too big so there is fabric everywhere. But I think even if the cups fit ok, they provide so much breast coverage that it's just not sexy or pretty. I think this bra might look nice on smaller breast but it is definitely not designed for us larger breasted gals. Anyway, I'm going to be returning it for both size issue (cups too big and band a little small) and becasue I just don't like the look.

  2. Arabella Balcony Bra (5731)

This bra definitely runs big in the band. I am a solid 34 and I had to take a 32 in this bra. The only other bra I ever had to take in a 32 was the Freya Nieve which is also has a notoriously large band. I would normally be a 34H so I went with the 32HH and it fits beautitully. This is a beautiful and comfortable bra. I do not mind the extra lining in the GG+ sizes, in fact I prefer it. The bra does not go into my armpit which is a common problem I have with bras. I got the Purple ... Haze color at a local boutique and I love it. It's a hard color to get a hold of. I tried the Lyla and heard it was based off the arabella which is why I tried this bra. I am full on top and there may be slight cutting in at times but not enough to be noticeable or uncomfortable. Although I can't speak to its longevity yet this bra is very supportive. I may get more if it stands up to a weeks worth of wear. It's definitely worth a go especially if you can scoop one up in one of the rare discontinued colors.

The cups are a little small for me, but it was on sale and I wanted to try it. At first I thought that the cups ran a little big, then I thought maybe they were just on the wide side, but oddly, they actually fit much better now and ideally I'd go up a cup size. The gore is nice and low and very sturdy. The band is very stretchy, and in fact it stretches pretty noticeably after a few hours of wear, but the wires are very hard, and as the band stretches, the wires start to rotate and push on my ribs. But this happens ... with looser bands, too, so I don't think going up in the band would solve this issue. (Starting to think there's a rib flare issue.) Still, I'm pretty pleasantly surprised with this bra, considering I bought it on a whim for $20.

At first I thought that the fabric seemed a little low-quality, but it actually feels very comfortable, supportive, and soft when worn, and the flower print and color scheme has grown on me. (You can see it through a thin shirt, though.) The straps are a little overdecorated, but not uncomfortable. They do stretch quite a bit, though. The decorative edge on the band isn't as sharp as the Fancies line, so it's more comfortable.

Overall, it's a very sturdy, comfortable bra, with surprising coverage and reasonable depth. It's serviceable as an everyday bra, but with the amount of lift I got and the really rounded shape (and cleavage) it gives, it would be nice for a special occasion, too. (It does squish my boobs somewhat and give me that side boob crease, but I've just accepted that all bras are going to do that unless I eventually try a Polish bra.) It's not a perfect shape match for me, but if I get the chance and it's the same price or less, I'll try it in a 32J.

The only thing I would caution is that while I thought I my breasts were fully in the cup and the wire was sitting in my IMF, and I was comfortable at first, after a few hours my ribs and breasts hurt, so I finally moved it down and realized that I think it had been sitting on breast tissue. I don't know if I situated it wrong or it migrated. It was more comfortable then, but obviously it fit differently and sat much lower, so while the gore was actually very nice that low, the bottoms of the cups wrinkled slightly because there wasn't enough projection at the wire for me, so my breasts couldn't sit as deeply in the cups. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely it wouldn't be my first choice for a full coverage bra with very projected breasts.

Quick review -- I FINALLY have a molded bra that fits! As a 32J/JJ, there aren't many (ANY) options for smooth molded bras in my size, until now! Several people mentioned that the Freya Idol runs quite large in the cups, so I took a chance and bought one. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! The cups are definitely roomy enough to where I don't have any quad boob at all, despite it technically being a smaller cup size than what I normally wear (so yes, it does run 1-2 cups big!) Of course, it doesn't fit as perfectly as a Polish bra, but it's close enough ... that I feel comfortable wearing it when I want a smooth look. Yeah, yeah, everyone knows I'm wearing a bra and seams showing aren't really that big of a deal, but I REALLY like having a smooth bra for those couple of really thin (ahem, cheap) t-shirts in my closet. I can handle the cups being a tad bit too wide and the gore not tacking if I only wear it once a week or so. The cups are a bit more east/west than what I'm used to (because Polish bras put everything up front), but I actually like that I have a different shape option. I notice that if my boobs are slightly a bit more out to the sides, then it helps contrast my waist better from the front. If my boobs are out front (as with Polish bras) then my silhouette from the front has my boobs in line with my waist. It's nice to have both options just to be able to create different looks.

I've only worn it a couple of times so far, but I'm impressed that the bottom of the cups hasn't collapsed by the weight of my boobs yet. There's slight buckling at the bottom and sides where it's too shallow/wide, but it's really very slight. It's not nearly as bad as the too-small Elomi Bijou Banded Moulded Bra (8720) or Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) that I tried to squeeze myself into!

This bra did not fit me correctly. It was slightly too small in the cup (although i think the next size up might be slightly too big) and the band was too big. however, the material is comfortable and does not scratch. It gives a nice shape and seems to correct asymmetry well

It’s great but not my size, and the shop I got it from is closed so I can’t take it back. I put the comfort as “excellent” because the band and straps are perfect, the cups are just not quite right for my shape and size.

This bra is the closest to a perfect fit that I've found in years. Gore tacks and isn't too high, straps can be shortened enough (I'm 5'2"), armpits are poke-free!
My only problem with it is that the material on the skin side of the cups is scratchy. It is unlined lace and although very pretty to look at, would benefit from a stretchy, smooth lining against the skin. Also, not great under lighter t-shirts, as the seams and pattern can be seen.

This is an odd bra. It is an okay size, but the shape is a bit odd so I'm not sure about the size. I usually use 34 band, but in this the 32 is just perfect. The loosest hook is snug and firm, but comfortable. I find this bra really projected, so that's the shape. The lace part could have a little of strech. I would say that the cup is definitely large enough (if not even too large), but the shape might not be right for me. I am either FoT or evenly full, but I'm not sure if I have tissue more on the inner ... side or outer side.

This is not as supportive as I wished, but that might be caused by the cup being a tad too big for me. However it's quite comfortable, so it's a bra for calm day when I don't need that much support. I kinda would like to see if one cup size smaller would be better. The oddness of the shape is not too visible with clothes on.

I like the comfy straps and three hooks in the back. I will have to keep wearing it to form a better opinion.

I really like the look of this bra. The shape would be nice too if I didn't spill out of it. It feels way firm right when it goes on but then it softens out. Leaves my armpits alone but cuts into some I guess migrated tissue that never went home? Probably a size issue.

This bra is too small so I can't say much about the fit. The lace at the top is firm and not stretchy but it appears to be forgiving enough that I can get away with wearing it. Freya wires are definitely on the flexible side.

  14. Rosie Soft Cup Bra (1211)

    Didn't fit

I've wanted a soft cup for a while, mainly to laze around the house in, maybe the occasional nap. I ended up going for the Rosie, and I love it. Ideally, I'd have the 30HH, maybe even a 30H, but those sizes had sold out on Figleaves and they had the 32HH on sale for £12 and it was more than double that everywhere else, even ebay. Since it's just a sleep bra, I figured it didn't matter if it was a little big.

    Appearance:
A lot of soft cups look a bit too plain and maternity for my liking, but this colour really stood ... out to me. I love the magenta with black lace. The shape is much better than I thought it would be. Since it's wireless, I thought it might be a little droopy, but the shape the Rosie gives is quite nice and natural. Although slightly pointy, it is like an uplifted teardrop shape.

    Fit:
The band is a bit big as I thought it would be, but because it's a sleep bra, I don't mind it being loose. Since there are 3 rows of hooks it feels a bit more supportive even if it's not firm. There is quite a bit of room in the cup itself, both on the side and at the top. Even though the cup is too wide, it doesn't pull my breasts to the side at all. Despite the too big band and cup, I'm actually amazed at the shape this bra gives. It is super comfortable and I'd happily wear it to the supermarket or hanging out at a friend's house.

  15. Rosie Nursing Bra (1212)

    Didn't fit

Ordered this bra in a 32 HH UK and I measure at a 34 GG UK.

Initial impressions: I was very surprised at the cheap feeling quality of the straps and some numerous loose strings scattered around the bra. I purchased this Rosie on sale but would never pay full price having seen one in person. The cups are lined with a strange slick fabric. It's. Not unpleasant. Just weird and again there is a cheapness about it. The band is too small (no surprise there) so I used an extender to fasten it. The cups fit beautifully-no small feat for nursing breasts. I'm not a fan of the nursing access opening-it smushes my tissue into the underwire. The clips work well, however. There's even a cute ribbon detail.

Overall, I am somewhat disappointed with this bra. It's okay but not a holy grail bra or worth the $70 price tag in my opinion, I wanted it the moment I saw the stock photo so perhaps my expectations were too high.

    Didn't fit

I have been on the hunt for neutral bras from UK brands that my boobs don't hate, and in spite of some minor issues, that keeps leading me back to Freya.

The Lauren looked similar to my Hopscotch, so in spite of things I've read about it being shallow, I decided to chance it. I can only assume these reviews come from people confusing the balcony and half cup. It's a pretty typical Freya fit. The cup is a little shorter at the strap, the band a bit firmer, and the wires seem slightly narrower than bras like the hopscotch and sister cuts(all plusses for me), but ... overall, if you fit those bras, there is no reason Lauren won't also work for you.

The cup detailing is sort of unique, with subtle striping on the bottom of the cup, and a double layer of solid fabric on top. It's the first bra I've owned where the top of the cup is more opaque than the bottom.

I will need to remove the side boning, but this is typical for me.

This is a pretty, comfortable everyday bra. The cups' pink fabric is opaque, which I like very much because I'm not the see-through lingerie kind of girl. The rest of the bra is black, which I like too because it makes the bra versatile and discreet under tops.

I love the large straps that stay put on my narrow shoulders. They're set a little less far apart than my usual Cleo bras (this is the first Freya bra I'm trying out).

The cups are filled out correctly and I have no quad boob effect, this is the right size for me.
I love the rows of 3 hooks ! It makes this bra feel very supportive. Also there's a little side support on the band wings.

Unfortunately, the center gore is sitting away from my sternum and the band is too large even on the tightest hooks so I'm sending this back...
I will buy it in 30J when I find it in sale because I like this bra !

This bra did not fit me at all. The band was too lose, the cups too small and the shape was more pointed than I prefer. The lace was a little scratchy. The lace across the top of the cup was very tight and accentuated the quad boob effect, if the lace was more stretchy then this bra may have fit. However as it stands I can not wear it.

  20. Jolie Balcony (4102)

This was a great bra that gave a really nice, lifted, front-and-center shape, if just a little pointy. It does seem to run a bit big in the cups and in the band (as with all Freyas I've tried), as the 32HH fit well when I was usually wearing a 34HH in Panache. However, the band itself is firmer than most other Freya bands, once you allow for the size difference.

It's also one of the few full-coverage type bras without a stretch-lace upper cup that fits my projected, full-on-top breasts well. The gore is just a little wide for my close-set breasts, but not as much as you find in most non-Cleo Panache bras.

Unfortunately, my breasts seem to have gotten a little bigger recently, as the top of the cups now cut in a bit during certain weeks of the month, despite the fact that this fit well when I was about 7-8lbs heavier.
