I probably would fit better in a 32 G in this particular cut, but I'm definitely straddling the line. The cups seem to run a bit on the large side by maybe a half size, and because I'm either a "large FF" or a "smallish G" in general, I went with the smaller cup. The bra is still comfortable and a pretty good fit (good support, no quadra-boob, can wiggle/jump/shimmy without having to readjust myself), and I'll get some good wear out of it.
The bra itself is lovely, aesthetics wise. Very classy and beautiful with an almost Victorian feel. There is a very pretty ivory lace accent over every seam on the cup which looks nice, but be warned: it DOES show through tighter/thinner clothing.
All in all, it isn't my holy grail bra, nor is it the most practical for every day. Still, it's going to see some serious wear from me.
Definitely too big for me (sadly). I bought this when I was spilling out of my other Fauve 36F's and now I think I might simply not be made for Fauves wide/shallow cups (contrary to what I believed for a very long time).
The band is okay, a bit loose, but that's probably because the cups are too big, too.
Straps are nice and wide with "ripples" that keep the sliders from moving, although the edges dig in under my arms.
As with the poking wires and chafing underarm cup edge, I'll attribute the negative features (for me) to the improper sizing.
The band is HUGE. It doesn't appear to be worn out, but just big. Don't know if the line is prone to that or if it's a mismarked bra. I wear a 34 in Freya, a 32 or 34 in Curvy Kate if that helps. I took in 1.5" from each side by the corset lacing, and it now fits properly and doesn't pull up.
Otherwise, everything is spot on perfect. Cups are great, underwire is super comfortable. Despite all but dripping in lace, it's not itchy in the least. It's super attractive, DH strongly approves. I get a ...nicely rounded shape, good uplift, but everything is well covered and I'm not falling out. Half cups are my friends.
I don't have an opinion on the 2 vs 3 hook yet. It's 2 hooks, I prefer 3 or more. But it's comfortable with 2, it feels more solid than my Freya Deco or Erin, maybe not quite as good as my Curvy Kates. I can jump around, headbang and do my general fool act and not fall out.
It feels extremely well made, all the inside seams lay flat and comfortably, nothing feels sloppy or loose. The lace overlay is well attached, the decorations are attached well.
This is the same bra from all 3 reviews, which I'm easily amused by. My guess is I'd need a 30H/J range, so I'd be sized out also. Read more 139 more words
Very attractive bra. In "frost" colour the bra is a delicate minty green with subtle, soft (in colour and to the touch) lace overlay in grey. The straps are wide and comfortable.
Unfortunately the shape does not work for me. The centre gore won't lie anywhere near flat. My breasts are falling out towards the middle (though not as badly as in some plunge bras I've tried, perhaps because the relatively high, non-tacking centre gore sort of catches them). The cup doesn't go high enough at the sides. I also had to immediately tighten the straps as much as possible.
This bra is a little too big in the cups for me. I usually wear a 30E in Fauve padded half cups, but I quadboob ever so slightly out of that size, so I tried the 30F, but it doesn't quite fit. It is a great cut for shallow breasts and has wires on the wider side. The straps are fully adjustable and have a decorative gathered-ribbon sort of treatment that is also very grippy and keeps the strap adjusters from slipping. Like other Fauve bras that I have tried, the band is quite loose for a 30. There are lots of beautiful details, like the extra decoration around the closure in the back and the multicolored bow in the front.
The band feels exceptionally tight but is also too big. I can still fit a whole hand between the band and my back. Even on the loosest settings though, this bra makes my back and shoulders ache. This bra just does not fit me.
The cups in this bra have empty space along the top edges, and the gore doesn't lay flat against my chest. It's not uncomfortable to me, but I'm still new to wearing bras that fit, so anything is better than what I was wearing.
This bra is so beautiful that I couldn't resist buying it, even though it is a 32DD and I usually wear a 30E. The lace is gorgeous but thin enough that it doesn't show under most shirts. The straps have a little bit of lace also, but they are still fully adjustable, and the elastic is soft.
The fit is extremely similar to the Freya @Deco plunge, I think the molded cup may even be identical except for the lace overlay. Like the Deco, the band runs a little large and the cups gap at the top if I don't sit up straight with my shoulders back. Also like the Deco, the wires are somewhat narrow, and tissue sometimes escapes out the sides. It doesn't fit perfectly, but it is good enough and pretty enough to keep, and a Rixie clip helps.
This bra is stunning (I have it in aubergine). Unfortunately I'm a 28f (26'' underbust), and Fauve does not make 28's.
The band either runs true to size, or a little too loose. Regardless- it's too large for me on the smallest hook, so I'll have to pull in the band. Other than that- the wires are right, and the bra is really comfortable.
The cups seem to run a little big. The 30dd fits when I'm about a standard 28f. In the pictures I took I was a full 28f (filling out my deco), so I was getting a little bit of quadboob at the top.
Fitwise: Band - A true 30 band, which means, it's big on me since I need a 28.
Cup - The half cup is my favourite type, but it's shallow near the centre gore, thus the gore is about 3-4mm away from my sternum. If I push it to tack, I quadboob near the centre gore.
Wire - I'm confused by this one. The width is 5.6" - 5.7", which means it usually a good width on me. However when I put it on, I feel there's a little empty space on the sides. Also! I feel they are thick (that's what she said!). It hurts when it got pressed on my sides.
Comfort - Aside from the confusing wire, comfort is an A. It's really really comfortable.
Received from the most wonderful fellow member katje. Alas, it doesn't fit. The Fuave half-cups are larger in the band and smaller in the cup than other styles as well as in comparison to other Eveden brands like Panache, Cleo, Fantasie, etc. This one's fit is consistent with the Aurelia half-cup I have in 36F. I had hoped that sizing down in the band and up in the cup would work, but no. Assuming it's marked correctly, I would need a 32HH/30J, which means I'm sized out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Having said that, I should confess that I insist on a much tighter ...than most women like because I'm fluffy and I simply can't tolerate movement of my bands. The quality, however, is Fauve all the way - 1st class materials and detailing. Straps are fully adjustable and set fairly wide (typical balconette). Wings are somewhat lower in the half-cup styles than in their full-coverage ones - which is preferable to me since I'm short. Cups are 3-part vertical-seamed construction with lace detailing. Bow & sparkly dangle at gore, bows at cup/strap junction, lace applique along top of cups over the mesh overlay on a base of bordeaux satin. Ribbon corset detailing over more lace on the wings. It's no wonder these things are so expensive. It is very pretty (better in person than in pictures). Read more 123 more words
I altered the band down to a 28E. The cups are too separate for my boobs, but with a few stitches I connected the wire tunnels, now it fits lovely! Great cleavage, but still very natural shape https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I've just recently starting wearing 30 band size bras (previously wore 34C), so I am still experimenting with my size.
The band and straps are very firm and not very stretchy, I like this. I can't quite fill the top of the cup, but it's very minor and since the bra is unpadded, you can barely tell. The placement of the straps work very well for me.
The bra has these little bow details stitched into it on one of the straps, and in back where the hooks are.
