Fauve makes the most beautiful luxury-class bras, with sophisticated design and upscale fabrics. As an older woman, I can only do so much fun/funky colorways and prefer a more subdued yet elegantly sexy look, which Fauve delivers. I am really annoyed that they closed just as I was discovering ABTF, and in reaction I went a little silly buying up all the Fauves I could find in anything remotely my size, including this Annalise. What a beauty! Nostalgic purple and ivory floral with richly detailed cream piping along the top of the half cup and up the vertical seams. Soft on the inside, soft lined wires and band, ... the lovely floral up part of the straps - just a dreamy bra all around. The lightly-padded half cups do magic 'soft hills' cleavage while being somehow demure. The wires are fairly wide but not tall or pokey; the gore is not as tall as other half cups and does not poke either. For reference I am close set, even, projected. I think this style would work on any shape because it gathers and holds so well; even FOT would work because of the open top. I love this bra and luckily found it in a better-fitting size, which I think I will be wearing for a long, long time!

A very pretty bra, the printed fabric is overlain with white mesh throughout. The lace trims on the seams and edges of the cup are somewhat thick and show through shirts. All the elastic has a decorative trim on the edges that also helps prevent the strap adjusters from slipping. The front part of the straps is covered with the printed fabric but they are still fully adjustable with a little effort.

This bra is quite shallow at the bottom of the cups, but has some volume at the top. I am shallow but tending towards full on bottom, so it didn't work for me.

I think it would work best for a shallow but fuller on top shape. Typical of Fauve, the wires are fairly wide and also quite firm. I think the cup runs a little large, and the band is on the looser side for a 30.

This was my first Fauve and my first half-cup, and it started my obsession with both. I now realize it never really fit me well, but it still makes me sigh just to look at it..

Being of the Summer/Patsy family, it's quite shallow at the wire and moderately wide/shallow throughout. Wires are stiffer than some other Fauves. Band is very, very stretchy. The decoration shows through just about everything. It makes a better boudoir bra, except in winter.

So beautiful! I will be sad to see it go.

I was thrilled to come across an Annalise in my size recently... Fauve was discontinued just as I was discovering correct bra fitting, and I will forever lament not getting to try the brand earlier, because their designs were so incredibly elegant and lovely. I have to say, the quality of construction and attention to detail in this bra is exceptional and really lives up to Fauve's reputation. The base is a grey-lavender floral overlaid with the most delicate layer of transparent mesh, topped with ivory ribbons and lace lining the vertical seams. A teardrop pearl charm adorns the center gore, and little picot trim lines the entirety ... of the band and straps, which is a detail I especially appreciate, because many bra manufacturers create bras with pretty decorated fronts but sadly leave the backs entirely plain. Annalise is an absolutely gorgeous half cup with a very feminine, almost Victorian "shabby-chic" look to it, and I find the find the color scheme flattering against my pale winter skin!

The fit is quite excellent... in particular I'm surprised by the amount of depth in this bra, which I haven't found to be the case in other British half cups such as Freya's. The gore tacks, the band is true to size, and the very open top leaves plenty of room to accommodate upper and inner fullness. The shape is spectacular, round and uplifted but slightly minimized, very "purple," while the neckline creates phenomenal soft hills cleavage appropriate for everyday. The inner lining is very soft and comfortable. The wings of the bra are relatively low and non irritating, with a matching strip of lace behind the underwire also. The wires are noticeably a bit wider than my IMF, however they don't create a large empty pocket, compromise support or bother me at all.

I LOVE this bra. Off to scour Ebay to look for other Fauve half cups in suitable sister sizes... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This is a gorgeous bra. It is a little bit tight on me because it's a dd and I am bigger than that but I will wear it for fun to dress up.

This bra is really pretty, but the band is way stretchier than I thought it would be, the cups are too big (should have known better), and the seams are really raised. I can't imagine being able to wear this under anything without show-through. The wires were nice and wide though-- I think a 30F or 28FF (if they made them) would have fit.

It may not look like such a trainwreck from the photos, but there is significant wrinkling at the sides of the cups. I think this maybe for someone with fuller breasts all around than I have.

The wires feel quite stiff, and I can imagine that if I wore it for a few hours that it could become uncomfortable.

The bra itself is really beautiful and elegant looking. It has a relatively open cup that is good for shallow breasts.

I find this a great fit although after a whole day's wear I get a little irritation under my right arm, mostly due to the coarseness of the lace I think. Otherwise a really great bra.

  9. First of all the bra is absolutely beautyfull with it's vintage flower print with mesh overlay. It fits perfect in my usual size of 32G giving nice round shape thanks to its vertical seems. The gore isn't high and lies flat. The wires are bit on the wide side. I'd like the band to be more snug - it does'n ride up but I'll probably switch to the second hook. I don't readjust during the day and absolutely love the fit and the shape it gives me. The vertical seems are visible under the tops but I haven't wash the bra yet, may be they'll be softer and flatten a little then.
The Annalise is one of my fave bras along with the Cleo Rihanna

I probably would fit better in a 32 G in this particular cut, but I'm definitely straddling the line. The cups seem to run a bit on the large side by maybe a half size, and because I'm either a "large FF" or a "smallish G" in general, I went with the smaller cup. The bra is still comfortable and a pretty good fit (good support, no quadra-boob, can wiggle/jump/shimmy without having to readjust myself), and I'll get some good wear out of it.

The bra itself is lovely, aesthetics wise. Very classy and beautiful with an almost Victorian feel. There is a very pretty ivory lace accent over every seam on the cup which looks nice, but be warned: it DOES show through tighter/thinner clothing.

All in all, it isn't my holy grail bra, nor is it the most practical for every day. Still, it's going to see some serious wear from me.
