Like all my @Fauve bras, this one is incredibly comfortable and very pretty. The strap fits snugly without being constricting and the band and cup both run true to size.
The embellishments (small bows at the strap and gore, satin fold-over at the top of the cup) don't show through shirts but add a beautiful, subtle effect. The wires on this bra fit my very shallow breasts perfectly and are nicely padded to keep from pressing and rubbing against the ribcage.
This bra gives great separation and lift while keeping that nice soft rounded shape I love. Also, the top and sides of the cups are low enough that it doesn't show under the low cut spaghetti-strap tanks I wear to work, which is a big plus!
This bra is the first one I've bought that fits properly. I like that the wings and wires are nice and high, which prevents escaping side boob. It is also a shallower shape, without being too shallow. The half cup is very flattering. I feel like a I get a pretty natural looking, slightly round shape with a lot of lift from this bra.
The only downsides I can see here are that the embroidery makes it a little visible under thin tshirts, and the fabric on the wings is a bit of a stiff mesh, which I like, but others might find a bit itchy.
This bra fits me perfectly. The band is quite snug (I wear it on the middle hook), the cups are open and create a nice, smooth, rounded shape. In the pictures you can see a bit of wrinkling on the smaller breast, but it's because it's smaller (duh) and also I made these pictures just after receiving the bra and the foam creased a little bit during the postage process. The design is absolutely stunning, details are amazing.
This bra is seriously stunning, but I accidentally ordered the balcony instead of the padded halfcup, and it's WAY too deep and narrow for me. Which shouldn't be a shock, since Fauve unpadded bras are known for being narrow!
Seriously wish I could fit into it though, it's just gorgeous.
So, I was hoping I could make a 38G work - although I'm actually 36GG/H- because that's as high as the padded 1/2 cups go. And I really love the style & Fauve is so stunning.
I have a Freya Monet in the same size & I manage to get aeay with it on the tightest hook. although i get alot of cakes on a plate cleavage, the center gore still tacks fairly well. Unfortunately, not on the Fauve. Although the cups are actuall a little bigger than the Monet, the gore was really standing away from my body & the fit was more awkward. Perhaps due to the stiffer fabric & stretchier wires. The bra itself is really beautiful.
First of all, this is a lovely bra that is both beautiful and well-constructed. I love the color and the opulent feel of the bra! It is a bit small in the cups, although there is no quadboobing - so I think a 32FF would be slightly big on me. The band is comfortable and true to size, I think. The shape is amazing - just the way I like it, round (especially in profile) and subtly sexy.
By the way, for some reason, my breasts look wonky in the front view photo, like their shape is bending the centre gore... This is in no way noticeable in real life.
Pros: A nice molded bra with cups that enclose the breast but don't sit above the line of your top. I really love that it has a little bit of lace but there aren't any ribbons, textures or seams that show through your shirt and draw attention to your chest. The bra does take a little bit of time to break in - it is a super-molded shape but after a few wears/washes it's absolutely perfect. Nice shape and FANTASTIC lift, quite rounded and young and perky instead of matronly like a lot of 30GGs can be. Thickish but not too-thick straps Pretty, effective, molded bra for a 30GG!!
Cons: The straps were a little wide ...and elasticized for my taste but that's pretty much unavoidable in this size bra. Lots of people probably love this strap width, it doesn't dig in or put pressure on your shoulders. Straps also a bit long - I had to tighten them quite a bit to get them to the correct length, the bra is designed with a lot of leeway in the straps. As the bra wears I feel as though the elasticized straps will probably become too long (possibly able to be altered?) Some of the keyhole detail looked a little bit strained the first few times I wore it fresh off the rack. Plunge style is sometimes not suited to my breasts unless the fit is 100$ perfect PRICE was a huge turn-off.
Overall, a great molded bra in a size where molded bras are often terrible. I'm pleased with my purchase. Read more 141 more words
I have a soft, shallow shape that makes it difficult to fit many bras. I previously tried this in a 30F and it was close but lacked room in the cup. The 30FF fits perfectly. It gives a very 'forward' shape, not east-west at all. The detailing is gorgeous and it fits very comfortably and is obviously well made. The sides of the cup are high enough to enclose me but don't cut into my armpits. I have no gaping on the cups and no quadboobing either.
Because of the lace and seaming it is NOT a t-shirt bra but would work well under more structured fabrics.
This bra is beautiful, and very well made, however, if you have narrow shoulders this bra is not going to work. The straps are set very far apart. The bra looks good from the front with my arms back, but as soon as my arms come forward to cups gap terribly. I think this at least a cup size too big, but I'm not sure that a smaller cup will fix the issue. I have bottom heavy, soft breasts and it seems that this bra would work better for someone with firmer, more balanced breasts. The cups are also VERY wide at the top
A few other notes: The band on this does not have as much stretch as say, a Curvy Kate, so it's a lot more true to band size. I think it would also benefit from having 3 rows of hooks instead of just 2. I was terribly uncomfortable for me, but I think was more due to a terrible fit than due to the bra itself.

I get either extra room at the point of the cup, or some bizarro-land orange-in-a-glass thing - it's really like someone tried to put oranges in a ziplock bag with a weird mountain range crest line... anyway, it doesn't fit me.
The comfort (fit issues aside) is great, the fabric is high quality and the lace feels sturdy. The detailing is impeccable and beautiful and luxurious. The band fits without any weirdness to the stretch - doesn't create bulges or have tight 'edges'. I expected to fit a 30F in this bra but did not - am rebuying in 30FF. It looks and feels expensive - lovely detailing, high quality fabrics, very pretty design. Very comfortable, just not enough cup space for me.
The band is too big, there is gaping on the cups. The wires are really wide, so I think this bra could sit someone with shallow breasts and wide root. Straps are incredibly itchy. But the bra... Oh, it's so beautiful! Unfortunately, it doesn't fit.
Cons: it's new and I need the straps adjusted as tight as possible, so if the straps stretch I won't be able to tighten them enough. The upper, thinner part of the cups is a bit wrinkly, but there's also some bulging along the seam.
It wasn't cheap, so as it's not perfect for me I will send it back.
Oh, how I wish this bra had fit! I thought I could size down to a 30E but I cannot. If you are a true 30E it should fit well. The "30" definitely seems true to size and the fit is firm but not painful. The inside is finished impeccably and the whole bra looks and feels very expensive. The detailing is pretty and sophisticated; the cups are very smooth and supportive, just not big enough for me!
This is a beautiful bra. I feel the cup is slightly large (but maybe it's because I tend to fit a 28F better). The band is a good fit and has only stretched a little bit after a few washes. The straps had to be adjusted, but I have this issue a lot as I am petite.
If it came in a 28f, I think the fit would be perfect.
This is a beautiful bra! The band is a bit too big for me but Fauve doesn't go any lower than 30. There is a bit of wrinkling on the low sides of the cups on me for some reason. I absolutely love the half cup, since the side fabric on many bras cuts up too high for me. The straps are snug and won't slide around. I can't comment too much on comfort yet, as I recently purchased it and haven't worn it for a full day yet.
This is a beautiful bra that has served me well for years. I'm not even sure when I got it, but it was a long time ago. I've loved it the whole time- the embroidery is really pretty and the colors are light enough that it doesn't show under most shirts, though if the fabric is thin it will look lumpy because of the raised stitching.
Over time the band has stretched but the cups have remained pretty much the same, and the straps still have plenty of room for adjustment. I'd say it fits now more like a 34F than a 32FF. The fabric isn't terribly soft (except ...for the lining on the bottom panel of the cups and the back of the band, which is nice) but it's comfortable and doesn't scratch or poke anywhere.
I washed it with some garments in other colors and as a result the color of the bra has become kind of dingy, though there are no spots or anything that I can see. Some of the lace and embroidery has been a little roughed up but has held up surprisingly well. The white enamel on the hooks in back has partially worn off. Read more 91 more words
I ordered this in red in 30DDD/F from Asos, but they shipped me a 30DD/E. The underwire doesn't go far enough on the sides to capture all my side tissue. There is a little bulging above the sides of the bra, but, more importantly, the underwire sits on breast tissue.
The straps are only partially adjustable. The front of the straps is 7" long and has red applique. I shortened the back of the straps as short as they would go, down to 4.3125" (4 - 5/16"). If I could shorten the straps more, I might be able to get rid of the gaping at the top of the ...cups. The bra would still not be fully encasing my breasts, though. The cups are much more rigid than those of my Fantasie Rebecca. Now I understand why spacer foam is so much better for getting a good fit than traditional molded bras.
This is a beautiful bra, with a bright red base and embroidered mesh overlay with pink and white embroidery accents. I will try to capture the harmonious and outrageously gorgeous colors in my photos.
I have a blue Fauve Emmanuelle padded half cup in 30F. That bra fits perfectly. I doubt the Evangeline Moulded Plunge would fit well in a 30F. My only question about Fauve now is whether their balcony bras would work on me.
Edited to add on Feb 3, 2013: I measured the wire width and other features using the inner edge of the underwire. I recently learned this may be more correct than measuring the outer edge, which I'd been doing with previous bras I submitted. I love this bra, it's super comfortable and very pretty. It has good support, might be a bit better for me if the cups were just the tiniest smidgen narrower, but it's not an issue and doesn't affect the fit. The straps are comfy and the quality is great.
