    Hasn't set fit

I'll have to update after i've worn it - it came in right before the holiday rush and I tried it on like a week ago and havent put it on since!

I do remember that the band is too big, already on . . . 2nd or 3rd hook? The first SF I got, 75 was the right band size, but it no longer is.

The cups fit well, I was happy about that.

Hubby commented that he really liked the color of this bra - and thats unusual for him to comment. It is a darker shade of wine/purple. really nice! Looking forward to wearing it!

oops, looks like i have to post from here even tho i didnt put the pics in yet - should be up pretty soon.

    • Georgeous!! I LOVE the color! You might have to take the band in; or maybe a Rixie clip?

    • 1

I like this color, too. Giggle. So glad your husband approves :-) :-)

    • 1

Well, so far my 75 bands fit on 3rd/4th hook, but are . . ok. Not sure rixie clip works for such a wide band? I've never seen one in person. and i'm no seamstres, tho I suppose I could pay someone to take in a few of them

    • 1

I was worried these newer sf with the lace overlay on the band's would not be as firm as the basic sf with the two sturdy layers which was for me the very firm band was a bonus ... now I know not to size up in this bra ..
What I find interesting is that the cup depth of this 75jj sf is smaller than your 75j sf by .5 " and with the 1" longer stretched band of your 75j st that is a significant size difference to me .
Makes it hard to want to order directly from Ewa michalak if you don't know what your getting .

Does it feel as super supportive ?

It is a lovely color in a bra though .

    • I'm so sorry the band is too big :( :(

    • I looked for 4 hook Rixie clips, and couldn't find any, although I did see 3 hook Rixie clips. 😥

    • I havent worn it yet - its hanging on the shower rod drying, now. It did seem less big than I thoguht, but it could be measuring differences? its not easy . . .

    • It's definitely not easy that is for sure

    • 1

I didnt have a tape measure, but I held the two against each other this morning and the cups look pretty much the same shape except the new one is maybe a half inch taller? Really, it does look too small on my bigger side, but I was starting to fall otu of the other one - and i always fall out over the top, so . . taller works

    Didn't fit

The Magique is here! The bra I've been coveting for months since it was first teased! And .. . uh . . might not be my favorite. Isnt that always the way it works?

First off, the band is too big. Significantly bigger than the 4 other Ewa Michalak 75s I own. BUT . . . someone asked a few months ago, when we were examining pictures, if the gore is adjustable - because the gore is laces instead of cloth. Someone said no . . . but they were WRONG!!

the first time I put the bra on, I was crestfallen at how ... loose it was on the second-to-last set of hooks. But i took it off and cinched up the gore and tied the excess in a slip knot. All the pictures are taken with the gore cinched up, but the measurements are taken after I took out the knot and redistributed the gore's lacings. It looks like only about a half inch difference in stretched length, but at least after that it fit firmly on the 3rd hook.

Plus I've always wondered how that would change the fit for me . . . well, actually, this bra is looking a tad too big? I have one pad on my smaller side and none on my bigger, but smaller side is still gapping a good deal. I do sometimes wear 2 pads on my smaller side, so thats not too big a deal. But I wonder if cinching the gore opened up the cups more - thats what other ppl said would happen if you sewed a gore like that. It changes the angle, making it more center-full friendly. But maybe too much this time?

Ok, the look of the bra - I totally fell in love with the look of the lace when I saw it on line. Too bad my camera didnt take very good pictures of it. It is lovely . . . but I have to admit, I dont love the shade of the backing. Its a fairly dark, mocha-ish tan. Not really a great color on my bluish pale skin.

Comfort? Not washed yet, not really worn yet. the lining fabric feels less soft than other Ss I have - could be because its not washed yet. But i wonder if its a cotton blend instead of cotton? I do think sometimes the linings shrink slightly when I wash them, but if its a blend, it might not.

So . . yeah, not as glowing a review as I expected lol! Anticipation seems to sometimes sour me! Honestly wondering if I really should send it back for a 70JJ instead.

    • I'm not sure if it was just a fluke, but I actually found my 70JJ to fit a bit small in the cup (but also big in the band like yours) so a 70JJ may be too small for you

    • 1

Try it on with some tight clothing and see if the cups gaping is evident, if not maybe you can wing it.

I wouldn't be surprised this is EM's manufacturing inconsistency.

I see you marked the bra as having alterations. If it is only the center gore you changed, maybe you could remove the mark, omit the measurement and indicate in the review. I say this because when a bra is marked as having alterations, its measurements don't get averaged, so the general entry has less data. In your case in particular I think the alterations do not really affect fit so this bra would be pretty much "standard" fit.

    • Thanks, JJ, I wasnt aware of that. I'll try to change it.

kermitdafrog21 did you try cinching up the gore like I did and see if it helps any?

    • No, I haven't tried that yet. I imagine it will help a bit, but I'm not sure it will help enough for it to be big enough in the cup (though I don't want to go through returning it to Poland, so it'll have to do lol). But when I put up pictures later tonight, I'll probably take them with the gore both ways for comparison

    • btw, I gained a bit more - this is now my only really comfy PMS bra. Still way too big in the band, tho - on the tightest hook, except first wear after washing. I still hope to sell it eventually.

Gorgeous, luxurious bra. Probably the prettiest I've ever seen. <3

The KanKan has narrow and shortish wires, which are great for me! Stabby underwires are my biggest bra woe. (My breasts are slightly omega shaped with lots of immediate projection, narrow roots, and very soft tissue. I lean towards FoB, but am even enough to get away with a Cleo Marcie.)

I purchased this bra because the SM Triumf in 75J was verging on quad-boob. Imagine my indignation when I tried on the SM Kankan in a 75JJ and *its cups fit exactly the same as the 75J Triumf*! The KanKan's 75 band is also much shorter and firmer than the Triumf's 75 band. (I don't know whether the KanKan runs small or the Triumf runs big, because these are my first two Ewa Michalak bras.)

It gives the famous Ewa Michalak "cakes on a plate" cleavage. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />

Sizing inconsistencies are super-annoying! I hope you find one that fits.

    • Thank you! I went ahead and did a fit request for it, wondering if perhaps I'm being too picky. http://bra.pe/T5Q/

    • 2

boxnut it never hurts to get fit advice, but I don't think you're being too picky. I definitely see quadding near the center.

First off, go down a band size in this bra, it runs VERY stretchy in the band. I have it fastened on the 3rd of 4 rows, but it probably should be on the tightest. On the second, it wouldnt stay in my IMF at all.

While this is technically a leopard print (despite being called panther) it is very subtle, which works for me as I am not a fan of animal prints. To me, this is just a textured navy bra. I bought it because I wanted to try a bigger S, and it was new and on sale (and i did ... not like the only other S in this batch).

So, the cups definitely fit better than my poor lovely Eden. One pad in my smaller side and none in my bigger side seems pretty good. The top view is, to my eyes, remarkably even - most of my top views you can clearly see how uneven my boobs are, so the pads do a good job.

I am not sure S is the best shape for me. On the one hand, the look under clothing is spectacular - high up and smooth. On the other hand, I just dont like the way it looks without a shirt as much. I feel like I have 'cup-of-boob' - my breasts are so soft, its like they are being held in a cup, and they almost flatten at the top, because I am so soft and there is no support on the top to shape them.

However, I suspect I will wear this a lot (until the band stretches out or I lose weight) because it does give such a solid look under clothing, and of course warm in the winter!

The lining of the bra is black cotton, the straps are nicely thick and stretchy, the pink flower is soft and made of ribbon. The band fabric feels smooth like my BM but slightly thicker, but the elastic along the bottom of the band is narrower than the BMs elastic

    • I'm glad it fits. Sad that it doesn't give the shape you like-- any idea if one of Ewa's other cuts is a padded version of the BM? It sounds like that was the real winner out of this order.

    • 1

I think BM was their newest cut, and was added specifically for women who wanted more full coverage. Most of their bras are designed more for cleavage.

I mean, the S does look amazing under clothing, so I am drawn to it when I want to feel extra-confident, I guess? Whereas BM is more the 'natural' look for me, as natural as I can stand anyways.

    • 2

S does this to me as well. It's like having a shelf of boob table on top.

    • 1

The band shrank in the wash - wearing on 2nd hook today!

    • 1

I understand not liking the shape a bra gives. This does look great on you though if you can get over not liking the shape.

    • 2

The band stretched back out lol. No, i have worn it twice and its fine. Its a more structured look than my preference, but otoh I dont have to worry about falling out of it or quadding, so its a good bra

This bra, like all other Ewa Michalak PL bras, is really awesome. This is one of the ones that comes with removable padding to correct asymmetry. It's probably the prettiest one I have!

They didn't have my real size (32K) so I went with a sister size just because I wanted it so badly. The fit is a tiny bit off, but overall still comfortable and supportive.

This bra is beautiful. It's soft and smooth. The stretch of the band isn't rough along the skin and the material isn't at all irritating or abrasive on sensitive skin. The delicate pattern is flattering and gives it a little flare. The bow on the center gore is always a nice little addition.

I've worn nothing but EM for years now, and have never strayed away from soft cup even thought I'm soft tissued. The bras are well crafted and easily keep the tissue in a nice rounded shape. I was attempting to find a better size for bras as I've recently gone up, and I simply underestimated the size of this one. It cuts into my tissue and I can't tell if the size of it is what makes the cups pull my breasts in opposite directions, or if it's the bra itself. I absolutely love it and if it fit, I would have loved to keep it and wear it at any point.

It fit! Woohoo. I had originally ordered this as a 75J, which was too small after scooping and swooping but upon initial placement looked fine. This fits perfectly after scooping and swooping. I'm so excited that it worked.

Just like my previous review, the bra is absolutely lovely. It is a bright red with a navy lace (almost looks black in some photos). The plunge style seems to be very nice for me. I'm glad to have a bra which actually can work with lower neckline blouses.

Wire width is on the narrow side. They fit me well, but are much more narrow than similar sized bras from @Panache or @Cleo. ... They feel very comfortable and don't feel too tall as to poke my armpits and the gore seems low but not so low that I feel like my breasts are going to fall out.

The band is supportive. I could probably go with a 70 band, but the 75 does the job (perhaps as I am losing weight I will order future Pl bras in a 70 band). The straps are very tough to adjust, though they feel secure.

The bra is very comfortable. I am super pleased it fits upon reordering it up a size as it is so pretty.

I ordered 75 JJ as everyone said to order a cup or two size up. The bra is extremely comfortable and holds everything in place. It also looks good with clothe se on.

With respect ti fitting, my breasts fill the cups nicely except when I hunch my shoulders forward there is a 3 to 5 mm gap in front. My breasts tend to be bottom heavy.

I'd like to find a similar fitting bra but with less stiff padding eg no foam. Also, I am wondering if I should go a size down.

  9. Sm Trefl (361)

+ Very rounded shape and good lift for a non-padded bra
+ Wires are considerably narrower than any other bra I own - see photos of Trefl 80JJ overlaid on 34JJ - Panache » Jasmine (6951)
+ Lower half of cup is 3 panels, all very flat seams for no-show under clothes.
+ Cups are a single layer of lace, unlined, so very lightweight but strong and supportive. The lace has a tiny bit of give but is essentially not stretchy.
+ Yoke is double layered, also not very stretchy so fits under bust firmly. Back is soft and quite stretchy. No bones in the side seams.
+ Straps are ... fully adjustable and do not seem to slip.
+ Center gore is narrow and not super high.

I first ordered this in a 75JJ. It is a tiny bit small in the cup (wires don't quite sit on my ribcage at the sides, cup doesn't quadboob, but only just), definitely too small in the back, and the strap width and cup height means I'll only wear it when I'm confident I can behave like a lady and don't need to be worrying about wobble. But with an extender I have worn and loved it.

I love the simplicity of the lace and the construction in general, and how lightweight it is. I'm not opposed to padded bras but I do feel like sometimes they put my boobs too close up under my chin, and you can't see it but I feel the bulk. I think my favourite thing about my 75JJ Trefl though is the low gore. It is the only bra I own that is truly plunge-like, that hugs each breast properly, tacks to my sternum and doesn't have to climb halfway to my collar bone to do so. I have lots of wrap dresses and with this bra I can wear them without pinning, flashing my bra or showing cleaveage (the 'my bra doesn't fit' 2D kind).

So I ordered the 80JJ, a bit bigger all over, and it's definitely the right size in the back. Not 100% on the cup though: hunching my shoulders creates some gape and there is a little space at the top. Also, the gore is a bit higher (1cm makes a noticeable difference) and the cups are significantly higher. I measured from the wire up the vertical seam in the middle of each cup and there is a 3-4cm difference in cup height between the 2 sizes. So not so great under my wrap dresses. Think I might try a 80J and see how I go.

My first Ewa Michalak. For some reason I was expecting a ton of padding, but it's only very lightly padded (not a bad thing). The wires are super narrow, which is great as most brands are too wide for me. The cups aren't really covering much, and I'm spilling out the side of the right cup a little. The centre gore is quite far from my sternum. The band fits well. It's a really comfortable bra; no poking or chafing anyhere! Hoping that a bigger cup size will fit better.
