The straps were to wide. So the straps kept sliding off the shoulders. The band was to tight until I got done with the measurements for the database. Then the band fit. Pretty but without support. To wide for a narrow set of breasts.
I'd been lusting after this swimsuit for quite some time, so when I saw that Brastop had it on for cheap, I simply had to buy it. When it arrived, the fit was great, save for the empty space at the sides, which really doesn't bother me much because it still looks great and gives phenomenal support. The wires don't go all the way up the centre gore, which looks a little odd to me, but upon contacting Brastop about this, they said that it was totally normal for this model. It's fairly comfortable with no poking and it doesn't seem to have stretched much since I bought it. It's way too small in the cups now due to homeward migration, so I have to do the dreaded tuck and jiggle when I wear it. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure that once I'm tucked in, my spillage can be mistaken by the general public as killer cleavage. I'll probably be listing this once I get more/better swimsuits.
Gorgeous color with contrasting embroidery. I'm not usually one for pink but this is more of a salmon and rose color that I like.
In terms of shape: Straps are a little wide so I may move them in. This bra gives a naturally uplifted shape. I like the cut of the cups - supportive without covering me practically to my collarbones. This bra will work with most of my scoop neck and some of my v neck clothes.
The material of the cups is stretchier than I'm used to. This is probably part of why the bra is so very ...comfortable. The material doesn't detract from support as far as I can tell, but does mean my breasts seem to jiggle more when I walk. The band itself feels good right now, with an even pressure along my back instead of tighter lines of elastic at the top and bottom, as some brands of bra use. In the past, Curvy Kate bands have stretched out quickly. If that happens I'll have to take the band in.
I was worried the single layer of mesh in the upper part of the cups would stretch more than the double mesh to the lower/side cups, resulting in a kind of middle-of-breast quad boob, but I haven't had that problem. Overall a cute and comfy bra, and that breezy mesh will be a relief when summer hits. Read more 137 more words
I fell in love with this bra the moment I saw pictures of it online, but I was a bit disappointed with the shape. Aside from not quite being able to fill the bottom, I used to fit the bra quite nicely until I had some homeward migration occur, now I've got spillage out of pretty much all of my bras unless I tuck myself in (goodness I hate tucking myself in!). It's quite comfortable regardless of any fit issues.
This is my ahh bra! I love this bra. The fabric is nice and soft. It's very comfortable. I think it's a tad too small in the cups but I don't care because this bra rocks! It's got some serious lower cup depth going on and low wires on the side which is a nice relief compared to the high side bras I have. The wires are narrow enough for me and not too wide at all. I've hear Curvy Kate has wide wires but not in The Princess and the Portia.
The fits do show through a tank top and t shirt combo but again not a problem for me because I really don't mind seams and outlines showing through. I gotta be comfy and this bra does it for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra was really pretty and I loved the detailing on it. However, cup wasn't quite deep enough at the bottom for my breasts and the wires were too wide for me and often poked me. The gore was a good width and did not seem too wide or too narrow. The band had a tendency to roll and it stretched quickly. The cups ran at least a cup size too small and didn't do much for me.
Bad bra for me. Underwires are not comfortable because they are too high and hurts my armpits. Cups are not able to hold my boobs up, they sag. Beautiful bra, but not suitable if you are looking for a low underwires.
Bright happy color. great contraction. This bra's band is on the smaller side, but going for true to size would be better for a longer term wear of the bra. The lace details of a criss cross pattern, it's very dainty without being grandmomish. This bra can be sexy. The material is smooth and not very see through. If not washed properly, the seams can look a little rough after a few washes.
This is a weird one. I think I'd be a 34HH/J in this style (as my larger boob is slightly spilling, but no entirely enough to need *need* a cup bigger). The band is quite firm, which is nice - despite being so thin at the clasp, it's extra wide under the arm with the boning, and thus still quite quite supportive. So I'd advice going with your upper band size, and a go down a cup.
But the cups are dissappointing. They are so stretchy, they really felt like they couldn't possibly do any work. If I tried to tighten the straps, the straps just stretched too, and just stretched them cup longer, instead of actually doing something about the fit.
I also feel like I didn't really 'get' the ruffles. They seemed sort of silly and in the way too me.
This was a very weird fit: I would have expected 34HH to be my size, as my 34H and 36GG (on inner-most hook) are a tad too small - but this one gave me quadro-boob big time!
On closer inspection, it looked bad in other ways too: It looked like it had been tilted forward, leaving too much bra and not enough boob in the bottom, a down-pointing tip, and a quadro-boob (as the part mean to be near your collar bone, now was on the middle of my boob) Hmmm! Also too flat in the middle.
A very nice, sporty-looking version of a practical nude bra, so a shame it fitted so badly.
