  1. Lucky Star Plunge Body (CK031704)

    Didn't fit

TDLR: Very poor fit. Looked fantastic, would never wear it. I ordered and sent this back in April/May and at time of writing it's October, so this review is to the best of my memory. I'm just under the cusp for EU "plus size" sizes (plus size in quotation marks because clothing sizes aren't consistent and plus size isn't a universally same size range) so for me this body was much too tight around the waist and midriff, while fine over the hips and in the gusset. I'm 169cm tall and wear 44/46 in underwear and 38/40 in shirts.

QUALITY: OK. It wasn't quite poor, but it was ... not the standard I expect from a UK lingerie brand. Not all the seams are even and I'm trying my hardest to picture it since I didn't take a picture of it when I had the body - The elastic edge of the band wasn't evenly sewed on below the underwires, so the top of the elastic could peek out just below the underwire, instead of being snugly sewn under the wire channels. The bra band was constructed separately from the rest of the bodysuit and sew in.
The fabric choices were interesting - the plain black mesh they used was really stretchy, but the vinyl has barely any stretch to it at all. This was made clear when i put it on and fastened the hooks in the gusset. The top half was vinyl and the bottom half was stretch mesh.

FIT: This was such a poor fit for me. It was so uncomfortable, the wires dug into my ribs, the seams were digging into my sides, the whole thing didn't feel like it was made for my body's proportions. It was straight up painful to wear.
The top half of vinyl was so tight that the seams were being pressed into my skin that they hurt, in addition to leaving angry red marks. The wings of the bra were also vinyl so the bra is very non-stretchy for the sides and front half, and then the black mesh on the back is way more stretchy. This makes for uneven distribution of fabric tension, making the front much tighter than the back, and thereby making the tension on the wires higher and making them dig in to my ribs. The wires sat lower than my underbust line anyway because of the cup shape and lack of immediate projection.
According to my notes the band was still correct tightness for being 30FF, but you wouldn't know because the wires hurt so much lmao.
My natural waist is about the same circumference as my underbust, and the body was too tight for that part of my body. Again the vinyl in the front and the mesh in the back made the front part disproportionately tighter than the back part.

It felt like the cups wanted more outward tension than inward tension - the wires were really wide for me and it was lacking so much lift and space in the front and center cup structure that I had to scoop and swoop my boobs towards my armpits to actually fit them in the cups. If I were to scoop them where I normally would scoop them to wear a Gorsenia bra, they would be chillin' halfway-in-halfway-halfway-out of the cups, making a strange quadboob effect. A massive shape mismatch in other words.

    DESIGN:
This body was really pretty and it looked SO GOOD on the models (especially The Lingerie Princess who I follow on instagram), so I bought it because I wanted to look as good https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
The half/half vinyl/mesh cup structure looks awesome. Like that part was easily the most good looking part of the entire thing. I can appreciate the dart of mesh between the two halves of vinyl that go across the waist/midriff, it gives the shape variation and clean lines to make it less monotonous. The charm at the gore is cute, a little star to compliment the name of the body "Lucky Star".
The strap attachment point to the cup is stylish, being made up of a metal hoop attatched to a ribbon (more solid than one, but it looks like a ribbon) sewn into the cup. I'm not fond of it for fit purposes because it feels less sturdy, but it looks cool, I can't deny that!
There was 3 rows of 3 hooks in the gusset, which is excellent for adjustability. I'm glad it has so many hooks to adjust with because it makes more room for different body shapes and needs.

    Didn't fit

This bra was the best out of my recent CK bra trials, but there are still some issues here. First a few words about the bra itself. Oh how gorgeous this bra is! I love the blue color with the lemon print! I also think the fabric of the bottom cups feels quite sturdy and the lace top part of the cups is rather thin and lightweight but it does not feel cheap. Looks like a good quality bra.

The straps though are thin like always on CK bras which I personally dislike. The band seems to be tts or even a bit small for a 34 band. It ... does ride up a bit if I close it on the loosest setting, but I usually wear a 32 band. I would have liked to try the bra in a 32JJ but I couldn't find this size online. I don't know If CK does not make the size or if it was sold out already. The cups are actually not that bad, the wires were less wide than on other bras from this brand. But it could also be because I tried a J cup here instead of a 32JJ. I really feel the difference between CK cups that are much less tall than most other brands that I wear. I have to say, that besides the CK Victory which is a very tall bra, CK is probably not the brand for you if you have tall boobs. So the lace edge does cut in a bit, and I feel like I could need some more support for my upper breast tissue. I don't think a bigger cup size would solve this, I don't think that it is 1 cup size too small. It's more that I would need a bit more fabric in the upper cup. (Or maybe a bit more depth at the center like always!) But I find the bra to be quite deep for a CK bra.

Like I said, it is not that bad, but the bra has the same issue that every bra from this brand had so far: it just feels not supportive enough. I know this problem might be specific for only my size range. I find the straps too flimsy, there isn't much uplift from the cups and too might weight goes on these thin straps. I also feel that with wear over the day that my boobs would fall out of the cups. (I had this problem with another bra from this brand where the bra just collapsed and got less and less supportive over they day. I had to always adjust my boobs in this bra and got neck pain from it. It was 32K - Curvy Kate » Gia (CK2101) ) So I fear this would happen with this bra too. I would look past the issues with wide cups or a little cutting in, if the bra felt supportive enough because I love the print so much. But support is the one priority in a bra that I won't compromise on.

I really want to try this bra! It’s so cute! I’m waiting for the price to drop some more.

    • 2

I love this bra, it's adorable. I wish they sold my size.

    • It looks like there is no JJ + cups in a 32 band?

    Didn't fit

When I received this bra, I first noticed how lightweight and thin the materials are. It is a pretty bra with the lace and sheer parts. Usually I can put on a bra very quickly but with Victory I needed quite some time to arrange my boobs for my pics so it looks decent at least.

    The issues:
(when I put on the bra like I would normally, no extender, straps adjusted but not as short as possible so they don't cut too much into my arms and shoulders)

Lots of gaping at the top. The cups are very tall and have lots of room in the top section, ... very full on top friendly. Wires are not as sturdy as I like and stretch quite a bit, but they also quite wide already. There is empty fabric in the cups at the sides and the wires almost end at my back.

Also when I tried to adjust my boobs into these cups, try to escape at the V-part of the gore. The gore is very tall at 13 cm which I cannot stand on my Panache Tango but did not bother me too much on this bra. The gore does not lie flat, it gets pushed away. Center full boobs do not work with bra that I guess.

On Bottom of the cups I also needed to kinda push my boobs towards the wide so they fill out that part. There was some empty fabric right at the wire I cannot fill. It almost looked like my boobs wanted to overtake the bra and fold over at the Bottom and over the underwire instead of filling the space. I don't know how to explain this better, it was really weird. I think there is not enough room there for deep boobs, also not enough center room.

The band is firm and short like a 30 band. I could fasten it but it looked and felt too tight. The cups are big for a 32K, I wear 32K in Panache Tango and it's a good fit, and I think Tango is fairly true to size it has been around for years?

32K Victory appears like 30L to me. The band is so small, you need a really small back for it, on the other side the straps are so seperated that I need a wider frame and broader shoulders to have a proper fit and not cups and straps cutting in my arms! I have narrow shoulders for my size, if I check size charts my shoulder width is 3 sizes smaller than what clothing size I actually wear also my underbust is smaller than my waist. That makes bras in big cup sizes just more difficult to fit and I think the bra could work on wider frame with smaller boobs. Very good bra for full on top, tall wide and somewhat shallow boobs (on bottom?)

Also the shape from the side is spectacular. I never saw such a round shape in a CK bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />

I tried it on again today and adjusted the straps to the maximum and wore an extender with the bra. I got rid of almost all wrinkling in the cups, when I also pushed the gore flat like on one picture it looked somewhat decent. But looks deceive as it is not wearable this way, because the shoulder straps would kill me and cut my arms off. Also I felt like there was not much support from the wire and band, the wire was too wide to support by bust on the side and would not do any support at the gore since the gore gets pushed away. The shoulder straps are super thin, stretchy and they slip all the time when adjusted. 50% boob weigh at least on the straps which would give me terrible neck pain. Not a bra for me.

Is it bad that I think about trying 34J... just for science. I will edit this when I have other thoughts, I wrote very quickly my first impressions here.

    • I've been meaning to order Victory but I was really discouraged by Dottie's short straps. Their 30 band was fine for me on Dottie, but the straps pull on the band so much it has seriously stretched out and rides up like crazy.

I do wonder if you would do better with Dottie though! The cups are considerably shorter than Victory (even in stock photos) and not so much full cup.

    • The straps are very wide set on Dottie, though, almost as bad as this. So it might just be a Curvy Kate thing!

    • 1

Dottie is a pretty bra especially that purple color, but looks like it stops at HH cup in all band sizes :(
It looks great on you btw:)

    • 1

CK was known for wide wires, and wide set cups yes, I thought they changed their shape a bit, like Victory is a new to CK 4 part construction but it has only changed that Victory is very roomy in the top cup and gives a better more round shape compared to old CK which gave me pointy upside 7 shape.

    • I actually stopped wearing it due to the short straps. They were giving me so many headaches and neck pains that I just couldn't bear to wear it anymore. The bra is very beautiful, though!

    • 1

Oh no :( Would longer straps solve the problem? like take longer straps from an old bra and replace them?

    • Yes they would (I usually have strap length issues on pretty much any bra that is not custom made--I pay extra to have straps longer on my EM bras), but the colour is so particular I cannot find a good match anywhere for strap elastic :(

    • 1

Would it help you if I measure the strap lenght on Victory when they are longest?

    • 1

Yes true if you don't want to have the bra look like patchwork bra. Would be easier if it was the black Color...

I never had the issue that straps were too long… must be so annoying.

    • 1

I don’t know how tall and shallow you have to be to fit these. I don’t get it because on most instagrammers the fit is good! Maybe they are editing their pics or rearranging everything.

Like, how is this possible? https://www.instagram.com/p/BnJHTyzB5Uz/?hl=en

    • 1

Her arms are up in the air, though. Could also be Photoshop.

    • Guys do you think 34J could work? I don't wanna give up yet. Band is too small so I size up but size down in cups.
No one writes the size they wear on instagram so they could just pick the one that looks best on pics and in real life wear other bras. For a pic fit and comfort are irrelevant. I also could make this bra look better with adjusting the straps very short I wonder if I could make it look like it fits with posing.

    • 1

Yes, or her hair is hiding that it’s too small. Looks like the gore tacks though. I don’t know it’s so short on her!!! How????

The buying for science is a temptation several of us are plagued with. We must have all the pieces to our bra puzzle!

Sorry it was such an ill fit. :-(

    • 2

But if it’s too shallow with not enough center room, sizing down won’t help.

    • I think it is too shallow at the centre. Why else would my boobs push the gore away?

    • Oh I love to try more bras for science. I feel like I'm starting bra fitting all new. Everything that used to work does not work anymore. I wanna order some more bras. I have Panache Tango that somewhat works but I don't wanna wear only that one...

    • did you consider EM? lace.de might deliver to you if you don't wanna order direct

    • Ehm yes I had tried a few years ago when I was around 32K like now. I found the bra construction too weak in my size. Also ordering a hassle and expendive with all the paypal snd cudtom fees. At least they sell quickly ln here. I prefer to find british brand bras that work. I don't know could never get into EM hype.

    • Arghh I cannot mention and edit when I type from my phone.

    • That is understandable, especially if you feel it can't carry your weight.

    • 1

I have very soft and heavy boobs. I need a bra that keeps them in and does as much support as possible with wires and band. If the bra just is a bit weak I can get terrible neck pain. Even Panache Floris is too weak now it is too big in the cups. Adjusting the straps very short to get rid of gaping does not make a bra less weak.

    • 1

alisa I am just speculating about a cluster of fit problems that might be working together to create this epic support failure, tell me if this seems possible:

      - cup is so tall and wide that the wires on your side have no ability to brace (or "push back") against the ribcage, thus defeating the purpose of underwire bras -- and enabling the gore end of the wires to just go wherever your boobs push it with very little resistance
      - because CK designers tried to give it a cute bandless look with just a little stick joining the cups down at the base of the gore (instead of having at least a triangle of strong powermesh like a normal bandless bra), if the bracing effect of the underwire is lost due to wire width, the front of the bra loses even more stability
      - therefore the whole front of the bra, including the gore, tips forward very easily under the weight of the bust and the torque effect, even if the cups themselves theoretically have the depth needed to easily fit over the wearer's breast (as you can see when you force it to tack).

If this is a possibility, perhaps a smaller cup size would allow the bra to at least have some functional stability because the crazy wire width problem might be solved.

The question is HOW MUCH you would need to go down in cup size to get an acceptable wire width, and would that still allow enough cup depth to actually, you know, fit your boobs!

I think there may be some hope for making it work in a smaller cup size and 34 band, because here while it looks like an acceptable depth for your breast tissue, in fact there is quite a bit of cup volume that is just not being used -- there is such a big portion of the bra that is being stretched round your sides instead of sitting where the boob is.

The Instagrammer that was linked above, Fairyboobmother, is also in a FB lingerie group I'm in--she is super nice. If you wanted to ask her what size she wears in this bra and what she has observed about the fit I am sure she would answer, or if you have never talked to her I can go and find her name (which has slipped my mind but I know she has posted about her IG so it's not a secret/privacy thing) and ask her myself in the FB group.

    • I took a picture holding up my arms. I just had to :D I forgot about the hair though which would hide how the straps cut off my arms. http://bra.pe/Imfa/
My theory is you can make any bra look decent in photos, if the size is not too far off, like only 2-3 sizes too small or big.

    • wendybien thank you for your comment! I love how you explained everything, and I think that is what is going on with this bra… the band even stretches the wire more to the sides since it's so tight. The cup depth of this bra is 39cm which is the same cup depth as in my Panache Tango that fits well. The difference between these two is that Victory is very tall and very roomy on top while Tango is moderately tall and more closed on top. Also the Tango has sturdy Panache wires that can are not stretched to my back.

So is Victory not really a shallow bra? I also think it does not look shallow but behaved like a shallow bra at the wire and gore. If the wire weren't so distorted I would have even more extra space in this bra.

I'm also worried about the whole bandless style, I never got along with bandless bras. The bra is a really cute design but they probably only tested in on smaller cup sizes.

Like I said I find it fits kinda like I imagine a 30L. So if I sistersized that to a 34 band, I would wear 34K, but then I have to go down in cups like 2 sizes which would make me have to order 34J? Oh if only that 36HH that was added here was measured… so I could compare cup width of a sister size.

Should I order another or should I not? I'm really really curious so no other way to find out. Ha I love to try bras for science. My wallet does not love the shipping costs ;(

    • alisa brastop has a sale going on today..I think ... So maybe that'll help?

    • 2

alisa can you pay via PayPal and use their returns reimbursement option? That’s what I do if there are no free returns.

    • 1

Your arms up pics...wow. I need to remember that when looking at insta. You don’t even need to photoshop, it’s all in the posing.

    • 1

Frazzleberry thanks I got this Victory bra in their sale, now they got even 1-2£ cheaper than last week :)

    • 1

cupandahalf I can use free Returns in PayPal, 12 times a year and no more than 3 times in 1 month. I almost forgot about that. Yaay!

I'm just not used to buy so many bras, haven't done that in a while so I feel a bit "bad" for buying so much :D

Yes instagram is not good for bra fitting just promoting sales of the bras by having them look good no matter what. Good that we have bratabase for fit issues. I also think a few popular instragram bloggers are in too small bras, just to fit into a size range of a brand, but would need a bigger cup for proper fit. The bras never look like they are too small though.

    • 3

The only bra fit photos I trust are the ones on btb! lol

    • 1

alisa the way a bra looks to fit in photos is often very dependent on lighting, I think it was MamaPagan who showed her photos in different lighting that were a stark difference in fit despite being taken one after the other.
In my photos some of my issues are often very hard to see... I quad in near every bra I try due to my freakishly tall roots, despite being pretty FOB, yet it is extremely hard to see that in photos!

    • brasaremean I even try to make my photos so that the issues I describe are visible. Sometimes I take photos where I make a bra look better but then I write it down, like that arm holding up pic or when I strangle my arms with super tight straps to get rid of cup wrinkling.

I wonder if my roots are really tall for my size? I mean I don't have any data to compare. How tall has a tall root in size 32K to be? :S Back in the day everyone told me I need tall deep cups and they worked. Last week I got 4 bras I couldn't fill the top, I'm confused :S

    • 2

    • 1

alisa looking at these pictures and the Bravissimo ones I wonder if your shape has changed and you’re now more short rooted. Medium roots?

    • 1

alisa Our breasts are ever changing, and I swear when I think I've figured mine out, they up and change again. I am currently between sizes for the main brand I wear. One cup is painfully small but I get the dreaded wrinkle in the next cup up. Yet it's still better than any other brand for me, as the options are quite limited. :-/
I feel your frustrations amd pain.

    • 1

That is what I gathered from her fitting help request cupandahalf. Unfortunately with weight loss come breast shape changes and what would have worked before might no longer work.

MamaPagan those are the ones! Thank you :)

alisa I genuinely try to make the fit issues obvious in photos but they just won't show :/

    • 1

alisa I just went to look at some of your old bras (I hope you don't mind). So for this photo ( http://bra.pe/IQYl/ ) I would definitely say you lost some upper fullness. This happened to me too after some weight loss over the past year (I went from 83kg to about 74 right now). The more weight I lost, the more FOB I got, which was really annoying to me because I genuinely felt like my breasts were full all over and what worked before (even in the wrong size, as much as that can work) stopped working after that weight loss, and prompted me to actually start looking into this whole a bra that actually fits thing.

    • 1

Wow, comparing those two bras, especially the angled views, really shows your weight loss and shape change! You are still full on top but your breasts start lower on your chest.

Let me think about what might work well for you keeping this in mind.

    • 1

MamaPagan thanks for the pics :)

    • You're welcome :-)

    • brasaremean No no I don't mind. I had this floris since 2014 when it fitted and it fitted again for few weeks during my weight loss journey. 2015-2018 when I was at my heaviest weight, was my easiest time in bra fitting. I just wore Bravissimo 34L bras. When I wore one to death I just could order another in that size and it worked. I felt a bit sad about it today but I'm also excited to try new bras :) Interesting about how weight loss can change boob shape and how we need to fit ourselves.

    • cupandahalf could one change full on top boobs to full on Bottom? I kinda think it could not be possible? Maybe change from full all over to more full on top / bottom? I have shorter roots now probably medium for my size, I lost a lot of upper and side fullness.

Today I almost cried when I put on my 30K Tango with extender. I had zero quadboob. I even thought I forgot to scoop in side tissue and did it again 2 times but everything fitted so well I was shocked. I was so thankful for the support of this bra. I made the mistake of wearing 32K floris last week when I also had a migraine and it made everything worse by being unsupportive and gave me neck pain. Tango keeps my boobs in place and holds them up. I thought if everything fails, I can get another 32JJ Tango. But on the Bravissimo website they complain about quality issues and new Tango colors apparently have weaker wires and wires popping out after a few wears. What did Panache do to this bra!? :(

    • You can always order the old colourways on ebay and such

    • MamaPagan you are the expert here on polish bras and Ewa Michalak, would you recommend any of those for me? I had tried 2 comexim, and 3 EM bras years ago, they did not work. (fit was off) but what kept me from exploring some more was that I found them to weak to support my boobs. I also prefer british brands as they are easier to buy and return for me.

    • brasaremean yes I know, I love eBay. There isn't as much there nowadays but one can still get bargains occasionally.

On Bravissimo new in I found this lilac colorway: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/tango-bra-bluebell-pn53bll/ sooo pretty I always wanted a bra in this color, they call it bluebell, I love bluebells :)

    • I love! the new lilac/periwinkle/bluebell colourways!
Bravissimo also has Stella plunge and CK has the lilac one. Beautiful colours

    • 2

I wouldn't call myself an expert since we are all learning every day, but I have tried quite a few. I wouldn't recommend Comexim unless you want to switch the wires as they will not serve you well.

With Ewa, I would think her FB line might give you the support you need while still providing you comfort, but would recommend going with one that has the stretch lace to adjust the fit better. dbmamaz has tried a few of the FB models, and her input would be very valuable here.

From what I've read about the line, the bands and cups run small, so double check the sizing before leaping forward though.

Aside from the FB, I'd suggest the SF line as it is more supportive than the BM but more flexible with fit than the SM.

    • 3

alisa I remember your EM adventures (which were indeed failures in terms of support) and I would say that it could be worth at least examining cup measurements here or contacting them to ask questions about wire length, wing height etc. in an appropriate size, since they now make more high-coverage cups, which are more supportive on a full AND tall breast shape like your own (perhaps not as tall as before, but you still have some pretty solid, projected boob height that needs support). I think you would definitely want to make sure you were trying the designs with the most robust materials and appropriate height at the gore and on the sides, because those features are very important to get a nice, stable, secure fit.

Re: changing degrees of "full on top"/"full on bottom"-ness, you can absolutely experience a big change in breast shape and proportions at the same weight if your body composition and breast composition has changed. Let's take an example of a young lady who goes from 65kg at age 18, to 85 at age 22 and then back to 65 at age 25. Same breast volume overall at 18 and 25. Well, if she was like me at 18, a good proportion of her breast was composed of nice soft fluffy fat, which often sits on the upper pole of the breast. Now let's say that her massive weight loss from ages 22 to 25 was related to the fact she took up a strenuous sport (thus increasing muscle mass and reducing her body fat % to at least a little bit less than what it was at age 18, and meanwhile also experiencing further growth of the actual glandular tissue because she is one of those people who gets breast growth in her 20s). Now she is 65kg once again but her boobs at 25 will have a much higher proportion of glandular tissue and less fat. So she could have lost a great deal of the fluffy fullness she had on the upper pole of the breast when she was a teenager, while still having roughly the same breast volume, and she will now also likely find that her breasts now are heavier and denser requiring even more serious support than before--because glandular tissue is heavier than fat.

(My considered opinion about the Full on Top/on Bottom descriptors anyway is that they are not complete shape descriptors. For a meaningful description, other proportions need to be considered together with those FoT/FoB qualifiers. People use them loosely and interchangeably with various terms suggesting more or less breast height, but if you use them strictly, a person with a very very full upper boob shape may fit into the most closed-on-top, small-cup-height bra if the projected part of her breast is simply not very tall and she has more of a "b" boob shape (round full shape that ends abruptly on top and no tapering tissue going up towards collarbone). Meanwhile another super-full-on-top shape person could be utterly unable to fit any but the tallest and most open-on-top cups (a bit like the blogger BrasIHate who coined these terms) due to the unusual height of the full, projected part of her breasts. So, yes these are helpful terms but they only tell part of the story.)

    • 2

alisa dbmamaz has a few Tangos and she thinks they are good quality in a similar size to yours, so I think it's ok to try maybe?

I was waiting for this comment wendybien , you explain it best. I kinda remember having this weight/shape changes discussion before...

    • 1

brasaremean oh yes by now I have a lot of practice singing that tune
:-D I was a bit afraid to mention it the first time years ago because people REALLY loved having these terms that they thought would be the key to all kinds of fit dilemmas. Fortunately nobody got mad so I have mentioned it again many times since!

    • I'm sorry everyone I answer so late. I appreciate everyones comments. :)

MamaPagan thank you for your recommendations. I have added a SF and FB on my wishlist. I don't know if I would be sized out of SF depending of how it runs compared to UK sizes. THe biggest size they make is 75K.
I will avoid comexim, the bras were too weak, my boobs would fall out of them. I don't think it's worth it as long as I have other options.

    • alisa They often make sizes larger than what's listed. My size is never listed (60KK-60L) as available, not even under custom, but they still make it. It just requires an email order instead of a web order, and of course custom sizes are never returnable.
@dbmamaz still wears Panache so she could assist with knowing how they compare in this size range. I would definitely speak with her before ordering.

wendybien thank you for your comment. It was very helpful. I re-read BrasIHate''s master post again http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2013/02/clarifying-breast-shape-full-on-top-vs.html and with your comment it helped me clear the confusion.
I still do have a full on top shape by definition of this post. Also combined with tall root but not extremly tall like you described. I can wear a Panache Tango in the right size without overspill and that is not a bra that is recommend for FOT shape. But I lost some fullness with my weightloss going from 34L /36K to 32K which was fluffy fat I had on the sides and the upper boob. (When at 34L I decribed my boobs are full on in all directions :D Also I would fill the cup to the wire and top in 34L selina, no empty spaces ever. ) I think the bras I tried recently were too big in the cups, I don't have so much upper fullness to have to size up 2 sized in Bravissimo compared to Panache and CK Victory is just weirdly sized. I have a 34J on it's way just to satisfy my curiosity and for bra science.

What you think, should I open a new adventure about weight loss / bra size changed so everyone can share their stories? I think it would be easier to find, than your talk here on a bra review. Valuable information can be found easily by search and we could link the adventure if the topic comes up again?

    • I think that's a great idea alisa . Almost everyone deals with that at some point and it's one of the rare fit issues that seems to affect every single size range in terms of the way it will shake our confidence in fitting ourselves. Plus, changes in weight, size, body composition or reproductive situation are FAR from emotionally neutral so we often need all the help we can get in those situations.

    • 1

wendybien I will let you know when I opened the new adventure, so you could add your very imformative comments from here there too. I don't know when I get to it in the next days. I will also do a new adventure of my bra trials and fails so there is not too much off topic stuff on this review here.

    • Thank you, yes, reminders are a good idea--the brain cells I wore out thinking about bras seem not to be renewing as fast as they used to hahaha! If I don't post on it promptly, feel free to send me a PM--sometimes I miss a notification if there are lots on the same day.

This bra has a lovely dark blue colour called accompanied by a light blue elastic on the bottom of the cups and band and matching bows on the gore and straps.

It's a three part cup bra. The bottom and outer part of the cups is two-lined mesh that is not stretchy. The top part of the cups is delicate stretchy lace in the same dark blue colour with an abstract floral-like pattern. It accommodates my upper and central fullness really well and feels non-scratchy (unlike CK Princess lace, which is killing me). There is some risk of in-cup quadding with this bra, fortunately, it's not visible on me ... when I am wearing my clothes on.

With the top of the cups being stretchy, I think it would be great for nursing, as the cups can be pulled down easily, plus there is no risk of cutting in.

There is slight inconvenience with the bottom elastic curling under the band and hurting me sometimes - this is something that happens in all of my bras, so I guess I just need to accept it.

Overall, I am really happy with this purchase. Because of my baby pushing all of my organs up my ribcage is 2 cms larger than before pregnancy, I prefer to wear the bra with an extender some days.

  5. Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401)

Here’s my initial review of the crimson colour: http://bra.pe/XYSX/

This bra was cheap. Suuuper cheap. So cheap that I opted for the 30E in it because the sister sizes were double or more. It’s perhaps not my perfect size as I have few fit issues with this, and a sister size might be better, but I knew the fit well enough from my other one to be confident about ordering the same size in a different colour.

My shape, in case you don’t see the other review... narrow roots that are average to short (or taller but deflated and functionally short) and my tissue is soft and ... malleable, and definitely pendulous, which leans towards full on bottom and center full. I need projection at the wire but only average depth at the apex.

Like my crimson Ellace, the band is pretty snug, and while I can clasp it on the loosest hooks and it feels ok, it’s not comfortable for the long term. So I have my trusty extender and typically use it on the middle hook (sometimes the tightest), extending it fully at the end of the day when I am reclining on the couch or against pillows in my bed (as I am now). Stretched band is 28.5”and max 29” so definitely small for a 30! Although I think the lower elastic band is aesthetically pleasing, I think it’s also what causes the band to run tight and because it’s a different stretch from the upper elastic, makes tension between the top and bottom different, and therefore leads to a bit of wrinkling between the straps and wires. The stretch lace seems to lay better than the crimson, and I think my in cup quadding is not as noticeable (which is to say that most people would not notice it on either) but I’m pretty voluminous in the cups, and I definitely quad as I get close to my period. I’m thinking about getting a 32E just for my swelling before my period. I’m not sure if a 32DD is going to have enough extra room. A 30F is likely to be too tight in the band still, unless it’s really a cup size issue (cups on the back test is inconclusive) and it’s tight because my boobs are fighting for space.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with this one. The latte colour is great against my pale Canadian skin...and as said, maybe not my ideal size, but one that’s good enough since the price was crazy cheap. The pics are from after work, so I’ve got a bit of a reddish line from the bra band I was wearing (probably the crimson Ellace) at the end of the day, and I am not wearing the extender in the pics...just loosest hook and very snug.

Thanks. I love the colour. I'm so happy I got to see the colour on a blog post and here beforehand because it's not a good colour on the Amazon listing. And seriously, it was $18.99 and all the other potential sizes were $40+.

I tried this model in a 28F (http://bra.pe/XY3C/) already and the cups felt really small and didn't fit properly. But thanks to Calluna and lcl0706 I gave it another try in 30F and this is so much better. Thanks for convincing me! The color looks better then expected. I originally wanted to get a blue one but this was on sale on bravissimo.com. It's a mix between purple and Bordeaux red and it looks even more intense in person then on the photos. I also like the shiny straps and the band at the bottom.

The cups are filled out perfectly, ... the gore finally tacks and there is enough space at the top in front. I also don't get that weird pressure on the outside of my breasts anymore. The wires are still a bit too wide but they are soft so I don't feel them. The elastic in front of my armpits wrinkles and there is some empty space. It gets worse, when I lift my arms and better when I move the straps towards my neck. But it's completely invisible under clothes. I guess it would fit even better on someone with wider, and possibly taller roots since the sides are quite high. Surprisingly the shape is also more projected then in the 28F probably the cups were indeed pulled flat by the band due to the soft wires.

Comfort is amazing. I have this for over two month now and wear it quite often. At first it felt way too loose but wearing it to work I noticed that it doesn't shift around and my boobs don't move much. Only when I bend over the gore lifts of my sternum slightly and the stretch lace feels like it could allow my breast to move forward making it feel less secure. Overall it doesn't quite match the support and shape of my super tight 28Fs but in return it is more comfortable toward the end of the day. Also the larger portion of stretch lace provides some room for swelling which makes it a great period bra.

    • 1

Looks great! Yay! Even though it’s kinda similar to my crimson, I’m looking at getting this colour in a 32DD or 32E, as I find the 30 a bit too tight in this style and need to use an extender. I want to see if it fits more comfortably from the start. I’m leaning towards the E because I might have the band altered to make the tension more even, as the top is looser compared with the bottom (which is one reason I have a bit of wrinkling at the side wire because it’s not flexing the wire far enough back) and the cup might be a little bit taller to contain my super soft tissue better at the seam with the lace better than it does in the 30E. But I might get a wee bit of extra depth in the 32DD that will be sufficient. Anyway...

    • 1

A very nice fit. Thanks for posting the review!

    • 1

      That looks stunning on you!

    • Thank you all so much.

@Calluna Looking at the other pictures it seems like most people get this wrinkling on the sides of the cups to some extend. So maybe this is just a design flaw. Or this bra is made for very wide breast that tend to spread out to the sides.

I think altering it is a good idea. But maybe we should just remove some fabric and a bit of the elastic from between the straps and the wires instead of making the upper elastic on the band shorter (If I understand you correctly). I had less wrinkling on the sides of my 28F because the wires were pulled wider. But it was uncomfortable to have them sit so far behind my breast tissue. Also you could loose some space in front and the distorted wires could make the gore dig in. But I am just guessing at this point.

    • Yeah, I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or not because my Florence has the same issue. It's probably made for a v shaped chest where the top needs less tension because the rib cage is naturally wider, thus pulling the tension on the wires better. That type of alteration might work too.

    • Gorgeous! Congratulations :-)

  7. Vegas Balcony Bra (CK5601)

Me: Full on top, effectively full on bottom, omega shape, round boobs, soft on outside, firm on inside, full everywhere, short roots.

Shape/fit: Projected at the apex without much pointyness. More room at the apex than the bottom of the cup, but still lots of room at the wire. Good for short/average roots. Might work for taller ones too though as the top of the cup is elasticized. Narrowest wires for this size. Gives a rounded natural shape. Similar in fit to Curvy Kate Daydreamer Balcony Bra (CK5401) but with a more forgiving cup edge. Great if you're full on ... top. In this size band is a little stretchier at the bottom of the band, perfect for those of us who are more A shaped/have back fat.

Gore is fairly short for a balconette, especially in this size, sides are a bit taller but not uncomfortable. Wires are firm but softer than Panache. Band is very stretchy, size down one band. Bottom cup material is strong, double-reinforced mesh. It's soft enough, but not as smooth as the Daydreamer. The elastics are also comfortable, much more so than most Curvy Kate elastics. Straps are just right- not too stiff and hard, not too stretchy. The mesh top has some stretch, and the top pink elastic is just right- it's not sewn on stretched, so it won't cut into full on top boobs.

Looks: Oh my god every bra should be like this. It's gaudy and tacky and I love it so much. I've been waiting for a year for this bra and I'm not disappointed. There's at least three different fluorescent pink colors used, lots of aqua and purple and ridiculousness. The flamingos really are what bring it over the top. I love flamingos and kitchy prints and this is my bread and butter. More bras like this please!

Support/comfort: The bottom lace is purely decorative but doesn't chafe- it's quite soft. The bra feels a tiny bit itchy in places but I haven't washed it yet. I've been wearing it for about five hours without pain at this point, meaning it's one of two bras I own I can wear. It is so supportive due to the firm mesh cup. No bouncing at all for my huge breasts. I haven't had a bra that controls them like this since I grew out of my full coverage Elomis.

Tldr: Rounded apex projection, narrow wires, good construction, comfortable, and the most supportive Curvy Kate out there, all in the most ugly-pretty package imaginable. Size down in the band. If you don't like this color, though, this one is coming out soon: http://www.lingerieinsight.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Tropics-1.jpg

This bra is AMAZING! I wear Ewa Michalak exclusively, so you can imagine my requirements to be happy: narrow wires, projection, rounded shape, lots of uplift, and boobs up front, not east/west. This bra ticks all of my boxes, and YES, it's Curvy Kate! I purchased this bra used from someone else, and I immediately ordered 2 more from Belle Lingerie right after I tried it. It's that good. I think the Daily Dream will now be my everyday/work bra. I wear scrubs to work, and I notice with this bra my boobs fit in my scrubs a tiny bit better than with my Ewa Michalak S bras. This shade of beige is also the *perfect* nude for me. Most beiges are too yellow against my skin, and this one is more cool-toned. For reference, I currently wear 70J/JJ in Ewa Michalak.

It sounds like DD can be my dream bra too! Thank you for the review!! Btw, do you think the fit is similar to EM S style or PL? I saw the measurement and it looks like more Pl because of the relatively short gore. Am I thinking right?

    • Hmm, it's a little bit different than either of them. The gore is a little short, but I don't get cleavage in this bra like I do the PL. I can't explain why; it's just constructed a little different! I don't like feeling of my boobs touching together while working, which is why the S bra was my go-to. I usually save PLs for going out/date night. My boobs feel separated in the Daily Dream, not squished together for cleavage.

Daily Dream is very comfy with a nice shape, though. I can't wait to get my other 2 in.

This may be the Cleo Lily we've been waiting for:
    -Up front
    -Rounded
    -Substantial straps
    -Supportive band
    -Excellent immediate projection
    -Excellent center projection
    -Short-root friendly

If you liked Cleo Lily, here she is...improved. Seriously.

30G CK Daydreamer vs CK Florence
-The wire channel is thicker, but not wider: I measured https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
-The fabric is more supportive, but still relatively lightweight.
-The immediate projection is slightly better.
-The lift is BETTER. That was the most surprising difference.
-The cup width is .25" more narrow.

I definitely need a 30GG in this style because the cup is especially narrow. And, I'm not a fan of the kitsch fabric. However, this is a well-designed, supportive bra! And, I look forward to a more elegant fabric....soon. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

    • 1

cupandahalf The fabric is so different and wonderful! I thought Ellace was my favorite until Daydreamer arrived. Amazing. Thanks so much for bringing this design to my attention!

    • 1

I wish CK unlined bras worked for me. I've tried 4 now including Cascade (I think the same cut as Daydreamer). The fabric was the nicest part about that bra and I think Daydreamer is similar.

    • letstalkaboutbras I thought Cascade and Daydreamer were the same cut, too. I assure you, they are not. Cascade was too shallow near the wire and I tried in two different sizes hoping to find a better fit. But, Daydreamer has excellent immediate projection. $24 on Amazon in certain sizes.... ;-)

    • 1

Love4Pollinators Aw, darn, I could have gotten it for cheap to try, too. The problems I had with Cascade were that I'm too FoB and narrow for it. I couldn't fill the lace part at all and the band fought with my flared ribcage. Daydreamer looks really nice on you. I don't hate the print that much :)

    • 1

I think I will try the 40j and take in the band. I think it's cheap on eBay right now too

    • 1

Amazon wasn't showing a 30GG anywhere, but there it was when I tried to exchange this 30G. Equal exchange! :-) :-) I'm thrilled because I couldn't find a 30GG on EBay either. And, there is no sign of a different fabric...anywhere. Hoping the 30GG dimensions are perfect. I'm so done with too small bras!

    • 1

Wow! Good to know! Thanks for the review! It looks really nice on you!

    • 3

So the SS17 style that I think will be similar in cut, comparing pictures, is the equally kitschy Vegas, in a neon flamingo print. It is both hideous and amazing and I must have it: http://thepetitecollegiate.com/2016/08/04/curvy-kate-ss17/

  11. Cabaret Plunge Bra (CK5111)

    30E

    Didn't fit

I'm totally obsessed with plunge bras at the moment, got an Amazon gift card for Christmas, and this was $18 - thus, the Cabaret came to be. It's being returned so fast I'm not bothering with fancy-pants blog photos or a full write up; I took these in my bathroom on my iPhone and did some quick and messy tattoo editing. It's a fail on me but it's my brabligation to add it to BTB and give you the takeaways. My opinions of pros and cons are all my own and relative to my size and shape, so as always YMMV.

PROS: very short wings (2.6"). ... Shortest I've found to date. All the chafed armpits out there should rejoice - you'll be safe in this bra. Low gore (1.6"). Oodles of immediate projection. Relatively narrow wires (5.1"). Short-root/FOB friendly cups with a closed edge that seems like it would prevent my soft tissue from sliding out of the middle. Firm wires that don't distort on the tightest band setting - could be a con for those with sensitive ribcages. Pretty aesthetics, with the sheer black mesh and barely-pink accents. To be fair, I'm not a fan of the black and hot pink one, just the black-and-blush colorway.

CONS: True to size band - this is actually a pro for most, but a con for me since it wasn't available in a 28F. Oodles of apex projection - again, could be a pro, however this is a bra too projected for me. There's a sentence I never thought I'd say. There's a lot of wrinkling at the apex of this bra. If the cups weren't so closed off I could do a 30DD, but the cup shape is simply a mismatch for my own. Wide gore (1") - will bother the very close set among us, did not bother me since I am slightly splayed. Somewhat scratchy/rough material reminiscent of Cleo by Panache that feels like it would soften with wash and wear.

So in the end, the Cabaret came close but just didn't get it done. I wish it did, and perhaps I could pinch the extra apex material and tack it down, but I have so many well fitting bras that for the price of this one and considering the band alteration it would shortly need, it just isn't worth it. This bra reminds me a lot of the Freya Arabella plunge and I adore the aesthetics of both, but the Arabella stabbed my sternum. All pictures were taken on the tightest band hooks.

I appreciate this review. I'd also need a true 28, but I need tons of apex projection, too. Checked the measurements and 9.5 may be a smidge too deep. Seems more like an F. Maybe I can find something similar with an opaque cup. I'm trying to find an unlined bra and prefer stiffer materials. I haven't looked at CK in a while...

    • 1

I tried this a few months ago and had similar problems. With all the good luck I've had with Ellace and Bardot I was hoping their plunges would be the same, I had similar issues to what you are having with the wrinkling. I thought I had added the bra, but I think it arrived at a time when I was super busy traveling for work and had only a day or two home.

    • letstalkaboutbras it seems like I measured mine quite a bit deeper than others too. I often think I get a bigger number than most people when I measure depth on bras, and I don't know if it's my technique or what. I'm always careful to measure the deepest part of the cup regardless of where that is. It does look like an F on paper, I guess it's possible I got one that runs bigger. That said, the shape is still wrong for me - I know in a size down it would be too closed off for me.

amandafire you entered your bra on here because I remember reading your write up of it too and you having the same problems. Unfortunate, I would love some unlined plunges to have around. I wonder if CK's Dare and Desire (or whatever they were called) are cut the same.

    • 1

I've found their Unlined plunges run 1 cup deep. Although Ellace, Florence, and Bardot are good fits volume-wise, 30G Princess Plunge was enormous. I couldn't find my breast in all the wrinkles ;-)

    • 2

I would hazard a guess the newer plunges & redesigned cups are all going to have this same shape which kinda sucks - I'd like to find one that fits me. I've never considered myself to have anything but very short roots so I'm surprised to find a bra that would cut in on me, hence why I'm more apt to call this "too projected at the apex in my correct size" rather than "too closed off in a size down", an example of which I've never encountered until now!

    • One of our users has had incredible luck with the new plunges (center and immediate projection are excellent), but she is at the opposite side of the range.

    • 3

Love4Pollinators that's me! I love CK plunges because of their apex projection which I really need (everyone loves 3hcs but they just don't work for me due to lack of apex projection). As far as closed edges in CK plunges go, Cabaret is the most closed off, followed by Atomic, followed by the Princess Plunge, which is super open on top.

Thank you for the review! I'm intrigued... I tried a couple CKs in my early bra fitting days and the fit was just off for me, so I've been reluctant to try again. How do you find the shape (say...in comparison to EMs SM and Cleo's Marcie?)

    • Wilderness1 I find it more rounded than the SM's for sure. SM's were quite minimizing on me. Ellace is almost as round as Marcie, but the fabric isn't as stiff (in my size) so I'd say it's between SM and Marcie on the basketball boobs scale. I do know that starting one cup larger, so 28FF and equivalent sister sizes on up, CK changes the construction to be more supportive - it has wider straps, a 3x3 closure, and possibly stiffer fabric (?). I was surprised at how lightweight the bra is, and I don't think it's quite so lightweight in larger volumes.

Okay, well, I may keep my eye out for a sale on this one so I can try it. I haven't tried EM's SM or BM because I've read mixed reviews about what it does for shape so that's good to know. Thanks for the tidbit about shape change on the bra over 28FF sizes.

I just bought this bra today at the boutique near me. The black is gorgeous! I ended up taking home the latte because the black colorway was a tiny bit off in the cup size. The red and latte colorways fit great and had good projection, as you described. Thanks for the review!

In my blog review I break down this bra (the latte colorway), the black bra in 28F, and the white bra in 30E. I review all three at the same time. It's a great shape for narrow and short roots that need projection! This has quickly become my favorite unlined bra. Full details on the blog!

    Hasn't set fit

The CK Desire has a bunch of bad reviews, so you can imagine my enthusiasm when I received one in a Breakout Bras grab bag a while back. Having seen some very bad fits on user submitted pics, I expected my boobs to suffer a similar fate. The cut reminds me of the CK Elegance without all the silly swirly cup embellishments. For the record, I had the worst luck with the CK Elegance in 28GG.

First impressions: the bra itself looks pretty standard. It’s a multiway and potentially a strapless plunge (if you like taking big risks in life) with some pretty big goofy straps in ... a 28GG. Did they make the straps out of waistband elastic? Shit’s too wide to make me feel desirable. BOOM. See what I did there? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> Another thing about these straps is how easily they come off the bra. If the bra is strapped on your shoulder, there’s enough strap tension there to keep those bad boys from self-detaching and making a quick dive for the floor. However, as soon as there’s any bit of slack or especially when you are pulling the straps over and onto your shoulder, some unknown force will send the straps flying off your bra leaving you no choice but to reattach them while wearing the bra.

Now on to shape. My, oh my. I do understand what other reviewers have noted; the cup design gives a very peculiar shape. Imagine your boob assumes a rounded teardrop shape in this 3 part cup bra. Now picture that the shape is round except for your inner boob where there’s a sharp corner running along the upper panel of the 3 part cup as if they shoved a ruler into this section of the bra. This look is no bueno for the following shapes: FOT, FOB, evenly full, shallow, projected, medium projection (did I miss any shapes?). Additionally, this bra also has a tendency to drag boobs to point east/west as if they recently got into an argument and are not on talking terms. You can see this effect mostly on my forward facing picture due to the telling shadows. I was probably having PMS boobs that week and was majorly overfilling the cups which appears to have countered a bit of the “ruler-lined” effect of this bra. Denser boobs will fare slightly better shape-wise in this bra, but you’d basically need to put a shot put ball in the cup if you wanted to round out that weird edge.

    I didn’t like the bra.

Humorous review, Gemmy ! I especially liked:
"...drag boobs to point east/west as if they recently got into an argument and are not on talking terms..."
      and
"...sharp corner running along the upper panel of the 3 part cup as if they shoved a ruler into this section..."

Good to know I can cross both the Curvy Kate Desire and Elegance off my list. Thanks!

    • This review cracks me up. Thank you for taking your experience with such an ill-fitting bra and turning it into such a hilarious review!

Also, the back looks like some kind of bandage. And those straps are crazy wide!

    • Holy crap those straps are wide. I thought my 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Chp Słowianki (507) was bad. Shame about the fit. I wonder if it works on any one.

earningaboutbras glad you enjoyed the read. I'm still perplexed at how such a normal looking bra can commit such crimes to boob.

@ladyinblue there are not many redeeming qualities about this bra. At least i get great cleavage in it--well if you're willing to ignore the part of my boob suddenly that goes concave.

@gratiat I also wonder if it works on anyone. The bra even gives a wonky shape to their models.

I bought the CK jewel because of you.... And I might buy this bra because of you.
How does this bra compare to the jewel?

    • 1

For some reason I can't edit my post. How does this bra compare to the jewel? It reminds me so much of Cleo Marcie (that's one of the reasons I want it)

    • Prettyncharmeuse Jewel is a beauty, I can't blame you for that! It was lcl0706 fault I got mine in the first place hahaha Florence is very similar to Jewel. I'm juxtaposing both bras in 30F right now and I would say they look pretty much the same, except that Florence's vertical seam is a little inner applied comparing to Jewel...and Jewel is a tiny bit less deep than Florence...other than that absolute clones!!!
I also own a Marcie in 28F and you're right, they are suuuuper similar in terms of construction...in comparison, I'd say the only visible difference is the fact that Marcie as it's straps moved in about 2,5-3cm

    • 1

I'm trying to figure it what size I would need. The jewel is 30D, but it's too small (although I could probably get away with wearing it). My Marcie in 30DD fits perfectly, but in my princess bras I need 30D.

    • Prettyncharmeuse how small?

    • 1

myfashioninsider probably one cup size. I think I could do a 30dd or possibly a 28e.

    • 1

I keep eyeballing this one on Amazon since it's available in a nude-ish color. If it's similar to Jewel it's probably worth a shot for me

    • 1

Prettyncharmeuse if you have the chance, I think you could try 30E as well, since Marcie runs deeper than these CKs :)

    • lcl0706 you should! Florence even has a little bit more of apex projection :)

What a wonderfull bra. I love the shape and look of this bra. I would hope that it would fit me as a 38c

    Didn't fit

This bra is very cute in person. It has the look of denim and the pattern is not rough but rather textured, still softer though. The measurements for the wires are of the actual wire length because I can slide the wires in the bra to give me .75" of space at the gore or wings I'd I so choose. I moved them to give me space at the gore, which still didn't tack. I just ordered a size up, have others experienced this in this style because it's not very padded/semi soft. The band is very stretchy. I measure a 31 and bought a 30 band, it ... feels fine but for those who like a very tight band, size down in larger cups H+. I'd expect cups under H to have a truer band. I still get a good amount of quad on both my larger and smaller boob. I hope the 30J will give the 11.5" laying perm. even though my 90° is 14" because im semi soft. If it doesn't fit, I'm going to get over my camera shyness and do a fit request. The wires are medium/narrow which is what I am although I wouldn't mind them narrower, but perhaps not until I fix this severe t.migration in my armpits and back considering I was in a 34DD 😳. The wires I have to make sure I pull up all the way because of my high set bust, I wonder if it'll stay that way, but I still had quads so I still had to size up. The interior is comfortable even though the seams, seem like they would be uncomfortable. The cup height was not bad on my short roots, that might change in the J, plus I have center fullness. The replacement will be here Wed, I will let you all know then, hopefully no fit issues.

    Until then,

    Your fellow bratabasian (*˘︶˘*)

    Didn't fit

This bra is absolutely beautiful, but it does fit slightly differently from the Tease Me bra in the same size. Holding the cups of the two bras together to compare, it seems that the Thrill Me is wider and shallower than the Tease Me. Since I tend to fit into narrower, deeper cups better, this bra definitely flattens my profile a little, but it still fits relatively well and is quite comfortable. Those who fit well into shallow cups with wide underwires will probably absolutely love this bra and the shape it gives. I got this in the cobalt/fuschia color and it is very vibrant.

The band is very stretchy, so if you are on the border between band sizes, definitely take the smaller band. I've also found as a rule (for me anyway) that Curvy Kate tends to run one cup size small, relative to Freya, so I always size one up in the cup.

    Hasn't set fit

When I read that Curvy Kate's non wired swimsuits being actually supportive in large cups too, I had to give them a try. This one did not work out for me. But that doesn't mean it's bad. The print felt a bit too loud for me, size was a bit on the smaller side and I prefered the more coverage the 36J/JJ - Curvy Kate » Poolside Non Wired Plunge Swimsuit (CS010 gave me. The fabric on this suit is thinner than on the poolside, it's the normal Bikini fabric while the Poolside feels a bit thicker like on a sports swimsuit and therefore gives more ... support.

The swimsuit is nonwired with plunge neckline, the back is open so it looks like you wear a bikini from the back but gives you the coverage of a swimsuit on the front. It's very flattering to the figure. In the 34J/JJ the band felt a bit tight and there was some side boob going on. (I wear 32JJ-K usually) I recommend sizing up in band for sure and in cups depending on coverage you want. It's good if you have a long torso, I am 169cm / 5'6 for reference. Clothing size UK 16-18 / EU 44/46 / US 14/16.

I dithered for months about trying out the In My Dreams sleep bra, since the other Curvy Kate bralettes I tried were either too small ( 32J/JJ - Curvy Kate » Unwind Bralette (CK011110) ) or couldn't hold my breasts in ( 32J/JJ - Curvy Kate » Twice The Fun Reversible Bralette (CK0241 ). I finally took the plunge when I saw it was available on Her Room, and have been test-driving it since last night. It is SO comfortable, and even after all the tossing and turning I do at night, I didn't fall out or get quadboob. There is a soft strap inside each cup that is meant to keep breasts from falling out in the center. The straps didn't stay put after sleeping, so it looks a little weird, but it's better than having my breasts fall out. It has hooks and eyes in the back like a regular bra, so I didn't have to wrestle with it to get it on like the Twice the Fun bralette.

Great that it’s so comfortable, I’ve been looking into the CK bralettes myself for an unwired option when lounging. It’s nice that there are multiple options :)
