This is for the Latte colorway.

This is by far the best Curvy Kate I've ever tried (I've tried a lot, and they've all been varying degrees of abysmal on me).

The cups are very deep. I'm actually struggling to fill them - the stretch lace isn't really being pulled taut at all, even on my larger side.

The gore is wide, and distorts easily - fastening the band causes it to tilt to one side. It's not uncomfortable, and I'm super close set so high gores never lay flat on me anyway, but this feels sort of flimsy/cheaply designed.

The material is very soft. Combined with the deep cups, I'm getting ... essentially no lift in this bra. The shape is fairly round on my larger side, but my breasts are low set, so it's not all that flattering. Despite the fact that I measure around a 34HH, I'm going to try this in a cup size down and see what happens. I'm hoping less depth and filling up the upper cup more will result in a better shape.

The bra is very comfy. The wires are narrow, and not nearly as firm as Panache. The bottom elastic is quite thick, and so it fits firmer.

Probably the main reason I am reordering this bra is the color. The Latte is a few shades darker than the typical 'nude/beige' that most bra companies offer, and while it's not a great match, it's probably the closest I've gotten yet to finding a 'nude' bra for my skin color.

My shape is short and narrow rooted, soft, slightly pendulous, and low set.

I tried Ellace in 30E and found that I had quad boob on my bigger side. I felt a little stuffed into the 30E also, so I decided to try the 30F. Although this bra probably fits better, and I feel more comfortable in it, I now find that my smaller boob has a teensy bit of space under the lace and I don't feel as uplifted. I can't win. Being between sizes sucks. Because it's not as uplifting in this larger size, I don't like the shape as much... but in the right size I ... think it would create a half rounded and half teardrop appearance on me.

I love the mulberry colour of this bra, and the lace is very pretty. The band feels nice and snug. The lace is soft and comfortable and has an inner elastic bit along the upper section that makes it so that the lace doesn't gape. This bra is nice for short roots I think. Straps are fully adjustable and are long enough on my tall frame.

Overall great quality and very comfortable bra.

    • How was the stretch lace bubbling? Any better? Did the band feel the same? The mulberry is a lovely colour. It looks good on you but I feel like I can see which side has the gapping.

    • The stretch lace fit my larger side perfectly, but there was a bit of space under my smaller side. No bubbling in this size. I sorta thought this might happen (being between sizes)... The band was perfect for me since I like a snug band, but it only stretched to just past 28.7 with a pretty good stretch. This band measured the same size as the 30E I tried. I measure my bands as per the instructions, so clasp to eye. Both colours I tried were gorgeous, and the lace detailing is very pretty too. This 30F was quite a bit taller than the 30E too I noticed. I got 5.7 for cup height in the 30E but 6.3 in the 30F. So you may want to compare things like that if you're choosing between cup sizes, etc. I suggest you use the "compare this bra" feature and look at the measurement details for each bra, or go into the itemized measurement chart to see what people have measured for each size you're interested in buying. Good luck finding your fit.

    • I feel you.

I finally got my 28F Ellace and it is slightly too small in the cups. But a 28FF will be too big. Maybe the lace part on your 28E will loosen up a little over time and fit better. At least this happened to my 28F Panache Andorra that also felt a bit too small initially.

    • aboobaccount you're probably right that it would loosen up over time. I never thought of that. Unfortunately, I was running out of time to return it before it got too late so it's gone now. It's so frustrating being between sizes.

So far I find this the most comfortable of six bras purchased after a recent Bravissimo fitting most likely due to the three-hook fastening and relatively wide straps. Straps still dig in a little at shoulders and top of armpits where the straps meet the band - I may adjust further.
In terms of cup size/shape it is a fairly good fit to my larger breast with only slight gathering at the outer cup and very minimal cut in across the top edge when I swoop and scoop. With the smaller breast there is more noticeable gathering at the top of the cup where it meets the strap.
Aesthetically this looks nice and gives a nice rounded shape under a tight t-shirt.
May update after I have worn this bra longer.

  5. This was recommended to me for a nice rounded silhouette. Looking at the measurements, the cups seem to run a bit large compared to Florence (my usual go-to) and with the stretchy lace, I ordered a size down and it's a great fit. There's lots of projection at the wire. The band is a little stretchy, but over all a very comfortable bra.

This is my first Curvy Kate bra. I was hoping for a great fit after many reviews that Ellace is good for narrow roots. This particular bra's cups, though, are too small for me. I like the way the band fits and like the way the bra looks. The gore is too short for me (very soft tissue). I have in-bra quad where the lace starts and also top edge quad where the lace is too snug (or too short for my breasts). I do like the bra so may try it in one cup larger (if the gore is taller in that cup size).

This is a very good bra for breasts with lots of immediate projection, and it works for my slightly FOB, narrow-rooted breasts. The wires do not dig into my armpits, and it seems pretty true to size. However, the stretch lace is very, very soft and stretchy, to the point where it gives me in-cup quad-boob at the seam between the power mesh and the stretch lace. This is not a good bra for soft breasts. On me, the fit is almost identical to the 34J I tried on, but the 34JJ is both a) slightly more comfortable and b) has worse in-cup quadding.

    Fits

I have tuberous boobs with super short and average-to-wide roots. Ellace fits me very well, nearly as well as Florence (which is my holy grail). The placement of the straps feels a bit wider than Florence, so the straps rub against my tail of spence sometimes, but most of the time it isn't an issue. The material feels a bit stiffer than Florence, so it's just a tiny bit less comfortable to wear, but it's still one of the best bras I've ever tried.

I now have this bra in both the latte and indigo colorways, and the indigo is particularly gorgeous (and my inner geek ... is extremely amused that I now own a TARDIS-colored bra). When I recieved the latte bra, the fabric pooched out on the outsides of both cups, just inside the wire. This was present whether or not I was wearing the bra so I suspect a manufacturing error rather than a fit problem. The indigo Ellace did not have this. Very strange, but five minutes with a needle and thread fixed the problem and the bra remains one of my go-tos!

I tried this bra in a 32K 32JJ and 34JJ and they all did not fit well at all. It was a comfy pretty bra but the wire was WAY too wide and I did not feel supported in the bra at all.
