I really, really wanted this bra to fit because I've heard it would be perfect for my short rooted, FOB projected shape. Unfortunately it is more suited to narrow to average roots, at least in this size range, as the wires dig into my breast tissue - I have wide roots. I may be too short rooted even for this bra as there is still some wrinkling at the top of the cup. I will try sizing down one size in case it too big overall. There was some strange wrinkling on the outsides of the cups too, so that might be the case. It's not very secure either, there is a lot of movement and jiggling, even when walking. I don't know if this will be helped much by going down a cup size, I don't feel very supported or strapped in at all. It's a very pretty, sexy bra, but that doesn't matter too much if it doesn't function as a bra should.

    • Is it digging in to your breasts on the sides or in the center? I ask only because I''m wondering if you're center full rather than wide rooted if you're getting wrinkling on the outsides of the cup, which can sometimes mean you're not filling it out all the way.

    • It digs in on the sides. Or, not so much digging in, but the wires just aren't wide enough. Where they come up on the outsides, the wires sit on breast tissue. I have short but wide roots, like squashed ovals. There is actually not a lot of tissue at my roots, more like loose, empty skin, and maybe some migrated breast tissue under my arms. Like grapefruits in socks when I'm unsupported. Gravity has not been my friend. In a well fitting bra, I lose 1 1/2 - 2 inches of length/ projection at the top, and my boobs basically go straight out. Hence, very short roots, I think.
I am close set towards the middle, so sometimes my tissue is a little squished in the centre at the top. Close set at the top, but splayed, so gores that are narrow at the top and get wide at the bottom, like Elomi Carmen suit me best. I did try this in a FF but it didn't work either. Even though the shape was almost spot on, turns out that when my boobs have adequate projection and no extra coverage on top with too tall cups, they don't have anywhere near enough support :(

Ah, okay. That makes sense! It seems like we may have pretty similar measurements, though I've not been able to find an Elomi I like yet.

    • I quite like the plunges personally. I've got Carmen and Anushka and I really like them. I could do with a bit more projection at the wire, and there is some strap gap, but beyond that they fit pretty well. The Carmen has elastic along the top of the cups to keep them nicely closed off. I've actually been having a chat with someone else in a similar size to us on her review of the Matilda. You might want to check it out.

I have a really hard time finding bras that are deep enough at the wire. It's my main problem at this point. I've got a Wellfitting Demi in the mail that I have high hopes for.

Will check out the other discussion, thanks!

    • I hope the Wellfitting one works out for you. Fingers crossed.
