The straps on this bra are so short! I'm only 5'3" and I have them adjusted as long as they can go, and they're still incredibly tight. I thought they'd stretch out a little with a wear or two, but so far, they have not. I can't even wear the bra generally, because the straps are so tight that they cause nerve compression in my shoulder which leads to carpal tunnel pain.
Other than that, the band is nicely snug and the cups are suitably shallow for me. The straps are placed way too far out to the sides though.
I love this bra! I find the fit of the Minnie fairly close to that of the Zia, in that both of them have a little bit of extra mesh lace at the top outside edge of the cup close to the strap, but are okay closer to the gore and in the rest of the cup (whereas the Marcie is just perfect everywhere). The Ellis was just a gappy disaster, possibly because it has a thicker, less-forgiving material at the top. I guess I would say the Minnie seems between my Zia and Marcie in how much space there is in the top lace part of the cup.
This bra is excellent! It is probably too shallow in the bottom for me, but I like that because it gives me very nice cleavage, particularly because the Deco doesn't work for me. The band is firm enough to keep my breasts from forcing it down. The wires are too wide, not any wider than some other too-wide bras I comfortably wear, but they happen to be shaped to hit one of my ribs that sticks out a bit more on the side and sometimes make it sore. This is right where the band connects to the cup on the bottom outside, which I suspect plays a role in that particular location hurting sometimes.
The best fitting of the Cleo Jude & Cleo Neve Plunge...still not perfect, but ok. The Curvy Kate Daily Boost was a more flattering and comfortable shape of the 3.
The band is comfortable and the cups, in theory, fit, but the shape is weird on me. It is kind of snug on the side of the cup and pushes my boobs forward in a weird way that makes them look pointy. The top of the cup isn't quite full even those the side of the cup seems to small.
It fits well, gives a rounded appearance. The lace does not lie flat, as everybody knows by now. The straps are not fully adjustable, which is a bit uncomfortable for me as I have to get them to maximum length.
It fits, but the wires poke painfully into the sternum after longer periods of wear, and the wires are too short at the sides, so the breast tissue isn't contained in the cups perfectly.
I'm rating down on quality, because I think the wires should match the wire channels in length, but here the wires are 1cm shorter than the channels, and therefore too short for me.
technically fits, but feels tighter than comfortable and the straps just barely adjust long enough. Plus the scalloped lace on the top seems to gape when my shoulders aren't all the way straight-backed.
My experiences with the Cleo Lucy are mixed. The fit of the cups differs notably between colors! So one Lucy may fit you perfectly in a certain color, but even the same size of a different color won't.
I am balanced (neither FoT nor FoB), somewhere between shallow and projected, and have wide roots.
Here's my review for malibu blue:
The cup of the malibu blue Lucy is much more open on top than the neon and the white one. It's only cutting in ever-so-slightly. It's barely noticable. As a result, I can fill the cup better. There is less wrinkling near the apex.
The wires are wide enough for my breast root. Shouldn't be any narrower.
Too big in the band for me; I have to wear it on the smallest hook. But very comfortable and very good for my shape. I had to bend the wires out a bit because they poked my sternum, but I have to do this with most of my non-plunge bras.
I have mixed feelings about Juna. It gives a nice shape under clothing; uplifted, round. I have a hard time looking past the lace part at the top of the cups. It's way too open for me. Also, the high gore doesn't work well for my close set boobs. I don't know if a different size would work better, or if it's just not the best style for me.
this bra is the paisley print Alexa. It is so pretty. I got this NWT and I haven't worn it. It's really comfortable. I love the color and the print of this bra.
This has been my go-to nude bra since I began wearing smaller bands. My old, wrong size was 34A. I have tried Freya and @Panache but Cleos seem to be the only ones that generally work for me. Freya padded bras, in particular, are too deep for me. My breasts are shallow with a wide roots. I prefer wide bands and don't mind if the wires come up rather high under my arms. Widely-spaced straps, however, really irritate me since they tend to dig into my underarm area and need to be constantly adjusted.
The Juna fits OK. I do not fill out the tops of the ...cups, so the lace is usually wrinkled. The bottoms and sides are filled. The gore tacks. The band is tight, but not uncomfortably so. My body is still probably in the process of adjusting to tighter bands, so I have to fiddle this a couple times per day to make sure everything is where it should be. It does not help that the straps on this are wide-set. If I wear them perfectly straight, they would be in danger of sliding off my shoulders. They also really chafed my armpit chub the first month or so I wore this bra. It took a few washings before this one annoying little corner on the bottom of one strap softened up.
I'm fairly satisfied with the Juna, but it's by no means the ideal bra for me. The industrial beige color is fine with my skintone, but this bra is still visible beneath thinner knit shirts, particularly the top edge of the cups and the vertical seams. I have to wear an additional cami or thin tank over it if I want to wear a clingier shirt or dress. And since the wires/cups are rather wide and come up high in the wings, I cannot wear it beneath tanks or dresses with larger armholes.
This bra also feels a little oppressively massive sometimes, like I'm wearing beige armor beneath my clothes. I can imagine it will get uncomfortable when the weather gets hot and steamy. I will keep wearing it because I really don't have any other option, but I will keep looking for the perfect t-shirt/everyday padded bra. Read more 266 more words
Pretty blue bra - low cut so don't expect your whole breast to be covered. Fits nicely though - curves back in along top of breast without digging in. Could possibly do with a bit more lift. The underwires sometimes dig in if I spend too long slouching.
This is a pretty bra though the material it's made from is a bit odd - doesn't feel like the usual bra materials or softness.
This really doesn't fit and it's wrong in so many places I'm not sure what size I could even try. The band was tight and I'd read previous reviews about that so I'd already sized up from 28 to 30. The cups were way to small and squashing my breasts but the main issue was the short straps - they started at the front far too low down in the middle of my breast tissue. This just isn't the right shape for me at all.
I really like how comfortable this bra is under my arms. No chaffing! Yay! However, I do get a little quadboob in the cup from where the lace meets the fabric, which makes me sad. The bra makes my boobs look kinda small from the front, but very projected from the side. I don't mind this look, but it's something to consider.
