Bought a lovely dress that had weird elastic over the boobs, making it not fit. After taking the elastic out it fits perfectly! Hooray!

You should see a doctor about that bra addiction!
In all seriousness though, find something on sale and try a new brand, that's always fun ;)
I caaaaaaaan't. Every month's paycheck is a reason to celebrate with a new bra! :D

I just came in from the wildest excercise of my life. Honestly, I went to puke after 45 minutes... and I pride myself as one who can really take it hard... But this..
Anyway, I was doing jumping jacks, headstands, side flips, crawling on the floor and what not at 120bpm rate for 90 minutes.
My boobs never got in the way. ... I forgot I had them. I shit you not.
One of the girls placed hands on top of my boobs while I was jumping up and down and she was stunned when my boobs wouldn't budge!
I was wearing the Andorra under Enell because I like to be separated in the middle so it might have helped, but still - nothing moved and I felt like I had no boobs and no bra.
Yay!

Tell me exactly how you achieved that :| Are Andorra and Enell both sports bras?
No Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675) is a stretch lace bra with quite soft (by panache standards) wires that are stretchy and comfortable. Over it I was wearing Enell Sports (100) which is in my opinion the ugliest but also the best sports bra on the market.
It's not really a bra, it's a vest. And it's very comfortable.

Today I got a Curvy Kate Pebble Padded Bikini Top (CS6011). I love my Bondi Breeze so much, I even wear it in Summer as a bra! It' that supportive. I never had a Bikini that was supportive like a real bra. Anyway I wanted another one and since I like polka dots it had to be the ... Pebble from SS13 collection.
CK Bondi Breeze in 32J runs about 2 cups sizes big. That's why I thought I get the Pebble 32JJ this time since I'm paranoid of buying too small bras.
But big surprise! 32JJ Pebble is smaller on me than 32J Bondi!!! WTF?! Couldn't
they just stick to their sizing??? It's like I'm doomed to always buy the wrong bras / sizes!?
Also they changed the cut!!! Bondi has taller cups and more shallow. Pebble has deeper cups (depth were I don't really need it) and are lower, means cup edge cuts into my boobs - where Bondi just "covers" them and does not cut in! Also the wings are much lower on Pebble!
I want the old cut back!!! > Now I have to pay return postage to UK and exchange postage too since it's an Ebay purchase. If someone is interested in buying the 32JJ from me, please message me until next monday.

That sucks! I hate sizing inconsistencies. :(
I'm considering getting a bondi breeze, but I'm not sure what size to get. I haven't tried Curvy Kate in a long time.
I made a comparison between Bondi Breeze in 32J and Pebble blue dot in 32JJ:
http://www.bratabase.com/compare/dhkig/
ashewyn Bondi Breeze runs about 1-2 cups big, it depends how you want your Bikinis to fit (more cleavage or more like a usual bra) but still I advice going down at least 1 cup from your usual size.
Band is rather tight. And beware - the matching briefs run big, don't size up!

I think I've missed what you mean by wide root and narrow boobs, could you explain? :)

I would like to buy a Tanzania stripe in 30DD from bravissimo, but I can't pay with my credit card. So I am asking if someone can buy it for me ? I will give your money back (the bra+shipping) via paypal. Thank you

Since I might do the same for alisa I could do this. I will have to send my exhange stuff in to get the exhange order so it might take longer however. You ok with that?
Hmm, I'm the other way: I've got credit cards, but don't have and don't want Paypal, which is a problem when I try to order from Comexim.

So, just to check, I compared the length of my EM Cappuccino in 60GG with the one in 60G. Turns out: the 60G band is longer! No wonder I already have to wear it on the tightest set of hooks already in this first week -_-.
I think next time I order something from them, I am just gonna give them the measurements that the bra should have myself -_-

Haha, good luck with that ;)
I started searching for bras online and realized that it can get really pricey and most sites does not carry for larger cups with smaller bands. A 32h is not easy to find! However, it is easier to find that size bra online than going to a department store. How funny! The other thing I've found is that if ... you do go to a department store to find a bra in that general size, you will have to go up a band size. The one place I found a suitable bra that was not cheaply made and that accomplished the job (weight off my shoulders and neck) was ...Dillards! Who would have thought!! JC Penny have very few.

This morning I went straight from Pilates to work, but I forgot to pack a bra with my change of clothes. I had on an old unwired sports bra which is 4 band sizes too big (cup volume is OK but obviously it doesn't tack) which I only wear for Pilates, so I had to go on wearing it all day.
I kept wanting to hold my boobs up with my hands, I kept having to pull the band down at the back, I was sweating under my boobs, and the proportions of my shirt looked completely wrong.
Ugh!

Sometimes life amuses me. I've been helping a friend get the first 'real bras' for her 14 year old daughter, and we went to the shops today to pick out some things for her to try out. I haven't had a chance to measure her yet, but we were getting bras around 32B/C and 30C/D, which I suspect is about ... her correct size (and if it's not and we have to get super difficult to find 28 band bras, I'll have to cross that bridge when I get there).
Anyway, we were looking at some bras in Trade Secret, and my friend asked for bras around the sizes that I mentioned. The shop assistant asked 'Oh, is it for your daughter?' and looked at me and smiled, as though I was the person we were shopping for. I laughed and pointed at my breasts. She then looked down and back up a few times and did a total double take.
I don't think that anyone has ever thought that I would need a 32B before. I had larger breasts (and a far smaller back but I didn't know any better at the time), than that when I went for my first 'real bra'. I've decided to take it as an odd compliment.

Apparently I have a Braologie Posture-Contour Casual Bra and a Posture-Contour Mini Vest on the way. As far as I understood, this bra is a new product and Braologie is kindly sending me a sample. Braologie is almost everything I personally do not usually look for in a bra (except for the wonderfully high back), but we'll see. It's not ... as if I have that much luck with what I DO look for in a bra ...
I also have a Tutti Rouge Betty coming, just because I had a Bravissimo exchange order possibility (sadly, I decided to return the Cleo Juna -- beautiful bra, great fit, but on me a real torture device). The size I ordered for the Betty is a pure gamble as there haven't been any reviews yet remotely in my size range. So, smaller chested ladies, sit tight: here comes your chance to learn whether this bra might be for you!

Please let us know about that Braologie bra. I've been tempted by it (and the Orlinas brand here in US), but I can't get over the appearance of their models' squished boobs smashing into each other. I have a NoeMie bra that is shaped a lot like the Braologie (from what I can see on pictures...my bra has a high back and sides and 4 part cups), but it doesn't squish and smush. I really like the wide band, but this bra is HEAVY and thick. If I tried to wear it during these Phoenix summer days I'm pretty sure I'd lose consciousness. I really do want to explore "posture" bras, however, because I have rounded shoulders, and I tend to slouch...
ShaniSunAZ : I definitely will post my experiences here on Bratabase :) I have mixed feelings as to how it will fit me, but who knows. I'm a curious creature so if only to get a close look at the construction of their bras I am all in for it. They're actually also sending me one of their posture correcting mini-vests that I have been curious about. Not that my posture needs that much correcting, but again, it's the concept that intrigues me ;)
As to wearing padded bras in the summer heat, ugh, I know what you mean ... I have been dying for an airy, lacy, unpadded thing, but no luck so far. At this smaller end of the bra size range unpadded pickings are rather slim to start with and none of the ones I did find so far have actually worked for me :(

How is this different? I've been perusing the Jockey website in order to gather information about their "revolutionary" new sizing method I keep hearing and reading about. After watching the "proper fitting" video I felt like I was about to scream. The "expert" places a moulded cup over a plastic manikin's boob, and then she declares "absolute" ... cup size based on how her mould fits on an immobile object. There's no scooping or swooping and not even a mention of armpit "boobs" or back fat! The reason I wore the wrong bra size for years is that I tried to fit into available cup sizes that happened to be attached to a band that didn't fall off my body.
I don't "get" how an accurate cup size could be measured WITHOUT taking the band into account. And I REALLY don't get how an accurate cup size could be determined by placing a pre-formed cup on top of breast projection only, without taking into account all the tissue that falls to the sides, and the band's role in shaping and supporting that tissue. Without "scooping" the difference for me is 3 cup sizes in "front"! It seems like this new sizing is suspiciously similar to the sizing that's been driving me nuts for half my life.
Also - Jockey's smallest band is 30...Based on what I see here at Bratabase, a major problem we have with how bras fit is their limited number of band size offerings in relation to their cup size offerings. Maybe I don't really understand the concepts behind Jockey's sizing. I read the patents, and I looked at their diagrams, but in the end all I see are band sizes in 30-42, and 10 different cup options (i.e. "A-J" with numbers instead of letters). If I were to fit into a cup size 5 with a 30 band, it's likely the bra still would not fit me properly if I need a 28 band...right?
In the pictures these bras appear to be very "short sided". No matter how well the cups fit on the front of me, without additional support I don't think there's any way my boobs would stay in those cups (which look like a bad shape for me anyways).
Am I being a pessimistic sourpuss? Am I missing something?

Do I understand correctly? They have band sizes 30-42 and 10 different cup size options which are totally separate from the band size?
Oh how that kind of a system would be more simple than what we have, but surely it doesn´t work. Different people need different cups what comes to cup width, tallness and depth + shape. This doesn´t take into account one´s overall size at all (wide ribcage = wider cups etc)!
So their solution to finding the correct bras is that they limit the size range!! Oh my :O
If I've got this right, what they're doing is a bit like how sister sizing works - a 28FF cup is the same size as a 30F, a 32E, a 34DD, a 36D and so on. (This probably isn't the best way to grade bra sizes, because it doesn't reflect how shape and proportions change from 28FF to 36D and beyond, but it happens anyway.) So if you assign all those sister sizes a single number, then it probably is possible to work out the cup and band independently, and your cup number would be the same regardless of which band you wore. Re. the size range, if they do offer 10 cup options in every band from 30 to 42, that's a total of 70 different sizes, which is not too bad.
I'm not defending the system, though, because measuring cup size using a moulded cup that isn't attached to a bra sounds dubiously effective. I'm also suspicious of anything that claims to be a revolutionary new way of fitting, and I hope they can acknowledge that no system will ever fit everyone.

YES. Short Boobs over here has found a nearly perfect fit - Huit Lilies and Poppies, 30D I am almost positive I'll have to alter the band but it's a small price to pay for CUPS THAT ACTUALLY FIT! Will add measurements and a review once I've worn it a few times.

What does it mean when, by the end of the day, your sw/cooped boobs settled down in a bra and left a huge gap on top? Could it be it's the wrong shape, or too loose band?
My 28G Deco does this. I sw/coop, my boobs fill them up nicely. At the end of the day after taking my clothes off, they gapes like I need to size down a cup! Granted, I need to tighten the band because they're too loose, but, is there any other explanation for this?

Mine do the opposite - I have to aim for smallish in the a.m. so they'll still fit by 3p.m. Then again, I retain water like a water retaining thing, and my bands need to be really firm to prevent escapes.
For me that tended to be a combo of band not tight enough, wires not wide enough. They would kind of ooze out of the cup over the course of the day.

I was checking the listings and found some new Comexim bras - cbear is selling two in 70j. Did anybody noticed how narrow the cups are? Only 14cm for a cup with depth of 30cm. I need cups with similar depth but there is no way I could squeeze my boob into 14cm.

Yup I was like "oh dear" :D And I also love how it gives those needing narrow wires an option :)

I don't have very many followers, so this may be a stretch, but does anyone have a 65H Ewa Michalak CH or PL that I could borrow? I'd pay shipping both ways, but I want to be able to compare my "calculator size" with the size that I currently wear in their bras (60K).

I hadn't been to a Victoria's Secret in quite a while... I am now a 36DDD in their sizes. I was really surprised because I used to think that their bras were super fancy and now I think they're quite cheap feeling for how expensive they are...

After all the cool posts about Avocado bras, I went ahead and ordered two with the matching bottoms. The price was reasonable, the shipping tolerable. However, the only way to pay is bank transfer with Zlotys. Today I saw a $40 wire transfer charge on my account. Looks like I'll have to live with Paypal from here on out...

$40 wire transfer fee?!!! That's practically enough for a new bra! Thanks for the warning.
Just to clarify, it was from my bank, not Avocado. Unfortunately, there was a fee from their bank as well, so I couldn't get my original order and had to go with plan B.

Today I wore my Panache Porcelain under a very tight T-shirt and I really liked the rounded lift it gave me. All other T-shirt bras make me look saggy. The Porcelain is a weird fit, and sometimes it seems like it's too small, or something, but I've gotta give it high marks for looking good under my shirts. ... I've worn this bra many times, but never under a shirt this tight, and I've always liked the rounded "perky" illusion it creates. I do have "quad-boob" at certain angles but considering how nicely "front and center" it makes me look, I will continue to buy this style when this bra eventually poops out.
I had a mammogram a couple of weeks ago and today the imaging center called and asked me to come in for further tests. So I'm freaked out, a little. I know it's not time to really worry yet, but I'm the kind of worrier who worries about how much I worry.
So I'm irritated with my boobs right now, but I'm so glad I'm finding flattering bra styles.

I'm envious of your tight tshirt bra. :) I have yet to find one that fits my size/shape well AND works under tight shirts.
Hope everything goes well with your tests. I can imagine how unnerving it must be. Thinking good thoughts for you!
Also sending you good wishes for the tests. Hoping it's a problem with a blurry Xray
I have done the same with a bikini !
Great idea! I have a dress that has the same thing, but I never thought about removing the elastic. I think I'll try it now -- thanks!
