Ever since finding out I was wearing a too small bra, I have been craving a nice plunge bra to wear as I had several in my too small size. Sadly, finding them in a 38GG can be rather tricky. So, when I found this bra I was excited!
First off, it's a very nice bra too look at, though nothing fancy, and comfortable on.
The straps only adjust on half the strap, which while slightly annoying, wasn't a big deal. I was able to have them at a comfortable length.
The band was nice and firm, but comfortable. It felt very good on.
I found myself ...feeling a bit odd about the cups. When I first put it on and scooped the ladies in, I thought it fit with just the slightest bit of gaping. However, after having it on for a little while, my breasts settled in, and the cups started to buckle and wrinkle like nobody's business. It still looked nice under shirts and the like, but just looking at the bra on me showed it clearly was too large. Which, I have to say, was odd to me, considering every other 38GG I've tried has fit quite nicely.
So, I returned this bra and have requested a size 38G in exchange. We'll see how that goes.
This bra is still lovely, and I would recommend it. Read more 124 more words
This bra is probably the best fitting of the ones I have tried. But, it is still very problematic for me. I have a short root. The gore length is basically the length of my breast root. The band is too tight and causes the underwire to spread and dig in to my ribs. I sound like a broken record. I have wrinkling in the sides and top. The underwire also digs under my armpit. It's a really nice nude. Side support isn't what I prefer, it definitely goes out to the side. When I first tried it, I thought it gave me a pointy odd look, but trying it again today it does more look rounded, but I still think I need more bottom projection. I think if you have short roots, this might not be for you.
This is a beautiful bra. The praline color is a warm taupe with lighter colored lace. I love Panache straps; they have 0 stretch and are lined with a felt-like fabric that keeps them up and still feels soft. Panache does have strong wires, in general, but I think 38GG - Panache » Clara Full Cup Bra (7255) is less firm than some others (Envy), and by comparison, the gore is of moderate height and width. The problem lies with the apex projection. This bra has good immediate projection, but then flattens slightly as it moves up the cup. This results in my breasts forcing the cup outward which makes the band feel too loose and distorts the wire, making it stab painfully into my side. Almost, but not quite a good fit.
I really wanted this to work - perhaps if I sister sized into 36H it would be a little better, but I don't think so as there are too many 'no' ticks. I'm quite FOT, but my breast tissue is very soft so I don't fill this out in the cups. It wrinkles a little, although the lace fabric is quite forgiving if it does fit as it's fairly stretchy and would, I think, lie flush against the breast. The wires are too wide for me, as you can see in the pics on my underarm red mark after a full day's wearing. The gore separation is too much for my close-set breasts too. It's quite similar to Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) and gives a fairly rounded shape, although not as rounded as my 38GG - Cleo » Marcie (6831).
Pluses: + lace pattern & color are pretty + cups fit well + fabric is stretchy, but good support
Minuses: - lace and band underneath underwire folds upward and digs into skin - center gore underwire is very high and leaves marks in between my breasts - underwire is high in the underarm area and pokes or rubs skin
The fabric is a irritating on my skin, and the wires on the side are a bit uncomfortable for me. It's pretty, sure, and it's wearable, but I wouldn't say it really fits on me.
This bra is engineered! I say that as a compliment and a warning. The wires are extremely firm, the gore tacks aggressively, feels quite tall, and a bit on the wide side. I think this works well for moderate immediate projection and has some room on top for fullness, but if your breasts sit close together or are very full at the center, it may be uncomfortable. After a day of wear, I find I have to move the center of my breasts away from the gore to keep them from being crushed. Still, this provides a great round, forward shape, and feels very secure. I probably won't order 38GG - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) again, but it is certainly a good, functional option, maybe just a slight shape mismatch.
The heather colored Andorra is lovely in appearance, lilac with silvery swirls. The lace is gorgeous and seems surprising supportive with more give in the top of the cup to stretch for upper fullness. The cups were too big, so it's going back.
I can't really give a good review for this bra. I thought I was ordering a UK 38J, but what I got was a US 38J. So needless to say, this bra is way too small for me. I can't wait to try one in my size.
Though it says it's a balconette on the website, the tag says Full Cup. I got the black one. I have a short root, and the gore was too tall for me. It tacked as close as it could and I had a nice rounded shape. Because the gore was so tall, I couldn't quite fill out the top of the cup. The band was stretchier than I thought it was going to be, I could easily fit my whole hand under the band. The bra itself was pretty comfy, and it is beautifully made. I also really like the fact that the
The black Idina Plunges fit a bit differently than the latte. I've owned four different sizes and the black stretches differently than the latte. This makes the black feel very different from the latte. They stretch at different rates, so two Idina plunges of the same age, worn the same number of times will stretch differently.
The Idina Plunge is more coverage when you move from G to GG cups. Unfortunately, the height and coverage moved me down to a 36H (which isn't a perfect fit, but works with an extender).
It gives me a great shape, but the wires are too wide, and the gore is a little too wide for my breasts. My breasts are very high on my chest and the wires dig deeply into my armpits.
The cups in this beauty ran really shallow, so it didn't fit me at all. The band felt snug and true to size for a 38 band on my 37" ribs. It's very beautiful and would do great for someone with wider, shallower breasts. I'm going to try it again in the 38HH, because damn is it beautiful and comfy.
Pros - excellently constructed, and no breast tissue migration. Stays in its place all day. Cons - a little too high in the central gore for my liking, and the underwire is too long...this digs almost into my armpits. This is a major issue for me unfortunately, as it hurts at the end of the day https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra was too small, despite ordering the right size based on my breast measurements. It was a very comfortable bra but a little too stretchy in the band and the straps left a lot to be desired (thin and they consistently folded in half and dug into my shoulders). Within a couple weeks the band was already too big as I continued to lose weight.
It's a gorgeous bra - but given the delicate lace, you will want to get a firm fit to ensure proper support.
I love this bra! The smooth cups are great for wearing underneath tshirts or thin tops, and it's always been comfortable for all-day wear.
The fit is great, it runs true-to-size, and it doesn't pinch or gap anywhere. I would highly recommend this bra. This is the only bra I've ever owned that gives great support but is also invisible under clothing.
ugg, who did that to you?!
