I lost a lot of weight recently, so this was just too big. The band definitely runs big, so I would go down a band and up a cup. I think the cup may run slightly big. It gives a reallly great smooth lovely round shape under tops, probably the best of any bra I've tried. I also got this in 30GG which I will review, and talk more about the straps and comfort on that one.
This appears to be basically the same shape as the Tango II Balconette, but in a softer, more flexible fabric. As such, it is shallow, very closed in the upper part of the cup, and totally incompatible with my breasts.
For some reason I really like the Andorra, although it is relatively plain. The lace feels soft, and the colors are gently muted. The raised gore gives a visual impression of upward lift and makes my torso appear more delicate. I get a lovely lifted shape, not quite green but a more natural looking perky. The extra side panel pushes the breasts away from my armpits and makes it comfortable (at least in the short term). I love how my breasts look in this bra, and I'm not normally a fan of off-white colors (the color is "pearl").
That said, the Andorra will never ...work for me, although I am tempted to keep it. There simply isn't enough projection in the bottom of the cup to fit my breasts. I get wrinkles in the bottom of the cups and over time I think this would destroy the cup.
The straps are not fully adjustable, which could be a problem for me as well, but this is because there is extra padding on the shoulders. I'm not sure if it is needed, but the fabric they used feels soft, which makes it feel like a more luxurious bra.
Another thing I dislike about this bra is that Panache has made this only a two hook bra in a FF cup. I really feel that certainly by a F cup a bra benefits from having a more stable band with more hooks.
The band was somewhat tight as I had to go up a size from the larger of my two typical band measurements, but I was able to fasten it on the second hook. I would probably have done better with a 36G and an extender. Read more 183 more words
Why did I buy this bra? That's the question I'm asking myself while wearing it for the third time. I must admit I only bought it because I needed more bras that kind of fit, and I wasn't sold on it from the start. The lace gapes for me because there's no elastic to hold it in place (it might work better for someone fuller on top) and I think it's ugly (I've got the blue version with garish flowers on it). But other bras I wasn't initially keen on have won me over, like the Ewa Michalak CHP Kurkzak. Instead, this is ...turning out to be another Fantasie Belle, a bra that I didn't like from the start and that I came to like less and less over time.
The shape it gives me is somewhat in the blue zone, but at least it isn't east-west. I think this is largely due to the fact that the straps aren't shortened enough. I'd like to shorten the straps more, but they are only half adjustable. This bra was designed to have only half-adjustable straps by some sadistic person with a pathological hatred of short people. The straps aren't half adjustable to fit an aesthetic like delicate embroidery or different fabric in the front, nor are they limited due to engineering like the too-narrow straps widening over the shoulders. The front of the straps has exactly the same fabric as the back, except that they've sewn an extra strip of fabric on the inside of the straps in the front to prevent adjustment. One could argue it is to prevent the straps from stretching too much, but if they made the straps wider or used a less stretchy fabric they could have solved the issue in a much better way. Had I noticed the straps were only half-adjustable, I probably wouldn't have bought the bra, but by using the same fabric all the way the bra hid this horrible flaw from me until after we'd entered into a relationship.
Shall I discuss how I loathe the fact that Panache seems to think that a G cup doesn't require more than two hooks? I should have gotten a 34GG instead of a 36G, because then I wouldn't already be using the second hook and I'd have more support. I can't think of any reason why I should be on the second hook on the third wear, except that such a slender band is bound to stretch out quickly.
All in all, I think this bra is cheaply made and it shows. The only thing I like about it is that the cups are initially deep enough for me. But who is this bra aimed at? There's a lot of space on the bottom for full on bottom breasts, but the lace without elastic makes it seem like it is aimed for full on the top. I have no idea who this bra was for, but it's not for me.
Still, it seems to have its fans. Read more 409 more words
Tight 34band (but not too tight, so it's all good!) I feel like it could give a really great shape on me, if it was just a cup size larger! And I really like the style, simple lace, not completely sheer, but not quite opaque - and not just on the cups, band too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Well, I had high hopes for this bra. I'd seen it on others with full on the top breasts and thought it could work for me. Needless to say, I did not buy the right size. I actually went up a cup from the other bras I own because they are not fitting correctly either and this bra actually fit smaller than the bras I already have. I was kinda shocked because I kept falling out of the side when I expected to keep falling out of the front and the wires either didn't go back far enough or were too short since I kept getting poked on ...the sides as well. The straps fell down constantly even tightened as far as they would go and the band kept rolling on itself, while the center gore left wire impressions on my chest. The stretchy lace is nice since I have such a big difference between my individual breast size but it also gave me less support than I was expecting. I think once I find my one true size finally, I will revisit this bra. Read more 78 more words
i'm not a fan of stretchy lace, that's the most common type of bra in my country and i'm so glad i can buy mesh bras online now. maybe you'll like curvy kates, they're mesh and very supportive. you can find them on eBay, new and cheap (15-25 dollars)
This bra just gives me such a strange shape. I feel it has to do with the seam pattern and my breast shape. The 28DD is too small, and the 28E is a significant improvement but still just not right for me.
This bra just gives me such a strange shape. I feel it has to do with the seam pattern and my breast shape. The 28DD is too small, and the 28E is a significant improvement but still just not right for me.
I ordered this bra simultaneously with the 32D to compare sizes. This 32DD is way too big on me though.
Bra description:
A plain bra with smooth, moulded cups made out of the thinnest and most pliable foam I've encountered so far (not counting spacer knit). The foam on the inside of the cups is fused to comfortable cotton jersey, the outside of the cups has a smooth, slightly shiny, knit overlay that reminds me a bit of swimwear lycra. The wings are also made out of a 'swimwear' lycra-like material and very stretchy. The straps are only partly adjustable. The non-adjustable part of the straps and the top edge ...of the wings are made out of a continuous strip of elastic encased within a folded under strip of the same 'swimwear' lycra-like material. The adjustable part of the straps are made of wide, ordinary strap elastic. All findings on this bra, including the hooks and eyes, are black. There are no decorative elements whatsoever.
Bra fit:
As said, this bra is the oddest fit I've encountered so far. Needless to say it doesn't fit AT ALL, but apart from the fact that in this size the cups are clearly too big for me, the why is more mysterious. The wires are the perfect width, the band is true-to-size and very very comfortable (it's very stretchy but simultaneously nice and firm), but the cup shape ... oh, the shape! I've had this problem with almost every bra I've tried this far, but this bra hands down is the worst: for some reason the cups close in on my chest like crazy, 'biting' into my breast tissue as if they want to cut of circulation and creating the oddest shape ever. Even though I don't fill the cups by any stretch of the imagination, the cup edges are so tight that it almost hurts.
Conclusion:
I don't know what's going on with this bra. Size-wise it is obviously too big off, but even in the smaller size shape-wise it's such a complete mismatch it makes me want to scream. It's a shame as it's quite a nice, basic bra -- boring perhaps, but the super-thin foam and cotton lining would have made it a comfortable everyday option. Read more 263 more words
This bra is made of stretch lace and was really comfortable. Unfortunately the stretch lace somewhat disguised how small this bra actually was for me, and the inappropriate size made it fit funny in other ways.
I got quite a lot of east-west in this bra, and the gore was not as low as I would have expected from a plunge. Admittedly I have a quite high chest so any gore at all feels higher than a plunge should be.
All around it didn't look terrible, and the color was nice despite pink not being my thing, but it was not a great fit for my shape and ...size. Someone with less side-boob and taller breasts/more upper fullness would rock this bra really well if it came in their size.
Unlike most other plunges, I think this one actually works quite well on breasts with softer tissue that normally falls into the center of plunge style bras. The stretch lace seemed to sort of prevent that by grabbing my boobs and gently pulling me outward. Since my boobs were so much bigger than the bra was designed for, though, my boobs got pulled a little too far outward for my taste.
The underwires were nice and wide like I would expect from Panache, but didn't come up as high as most other Panache Superbra models. This was great for me since my chest is so high; normally I would be stabbed in the armpit by a Panache bra in this size.
If you normally can't wear plunges because your tissue is soft, or because you're super full on top and normally get quad boob, the stretch lace on this bra is awesome. Read more 172 more words
This bra is much prettier up close than I expected it to be based on photos I had seen online. The pattern is embroidered on the top of the cup rather than just printed, and the thread has a slight sheen to it that really gives the fabric dimension and makes the orange pop.
I was in between sizes for this bra, I think due to my wide root. The top of the cup felt a little bit loose while everything else fit fine, including the wires. The cups have a very straight balconette cut decorated with scalloped edges, while straps attached on the traditional outer edge. I ...have narrow shoulders and didn't have trouble with the straps falling down, and also found that the straps were still wide set enough that the tops of the cups didn't peek out beneath my shirt where the straps attached. Best of both worlds on that front.
The band was quite firm, which I loved, and the gore tacked well without digging in.
There was some bunching of the outer fabric on the top of the cup where there may have been a manufacturing defect; basically the embroidered layer has a little wrinkle to it instead of being sewn totally flat to the cup material.
This bra doesn't have an inner side sling, nor does the seam pattern have one of those lifting panels that's basically a side sling incorporated into the cup design. Despite this, I think it did way better for my shape than many bras which do have those features. The lift was good, and I had very little east-west happening.
All around the bra was really comfortable, quite pretty, and supportive. Unfortunately it needs somebody with breasts that are slightly fuller on top than mine, I think! Read more 186 more words
I did not fill the bottom of the cups correctly and the top of the cups cut into tissue. Also did not like the elasticity of the straps, or the shape of the cups.
This bra is my favorite bra NOW but I literally had to break it in. When I first got it the band was a smidge too tight and the wires poked my underarms. BUT the gore tacked and the gore never tacks on me as I have very close breasts. I toughed it out and I'm glad I did. Now that the band has stretched out (it stretches to 39" now), it fits great and I have zero issues with the wires digging into my underarms as the bra seems to mould to your body shape the more you wear it. It reminds me a lot of how raw denim works. You gotta break that sucker in! Highly recommend it if you have close together, firm, full on the bottom, wide rooted breasts and patience.
I also really like how the straps are thin and it has only two clasps in the back so you can wear it under tank tops and flimsy dresses without looking like you're wearing a BRA.
Snagged this for $10 at my local Nordstrom Rack and I love it already. It feels a little tight, I May have to wear an extender for the first few months but I'm okay with that. It's gorgeous and the gore is low enough for me.
Edit: Wore for a full day with an extender and it would have been perfect if the underwire wasn't poking my armpits. I got really sore and there were red marks the next two days, I had to wear lower unferwires so it wouldn't hurt while healing :/ no broken skin, just red and sore.
I got this bra (Panache Harmony, black, size 28E) after buying it in black in 28DD and then finding it to be too small in the cup. This size fits perfectly, along with my other Harmony bra in size 28DD in nude.
The only difference is that the 28E has slightly longer wires than the 28DD, but I had no problems with poking or excess fabric on the sides. There was no weird flattening along the bottom of the cups, or wrinkles along the sides, or quadboobing, so I'm happyhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Got the size 28DD Panache Harmony balconette in black, because the 28DD in nude fit so well. However, the bottom of the cups on the black version are much shallower, resulting in some quadboobing on my bigger breast, and a very odd looking flattening/tightness across the bottom of my smaller breast. Another clue was the way the gore lifted ever so slightly away from my chest (only noticeable when compared to my other bras that do fit well).
Further proof: a few weeks after I bought this bra, I bought another black one in a 28E, which fit perfectly.
