Shape: round, projected, even, close set, on the narrow end of average root width.
Well, nuts. This bra is stupidly pretty. The delicate, stretch lace and the slightly shimmery peach-toned cream fabric is gorgeous, classy, and sexy as hell. The problem is that it doesn't fit.
Fit issues: 1) Band too stretchy for me in a 30E. It doesn't go down to a 28F, so I'm stuck fastening on the second and tightest hooks for best fit. 2) This is a somewhat shallow bra. Not enough immediate projection (check the fit pictures, tons of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup), and I definitely have more upper fullness than the bra ...is expecting. I get a tiny bit of quadding on my larger side. 3) Gore is too tall and awkwardly separates my very close set breasts; it soft tacks to breast tissue, not my sternum.
Also, I'm a bit concerned about the longevity of the stretch lace on the top of the cup. Some parts of the lace weave have little holes in them which I suspect could get larger over time if the fabric is ever snagged. It looks, and probably is, more delicate than other stretch lace I've encountered.
So, all that said, I am totally going to overlook the fit problems. I know, I know. The fabric and lace, in addition to looking flat out amazing, are very soft and comfortable. At least with this particular bra, the fit issues are not complete deal breakers for the trade-off in looks and comfort. It's not my best fitting bra, but if I want to feel comfortable AND look elegant, I will reach for the Clara. Read more 164 more words
I want to love this bra so bad, because it's absolutely gorgeous and the shape it provide with clothes (sweater and button-up shirts--this is def not a t-shirt bra) is pretty good. However, the cup shape is all wrong for me. The wires are too wide, so the fit of the cup is all wrong. Otherwise, I would say this fits like a standard Panache 32H.
I have the Clara in the wrong size, but I really think it could be a great fit for a lot of women. Its true to size, deeper than Andorra, less deep than Jasmine, and none of the pointyness of either. The wires are narrower like the Jasmine, and like Andorra it has a side support sling. I get wrinkles in the bottom of the cup, which seems to be a common complaint, but I really dont think its a projection issue. I think the wrinkles come from the very firm side sling that lifts the breast so much that it actually prevents tissue from reaching the bottom of the cup, causing the fabric to not lay taut at the wire base.
I'm definitely reordering this in the right size when the gold/black version comes out!
I got this bra from a lovely btb member https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The band is altered, so keep this in mind when looking at the measurements!
In terms of fit: Altered band is perfect, but the cup is too small for at least one cup! The wires are pushed down a lot and my nipples are both at the edge of popping out and I get some incup quadding when wearing without the cotton pads. I placed them centered over my nipples, so you can see.. they are not where they are supposed to be in a full cup bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> I am planning on trying this bra a size up, as it's soo beautiful and the material is just soo soft and perfect! <3
I tried this in 30DD first, but the wires at on the sides of my breasts and the gore was not flat. The E cup seems to work better, although there are a few tiny wrinkles. Ideally I'd have a slightly smaller cup volume and a much lower gore. I'm keeping it because I haven't found an unlined bra yet that fits this well. Also, it's a beautiful bra and it makes my breasts look good.
My current favorite. Center tacks, high side wings, wide wires and a nice rounded profile. Fits *almost* perfectly on my projected, narrow set, FoB, tall/wide roots with sloped shoulders. I say *almost* as its not quite projected enough at the wire so there is a bit of wrinkling there. However, its not noticeable under clothing nor is it uncomfortable - I'll take what I can get. As with most Panache bras, the side wings are higher which is most welcome as I try to relocate my migrated tissue. Colors are lovely - I have the gray/magenta combo as well as the black/teal combo.
EDIT 6/5/17 After several months, I have determined that the center gore is wide and too high did my narrow set. Too many days of wanting to rip it off soon as I get home. I hope these marks go away in a few months! Will be listing soon.
While this bra does not exactly fit, because of the stretch lace top I get a firm gore tack and no quadding. The lower band elastic is very firm, a little too snug for me to wear for long. I bought this bra because it is my favorite color and it's very beautiful, a little shiny and gorgeous. The uplift I get is phenomenal due to the small cup and little projection, and it's quite Marie Antoinette cakes on a plate. It's also a very reduced profile, unlike other uplifted Panache styles, which tend to project out. The apex is lower which suits my short roots.
Everything about the bra (except those firm Panache wires) is soft and comfortable. The lace is really lovely. I bought the matching low rise knickers and a teal satin robe and I feel quite old Hollywood lounging around. When I get a chance to lounge, ha!
