This is a pretty bra. I love the color. The materials are soft, the details are nice. The quality is higher and it feels more comfortable than the 34D - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285), but unfortunately the fit is equally poor on me. The gore doesn't tack, and I have space at the bottom of the cup and quadding on top. I think this is what they call "orange in a glass." The band is really stretchy and doesn't have much substance - I feel like I look even lumpier and roll-y in the back than usual. I do like the low wings, the wires don't poke me. I think if the cup was cut a little higher and I went up a size, I might like the appearance better. As it is, the beige lace on the top makes the cups look even lower than they actually are, and I'm not a fan of the shape.

This bra is so near perfect: narrow cups, firm band, able to handle both my immediate projection and tall roots. It gives a great rounded shape under clothes, and is lovely and supportive. Unfortunately though, as usual, the gore is too tall and/or too wide for my close set, center full breasts, so while it does tack it also digs in and flattens some of my breast tissue underneath.

I'm considering trying to overlap the gore, because it's such a great fit otherwise. Decisions, decisions.

    • I used to love Clara as well except for the gore; a tip that might work - bending the upper part of the gore outward with some pliers!

Definitely helped for me (even though I eventually passed Clara on to a friend whom it fit better), hopefully that might make it work better for you too!

    • bubblegum Thank you for the suggestion, I might try that!

The emerald green colorway is quite beautiful, although there is more lace than I prefer. The fabric is different from other Panache bras I have tried. While the others have had varying degrees of roughness and stiffness, the Clara is supple and stretchy, making it refreshingly comfortable. The wires seem softer as well, really hugging my body as I move, rather than clamping down. Finally, the wires are not as long - athough I still get some discomfort from the awkward cut of the armholes, the wing is set lower or something, making it more roomy. As poking and aggravating armholes are my biggest complaint about Panaches, this ... is a surprising and welcome turn with the Clara. I feel like I could lounge all day in this bra.

Of course, all that luxury comes with a price, and with the Clara, it seems to be support. The softness and stretchiness of the fabrics and wires, along with the lower coverage of the cups make the Clara a more bouncy bra than others.

Another difference with the Clara is the presence of a side sing inside the cup. It barely reaches any distance on my breast, so I'm not sure it's doing any good. In general this bra does not have as much side-support as, say, the Jasmine or Envy or Thea, resulting in, not an east-west appearance, but nevertheless a wider, rounder shape rather than decidedly front-and-center. Like the Envy, the Clara has a band that is not one solid strip, but two pieces that criss-cross at the gore and attach on the opposite cup.

Lastly, projection. The Clara is shallower than the above-mentioned Panaches. Too much so for me, although it was so comfy I was tempted to keep it anyway. (Well, this one was too big, but if I sized down a cup or so.) I really wish Panache would make a hybrid of this bra and, say, the Envy: lower wings/shorter wires with deep bottom cups.

I love this style. It definitely suits my shape. I can sometimes wear a 32F as the band on this bra is a bit firm.

    • I love it too, but it is a shape mismatch for me. The cups are a little bit too shallow for me. It's so soft and beautiful though.

    • That color looks great on your skin and the shape amazing too!

    • Yes I definitely think you should be wearing a 32 band, I also feel like your about to burst out of this bra! As long as your comfortable that's all the matters. ^.^
It's is quite beautiful and matches your shape lovely.

    Didn't fit

This gorgeous, lace covered bra comes in several off beat, romantic colors and is offered in a decently wide range of sizes. When I purchased, I was wearing a 36H but sized up to a 38H as the band was a tad too tight and cups too shallow. It was a perfect fit for me at that time, I’ve since gained weight and need a larger cup size.
This bra REALLY supports! It pulls in from the sides and uplifts to a point I never knew my girls could go. A balconette style, it never the less provided plenty of coverage, gave nice cleavage with the center fitting as ... it should, flat on the sternum. When walking, I did feel that the tops of my breasts jiggled a bit which was too obvious under tight clothing or tee shirts. But then I have a large cup size and this is not a full coverage bra. Very comfortable to wear for all day/extended periods. It made me feel beautiful and well supported. I would recommend trying this Clara bra, sizing up as needed. The band is particularly tight on the Clara so you may want to go up a band but keep your cup size. Conclusion: a beautiful bra that offers firm support and uplift. The sizing may need to be played with for your best fit.

The band is tight enough for used 30, but I'd be more happy with 28 band. The cups are true to size, but not very projected at the bottom. Upper part of the cups is made of very thin and stretchy lace, so it accommodates perfectly to my breast shape. It's very comfy if you have some weight fluctuations or other size changes. The shape is not perfectly round, it's closer to natural. I like the color and nice lace, but the gore is too high.

Clara's so pretty! I feel sexy wearing it. The cups are very soft and smooth, and the top section of the bra has stretch for a very flattering fit. There's slightly too little depth for me at the wire, but not enough to push underwires out from my IMF. Although the gore is pretty tall, it's not quite as high as Panache Andorra, which is the highest I've worn, and as such I don't get much pressure. The band is snug but not too tight. I kind of want Clara in every colorway--it's just that beautiful.

    Didn't fit

So lately Clara has had some lovely colors come out and a few months back I tried on Duck Egg blue because I read a review somewhere that noted it had more depth at the bottom than previous models.

I've tried on that colorway twice now, as well as Heather and Steel Blue. I can confirm that specifically Duck Egg blue has more depth than the other two, and probably all the previous models. (Got such a great deal on the Heather colorway I couldn't pass it up.)

Still, the Heather is comfortable and supportive. The color combo is lovely; something more than just a neutral. It sits just below ... my IMF with a little cup wrinkling and I have a slight triboob on one side in all three colorways. It's hardly noticeable, unless I'm looking for it. I've worn it a couple of full days without discomfort.

The bottoms are comfy, too! This is a damn shame seeing as how I am not a fan of the Jasmine bottoms where the Jasmine bras fit me so well. It's like I can have one or the other with Panache.

At some point (I guess soon?) I will go ahead and grab the Duck Egg colorway, because looks crazy good on me with my eye/skin coloration. I was not as thrilled with the Steel blue colorway on me as expected, so ultimately I'll take a pass knowing there's a shape mismatch anyway.

    Didn't fit

Shape: round, projected, even, close set, on the narrow end of average root width.

Well, nuts. This bra is stupidly pretty. The delicate, stretch lace and the slightly shimmery peach-toned cream fabric is gorgeous, classy, and sexy as hell. The problem is that it doesn't fit.

    Fit issues:
    1) Band too stretchy for me in a 30E. It doesn't go down to a 28F, so I'm stuck fastening on the second and tightest hooks for best fit.
    2) This is a somewhat shallow bra. Not enough immediate projection (check the fit pictures, tons of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup), and I definitely have more upper fullness than the bra ... is expecting. I get a tiny bit of quadding on my larger side.
    3) Gore is too tall and awkwardly separates my very close set breasts; it soft tacks to breast tissue, not my sternum.

Also, I'm a bit concerned about the longevity of the stretch lace on the top of the cup. Some parts of the lace weave have little holes in them which I suspect could get larger over time if the fabric is ever snagged. It looks, and probably is, more delicate than other stretch lace I've encountered.

So, all that said, I am totally going to overlook the fit problems. I know, I know. The fabric and lace, in addition to looking flat out amazing, are very soft and comfortable. At least with this particular bra, the fit issues are not complete deal breakers for the trade-off in looks and comfort. It's not my best fitting bra, but if I want to feel comfortable AND look elegant, I will reach for the Clara.

Nice review! If I may suggest, narrowing the gore by stitching the wires as close as you can will help you being more comfortable. And this will make the band a little tighter.

charlielheureux That is actually an excellent idea. I may experiment with that modification :)

I really wanted to love this bra. But it is just too shallow and too wide for me. I keep wearing it and trying to deal with that, but I don't think I ever will be able to.

The fabric is soft and the edge fits up against my breast flush, but there is a 1/2" or so space between the underwire and my breast.
