The band is tight enough for used 30, but I'd be more happy with 28 band. The cups are true to size, but not very projected at the bottom. Upper part of the cups is made of very thin and stretchy lace, so it accommodates perfectly to my breast shape. It's very comfy if you have some weight fluctuations or other size changes. The shape is not perfectly round, it's closer to natural. I like the color and nice lace, but the gore is too high.
MY SHAPE: round, projected, even, close set, on the narrow end of average root width.
THE TAKEAWAY: Best for shallower breasts or breasts that don't need much immediate depth. Full cup + stretch lace on top half is quite accommodating and I think would work well for the whole range of vertical fullness. High gore is no bueno for close set busts. Band is stretchy, consider sister sizing down if possible.
DETAILS: Partly because the fit issues in my 30E - Panache » Clara Full Cup Bra (7255) have become much harder to ignore since I've had a slew of really good fits lately, and partly just ...for fun, I decided to size up in the cup and give the Clara another shot in the new AW16 Slate/Teal colorway. My hope with sizing up in the cup is that I might get a smidge more depth and that would alleviate the bottom of the cup wrinkling I get in the 30E. No dice. While I daresay the top of the cup actually looks better (I get a touch of quadboobing in the 30E, but none in the 30F), everything else is all wrong: the wires are about 1/2" too wide, the gore is waaaay too tall and does not play nice with my center fullness, and what's with the fact that my nipples are STILL in the sheer portion of the cup? For real, what's with that?
Clara, you're elegant AF, but you just won't work for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 147 more words
Beautiful bra. Shallow at the very bottom - I went up to a 30f from a 30e, hoping that it might give a bit more projection, but it doesn't. The actual cup is now more comfortable though! I was quadboobing in the 30e, but it didn't really show due to the lace at the top of the cup being stretchy.
I still have a wedge of wrinkle at the bottom of the cup where my breasts are pushing the bra down. It's honestly not enough to make me send this back. It doesn't show under my shirts, and now that I'm a cup size up & my boobs can breathe a bit, I don't care.
This is supposed supposed to be pretty close to the same cut as the Andorra. I think I've been reading over at r/abrathatfits that the Andorra is more shallow than Clara.
TLDR: Beautiful. Forgiving lace top. Bottom of cup is shallow, not projected.
This is a secondhand bra, so that was not a big surprise for me that the band is stretch out for my measurements. To tell the truth, even new Clara is rather lose in 30 band for me. But the cups fit good and give me naturally round shape. And I love this bra so much that I'm ready to alter the band if it is necessary. It is necessary and i will make the band fit. The color is close to my perfect nude, but the lace is very visible under the white t-shirt. I have the same bra in pale pink and this one in nude. I can't compare the bands, but the cups fit the same in both
The Clara in Cream/Nude has a slightly longer band than my Blush Pink Clara - it's a better band fit for me and the gore is a bit less pokey - but still too high for my liking. The lace on this version isn't contrasting, which makes this colourway less exciting, but it does disappear under white t shirts! I have tallish roots, even projection, center fullness and I'm low set. The cups don't come up high enough for me in this size - my nipples are above the apex .... so I think I need to try it in a 32F/30FF.
I think this Blush Pink colourway is beautiful, and it's flattering against my pale skin - more yellow-y neutrals look horrible on me, maybe because I have a pink undertone? Anyway, it's a lovely looking bra, and it works as a nude on me. I'm not sure if it's just my particular bra, or this colourway in general, but the band runs tight - my measurements bear this out I think. It's a bit too small for me overall, I get a floating straps on both sides, more on my larger side - I'm probably inbetween cup sizes, annoyingly. I'm evenly projected and the cup depth works pretty well for me, although there's a tiny bit of smooshed down fabric at the bottom of the cup on my larger side. The gore IS high, and pokes against my sternum. It's so gorgeous though! I'd like to try it in a 32F and a 30FF....
Gorgeous full cup in pale gold and black lace (with stretch in the upper cup). I would have been very happy if it worked out for me, sadly it doesn't. I got the same problems with the side sling as on the Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675) only worse here. I cannot settle into the cup an I have a slight quadboob.
As far as I understand what is happening is that the side sling hasn't much give and while it pulls my tissue forward fairly well there occurs this awkward indent on the side of my boobs. The overall shape is teardrop like, maybe somewhat pointy for my preferences.
I found it a little bit disappointing there were some loose threads as it is higher priced than the Andorra.
