    Interesting color combination. The background for the front of the bra is a coral color. The lace overlay is a semi-saturated jewel-tone medium blue. There is lace all over the cups and extends a small part onto the side band and covers the center gore. Lace is attached along wire and on edge between the strap and the outside wire. It is not attached on the cup surface, but is tacked along the scalloped lace edge on the inner (top) portion of the cups. The back part of the band and the straps are the solid blue with no coral.

    Cups are foam padded and ... tall (to me). Straps are convertible in the back, but the fronts are attached. The wire width is wide to me. Wire itself seems sturdy but narrow (in gauge). Band seems stretchy to me. Three-hook closure in color-matched blue. Strap hardware is silver metal. Small gold/brass detail at center gore.

    This bra is really comfy.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Quickie initial impression: Wore it a couple times. It just is not deep enough OR... it's the whole way-too-tall-for-my-boobs thing that requires me to tighten the straps to prevent massive empty space in the tops and effectively cuts down on the projection. The second time I wore it, my boobs actually hurt after I took it off. No good for me.
    Needs much taller and/or rounder boobs than I have. Will sell.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Update: It's even more laughably huge on me, now that I've lost more weight/size. I'd consider getting this bra if I could find the right size to fit me, but I suspect that the cups will always be too tall for my very short boobs and upper torso, so that size might not exist.

    It's so tall on me, the cups practically reach my shoulders.

    This is the best fitting bra I've tried to date. I have it in three colors (nude, black, light pink) and I definitely will be getting more. I have shallow, wide-rooted breasts with fairly even distribution (some say I may be slightly full on top). I am glad that the band on this runs a little firm. My underbust is 28" snug and 27.5" tight; I haven't found a 28 band that wasn't painful for me so a firmer 30 band is favorable for me. I also have a rather bony sternum, so I really do enjoy the lower gore on this one.

    I'm ... not sure if this bra runs small in the cup, as my overbust measures 34.5 inches. I also tried this bra in a 30D, which resulted in quadboobing (which wasn't noticeable until I moved the mesh overlay out of the way) and band distortion. The 30DD gives me none of those issues while still remaining supportive, comfortable, and pretty.

    If I were to nitpick about something, I feel like the triangular overlay comes up higher than it was designed to. I think this has more to do with my build (petite, long torso, high set breasts) and not the bra itself. The pics I've added show some wrinkling of the cup. That's only the mesh overlay and I was able to pull it up to get rid of the wrinkle. Overall, I really like how this bra fits me!

    My proper size is a 28D, and I am a shallow 28D, but for me, underwire in anything higher than a plunge style is extremely uncomfortable and stabs uncomfortably in my chest, so I needed to try some plunge styles that are supposed to be good for shallow breasts - of which there are few. This bra is one of the few that is supposed to be better for shallow breasts, so I figured I would compromise on the band size - and it seems to be okay.

    This bra is super comfortable! And fits great! As soon as I put it on, I could tell it was ... going to be awesome. The cup does not quad-boob my larger breast, but still fits my smaller breast well. And it looks really nice, a little sexy! The low gore does not stab me in the chest, which I am really jazzed about.

    More than all of that, it just feels really comfortable, especially for a bra with underwire. There is some cute lace on this bra, but it doesn't itch or irritate at all.

    The 30 band is fine for me, but I did start wearing it on the middle hook - so I know that it will stretch out quicker than a 28 band will, which is probably the only less-than-ideal aspect of this bra.

    Well, that and I'm pretty sure this size is discontinued! But if you can find it somewhere, I highly recommend it.

    This bra is a plunge style and not made for wide set shallow breasts. I bought it because it came in my band size of 30. Cups run small. I sized up to DD. still get side boob. I trued the DDD but experienced gaping at top of cup.

    Good fit for my wide, shallow breasts. Underwire does poke a tiny bit at gore and underarm but by slightly bending the wires (which I usually do to all of my bras anyway) it fits wonderfully.

    My shape: soft, deflated, full on bottom with tall shallow top, measure to 36E

    Pros:
    -Supportive band, holds everything in place during exercise/activity
    -Soft wicking fabric, thick double layered cups and front
    -Comfortable enough to use as a daily-wear bra.

    Cons:
    -Band runs big in this style
    -The straps are adjustable, but the system uses clips with discrete slots instead of the typical sliders and these can slip out or cause the strap ends to twist or stick out in back.
    -I suspect that more serious athletes would appreciate firmer/stronger support. This is marketed as a more medium intensity/impact bra.

    This is a beautiful bra! I'm just not sure I have the right size. It is a 32C.

    ***The gore tacks perfectly and there is no gapping in the bottom or the tops of the cups.

    ***The band feels somewhat too loose on the loosest hook (I used to wear 34 A), but quite snug on the tightest - I can still pull the band about an inch away on the tightest hook, but there is some "fat" overflowing on the sides/back of the band when it is on the tightest hook. I also have the bones from my ribcage right underneath my breast tissue and I can ... really feel the pinching more on the ribs when the band is on the tightest hook.

    ***I do feel like there is a tiny bit of space at the very bottom of the cups. When I scoop and swoop my right boob can fall out of the cup, yet the left one fits quite well (my right is bigger).

    ***The sides of bra seem to cut into my "armpit fat" and it is kind of annoying and uncomfortable - but the bra may relax over time and I might just get used to it.

    I feel like maybe I should try a 30 D or 30 DD perhaps....makes me nervous because I am so darn bony right underneath my breast crease. I like a lot of things about this bra but something seems off....I am also getting used to not wearing a padded push-up for once in my life - I have worn push-up bras almost exclusively for years!

  9. Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023)

    This bra is my first effort to actually purchase a bra with a small enough band so that it actually...supports me, instead of just covering me.

    I'm apparently a wide set 30D or 32C and I'm not very full at the top, so this bra was more or less the only one in stock at Nordstrom that fit me. Luckily, it's not a quite a solid foam t-shirt bra and it works with a lot of my clothes.

    Wearing it for a couple of days, I can say it's fairly comfortable. After most of a day it starts to feel as if the band is too ... tight. I'll be interested to see if this works better as it stretches.

    ETA, a month or so later - the Natori in 32C does fit me, but I'm finding that something about the underwire isn't quite right. Even though the wire seems to fall in the right place, it hurts at the outer side of the cup on the right after I've been wearing it for about half a day. I'm inclined to seek an alternate bra without an underwire...

    I just purchased this Natori Reflex push-up bra, and I'm wearing it at home, with tags on, to see if I want to keep it. It's definitely the best fit for me out of the plethora that I tried on at Nordstrom Rack today.

    My ribcage is 27" around, upon exhaling, but 28" normally. However, I am so accustomed to wearing 36D bras that almost all of the 30 bands felt uncomfortably tight. I can actually fit my whole hand between this band and my back, but I think that the band is nevertheless staying in place at the loosest hook setting, and it's pretty comfortable (it'll take ... me some time to get used to even this much constriction, I think).

    There is some padding in the bra, towards the bottom and lateral side (nearer to the arm than the sternum). The underwire (and padding) come right up under the roots of my breasts, so that's comfy. The gore seemed to tack to my sternum earlier, but the top of the gore is now leaning away from my chest, slightly.

    I seem to have a very minimal amount of quadboob when inhaling, but not when I've exhaled, as I tried to demonstrate in the photos from above. I feel like the line is pretty smooth.

    I do still have quite a bit of underarm fat, but I don't know that I'd want the side of the bra to come up any higher, as some of the bras I tried with higher sides chafed the undersides of my upper arms, and I'm happy that this one doesn't do so. What do you folks think? Should I keep looking for something that will contain my underarm fat better?

    I'm pretty pleased with the shape this gives me (some projection, not too flattened to the sides, nor too pointy), as well as the smooth lines under clothing. Hooray for no nipple show-through!

    The straps seem to be nicely adjustable for my short torso, and stay up without any problems despite my sloped shoulders.

    A girlfriend who is helping me to assess the bra thinks that it looks better under tops without any gathering at the neckline (as if the projection is too pronounced under tops with gathering...).

    Any tips or thoughts about whether I'd be better off keeping or returning this one would be appreciated!

    I expected that this bra would be similar to the Natori Feathers Contour Plunge (730023), but it certainly did not seem so. This bra was not good for my shallow breasts, and cut in too deeply along the inner edge of the cups. Though because this band is stretchier than my Natori Feathers bras, perhaps the loose band was causing the padded cups to tilt and push into my breast, rather than push up.

  12. Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023)

    This was largely an experiment. I'd lost some weight, especially in my boobs, and found myself able to fit into regular American-size bras. Still the very top of the spectrum, but I'll take it. I'd been coveting the Feathers for a while - Pretty! Lacy trim! Plunging neckline! And it fits, in the technical sense. It checks the boxes for cups, band, and it even takes the lead in the category of Not-Cutting-Into-My-Armpits, unlike SOME bras. (Ahem, pretty much every full-bust brand.) Yet, there's something a little lacking about it. Everything is very stretchy and flimsy and it ... just doesn't feel like its offering serious support. Under clothes, it looks just a little sad, unlike when I wear, say, my Cleo Lucy. Not much uplift or shaping going on with this. It's extremely comfortable, but leaves a bit to be desired in its purpose. Thus, my conclusion to this experiment is, even though I can it in regular bra brands, I would rather go with a full-bust brand since they seem to do a better job of actually being a bra. But I will wear this one around the house.

    I fill out this bra well, and the band at 30 runs small enough for me to use the middle set of hooks despite fitting into a 28. The plunge on this gives me fantastic cleavage. I prefer demi or otherwise half cups, but these can get too low for me when my breasts are at their biggest and I have to adjust the mesh outer portion to cover myself a little higher. The inner portion of the cups stays just covering my nipple. On smaller days, it fits better.
    Despite apparently being slightly too large for these cups (I think they may run a tish small), they do ... not cut in at the top edges because the fabric making the cups is very stretchy and the lace softens the edge. The lace is very pretty and makes my breasts look very nice, but it does show through on thinner shirts.
    The bra as a whole is very lightweight and good for use in the summer time, which makes it a bummer that it shows through sometimes. I save it for my polo shirts and wear it often. I've had it for a few months now and it hasn't show any signs of wear.

    Best bra I've found so far. Doesn't chafe my armpit area, gore is comfortable. It has padding along the outer edge of the cup, probably to push the boobs in the center. I have wide set boobs and it works for me. I wish the straps were slightly wider or felt a little more substantial, but I can see it working better this way under certain garments.

    This is my favorite bra.

    It's not my best-looking bra. It doesn't give me the best shape. But it is straight up the most comfortable bra I own. Natori uses this incredibly soft, comfortable material in a lot of their bras, including this one.

    The wires are the perfect width for me, and the cups are a nice depth. Also, the material of the cups (lace over mesh) is quite stretchy, so it'll stretch to adjust to the shape of your breasts if they're reasonably firm.

    The shape in this bra is probably the biggest downside. I have self-supporting breasts and it really doesn't do anything for me shapewise; if anything ... the shape is reminiscent of not wearing a bra for me, with a little bit of smoothing. Not much lift. But I forgive it because it is so damned comfortable. The lace is fairly flat, so I found it doesn't show under clothes.

    In D and below this comes in a somewhat narrower band with 2 hooks, but at DD the band gets wider and goes to 3 hooks. I normally wear a 36D but was told that this bra runs small in the cup, and the 36DD fits me a bit better -- the 36D flattened my breasts a bit, although I didn't get any quadboob (I assume because my breasts are fairly firm and the cups are fairly stretchy). I vastly prefer the wider band, though -- I find it rolls less, and I have a major issue with bands rolling up.

    Another sizing note: I've found Natori to run very stretchy in the band, and this is no exception. The band is plenty snug enough to hang onto me, but it stretches a lot. I don't generally have a problem with bands riding up because my breasts don't exert much downward pull on my bras, but if you tend to have bands ride up you might want to at least try on a bandsize down.

    I got this bra at Nordstrom in my early experimentation with moving from 34A's and 32B's to 30D's. It was uncomfortable and I returned it before measuring or taking photos. I'm not sure what the issue was, but have since tried on a 30DD in the same bra and that seemed to work better (though not well enough to bring home), so I think the 30D was a little too small in the cup. The small bit of lace trim on the cup did not bother me, though I am generally very sensitive to lace and trim on bras.

    Natori bands are supposed to run small, and I did agree the band felt tighter than other 30's I have tried.

    85% nylon, 15% spandex. That's not that different from most other bras, right? I mean, the tag does make sure to point out that it's Tactel® Nylon and Lycra® Spandex, but we all know that brand names don't usually mean anything. I look at the rest of the tag: the band is made from nylon, rayon, and spandex, and the cup linings are also nylon and spandex. None of this seems out of the ordinary to me. So how on earth does this bra feel so amazing?

    When the fitter put it on me, she said "this bra feels like butter". Not quite, but very very close. After a ... few minutes it's harder to remember, but every time I put it on I'm surprised by how soft and how smooth this bra feels against my skin, not to mention how cute it is. A pretty blue with cyan and blue lace on the straps, and a tiny gold medallion on the gore, this bra makes me feel like a mermaid. The matching boyshorts feel amazing as well, made of those same nylon and spandex brands, with lace at the top and around the leg holes - the lace is mildly uncomfortable, but beautiful.

    As to the fit of the bra, it's not the slightest bit uncomfortable. It is in my sister size of 32D, but I'm wearing it on the loosest hook and everything is staying where it ought to be. When I slouch, the cups come forward the tiniest bit right above the gore, but the top stays mostly in place, and I shouldn't be slouching anyway!

    This bra hides nicely under all my t-shirts, but doesn't do too much for maximizing cleavage - it's lightly padded all over the cup. A good everyday bra that's also something sexy. I probably wouldn't get another one, though, unless it was cheaper - at $70 it was in the middle of the price range of the bras the fitter brought me. It's a wonderful bra, though, and I look forward to some quality time with it.
