    Didn't fit

One day my mind conjured up my dream bra - a seamless, unlined beige bra with no pattern, lace, anything. Something to wear under white t-shirts that wasn't moulded. This was the bra I immediately clung to. And here I am.

Guys, this bra is awesome. I want it to work for me so badly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The wires are so soft and flexible. Seriously, I put it on and went to feel how the center gore was sitting on my chest - for a minute, I thought I'd bought a wireless bra. But nope. The center gore is pretty low, and the wires ... don't come up far at all in it. No stabbing!

The sheer look isn't for everyone - in one post someone said how it "leaves nothing to the imagination" - and I really like that! Some people won't. Not gonna lie, sometimes bras like this will smush your nipples in the weirdest, most unsexy ways. But other times, when your nipples are sitting straight, it's a very nice look. From the front, I feel like this bra makes me look a bit flattened and wide (I think that's just how I perceive it based on how bras flatten out your nipples), but from the side I am actually more rounded than I was expecting.

Under a shirt.. Depending on the shade of your nipples, this can be a pretty solid nude bra - not for those who are afraid of hard nipples, of course. My nipple color shows through my lightest shirt a tiny bit with this bra - the pierced one is more obvious. And a weird part of me is cool with this - it's like wearing a bra, but not. It hides the natural pointy, droopy, kind of splayed thing my boobs do without a bra, gives me a nice rounded shape instead, but doesn't hide my nipples. I know this isn't what most people are looking for in a bra, but I'm kind of mystified - of course, in most of my shirts it won't be an issue anyway!

The fabric is so smooth and soft - not itchy at all. The sparkle adds a special touch to what could be another boring beige bra (it also comes in a brown color called mocha, so at least Fantasie has more than one "nude" option here)

Most of my bras are in 30E, but after reading some reviews I sized down to this 30DD and I think that was the best option. The cups are tall and full coverage, and a 30E would very possibly be too tall and I'd have more trouble filling out the tops of the cups. Originally, I struggled with this bra fitting shallow and wide. Due to the flexible wires, the cups were being stretched with the band. Adding an extender helped so much with this, though the band didn't really feel too tight before. With an extender, I think the bra allows for some projection and even has narrower wires. I think the shape it gives me is just as round as my Cleos, with a bit less lift. I'm in love.

I saw another review that noted that panties ran big, so here I want to say that I found my matching high waist brief to fit small. I bought an S after looking at their size chart, but I guess I should've went with a M.

After a few wears, I am rating quality as "OK", because it feels fragile for a t-shirt bra. I am always wary of catching something on the fabric and causing a run, and pulling at the cup edges or gore too much might pull a string loose. I expect this in a lacy, sexy bra but less in a t-shirt bra.

The 30DD - Gossard » Vip Embroidery (14101) longline plunge is a bra that includes underwiring and light padding. The effect is one of enhanced cleavage, and I would consider this to be a slight pushup. Although stiff, I still found it to be quite comfortable (for a longline plunge). I wouldn't imagine sleeping in it, but I could see a scenario where I was lounging around in it.

On the cups, there is floral lace embroidery sewn into lace meshing. The embroidery goes a little beyond where the cups stop so as to lay on the top part of the breast. It's not itchy or ... uncomfortable. The embroidery on the cups shows a bit when the bra is worn under thin cotton t-shirts. However, I wore it under a polyester/nylon exercise shirt with no problems.

The same floral lace embroidery and stretch lace/mesh found on the cups can also be found on the band. Again, it is comfortable and not itchy. The band also features boning/wiring to help stabilize the whole concept as well as elastic straps on the top and bottom. The bandwidth is also quite flattering on me (if it helps, I'm 5' 7" and 130lbs). In the 30DD/E, the band has a four-row and three-column hook and eye closure.

The straps are thin, plain elastic but it doesn't matter really since the band is very supportive. The straps are fully adjustable and the adjusters are coated metal.

And I have to say I really enjoy this bra. It's very supportive and appealing. Comfortable too. It does a great job of putting my tall and wide rooted, averagely projected, breasts front and center. I feel like if I wanted (and at the appropriate time), I could wear it as a type of corset shirt, but otherwise, it's just something a little different and nonutilitarian to have in the lingerie drawer. If you get the chance, I say try it!

Well, boo. After trying this bra in 3 different sizes, I think I have to just accept that the shape doesn’t work for me. It seems like the projection is in the upper middle of the cup, when I need it in the bottom half. FWIW: The cups are quite tall.

    - 30F (what I wear in Ewa Michalak BM): band fit, cups laughably large
    - 32DD (what I wear in Panache Cari): band too large, cups fit at bottom but too voluminous up top
    - 30DD: band fits, cups overall too small

I suppose I could try 30E, but I’m feeling like it’s probably not worth it. Too bad, because I love the triangle shape.

    Hasn't set fit

Apologies if I did not correctly enter this bodysuit when trying to add this style to the database.

First of all, this bodysuit has answered my prayers of finding something that has underwire/bra like support to keep my wide-set breast tissue in place! It's very fashionable and the pinstripes and how the sheer panels are placed gives it a 1920s/1930s art deco vibe. I like it - it's serious and structured, but not too serious and structured.

But alas, when selecting a bodysuit that is based on one's bra size, we run into Short Girl Problems and Abundant Hips & Butt Problems.

Based on the length of ... the torso, I think this bodysuit was meant for someone a little taller than 5'1".

Because a bodysuit needs to take into account not only the size of one's breasts, but also what the rest of her body is like, it introduces some incorrect (or stereotypical) assumptions. This bodysuit assumes that a woman with a 30 band size has a figure like Taylor Swift - willowy and slender throughout. Because I have a small waist and very wide hips for someone my height (I'm a classic pear shape), the fabric buckles or bunches up around the widest part of my hips. Thank goodness this is a thong bodysuit because my butt would never fit in this thing.

    - Received in a giveaway and the previous user narrowed the gore by overlapping the wires which is amazing for my close-setness. Such a pretty bra. Subtle silver thread in the cups and rose gold hardware.

    - It definitely runs small in the band and feels more like a 26 which works for me.

    - For me this bra not a match in the cups. They want to sit a little too low (why is this? Is is something to do with construction or how I'm putting it on?) and the tops are not open enough for me. Or maybe the cups are also too small. I'm 26 underbust, 34 leaning bust, even or maybe FOT, tall, close, average/maybe narrow roots. I will pass this along in another giveaway.

This is gorgeous! A fairy bra :-) :-)

    • 1

Are the gore wires off of your breasts near the gore base? It looks wide and center fullness may inhibit the wires sitting further up. Just a theory :-)

    • 2

I'd say the cups are just too small for you. What a shame, it's such a pretty bra.

    • 1

Such a pretty bra! Too bad it didn't work. I agree Love4Pollinators about the gore width possibly being the problem.

How did you find the projection? I've always wanted to try this bra but I wasn't sure if it would have enough immediate project for a FOB shape

    • Love4Pollinators i think i remember that the wires were off my breasts, yeah, but my roots meet (where one ends the next begins immediately), so all gores are too wide :(

Impossibletofit i don't think it asks for serious immediate projection. i feel like if i were to size up, i would not meet the apex projection (but i often have trouble with that area in bras). i do think the cups run a little small overall.

    • Ahhh thanks for the info. It would probably be a shape mismatch for me as well then

    • 1

I tried this bra in 3 different sizes and none fit. The 30DD definitely runs smaller than usual for Gossard. A shame about its fit as the fabric itself is wonderful.

Beautiful bra & made very well. A very different look - unlined, sheer, soft cups with full coverage (sort of opposite of the modern padded push-up bra). This bra is actually very supportive, because it has a sheer lining in only half the cup that works like a vertical seam. So it gives a pretty shape & lifts well with no padding or seams.

The cups are slightly too large for me on top, wrinkling a bit. This bra is made for a very round breasts that are full on top. I regret not sizing down as reviewers suggested, but then again, the wires & cup depth through the ... bottom & middle of the bra fit well. I think it's just not made for my breast shape (fuller on the bottom). I wear this size in Gossard otherwise.

I'm keeping it because if I have even the slightest weight fluctuation (ie. period), then it fits very well. I can do "the scoop", stand up very straight, and tighten the straps a bit too tight to get rid of the wrinkles also....since the bra is TOTALLY SHEER, it's not like I wear it under sheer or very fitted tops. It's actually not a good t-shirt bra because of that, but good for loose, opaque blouses, especially if you want to de-emphasize your breasts (no padding, lining, etc).

Oh, as a side, Gossard panties run big! Their small is like a medium in US sizes (ie. compare to VS or CK panties).

I was really, really, really looking forward to getting this bra and am sad I had to return it.

I had strange gaps and buckling at the inside of the cups on both sides, but it was more pronounced on my left side (my smaller breast). I kept scooping and scooping to try and get my tissue to move towards center, but it wouldn't fill out that section of each cup. Even after tightening the straps, I was still dealing with the gaps.

For reference, I am petite (5'1") with wide set breast tissue that is slightly tuberous and gravitates towards my armpits and sags.

I think I'm probably due to self-measure myself because the 30 band size on this Gossard felt looser than some of the others that I have. It could also be that due to the cooler autumn months, I'm not retaining as much water or as bloated overall and maybe that is manifesting itself in how my band fits.

The 30D Superboost bras from Gossard have removable pads, but 30DD does not...a major disappointment.

I have a LOT of Superboost bras (thanks to having debilitating chronic illness I always ... have spare clean bras in case I'm feeling too unwell to do laundry) and this one fits differently than some of the other 30DDs that I have. Perhaps it is the dye lot or color used for the purple? The cups don't feel like they make contact with my body as nicely; they seem a little stiff. Hopefully a few more washings will make the bra feel softer against my skin.

This bra fits me surprisingly better than the size up: http://bra.pe/XTfX/
Writing this review for when I was a 26FF.
Band is super tight, it works excellently as a strapless. This bra gives great cleavage (especially with the straps). While the cups were a little small, without the straps, it was the first strapless bra ever to not cut in at the armpits area with the straps off. This makes it an excellent strapless bra for someone who has tall roots. I received my bra as a giveaway, and while I am eternally grateful, the bra is defective and the right cup curls outwards. Since it is discontinued, I am not able to replace it.
Therefore I tried my best to fix the issue with the cup, and it is wearable. I wore this bra for a formal, and the mishap with the cup wasn't noticeable, but you can see it in my photos.

The band runs small on this bra, 30 bands tend to be too big for me. This one fits great! However, the cups were too big, but I was able to get them altered to fit me. Also, if you have narrow shoulders the straps won't stay on. There's only one hook and eye, so for you larger ladies, it may not offer the support you need. It's a gate back ( |=><=| )

  13. Ooh La La Plunge (5731)

Great fit for tear drop shaped busts (fuller on the bottom). I sometimes have a problem with cups coming up too high & cups being too round in shape, as the sizes I wear are designed for "full figures" despite the actual size not being large.

This bra gives a "classic" shape, which I prefer to the over-padded, overly round look. It looks better on my figure to have that shape of cup, probably because it's closer to my actual breast shape. I wouldn't recommend this bra for breasts that are full on top though.

The band runs a bit small; the 30 band barely stretches to 28". The cups are spaced closely together & have a nice angle to them, so it gives a good lift.

The straps are also thin (yea!), which is hard to find in DD+ bras.

I'm very happy with this bra!

This is a great bra and the deep V gives a really nice cleavage effect. I got this one from a bra fitter a few months ago, and while it’s very pretty, it’s basically lost all its function for me since I’m a 26 band and have to wear 30 bands on the tightest hook - but there is only one row of hooks. It’s sadly a boob hat on me. This would fit a true 30 or snug 32 band very well, and has only been worn a few times.

For comparison purposes, I'm petite (5'1") and have asymmetry both in terms of breast size and position on my chest wall (left breast root is two inches higher than the right). Due to tuberous breasts, I also have sagging. I am very east-west with a majority of my tissue needing to be pulled into the cup from my underarm area.

This bra is delicate, but mighty. I didn't think the all lace cups and underwire would do much of anything in terms of lift or be comfortable enough to wear all day, but I was proven wrong. Because I am concerned with the "headlights" look ... that I pretty much have 24/7 due to an autoimmune condition that leaves my skin feeling raw and sensitive all over, I can't wear this bra to work. I do wear it on the weekends, when I'm running errands, doing laundry, light house work and cleaning, etc. I usually like to wear sports bras because all of the movement causes chaffing when I wear a regular bra. The Glossies Lace has been comfortable enough to wear on the weekends when I'm logging 16k+ steps on my Fitbit trying to do all the adult things.

It also looks nice under a thick, loose shirt - there's plenty of support and lift and gathers me in towards center.

This purple/lavender color is perfect for someone with my complexion (cool with ashy and pink undertones). Even though it's not a neutral color per se, it looks more like a neutral for me than some of the beige and nude colors that bras come in.

For comparison, I am 5'1" with tuberous breasts (some sagging) and sloping shoulders. My left breast is two inches higher than my right and is also noticeably smaller. I'm very East-West set on my chest wall and there is a lot of tissue hiding in my armpits and side of the ribcage.

I really like that this bra's default and only setting is racerback. The regular bras that have that little plastic thing in back sometimes dig into me. The racerback is pink lace, so it's also pretty enough where if some of it is visible from a tank top, it's not the end of the world. There is no strap twisting or sliding with this bra - it's a miracle!

The bra is comfortable enough to wear all day and even though I have the "headlights" look most of the time, it's not noticeable through the cups.

The dusty rose color is nice for those of us with very pink undertones (most bras tend to have "warm" or neutral colors).

I think this bra is a shape mismatch for me. There's wrinkling at the apex (very close to where the straps meet the cup). After swooping and scooping, all of my tissue is in the cup and stays there. I'm guessing I'm too wide-set, east-west, or don't have the right fullness for this bra. It's too bad because this is actually a Gossard 30DD that makes me look rounder vs. pointier. And red is one of my favorite colors (second only to purple).

For reference, I'm 5'1" and have mildly tuberous breasts, which are uneven in size and placement on my chest wall. My tissue is wide-set and shallow.

I found the quality of this bra to be inferior in comparison to other Gossard styles. It was how the stitching felt and the feel of the wire and cups on my body - it felt a little flimsier or not as well constructed.
The bra itself does give me a nice, rounded shape and centers my tissue. I like the black and nude pattern - it's a nice upgrade from a basic black bra.

I love this bra design and colorway - it reminds me of a 1920s Art Deco/Flapper Era style.

Due to the ruffles in front, this bra creates the illusion of more immediate projection - which is a big plus for me! One noteworthy thing about this bra for me is the wire shape. It looks more like a "Nike swoosh" vs. a U or crescent shape, which I think is helpful for my shape and frame. The bra is comfortable enough to wear all day.

I have wrinkling in the sheer fabric towards the center of the cups. It's more pronounced on my smaller breast. Does anyone know whether the wrinkling is due to asymmetry or if it's because the cup size in general isn't right for me?
