    I love this bra so much! It's so feminine and ballerina-esque. I love all of the rose gold details and cutouts in the band and gore. The band runs super tight (only stretches to 26 inches) which is perfect for me. The cups are nice and short. They could be a bit more immediately projected, but they do give nice lift. The gore is narrow and comfortable. Thanks erispe for swapping this one with me! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

      OMG - this is amazing! I am so happy it fits so great. Yeah! Success! :) I kinda want to open that champagne I've been chilling for a week now. :)

      I'm so happy it works! I've heard it's a quite specific fit so I'm glad it works on me. And any day is a good day for champagne so do it girl :)

    I’m a 28H/28HH, and this bra is for 30F! At first, there didn’t seem to be much wrong with the bra. I think I was just so excited I had a bra that wasn’t too small for my boobs!

    However, I now am noticing wrinkles at the top of the cups and gaping under the straps— especially on my left side. Maybe it’s my own boob asymmetrical issue, but you can’t ignore the fact that this old sizing doesn’t seem very accurate for my new size.

    Besides the fit issue, there is absolutely nothing else wrong with this bra. Band is nice— seems a bit tight at first but you grow into it like other bras. The design is just beautiful.

    I would probably actually buy another of this exact same bra in my new size and see how it suffices!

    Ok, so I bought this bra because I wanted the bottoms, but fortunately it turned out to be one of my best fitting bras ever. It's basically the Superboost Lace, and it fits similarly. There aren't many reviews of it here, so if you're interested in any details, I made a lenghty blog post with too many pictures of the bra, the pants and me. Just head over to my blog, I hope you won't fall asleep in the middle https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

    Also, there is a tiny poll in the left sidebar on my blog. I got lots of new bras recently and won't ... be able to make a full review of all of them, so if you're interested in any particular thing on this list, just vote for one, two, three or all of them. But if you won't, that's OK, I will choose them randomly, no pressure. The sidebar is collapsible (which is a bit annoying, but making it expanded by default could cause some issues on mobile devices), and I'm not sure how many people actually see it, and that's why I'm writing about it here.

      I disagree that you're a bad model!

      I would have voted but I couldn't see the poll. I'm on an iPad.

    • Great review. Thanks for the detailed info!

      I can't see a left sidebar or a poll on the blog post. Is it a symbol or a Polish word?

    • 1

      finallygotboobs Oooh, thank you. I don't know what it looks like for other people, but I felt sooo awkward while taking these pictures. I should have add the one in which I am imitating an arc :D
      I suppose there is an sidebar expanding button on the left on the mobile devices. This responsive template is a total mess. I wish I wouldn't let the modern layout tempt me, now I've made so many modifications to the code that I'm afraid to change anything.

      learningaboutbras So maybe it's not an English word :D My language skills are terrible, I can't write a single word and be sure everyone understands me. But it's on the left, there is a button on top of the page (I think so) expanding this sidebar. I was right, no one sees it. It is always collapsed on mobile devices and on the computers with lower resolution. I decided to leave these settings as many people view the blog on their phones and it prevents the site from loading too long, but now I see it wasn't good idea at all. I have higher resolution set on my computer than is the standard, and this sidebar is always visible to me, but it looks like I'm the only one. I'm getting more and more frustrated with this template :|

    • And I ALWAYS click "add comment" too quickly and leave some stupid errors in my comments :|

    • WelshCorgiPembroke re poll: found it. On the linked page I first clicked the arrow in the top left corner. That took me to a page showing a listing of your recent posts. In the upper left corner is the menu icon (horizontal lines in the shape of a square). Clicked on that and the drop down showed the poll.

    • This color is phenomenal!!! Gorgeous!!!

    • And, you are BEAUTIFUL! A perfect model for this amazing set! Thank you for sharing it with us :-D

    I know it’s not a perfect fit, but I love it. It’s light and the two separate layers help control the fit a bit, in my opinion. I plan to alter the band and the slight wrinkles in the tip of cup are unnoticeable to me when wearing. This is the first model of bra for me where the gore tacks. It tacked on both the 36g and the 36ff. It reminds me of the lightweight Aerie bras, which I love but don’t come in my correct size.

    So aesthetically and tactile-y pleasing to me that I can't stop looking at it and rubbing the sooooft faux silk between my fingers. The colour of the band and lace is this hue between pink and purple and it's beautiful. Gossard makes some of the prettiest bras. This one has a gate back and thin, silky, fabric-lined straps.

    As for fit, it's a liiittle too projected for my shallow apex shape.

    The band runs short, closer to a 28, and the band doesn't have as much potential to stretch out because it is assembled of two segments with the gate half being super, super firm, so I would consider sizing up if you're a true 30.

      This bra reminds me so much of the Freya Wildfire plunge (right down to the gate back and color combo). I'm thinking about finally parting with my nwt 30DD (runs more like a 30E). I'm only keeping it because it's so pretty and I want it to fit, but ti doesn't. Sad face.

    Didn't fit

    One day my mind conjured up my dream bra - a seamless, unlined beige bra with no pattern, lace, anything. Something to wear under white t-shirts that wasn't moulded. This was the bra I immediately clung to. And here I am.

    Guys, this bra is awesome. I want it to work for me so badly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The wires are so soft and flexible. Seriously, I put it on and went to feel how the center gore was sitting on my chest - for a minute, I thought I'd bought a wireless bra. But nope. The center gore is pretty low, and the wires ... don't come up far at all in it. No stabbing!

    The sheer look isn't for everyone - in one post someone said how it "leaves nothing to the imagination" - and I really like that! Some people won't. Not gonna lie, sometimes bras like this will smush your nipples in the weirdest, most unsexy ways. But other times, when your nipples are sitting straight, it's a very nice look. From the front, I feel like this bra makes me look a bit flattened and wide (I think that's just how I perceive it based on how bras flatten out your nipples), but from the side I am actually more rounded than I was expecting.

    Under a shirt.. Depending on the shade of your nipples, this can be a pretty solid nude bra - not for those who are afraid of hard nipples, of course. My nipple color shows through my lightest shirt a tiny bit with this bra - the pierced one is more obvious. And a weird part of me is cool with this - it's like wearing a bra, but not. It hides the natural pointy, droopy, kind of splayed thing my boobs do without a bra, gives me a nice rounded shape instead, but doesn't hide my nipples. I know this isn't what most people are looking for in a bra, but I'm kind of mystified - of course, in most of my shirts it won't be an issue anyway!

    The fabric is so smooth and soft - not itchy at all. The sparkle adds a special touch to what could be another boring beige bra (it also comes in a brown color called mocha, so at least Fantasie has more than one "nude" option here)

    Most of my bras are in 30E, but after reading some reviews I sized down to this 30DD and I think that was the best option. The cups are tall and full coverage, and a 30E would very possibly be too tall and I'd have more trouble filling out the tops of the cups. Originally, I struggled with this bra fitting shallow and wide. Due to the flexible wires, the cups were being stretched with the band. Adding an extender helped so much with this, though the band didn't really feel too tight before. With an extender, I think the bra allows for some projection and even has narrower wires. I think the shape it gives me is just as round as my Cleos, with a bit less lift. I'm in love.

    I saw another review that noted that panties ran big, so here I want to say that I found my matching high waist brief to fit small. I bought an S after looking at their size chart, but I guess I should've went with a M.

    After a few wears, I am rating quality as "OK", because it feels fragile for a t-shirt bra. I am always wary of catching something on the fabric and causing a run, and pulling at the cup edges or gore too much might pull a string loose. I expect this in a lacy, sexy bra but less in a t-shirt bra.

    I love the silky texture of this bra. It's the kind of bra that's always cool to the touch. I like that. The band feels nice and firm, and the straps are super smooth (I hate textured straps. Hate!) which makes them comfortable.

    The raspberry color is stupid. The huge amount of padding is stupid. The pointy shape it's molded into is stupid. The fact that a G-cup bra has only two hooks is stupid. The huge amount of gaping I have at the top is stupid. It also does the cutting-into-the-fronts-of-my-armpits thing. And it seems to angle my boobs well away from each other, so that sometimes they rub against my arms, you know what I mean? Like my boobs are pulled out so widely that I occasionally feel myself up accidentally because they are just there.

    In spite of all the stupidity, I wear this bra sometimes. I should hate it, I should go down a cup size, I should do a lot of things, but I've had waaaay worse bras. So there's my not-exactly-ringing endorsement.

    First time measuring with the abtf calculator and I was put in 36F UK size.Wrinkle city! I am guessing because I'm slightly conical and have slightly shorter roots, it overestimated my size. Since the band size was good, I tried 36E and the cups didn't quite fill out. My nipples reached the edge but the top had way more empty space than the bottom (I'm FOB, btw). I really really liked this style so I was determined to try once more in a smaller cup and 36DD seemed to be a perfect fit! So you may need to go down a cup size (or in my case, two). This is definitely a really good bra if you need narrow wires, are full on bottom and are close-set. The gore is low enough to provide separation without cutting into breast tissue. I'm so glad I didn't immediately give up on this bra.

    • I had the same issue! With my measurements, the calculator would guess 26FF or higher, depending on the measurements but I'm actually a 26F! I, too, have conical breasts and what looks like short roots but when I bend, I see they're tall roots. The calculator does overestimate the size for conical breasts, that's true. Glad the bra fits you so well!!

    Currently I am looking for bras which accentuates the volume of my bust. I struggle to show much shape in clothing despite my measurements suggesting that my bust has some level of projection. I would appreciate any tips and bra recommendations that would help me achieve this.

    About the bra: I have to say I am very much surprised at how good this makes my boobs look! I didn't think I could achieve this much cleave in a bra without tons of padding. I'm especially pleased about how the height of the cup is kind to my (what I believe are) short roots.

    The cons: Again, as with every bra ... I've tried so far, there is still the issue of there being a bit too much room in the bottom of the cup and I measure the cup to be about 0.5 inches wider than where my root begins (around 5.6 inches). The bra did create slightly sore marks around the 8th hour of wear during a busy work shift where I'm constantly moving which, again, there's been very few bras I've worn that have not done this excluding the M&S Sumptuously Soft range. This leads me to believe it could instead be an issue with material as most of the bras I've worn so far have had frilly and lacy edges to the cups.

    To be honest this bra, appearance-wise, looks to be one of the best fitting bras I've worn. However, on closer inspection, it still has the fit issues as just about every other bra I've tried.

    At this point, any help or corrections you can suggest to me regarding these constant fit issues would be wonderful!

    For moulded bras in general, I wish someone told me (or I had the common sense to figure out) that this bra doesn’t have gores or pads for support! Also, it does make my boobs seem a little too far apart from each other. However, this is an excellent bra.

    I got this bra when my boobs were 30F (UK). I now obviously have a different size, but the bra still fits fairly well! I have a few wrinkles at the top of the bra and a little gaping under the straps, but I still think it’s a great fit.

    I was so surprised at how well this bra fit me!
    Even though it’s sheer, I found it to be quite supportive and keeps me in place. Nipples do show through if wearing a thin shirt, but it works otherwise. The band is bigger than expected probably due to how stretchy it is. I could probably have gone with a 32 FF but it’s not a big deal, I use the second set of hooks and it’s fine. The strap placement is fantastic for narrow/sloping shoulders. My partner finds it sexy too haha

    For reference I am full on bottom, narrow roots width wise, short roots, splayed shape, and narrow shoulders.

    *Edit-wow this band has stretched out way too much too quickly. It’s now too loose on the tightest hook.

    The 30DD - Gossard » Vip Embroidery (14101) longline plunge is a bra that includes underwiring and light padding. The effect is one of enhanced cleavage, and I would consider this to be a slight pushup. Although stiff, I still found it to be quite comfortable (for a longline plunge). I wouldn't imagine sleeping in it, but I could see a scenario where I was lounging around in it.

    On the cups, there is floral lace embroidery sewn into lace meshing. The embroidery goes a little beyond where the cups stop so as to lay on the top part of the breast. It's not itchy or ... uncomfortable. The embroidery on the cups shows a bit when the bra is worn under thin cotton t-shirts. However, I wore it under a polyester/nylon exercise shirt with no problems.

    The same floral lace embroidery and stretch lace/mesh found on the cups can also be found on the band. Again, it is comfortable and not itchy. The band also features boning/wiring to help stabilize the whole concept as well as elastic straps on the top and bottom. The bandwidth is also quite flattering on me (if it helps, I'm 5' 7" and 130lbs). In the 30DD/E, the band has a four-row and three-column hook and eye closure.

    The straps are thin, plain elastic but it doesn't matter really since the band is very supportive. The straps are fully adjustable and the adjusters are coated metal.

    And I have to say I really enjoy this bra. It's very supportive and appealing. Comfortable too. It does a great job of putting my tall and wide rooted, averagely projected, breasts front and center. I feel like if I wanted (and at the appropriate time), I could wear it as a type of corset shirt, but otherwise, it's just something a little different and nonutilitarian to have in the lingerie drawer. If you get the chance, I say try it!

    About this Bra

    Purchasing:
    * $34.63 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns (not Amazon Wardrobe)
    * Available in black, white, nude, and some fun colors.

    Band:
    * Inner layer of stretch mesh. Outer layer of sheer, stretch knit.
    * Elastic at top of band.
    * Wing support: no seaming or boning
    * 3-piece band construction
    * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.

    Straps:
    * smooth elastic with lacy edges
    * soft (don't stand up on their own)
    * full adjust
    * leotard back
    * CENTER PULL

    Cups:
    * seamless, soft full cups
    * unpadded, flexible underwire
    * Made of a very sheer knit with only horizontal stretch. Unlined.
    * Has an inner side support sling made of two layers of stretch mesh. ... Covers just under half the cup.

    Fit

    About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts
    * average projection
    * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts)
    * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line)
    * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full)
    * short root height, average vertical placement
    * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away)
    * conical shape (but will squish to round)
    * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue
    * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame
    * front (anterior) rib flares

    Band:
    * length: way too big (even on tightest hook)
    * wings: too short, boobs escape
    * no axillary skin spillage

    Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.

    Cups:
    * Far too big. Gives no shaping, just covers breasts.
    * Wires too narrow.
    * Top of cup smooth. But only because there is elastic on the top edge of the cup. Cup is expecting more upper fullness than I possess.
    * Bottom of the cup wrinkles.
    * Apex of cup is higher than my nipple (probably because the bra isn't providing any support).
    * Don't be fooled by the stock photos. This fabric is very, very sheer. Everything shows. (This is a pro or a con, depending on your goals.)

    Straps:
    * feel widely placed but are not slipping
    * adjust short enough

    Fit Under Clothing:
    * Almost smooth under a thin T-shirt. There is a contour change visible where the side sling ends.
    * Not visible under a V-neck.
    * Visible in armholes of sleeveless shirt.

    Comfort & Fit Summary
    * Band too big. Cups too narrow and projected.
    * Try a 30F - down one band and one cup size. (Will review separately.)
    * Band is so big that trying a 28 band (two band sizes smaller) isn't crazy, but this style is only made in 28G, 28H, and 28I. Based off the fit of this 32F, the cups of a 28G will probably be too big.

    This bra is a bit of an enigma to me. It fits very badly from a technical standpoint. The wires are too wide and low, the cups are too shallow and separate, and the straps are very slacky. But it is very comfortable, very supportive, and gives great cleavage in spite of all this.

    I love this bra. I'm deeply confused by it, but I love it. I'm not sure if it would be like this new, as I bought it used. But I'm glad I got it and it's satin counterpart. They have served me well.

    This bra is much more giving and relaxed than the satin plunge. The band is more stretchy and the straps are more giving. I like the fit of the lace version more, but both are good bras, in my opinion.

    Aside from the ADORABLE print, this bra is ugly as sin. I want to love it so I'm going to keep it and see what I can do with it. There are a bunch of these on eBay for cheap right now so I figured something had to be wrong with them.

    I think what really does it in is the giant bow on the gore. I mean, really? A giant, floppy, saggy bow? I think I might replace it with a little pom-pom or something.

    Also, the lace flips out by the gore, and the seams are lumpy.

    The band runs a little loose/stretchy. Other than that, the bra is comfortable and soft, and runs true to size.

    I'm planning a gore decoration transplant, a foam-ectomy, and a severe band shortening for this bra.

      Well... it looks like a decent fit at least? You crack me up. Let us know how the frankenbra turns out.

      Actually you drew my attention to this bra, so I ordered it in 32DD. So funny, but that bow doesn't bother me one bit. I dont't get the band wrinkling though - any particular purpose of that? Also thinking about altering the band and probably getting rid of the wrinkling. The cups fit great and I love the silky touch. The price was really good for a silk bra.

      Bwaaaahahaha. I know, I know. We're all on here because we generally like bras and are trying to find a pretty one that fits. And yes, we all have different taste in pattern/color/decor.

      But really, I have such a hard time being objective about a bra that I find unappealing or just down right ugly.

      I have to agree about the bow. Floppy and last-minute looking detail that doesn't do a thing for the bra.

      lcl0706 I think the frankenbra is turning out quite well! It's taking forever but I think it will be nice when it's done so I'll probably add it back on Bratabase as my own brand or something.

      erispe The band is ruched in the back because there is plain elastic encased in the silk fabric. The silk has no stretch so the ruching allows the elastic to stretch. That is where I'm taking the band in anyway so the amount of ruching will be reduced. It would be possible to get rid of the ruching entirely by removing the excess fabric and making a straight covering over the elastic but you might make the band way too firm or put too much strain on the delicate silk.

      runs_with_scissors I get it now, thx. I will start wearing it as it is now and will see how it stretches. For some reason I prefer not so tight bands lately.
      Oh, and I am not very skilled with the scissors, or maybe just afraid to venture into the world of alterations.
      ColorFan I know what you mean. I just read a review about the Kris Line Kama Brassiere where the reviewer sees the bra purple and cheap looking, while I see it as blue and of fine quality.

    I fit ok in this bra but it's just a tad empty on top, especially on my smaller boob's side. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> So I'm not keeping it (it's being sold on here). The lack of breast weight to fully fill up and hold down the cups (my fault) makes the bra extra pointy and it looks somewhat weird from the sides. The bra has an older sort of shape to it, not a circle but more triangular. While I can find that attractive, I probably would only get an appealing old fashioned look if I sized down a cup. The seams definitely ... make this a hard to wear bra with most clothes, so it's more of a "sexy time bra".

    Band is tight, more like a 28". I measure 26" below and 33" around the breasts (26F) but like 28s and 30s---the band was nice on me. The cups? Probably run true to size; this cup being just a little big on me can be expected if we look at sister sizes. I really do love the band and the bra itself is super pretty, but just not made for my shape. Someone with more projection and larger boobs would fit better, say a 28F/FF.

    The top of the cups also try to encapsulate your breast tissue. This could be an issue for some people. It wasn't as plunge-y and revealing as I had expected.

    Worth noting: No push up padding. Not sheer. Lightly padded cups with lace on top.

    YESSSSS. Finally, a strapless swim top that doesn't threaten to pop over or under my boobs when I move! The cups are SUPER stiff and moulded with huge pushup pillows in them. I didn't expect the pillows at all actually, since I ordered the top off of ebay and the bottom off Gossard's website, since the top was no longer on there in Magenta. The padding helps to make the cup its actual size, if that makes sense. Essentially, if they left the cup size alone and just removed the padding, the cup would be too big for the size it's supposed to ... be.
    Even though it has underwires, its way more comfy than any other bra I own. I'm not sure if thats owing to the way that the gore is made (v short with basically only the bottom part of 'traditional' gores that we're used to seeing.) On the wings and the band, there are silicone strips at the top and bottom to keep the band up, and the band itself is pretty tall, which is nice. It sits a teeny bit longer than a traditional underwired bra, but again you can see in all the stock photos and such that it's supposed to fit this way. The fabric is nice and plush, which is also helpful. Overall, its made of very thick materials and of sturdy construction, which is why I think its so comfy and supportive. Oh, and the band is small for a 30, so all my fellow 28-ers, this would definitely be okay for you https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
    The cups themselves naturally give some pretty major cleavage (you can see this in the stock photos if you google 'Gossard Sienna Bandeau' and a nice round shape, only *hinting* at pointy-ness at the apex of the cup.
    When I tried it on, I jumped up and down and mimed 'swimming arms' and it didn't budge!! Overall I'm really impressed and happy with this top (esp. since I got the matching bottoms on major sale https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> ). Pics coming soon and I'll update after I take it for a spin in the water!

    * I keep forgetting things. This top comes with a removable, thin halter strap and has gold accents https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    • Jj is there any way for me to list this bra? I have the measurements in, but the system doesn't think I do! :o Thanks :)

    • Ah, it looks like this bra was requiring bust perimeter when it didn't need to. Try hitting "save" again on your measurements screen and see if it's good.

    Well, boo. After trying this bra in 3 different sizes, I think I have to just accept that the shape doesn’t work for me. It seems like the projection is in the upper middle of the cup, when I need it in the bottom half. FWIW: The cups are quite tall.

    - 30F (what I wear in Ewa Michalak BM): band fit, cups laughably large
    - 32DD (what I wear in Panache Cari): band too large, cups fit at bottom but too voluminous up top
    - 30DD: band fits, cups overall too small

    I suppose I could try 30E, but I’m feeling like it’s probably not worth it. Too bad, because I love the triangle shape.
