    Didn't fit

I’m a 28H/28HH, and this bra is for 30F! At first, there didn’t seem to be much wrong with the bra. I think I was just so excited I had a bra that wasn’t too small for my boobs!

However, I now am noticing wrinkles at the top of the cups and gaping under the straps— especially on my left side. Maybe it’s my own boob asymmetrical issue, but you can’t ignore the fact that this old sizing doesn’t seem very accurate for my new size.

Besides the fit issue, there is absolutely nothing else wrong with this bra. Band is nice— seems a bit tight at first but you grow into it like other bras. The design is just beautiful.

I would probably actually buy another of this exact same bra in my new size and see how it suffices!

    Didn't fit

Oooooh gosh. Where do I begin with this one?

I wanted to try out a moulded non padded bra and to be quite honest it fits as what I about expected it to fit like, at least at this price. However, I might be misjudging the fit because the band on this is very very loose. I think ideally I would have needed a 28 band in this, it's that stretchy and loose. My snug is around 75cm and this thing stretched to 90cm!

That being said, the real issue with this bra for me is in the cups. It has the little supportive mesh side panel inside the cups ... and normally these don't really disfigure my breasts despite how soft they are but this thing? I think side view photos speak for themselves. Surprisingly, it doesn't look that bad under a loose shirt, but I think anything form fitting and it would look hilarious with this bra.
I don't plan on returning it, so maybe I'll just cut out the side panels from the inside? Not sure. The cups definitely have enough depth for me, but the panels obviously don't. Lol.

That being said, imho Gossard always made beautiful bras and this one is no exception. It's beautiful soft lace and the colour is something to talk about. The wires are flexible but also on the wider side, and surprisingly the gore tacks (I usually have an issue with Gossard gores - all of them float).

Overall, maybe I picked the wrong bra to test this out on? Maybe a Chantelle or Prima Donna or Empreinte or Maison Lejaby would have worked way way better? I kinda didn't wanna cash out for those though, because I have no idea how their sizing works and the one Chantelle I ever wore was ages ago. But I digress.

The top of the cups is very oddly flattening and it doesn’t look like it’s lifting you at all. To me your under shirt shot seems wider in this bra than the Comexim.

    • 1

Oh it definitely has no lift past the 'oh your boobs are a little higher than your belly'. Nothing even near a well fitting constructed cup! I think the moulded cup might not be for me? I need the structure and it's just not there eh?

    • 1

I was under the impression molded cups didn't fit very many people.

    • 1

      Now I know :(

    • I have one in 30g for sale in case if you want to try band size down :P
Overall looks good on you and gives nice round shape! I'd probably try with cutting out the side panels to see if that would fix the cup fit

    • Lol much as I'd like I think I'll pass, a 30G would even be worse with the side panels and I don't think this bra fitting like this is a size issue anyway. Just not meant for me... Honestly the more I look at the photos the worse it looks to me haha

    • Weelll if you'd come across 30f or 30ff let me know! id definietly give a try. Looks really light and sexy :D

    • It looks weird from the side, agreed. You could try Fantasie Lois. It’s got the side sling but it’s better than this. Prettier too, imo. Sorry that this one didn’t work.

    • Are the straps already let out to maximum length? Sometimes people get that in-cup vertical indent due to excess tension on the straps. But if they don't extend any longer, there is very little you can do about that, unfortunately!

    • Calluna Fantasie bras do not agree with my tall roots, I've learned the expensive way.

wendybien Yup they are completely let out! I think I'm gonna take this L and move on lol

    • 1

That looks sooo gooooood on you. Like Wow. You look drop dead gorgeous in this bra. And honestly I am not seeing the issue that you are seeing on the side. The only difference I am seeing is that band is not supporting you at all. I think taking it is in would make all the difference.
But each non-padded molded cup bra is not made the same! All those french brands cost that much because they are that much better. Honestly I have never seen someone not love an Empriente bra.

    • 1

yes LeProfessor That's what I'm thinking about the make. France is rly close to me and I've been planning a Paris trip anyway, for some reason I would rather try those bras on before buying!

    • You may want to start looking for shops now that actually carry those sizes. From what I have heard it is REALLY hard to find bras in a 32 band let alone over a D cup. Which I kinda don't understand given that their a so many amazing french bands that create bra for the larger busted. Maison LeJaby Elixir is even offering a 28/75 band these days. But in France, apparently 34-38 A-D is whatcha got and I swear 34B is their most sold size.
Herroom.com offers free returns, but I can't blame you for wanting to try them on first. I keep staring at them longingly on the computer but can't seem to make the leap. Though I dropped 105 USD for a Simon Perele bra that my niece wanted after she tried it on because it just was so amazing. She is my niece and I can't tell you how many birthdays/christmas's I have missed and I'm like the only women left in her life. So the price killed me, but it was worth it for her first real fitting bra.
Good luck and I can't wait to hear about your trip if you get to get around to it!

    • Hm, odd, I had no idea that was the case!

    Didn't fit

This is my best fit, by far. I think I might better sister size to 32G for the band, but I’m worried that would pull on the wires and make them wider. That’s not an error on my stretched band measurement- it legitimately can stretch to 120cm, it’s extremely stretchy.

This bra is bandless, seamless, unlined, and the cups are stretchy- it’s got some “downward” projection, but not enough to look droopy, just a very natural shape. It allows my breasts to have some of their natural side projection, but pulls them much more front and center, and hold them at “perky” attention all day. This is ... the only bra that I have gotten to sit correctly in my IMF without the wires literally jamming into my armpits- I’ve got short roots that are placed high on my chest, but with lots of pendulous projection.

This bra is a whole lot of “almosts” for me. The wire is a great length, but the wing continues higher than the wire, and the part above the wire extends not just up, but back, and rubs under my arm. The regular glossies aren’t stretchy enough, and this lace is- but I don’t love the texture of the lace. This has a passable amount of projection , but I could do with a tiny dab more at the center- but the wires could not be wider at all, so I can’t size up.

The cup is actually more like 14.5cm without the extra wire channel/wing, which turns/rolls down on me. The wing without that extra on top would be 9cm. That would be absolutely perfect. I’m considering alterations.

The gore would be better if it was 1cm wider (total) on the top, but with the distance taken from the inside of the wires, not in addition to them. It rides down and starts hurting in the front (center of wire) because it’s too tall under the arm, but I’ve been wearing it every day, because it’s the only underwire bra I’ve tried so far that fits even passably.

It’s also one of the few that matches my aesthetic- well, almost (almost is a trend here obviously, haha). The regular glossies are much more my taste, I’m “meh” about the lace, but it’s understated, and I don’t totally hate it. I wish more than anything that it was a plain cotton like fabric.

    Fits

For comparison purposes, I'm petite (5'1") and have asymmetry both in terms of breast size and position on my chest wall (left breast root is two inches higher than the right). Due to tuberous breasts, I also have sagging. I am very east-west with a majority of my tissue needing to be pulled into the cup from my underarm area.

This bra is delicate, but mighty. I didn't think the all lace cups and underwire would do much of anything in terms of lift or be comfortable enough to wear all day, but I was proven wrong. Because I am concerned with the "headlights" look ... that I pretty much have 24/7 due to an autoimmune condition that leaves my skin feeling raw and sensitive all over, I can't wear this bra to work. I do wear it on the weekends, when I'm running errands, doing laundry, light house work and cleaning, etc. I usually like to wear sports bras because all of the movement causes chaffing when I wear a regular bra. The Glossies Lace has been comfortable enough to wear on the weekends when I'm logging 16k+ steps on my Fitbit trying to do all the adult things.

It also looks nice under a thick, loose shirt - there's plenty of support and lift and gathers me in towards center.

This purple/lavender color is perfect for someone with my complexion (cool with ashy and pink undertones). Even though it's not a neutral color per se, it looks more like a neutral for me than some of the beige and nude colors that bras come in.

For reference, I am 5'1" with mildly tuberous breasts that are asymmetrical and the left root is about two inches higher on my chest than the right. I also sag and have a majority of my tissue in my armpits (I am wide-set).

I am genuinely surprised how much lift and support this bra provides! The lace is beautiful. I think the wires come up a little too high into my armpits because as the day wears on, there are spots on both sides that get very tender and start to hurt (where the edge of the wire sits).

    Didn't fit

Even though this is among the lowest quality and least supportive underwire bras I've tried, it is nevertheless now the most comfortable one I own. I am a 32FF, with short roots, average-narrow width, lots of projection and asymmetry. I usually have trouble with gores, particularly on Panache and Cleo. I always have to either bend them outward or stitch the wires closer together. The wires on this bra ever so slightly sit on breast tissue on the inside, but once I pushed them down the channel, the bra fits perfectly. The gore, which is now only comprised of fabric does float, but the wires remain flat, and ... I suffer no poking or smooshed tissue. Hooray!

Update: So, after a few days, I'm noticing that this bra not only provides little support, but also minimizes. So I get pushed down and flat. While I did discover the value of minimizing under some of my tops, it's kind of the opposite of what I'm normally going for. Maybe I went a cup size too small, but there was wrinkling in the upper cup in the 30G. That probably wouldn't be as much of a problem if you're FOT. I'll probably just use it for lounging. I don't know, there's something about the way my boobs sit in the cups that just conjures the words "meat bag sling" to me.

This is a nice lightweight bra. It can solve some problem areas, such as lack of upper fullness. Since it's stretchy, it can conceal differing breast sizes. It's also quite sexy.

On the other hand, it's not extremely supportive. It is SOMEWHAT supportive. I'm a 30FF/28G, and mostly self-supporting, so it's okay for me. If you are not self-supporting, I wouldn't buy it; unless perhaps you wear a smaller size. The band is also quite stretchy.

In the molded version of this one, 30FF is too big for me; however, in the lace version, it fits, and this is my normal size in most bras.

    Fits

I was hesitant when the saleslady suggested this bra, as I had never worn a bra with non-padded or moulded cups before.
I was always afraid that would feel not as strongly supported, but I feel very secure in this bra.
The lace of the cup stretches, which feels very comfortable. The lace itself is also very fine/flat so it does not show through fabric.
Straps can be detached to cross over in racerback style. It has a nice deep plunge so can be worn under almost any of my top (accept for white because it will shine through obviously).

Had to get used to the transparancy of the lace as it shows your nipples, but I have come to love this bra so much!
I feel comfortable, supported, confident, and very sexy in it, while feeling almost like wearing a bralette.
    My favorite bra I own!

    • Where did you get this in a 28 band? It looks great btw! Glad it worked out well for you.
I too started out my bra journey in the 28D/DD range. It can be so difficult to find great sub 32 band bras! Even the women who are over an F/FF cup are large busted, they are still bras for smaller/petite women and most of them are just designed the same as the 32+ bands. And my favorite bra brands now no longer exist! Lol.
