I cannot write an adequate review of this bra. It is comfortable (I've only worn it for up to ten minutes), but I do want to add that this bra is not exactly made for narrow projected breasts.

You know, I sold my old beige Deco strapless. "32E?" I said to myself, "That's not really going to happen anymore, not with these boobs." And then I promptly lost weight and consequently two bra sizes, then I quit hormones and lost one more. And I cursed myself for not hanging onto my smaller bras. I know better now. Who knows when laziness and holiday foods will get the best of me? I'm hanging onto ALL THE BRAS in ALL THE SIZES. So yeah, I bought another Deco strapless from another bratabase user - but this time in sexy (and slightly ... less practical) black! It has all the usual gold stars: Great fit, nice uplift, stiff padding but at least it's a complementary shape, snug band, multiple attachment loops for the straps. (Speaking of which, who the hell can use those wider loops anyway? They might as well not even be there, all tucked away in my armpits. End rant.)

Long story short, this is the best strapless bra on the market. Even though I'm not a big fan of molded bras for every day wear, I keep coming back to this bad boy for all my convertible bra needs.

**EDIT** ive fixed the band measurement for this to a stretched band of 33. i was pulling way too much originally, and have since decided that i should measure how far they stretch WITHOUT deforming the wires. so, it goes to 33 before the ends of the wire start to look like they will deform.

im not sure what to think of this bra- ive only worn it about 4 times and it seems like it fits some of the time, and other times i get a bruise from getting stabbed in the armpit from the tip of the under wire. i set the wire length as 11 because ... that's how high the channel goes, but the actual wire only seems to go to 10- there's a weird empty inch and i think that's why im getting issues.

i wouldn't call this "padded"- it has a thick lining, but there is no discernible padding to me. the look isn't my favorite- i'm not crazy about plaids or the pastel greens and pinks/purples, but it was very inexpensive at Nordstrom's so i figured it was worth a try.

it seemed to fit at first, with just a tiny bit of gaping on the smaller side outer edge. Upon getting it home and fiddling a bit, i realized i hadn't been scooping the best and i notice now a bit of overflow when i fully scoop. The open half cup design and my having little upper fullness make it more forgiving. Since the overflow is very little, i think sizing up a cup would lead to a worse fit with a lot of gaping. The straps aren't comfortable, there's a very large seam in the middle of the strap on the side that touches skin and i just feel it scraping no matter how the strap is adjusted.

although bratabase says this is "firm" in the band, and the other 32s register not stretching much past 32 inches, i can easily stretch this band to 34 and a little beyond. I don't know if i got a stretched out version or what, but i tried this in may size combinations, and the 34 bands always felt like thy were too loose and un supportive, even though i measure currently about 35 inches around and the added bras suggest they go just to that. i don't wear a super firm band, so im confused as to whats happening. On the loosest hook it feels snug to me but not uncomfortable.

I'll probably be selling this off once i get a better bra. its alright for now and better than my others, but by no means a great bra for me.

    Hi girls,

In picture below you can see the side backfat (or something like that https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />). I'd like to ask - is this bra ill fitted? Is the cup too narrow for me?
This issue is very common, it shows almost in every bra I have, but in this one... It seems just too much.

    I'll add the measurement later, I promise https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    • The way your back looks is actually not informative about the fit of the cup. (Incidentally we would need a side photo with your arm out of the way to see if the cup is the right width for you.)

The leading causes of bra bands digging into your back flesh are:

      - Band sitting at the right height but being too tight for you
      - Band riding too high on your back (where your back is fleshier, as it should be) because it is too loose for you
      - Very short torso and/or high-set breasts means that virtually all bra bands hit you at a fleshier spot than most women

    • Noooooo- this basically confirms all my worst fears. :-( Short torso equals back fat forever ughhh. I want to size up in terms band to eliminate it but I feel like that might cause more problems.

    • Not necessarily Kjralon ! I have a very, very short torso and don't have much of a problem with indents and bulges. Too large bands usually make even bigger bulges. If you have both a short torso and high set breasts and think your bra band is digging in even though it is the right size, consider looking for bras with thinner bands that won't go up as high on your back, bustiers and longlines which sit low on the back, or else invest in higher quality bras that use the more expensive materials on their bands that do not dig in the way the cheap mesh/elastic combos do.

(Btw please, please don't refer to this as "back fat" as EVERY healthy adult woman has some softish flesh at the top of her back, even very skinny ladies. It is a place where we have more muscle tissue and where most of us store at least a little bit of fat. The fat or muscle is not the problem. The bra band position or size may be a problem, but your body or anyone's body or components of their body such as fat are NOT the problem.)

    • That makes a lot of sense, Wendy! :) I will definitely try different styles of bands that you suggested. I'm surprised I should look for thinner bands, though, because I always felt that thinner bands dug into my back and sides even more so than thicker bands! Maybe it was just the bras I was wearing, though. I still haven't tried a higher quality, more expensive brand, yet.

Thanks so much for explaining, and I'm sorry that I used the phrase "back fat". I'm trying to get rid of my negative view of my curves, and I should consider that my comments about my own body are also not helpful to others!

    • Oh it doesn't upset me for me. It upsets me for you and anyone else who has internalized this body shaming phrase! Although you're right that when we put ourselves down, we probably aren't helping others question how harsh they are with themselves either, in fact a lot of people seem to feel like it is a prompt for them to chime in and say "ME TOO, I also have this bad freakish body feature, etc. etc."

But back to bras... If thin bands create more of a problem, then it's likely that you do not have the short torso/high set boobs issue, so you can keep the broader band shapes. Just look for bras where the band is made of a nice, resilient material that has roughly the same resistance and elasticity as the edging on the band. An example of the type of band you do NOT want is what you can find on many Freya bras: a wimpy, lightweight mesh material makes up most of the band and they put on a robust elastic edging that is considerably more resistant than the band itself. So most of the anchoring power of the band comes from that edging, and it digs into flesh like a hot knife going through butter. You can see photos on here of women who probably weigh less than 100lbs and have scarcely 1/10th of an inch of flesh on their ribcage, but still get an indent from this type of bra band!

    • I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. Fat is not negative word for me...

I've got really long torso, so it will be probably the problem with elasticity.

I've add another pictures, so if you don't mind you could take a look :)

First off-this bra is one of my bras from before I knew my approximate correct bra size. When I first got it, I thought it was tight in the band, but now I realize-it's just because the cups are too small! I can wear it easily on the tightest hooks, and can still pull it away from my body enough to fit two or three fists in there. It also rides up on the tightest hook. After measuring the band, I instantly knew why-unstretched, it measures 26 inches! My BTT is 26.5, and relaxed is 27, so of course it's too big. However, I added it here for ... science/measurement purposes to help others, and it will be listed so that it can go to a good home.

    Pros:

Gorgeous color-a true red that I hope to find in a correctly fitting bra someday! Red can be tricky with my coloring, but this one is really pretty.

Seems very well made, I think it would last a long time for the right person.

Medium Narrow wires, though for me I need a touch narrower, on a correctly fitting bra.

    Cons:

I quadboob, but this is understandable, since my actual size is 26HH or J, and I usually wear 28H or HH bras. (The cup volume of this bra, if my math is correct, is closer to that of a 28FF or G, since it goes 32E-30F-28FF and the cups seem to run a bit large, since they are about the same depth as another 32 band bra I am listing in a F cup(which also runs a tad large). Because the band is so loose, I couldn't get a picture where the full extent of overspill is visible-every time I stepped back to wait for the timer, my breast ended up moving around and the quadding at top became less visible.Probably why I thought these sizes fit for so long....)

Straps don't adjust short enough for my narrow shoulders and higher set chest. (My root starts pretty high up)

Band runs large, which could also be a pro depending on your measurements.

Overall, a lovely bra, and I hope it can go to someone who will enjoy it!

First, I'm even/FOT. This bra cuts in a bit at the top of the cup. I've since shortened the band since I was able to easily fit it on the tightest hook (and it was riding up like a shame on the loosest) but this just brings more attention to how it does not fit me well. I can undo this alteration easily, btw.

Received this second hand...the wires are bent in a way that I'm not sure how to make them feel normal. It also has a defect in the threading (didn't find this too bothersome, but some may). Sexy but not the most comfortable bra, IMHO! Better for a different shape.

This was the first bra I bought on my search for a better fitting bra, and the first one with a size outside of the "bra matrix". At the time, my measurements said more 30F, but coming from a 38C the 30 band seemed absurdly tight and impossible to wear, and after trying on a few other similar sizes settled on a 32E. Now, my measurements are more in the 30G/GG range, probably from tissue migration. Despite this, the bra still kind of fits in a weird way? The band is definitely too big and has stretched out a bit, but there's a lot of fit issues I ... normally have that aren't present. I think somehow the incorrect size makes up for the totally wrong shape (I have another Freya padded half cup in what should be my correct size, and it fits REALLY strangely). What I think is happening is the bra's apex projection is fitting my immediate projection, and because I'm full on bottom and this bra is open on top, it's not causing quadboob. At least, that's the only thing I can figure. I wouldn't recommend other FOB ladies try to recreate this fit, however, as in person it's clear the cups are too small (despite no quadboob). Anyway, it's a really lovely bra and it will always hold a special place to me as the first step on my bra journey!

The top part of the cup was not flush against the breast, even though I tried the recommended size and even though other models in the same brand fit well. Will try a smaller cup size to see if that helps.

I love this bra. I have no complaints about the fit. I just can't be the best judge because long lines without boning roll up on me. That bunched up material really affected the fit for me over the course of the day. It's no fault of the bra, really. It's my rib cage flare that causes this.

Style great for a t-shirt bra, but the cups were too wide and gave sort of an east-west effect. Combined with quadboob, it just wasn't for me.

The band is definitely loose on this one. I think the cups are fine, and a just being thrown off a bit by the band. The shiny fabric of this bra also shows wrinkles really well, so I don't know that it is the best choice for asymmetry issues. Also, the embroidery really shows through tshirts, even the little circles on the bottom fabric. I'm not one to really worry about my seams showing, but if I'm going to get a plain beige bra like this then I'd rather it be a bit more multi-purpose.

I've sent this one back and I doubt I will try it again in another size.

Beautiful bra! In real life the red color is a tomato red, with a very slight orange undertones (no blues) and is so nice. This bra had way too much volume in the top of the cup for me, leaving it very baggy on the top and sides. The bottom of the cup was great, as was the depth. I am quite FOB, so I think this would be a much better fit for someone who had fairly even breasts.

I like the wire length and core height of this bra. Unfortunately it seems to be too loose in the band for me. Too stretchy. It seems to be a comfortable bra otherwise. I just wish it fit . The cups also seem to curve outward toward the top instead of laying flat against my breasts I bought this bra used and it had been bleached so maybe its from being dried in the dryer. I think this bra just isn't a good fit for my FOB breasts.

This is one of the bras I bought when I was still clueless, but knew the 34DDs I was wearing weren't right. I tried on this bra in every size from 32E to 32G, and had one major problem with all of them. No matter how small or large the cup was, it crumpled at the bottom of the cup. I kept the smallest of the ones I tried because the 32E had the mildest version of this effect. I now realize the cups were WAY too small and the caving at the base of the cup was from the shape of the cup being too shallow.

  20. Deco Shape Moulded Strapless Slip (1461)

    0

    32E

    Didn't fit

The objective: the measurements I took are for the internal bra. The slip itself is 19.25" long from the top of the gore to bottom of the hem (size 32E). The bottom front and both the bottom and the top of the back band are lined in non-slip silicone type material. It comes with two sets of straps, one clear and one black. There are 8 total strap attachments, two on each side in the front and back.

The subjective: This may be the least flattering undergarment that I have ever worn. The cups are very wide and shallow and quite tall, and at ... least a full cup size small, if not two. Freya is my best fitting brand in mesh cups and 32E my regular size, and the gore was a good 1.5" away from tacking. And yet there was at least an inch of unused space at the bottom of the cup that was inaccessible due to the shallow depth.

The band felt spot on (I tried it backwards, due to the cup discrepancy). I was able to stretch it a bit long when measuring, but honestly, it felt nice and firm, and due to the grippy silicone stuff it was hard to get into place and didn't budge a bit, so I would not want to size down at all.

Lastly, the slip bit. It is a stretchy smooth material. Definitely not shapewear. Obviously much tighter than they show it on the ASOS and Nordstrom models (I am 5' and 118-120lbs in my pics for reference). Nice enough as you put it on, but it begins to ride up as soon as you move, creating bunches and wrinkles. There is no silicone or grip of any kind at the bottom of the slip to keep it from riding up, a fatal flaw, in my opinion!

To summarize: If you are have wide, shallow breasts and are very tall, then this could be your strapless cami!!! Otherwise, I think Freya has some work to do here.
