I bought the pink colourway brand new online in 30F for a great deal (from the UK), even though Fauve sizes are hard to find in this size range. The cup width is almost ideal for me, only maybe 0.1-0.2cm too wide for me, but it doesn't affect fit. This is a 3 part half cup, and cup depth is also just right, as I'm a smaller 30FF earlier in the month. I find this cup fits fairly deep and narrow, and it *almost* has enough depth at the wire for me (edited to *almost* as I realized it was buckling a tiny bit next to the wire ...where it wasn't quite projecting out enough at the underwire, but doens't affect comfort). The cup is also high enough to create support, lifting and rounding things out nicely, but it is also not too tall for my shorter roots. Although I'm not a huge fan of pink, the bra is actually made very well, and the cup details are embroidered onto a thin mesh lining overtop of the cups, which go all the way around to the back of the band... and it's not just a pattern, which I thought was really nice. I also like that the top edging of the cup has a folded over satin piece, which looks a little retro (in a subtle way). The colours looks nicer in person. Overall, great fit and great quality. The band measured quite long unstretched, which surprized me, because I find it fairly supportive, and it only stretched to my "maximum" length that I like in bras. I didn't have to readjust during the day, and it was comfortable. As long as the band stays snug, this bra should become a regular in my rotation. Read more 187 more words
This bra is awful. The band is really stretchy and even hooking it on the tightest hook, it's still way too big. The wires are super wide and very projected, so great if you're wide and projected. I got a 30E and the band is more like a 34. It may also be a cup size large.
Highly wanted this bra to fit, it’s so girly and princessy! It’s a total miss for me, I like where my breast are positioned in the cups BUT, it’s gapping EVERYWHERE as if the cups where WAY larger than I need, I’m fairly certain this is in part due to having 0 outer fullness. Cups are also very low, as in the edge of my nipple (Areola) peeks out, and if I pinch the fabric where outer gaping is, thus also making cup volume less, and rescoop my nipples are out of cups. I could see this being a wonderful fit for someone FOB and more even fullness left to right. Would also recommend sister sizing down for better band fit.
Fauve Dominique Padded Half Cup is another well-constructed, comfortable, beautiful style by the now-defunct Fauve. This style is a wee bit shallow, but the UW seems a little narrower than some Fauve styles (I owe measurements!) and that makes it feel more comfortable/secure than styles that leave excess fabric on the sides. I enjoy how good this feels on and would happily walk around my house wearing only this. I have yet to try a Fauve bra that hasn't been well-constructed and secure. This style is no exception - my breasts feel contained, controlled, well-displayed and stylish in this lightly padded model. There are no irritating internal seams to chafe my nipples. The amount of projection is pretty acceptable and my breasts stay put in the bra as I got about my day. I were to buy this again I'd go up a cup size.
Basketballs shape. $30 on Amazon right now. No stiff padding, just lined. As usual with 3-part half cups, the projection is fairly good. I am someone who needs a lot of bottom projection and room for center fullness, and here it performs fairly well, just a little empty space at the bottom towards the center. I could stand to go up a cup size, so it may not be the cut. Band runs loose: I like a relaxed 30 or a 32 and I have this on the tightest hooks Those who are true 28 should pass on this one unless you're up for a sewing project. The ...band and wires are comfortably firm on the right setting. I'd say the cups are TTS for an F cup. It's a cup size small for my larger breast, which is causing some gaping in the upper cup by the strap, but it's not coming up high, so it doesn't bother me like a gaping plunge cut would. The gore is on the narrower end of medium, although it could stand to be a bit narrower. I am fairly high-set and it does not chafe me. Straps are well-placed: a bit wide, typical of balconette style, probably Comexim-width apart. Straps are cushioned and only adjustable to the shoulder. Overall fit B+, very impressed. Extremely comfortable. Lifts fabulously. Very happy color for summer, vibrant fuschia. Good quality, beautiful embroidery, incredible price. I feel it will last a while. Read more 137 more words
This bra was a very weird fit, it's not a true half cup in my opinion more like an awkward balconette. The wires are also *very* wide. The widest I've ever seen on a bra. This would be a dream come true for some, but not me. I have an average to narrow root, shallow and FoB breasts so this was the perfect storm for creating the strangest boob shape ever. The same is true for the following other bras:
-Fauve Emmanuelle Padded Half Cup Bra -Fauve Veronique Padded Half Cup Bra -Fauve Lingerie Aurelia Padded Half Cup Bra -Fauve Dominique Padded Half Cup Bra
I've got the Annalise bra by Fauve in 32G and the cups seem to become small so I decided to order the Dominique in 34G (it comes up to G only) and it is too big. I reordered it in smaller size because I find it absolutely stunning.
Like all my @Fauve bras, this one is incredibly comfortable and very pretty. The strap fits snugly without being constricting and the band and cup both run true to size.
The embellishments (small bows at the strap and gore, satin fold-over at the top of the cup) don't show through shirts but add a beautiful, subtle effect. The wires on this bra fit my very shallow breasts perfectly and are nicely padded to keep from pressing and rubbing against the ribcage.
This bra gives great separation and lift while keeping that nice soft rounded shape I love. Also, the top and sides of the cups are low enough that it doesn't show under the low cut spaghetti-strap tanks I wear to work, which is a big plus!
