    Didn't fit

This fits true to size for a 30E.
I need narrow separation, and this bra delivers. However, there is a little extra room in the bottom of the cups I can't quite fill, but it is not too bad. The underwire goes a bit wider and out-side edge downward angled than my narrow breasts prefer.
    Very lacy, full-coverage.

I like this bra, but it does not fit.
Band: a little bit big. I am in between 30 and 32, so 30 was perfect for me. 3 hooks for a secure support.
Straps: not too wide set, but the straps themselves are wide.
Wires: very wide, too wide for me (I usually like wide wires), but still comfortable.
Cups: quite shallow, there was a little bit of empty space at the bottom and the sides. The cups are wide set. I am not sure why, but I had kind-of quad-boob, I believe its because my breast are tall?... It is not due to spillage, but the top of the cup cuts in my breast tissue
Fits more rounded than other Fantasie bras.

    I will return this bra.

I picked this bra up at Nordstrom Rack... it only took 3 visits over the course of about a month before a bra that fit me showed up there. I tried on a number of Freya, Natori, Chantelle, Dkny, and Calvin Klein without success, and then this one-- band just right, gore tacking perfectly, cups filled on top with no gapping, and the wires sitting right in my IMF. Check the tag, and it's a Fantasie bra. Ha, I should have known.

I have had better luck with Fantasie than any other brand I've been able ... to try out. Their side support full cup bras seem to be the easiest to find, and so far all the versions I've tried on have been perfect for my breast shape. A little more coverage than I'd really like (won't be wearing this with any low-cut tops), and they give me a bit more of a natural, slightly pointy "green" shape rather than the more rounded "purple" shape I'd prefer, but eh, it's a bra that fits. I'll take it!

For reference, I am FOB (2/5), somewhat narrow-rooted, with moderate projection. I have some inner fullness but my breasts are widely spaced and slightly splayed. I struggle a lot with gapping and wrinkling in the top of cups but I've yet to have that issue in a Fantasie bra.

    Hasn't set fit

I purchased this bra online from the @figleaves UK store as I needed a new bra quickly (my weight fluctuates often) and didn't want to wait a month for my usual Ewa Michalak order. I think it's quite pointy, and the wires are too wide for me - ending behind my arms if they are resting at my side. The center gore doesn't sit quite flat, but this is likely due to my uneven sized breasts ( as buying a larger size to fit the larger breast the cup on the smaller breast is too loose and it's only gaping a little. Fairly comfortable and the fabric is quite soft and the cobalt (blue) colour is quite pretty.

    Didn't fit

I already had this bra in a 30G, but the band was too tight. I bought a 32G to be more comfortable. These two sizes have a few differences, first the straps are wider in the 32, and there is a «side support» panel inside the cups of the 32. This panel does not seem to do anything. I do not feel like my boobs are more supported on the sides, or pushed towards the center.

The cups are a little bit big for me, which makes the bra look quite bad. It looks like mw breast is just hanging in a potato bag... But the wires are the perfect width and length for me. I have quite projected brests so I do not understand why the wires are ok but the cups too big.

The fabric is very nice, soft, and the bra is comfortable. I might just alter the cups to remove «excess» fabric.

I waited so long to finally find this bra at a price I could afford. Sadly, the only size I could get didn't fit. It is too small in the cup and too large in the band for me. I could go up a cup, but Fantasie doesn't make 28-bands and my ideal size would be a 28G. Fit aside, Marianna is one of the prettiest bras I've tried. There's a full review on my blog.

Intensely lovely! Thanks for your review!!

Beautiful and very Fauve-esque! I've wondered about this one but haven't seen many reviews, so this is very helpful. Sad to hear it didn't work for you in this size!

    • Thanks! VioletIridescence, yes, it is very Fauve-y! I love a lot of the Fauve half cups, too, but was too late for most of them.

    • 1

It looks like the depth runs on the small size of a 30F also

    • 1

I had a bit of a frustrating experience with this bra too. In my regular size (30E) it was too small in the cup, but when I sized up it was too wide for me - which I also find with Fauve half-cups (annoyingly, as they're so beautiful).

This band stretches quite a bit - feels more like a 32 than a 30, which is unfortunate, because Fantasie doesn't make 28s. I've found it works decently for projected shapes, but there may be a bit of gaping at the top (but less than there often is for other molded bras or especially plunge bras). For cup sizes lower than this, the band seems to be firmer, which is bizarre.

I loved this bra. It had the shape I have been wanting (slightly pointy 'rocket' or 'bullet' bra shaped) without being too pointy. It had the side support I wanted, but the straps were just to long for my short frame. I couldn't get them to tighten up enough to get the lift that I wanted and it made my breasts point down to the ground instead of outwards. After wearing it only once, I decided I couldn't wear it any more.

A very nice, simple, lightweight lace bra. Typical Fantasie: supportive, comfortable, gives a natural and lifted shape. Really sweet colorway reminiscent of EM Summertime: vintage lace with warm orange and antique gold embroidery. Nothing shows under knit top, its a very 'discreet' bra. Straps adjust fully, lace is soft, band is true to size, side support panels help to bring everything front and center. Balcony cut with fairly high coverage in the cups and firm wires that enclose the full breast on the outside. Top soft lace panel is a little bit stretchy so it doesn't cut in but holds on nicely, no gaping. A wardrobe staple, especially for warmer months!

I found this bra 10 years ago, and have worn this model almost every day since then. It gives a perfectly round but still natural shape to my breasts, which I feel like works well due to my very soft tissue. I still love this bra, but I have to start out wearing it on the tightest hook and it quickly becomes too loose because I really need a 28 band, which Fantasie doesn't make. My only other issue is my breasts vacillate between a 30FF and 30G, and are often squarely in the middle, with slight quading in the 30FF and extra space in the 30G.

I'm obsessed with how pretty this bra is. Unfortunately, the cups are just a little too small for me. The 4 part cups give a me a nice, round shape and the lace/mesh upper part is very forgiving. It almost fits me but there's just a little too much jiggly quad boob to justify keeping it. Even with that in mind, I still found the band and the straps to be quite comfortable. The mesh lace is just this side of scratchy, but I have sensitive skin and it feels like it would soften after a few washes. It has a lower gore than a proper full cup or full fit bra, but taller than a balconette or a plunge. If you're looking for an every day bra that's more suitable for lower cut necklines than a full cup bra, this is a great choice.

When I saw this bra and the embroidery details I fell in love. The only wish I would have is that the band have 3 hooks. Once you get into the higher cup sizes, more hooks is always better and more stable plus a wider band smooths the back fat a little. I do not usually prefer a soft cup but this one was way too cute not to try and I am pleasantly surprised.

  14. Florence Balcony Bra (2412)

First of all, the design on this bra is splendid. It doesn't cut into my upper breasts, pinch at the sides or show through my shirt which is an automatic plus. It's incredibly comfortable, especially compared to my other two Fantasie bras (Rebecca 2024) which caused my skin to chafe.

The band is true to size but has enough stretch that it doesn't dig in.

I think this bra is a decent fit overall, but it can get uncomfortable over the course of the day due to the taller wires. I don't think it would be such an issue if I wasn't both so short and short-waisted. In my opinion this bra is much more utility than beauty, but it does its job well. I has a decent amount of depth and gives a very nice up and forward look.

I got this bra via Bratabase as a 32E and then Franken-bra'd it into a 30F by folding & sewing the bands. More on that later.

QUALITY: The fabric is consistently firm with a silky inner lining. The lace along the top is charming and smooth as can be, not to mention snag-resistant, and the stretch mesh on the band perfectly matches the cup fabric and yet is crazy elastic. I do sort of wish the band was 2-ply because it can itch a bit. Plushy elastic and soft, luxurious wire channels.
COMFORT/FIT: As a result of my modification experiments, the cups are a little odd - the wires ... are way wide, but since they don't rub or effect the side support of the bra, I ain't mad at it. The gore is a little high and presses in after a few hours, but that is the way of the world for those of us who have too much centered tissue for plunge bras and yet have close-set tits. I consider this modification an overall victory!
APPEARANCE: It's nice! The shape is par for the course with other Fantasie bras - uplifted, rounded, on straight up lockdown until you take it off. The seams disappear under just about any shirt, bless them.

IDEAL USES: being a business bitch, wearing under a nice dress, when you gotta look professional but you also might seduce somebody later

Fantasie makes great bras. I could wear this Shannon all day, it is that comfortable! With the side support panels, it brings the slightly pendulous girls up and centered. The wires are firm and average width, they do not come up too high under the arm and the gore tacks and is not too high, even being close set as I am. The wings also do not come up too high. The band is strong and firm, but not tight. The straps are fully adjustable. The well-constructed 4-part cups work great for my even/FOB projected girls, giving a perky green shape with no gaping, and are plenty deep ... enough at the bottom and the apex. The fabric is a smooth nylon, soft to the skin. Nothing itchy or irritating here. The berry colorway is different in a very grown-up way, its neither purple nor red, more maroon maybe? Burgundy lip stain? I couldn't get it in pictures. The decorative mandala-like embroidery detail is kind of ethnic/boho looking, and pink. Its an interesting combination of colors! And the color is simply awful on my yellow-toned skin. So I'm selling Shannon, even though she has done no wrong and fits just fine.
