I picked this bra up at Nordstrom Rack... it only took 3 visits over the course of about a month before a bra that fit me showed up there. I tried on a number of Freya, Natori, Chantelle, Dkny, and Calvin Klein without success, and then this one-- band just right, gore tacking perfectly, cups filled on top with no gapping, and the wires sitting right in my IMF. Check the tag, and it's a Fantasie bra. Ha, I should have known.
I have had better luck with Fantasie than any other brand I've been able ...to try out. Their side support full cup bras seem to be the easiest to find, and so far all the versions I've tried on have been perfect for my breast shape. A little more coverage than I'd really like (won't be wearing this with any low-cut tops), and they give me a bit more of a natural, slightly pointy "green" shape rather than the more rounded "purple" shape I'd prefer, but eh, it's a bra that fits. I'll take it!
For reference, I am FOB (2/5), somewhat narrow-rooted, with moderate projection. I have some inner fullness but my breasts are widely spaced and slightly splayed. I struggle a lot with gapping and wrinkling in the top of cups but I've yet to have that issue in a Fantasie bra. Read more 130 more words
The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Part 3 My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Appearance: I like this take on a basic beige bra. The jagged edge lace at the top of the cup has a nice design, and the fabric used is super soft and stretchy. Fit: I can't seem to figure out where I should be with Fantasie bras. U'm pretty sure they aren't the right shape for me, but it's sorta close on some of the models. This particular one has wires that are wayyy too wide for me, and the cup seems about a half size too large. I can't fill out the bottom, and have some slight gaping at the top. The wires wrap around past my armpits, almost to my back.
This bra is very very soft and comfortable. It's a full cup design so it looks a little old-fashioned/elderly, but I'd still keep it if only it wasn't so shallow in the center. The cups really push things to the side, and because of its shallowness in the center, the gore doesn't tack. It's a shame because this bra is really quite comfy otherwise! As with most bras, the straps are too wide-set and chafe in my armpits.
