So, the first package of my Black Friday shopping spree has arrived! I'm impressed with the fast delivery, it was already available for picking up on Thursday.

A personal rant that I have is against black bras with white/very light coloured trims - they'll get worn under black clothes, and washed with black clothes. So it'll take at most a few weeks for all those pretty white ribbons to turn to a dirty gray and make the bra look dirty even when clean, and older than it is. For this one, it took exactly one day..

This top is very comfortable, it smooshes everything in the front. I'd say ... the band runs tts to tight-ish, hard to tell if the cups run small-ish. I have the same size in the CHP and it fits well, even with the asymmetry pads in. However, EM sizing for me is quite all over the place, needing different sizes in different cuts (in the unpadded bras I tried I would have needed a good few sizes up).

What I particularly like is that everything is completely brought to the front of the body, which leaves my arms particularly free to move about. There isn't even an underwire to interfere! And it provides a nice shape and quite a bit of lift.

As a downside, the long row of hooks and eyes in the front is visible under clothing, and it takes a while to get them all hooked. Also, the straps are quite short - for me they're ok, but I have them loosened almost to the maximum.

But overall, it's a good wireless option.

    • I think its intended to be a sleep bra

    • Your review compels me to purchase a sleep top....in a different fabric ;-) It is frustrating how colors bleed.

    • 1

Yes, you're right dbmamaz, it's meant to be a sleep top! Tbh, I would size up if it's meant for sleeping. I impulse bought it more to try something comfortable and wireless mostly for lounging around the house, but I think it also works for outside :)
Just to note, the colours of the bra itself don't bleed, it seems to be good quality. I just wore it under a black t-shirt and the colour from the tshirt left some black marks on the bra.. I don't know if it's just me unlucky, but it happens often with my black clothes :/

    • Do you recommend getting this in your unpadded or padded size?

    • I'm sorry, I don't really know how it compares to unpadded EM bras because none of the them work for me.. Regarding padded, I only have the CHP for comparison - both in size 38GG and the CHP runs a bit larger (but then again, the CHP is known to run larger). Compared to other UK bras, my usual size is 36GG. I would recommend sizing up, especially if you want to use it for sleeping and want a more comfortable fit. However, being wireless makes the sizing a bit more flexible.

This bra style has lovely vibrant colours, and Ewa's usual high quality. The cups are very projected, both bottom and middle of the cup and very open on top, so the bra is friendly for top fullness. The cups are lined with cotton and have cookie pockets (removable cookies included). The band is made from two layers of thick jersey and mesh and the band feels very stable. The wires are not too narrow, the cup width of 17.2cm is higher than the average cup width of EM's in this size.
The fit is true to size and true to the usual EM CHP cut, but at least from my experience the CHP runs larger than the other EM cuts. The fit is not right for me, so I'll be listing it.

    Didn't fit

I just like the way the S style looks, and while 85HH (the size originally recommended to me) was a disaster, I decided to try 85GG and see if it'd work for me. I've been having good luck in the 80GG/85G/85GG area for CHP, so it stands to logic that about the same size would have potential.

It's not perfect, but it's certainly way better than the 85HH S was on me.

The cups are just about the right height for my breasts - the top of the cup doesn't really extend above the curve of my boobs while they're situated in the bra, which is good! However, the ... cups are not quite deep enough - the gore doesn't tack, though pushing it down doesn't cause any quadboob. With the cookies in, there's about a finger and a half of space there; without the cookies it's smaller but still not tacking.

The band is closer to a 36 than a 38; once again, inconsistency remains consistent in EM bras. Wires could stand to be a slight bit narrower for me but work.

The color of the bra is a pretty darker tan; too dark for a nude on me, but a good nude shade just the same. The fabric has a similar pattern on it to the S Kamea, which I like. The outer fabric is very stretchy, though, so it wrinkles a lot when the bra is on. The button accents are cute, but I think they look a bit cheap.

In all - cute bra, and I'm closer to figuring out what I should be wearing in S, but I'm not yet decided if this one is a keeper or not.

After having the S cut I tried not work out, I decided to give CHP a try. 85GG is the closest to my size that the CHP is available in without going for custom orders or anything like that, so I decided to give it a go.

The cups are still too tall - without the inserts, I wouldn't be able to wear the bra. But with them in, the extra height is pretty minimal and with a t-shirt on is basically unnoticeable. A keeper!

I like the deep red color - it's much less pink and more red than it appears in pictures on EM's site. I'd've prefered ... a bright pink, but red works too. The detailing is simple - deep navy on the seams and underwire channels, deep navy lace at the top of the cup, and bright pink bows on the straps and gore. It's not quite sexy, but is cute at the same time.

The fit is pretty good, other than the cup height. Wires are actually slightly wider than I had expected, but not too wide for me. The band is stretchy and like the last 85-band EM I tried, likely actually somewhere between a 36 and 38 in length. Which is fine for me, as my snug underbust is usually around 36.5. The pocket for the pads is kind of annoyingly-placed and getting them in can be tricky, but not a huge issue. I did find that the end of the wire channels, under my arms, feels...weird? Like, it's not poking my arm pit, but I don't think it's 100% flat? I'm not sure. It looks okay, but it's rubbing my arm a bit. Though likely that won't be an issue with an actual shirt on.

It's comfy to wear, and as I said, the extra height is hidden with a shirt on. It also made my breasts look *much* larger. Like we're talking a cup or two more, thanks to both the padding and the inserts. I really don't need the extra oomph that much - I wear a 36HH already - but it's pretty damn impressive.

It ain't perfect, but it's definitely good enough, and I think CHP is my EM cut. Now I'm just wondering if going down to an 85G will get the cup height low enough without sacrificing the rest of the fit.

    • Oh, good, I'm so glad the half cups work better

    • I definitely think that going down in cup size will solve the fit and make it perfect. I have this bra and it's one of my favourites!

    • Thank you so much for your nice and thorough review! I only figured the hooks and eyes closure are more accommodating for size fluctuations and a very nice improvement from regular bikini tops and not so much a cheap solution....

    • pudding - yes, that is a 'positive' for some as it allows you to adjust, just like a normal bra, but it's more of an aesthetic. Many people would feel 'strange' wearing their bra in public, and having the hooks & eyes on the back just makes it look like a bra. I'm not sure I'm all that bothered by it, but I do think it'd look nicer with a large black clasp on the back. Thank you for reading & commenting! Cheers! :)

4 columns of hooks and the band is small for a 85/38. Definitely size up if you are a true 38. Love the way this bra looks in person. Straps are fully adjustable all the way up.

Band felt stretchier than the 85GG Karmelki I tried on at the same time, good for those who like a firm 38 band. 4 columns of hooks. Cup felt shallower and smaller than the Karmelki.

This bra is gorgeous, I feel like I'm not wearing a bra…and my breast are at its own place, well supported. Nice cleavage and a natural shape. The wires are tall and solid, they work wonderfully. They are a bit narrow for me, but better than panache wide wires.
I've bought this bra for special occasions but I would have gone with a cup size up. From 85H the cup has 2seams instead of one and esthetically I prefer one seam. For everyday use I will try 85H.

As soon as I saw this new bra I had to order it. I love the purple and the black lace.
The underwires are too narrow and short for me and the band is not firm enough because of the fabric it is made. Also I hate the projected shape of this bra…I don't feel at ease. I believe it isn't appropriate for larger cup sizes, especially if you don't' like emphasize your bust.
The positive things: it has removable pads and the straps are solid and fully adjustable.

Eeekkkk! I am in love. I never thought I could successfully wear a pl due to soft fob, full in centre, close set boobs. But this is great, I do not fall out of it at all, I don't even have to readjust. I took the band in a few inches and now it's perfect. Love the look of this bra. Makes great cleavage, great, not in your face, but still noticeable cleavage. I look forward to trying more ewa pls.

It is comfortable and seems to fit me except at the top of the cups and the top of the gore does not tack flat to me.
    Are the cups too big?
The straps feel a touch to wide. In my arm pits.
I will move them inward a few cms.
    Any advice?

This is my first EM bra and I was very lucky to get it from another Bratabase user. I was quite sure it would not be my size but it was a great way to get to know the make, style and size - since there are so many issues and questions about EM bras.
So, whatever I say here please take into account that this bra is not my proper size.
I think the bra is beautifully constructed in every aspect. The option of having detachable straps is great, although it does mean that they are placed quite far apart. The padded straps are very comfortable and the lift ... and support are amazing.
The band is 38 and I am used to wearing a 36 in other brands, it feels rather tight but I can still fasten it in the loosest hook although it obviously feels better with an extender.
I look foward to getting this bra or a similar style in my size.
I am rating this as good comfort and appearance since I think that is what it is wearing the wrong size and I would expect both to be excellent in the proper size.

This bra is marked as not fitting, which is technically true but doesn't tell the whole story. I'm between sizes right now, so I decided to go with a larger cup and pad the difference instead of overspilling a smaller cup. That, in fact, is why I picked this bra, which has a provision for removable pads. With one pad in the larger side, and two in the smaller side, there is only a tiny bit of gaping. It's a bra to grow into, instead of out of.

It has the same wide straps that I appreciate from the CH purple, which I own in ... 36GG (I do spill out of the top of that, but the band size is comfortable - the CH Lilia band seems to run very tight as I wear a 34 band in most bras and a 36 in most Ewa bras but need a 38 for the Lilia). It comes with extra straps and I'm not sure if I like that, as in the past I've had removable straps slide loose. I will just have to wait and see, I suppose.

There is some rather pronounced boning on the back near where the straps attach which sticks down in almost a point. I've found that this pointed shape pokes me quite badly, leaving small welts. They do go away, but it isn't so comfortable. This is also the first bra I've ever had where the underwires don't seem to sit on my ribcage right, and may need bending.

I get the same magnificent shape I have come to expect from Ewa's CH bras, so I have no complaints there!

This is the size recommended to me by the Ewa Michalak size calculator. It was enormously too large for me.

As far as quality, I would place it about on par with a Cacique bra. The fabric seemed kind of cheap and some of the seams were puckered.

As far as cup measurements go, the cups are very tall. So do not think that because the width and depth are right, it will necessarily fit you.
