This is an absolutely stunning bra. The fabric is much darker than the online photos; a sort of deep, muted teal. The trim is described as gold but is only a shade or two lighter than my (Anglo) skin. The band is pretty snug on me, but Curvy Kates have a habit of stretching quickly. Unfortunately, this bra has very wide wires, even for a wearer like me who has a lot of underarm tissue. It also has rather shallow, small-feeling cups. In the JJ, the wires are within tolerance and do not poke, though they rest about a half inch or so beyond the breast tissue. I would need at least a K to avoid overspill when properly scooped, however, possibly a KK. Once again, Curvy Kate seems best-suited for the very wide but quite shallow, without much top fullness.
Do you know how it compares to the Caribbean bikini? The one I have comes up SO high under the arms, I'm hesitant to try another CK bikini. And the wires were wide as well.
This one comes up less high under the arms and the wires are quite a bit narrower. You can compare the measurements on here as I've inputted them from both bras :-)
Not my favourite bra, mostly because I find the shape a little odd. Because the cup is cut lower in front, I find that it gives me a very flat bottom heavy look and very separated. You can see this effect on the models. The wires are also very wide on this bra. I do remember trying on a smaller cup but it was too small also
Pretty bra, comes up a touch too high in the armpits so it rubs just slightly by the end of the day. Still very comfortable though. It doesn't hoik your boobs up to your chin, if that's what you're looking for, but it is supportive and gives a natural, rounded kind of shape.
