    Didn't fit

First impression upon removing from the package: Aw poo, this is so tiny

Band: Very snug. Couldn't fasten it myself, and my husband had to attach an extender to get it shut. Didn't even stretch to 32". Nice wide 4 hook closure though.

Cups: as this is a newer season CK, the wires are narrow-ish/average (narrower than old CK). Bottom of the cup was very shallow on me. My boobs immediately started pushing it down to find more room, so I couldn't jump around like I'd planned to test its stay-up-ness, but it did have wide silicone strips on the top and bottom of the wings/band. Seemed to flatten me ... out. Gore was fairly high. Didn't tack on me, partly from the cups not fitting and partly because I'm too close set. No cleavage in this bra. Top of the cups fit ok-ish without the straps, but once the straps were on they cut in.

Appearance: Pretty. not 'super fancy wow I need that now' pretty, but considering it's a basic bra, it has nice detailing.

Overall, if you want to try it, I'd recommend sizing up in the band, and possibly a cup unless you are shallow. If you're fairly/very projected or very close set, move along. 'this is not the bra you're looking for'

      make me depressed
Well.. I 'm shallow and I ordered 28J not 28HH after see the model pics I decided to order on this way
do you think this could be fail?

    • 1

It could be that I didn't have cleavage because it was pressing me flat. Since my breasts didn't have room in the bottom they spread out to the sides.
I think it might still work for you. I can't say for sure but it's worth a shot. Maybe you could wear little pads if it's only a little big?

Bottoms of cups are shallow. Sides of cups come up too high for me. And I don't quite fill the sides or the tops in this size. I'm not a fan of bands whose edges are much tighter than the rest of the band which creates extra rolls (on a squishy person like myself) and pressure points that dig in rather than distributing the weight across the band.

I have a couple of this style in 32G that are currently my daily bras. I still have to reverse scoop (scooping outwards, rather than inwards) throughout the day, but they're wearable and currently the best I've got.

I don't think a strapless bra exists for a narrow and projected shape? You can see this bra from the pictures just doesn't match my shape.

I can see why this bra is often recommended. It's about the price of a Polish bra (like about the same price as an Ewa Michalak from Levana bratique), but it's not the quality of a Polish bra.

I wish the band was wider, I think I would feel more secure.

The underwires are very narrow on the side, but the cups are very TALL: I think that's where a lot of the cup volume goes. I don't fill out the bottom ... of the cups, or the top corners.

The band is definitely small. I mean, I understand they have to do this to have the strapless bra stay up; I stretched the band to 29" and I can wear it with an extender.

I think I would probably have to make my own strapless bra for my shape. I know Ewa Michalak used to make a strapless bra, but not anymore.

The bottom of the cup does have cookie pockets, if one wants to add chicken cutlets, fyi.

I also had the tall cup issue with all the strapless bras I tried. And many run very tight in the band. I found decent success with the wonderbra strapless. The "wires" (I think they may be plastic pieces?) Are in the shape of hands that work to push the tissue forward. It's a moulded cup so it's not a perfect fit but it stays in place all day and is very supportive.

    • 1

WildWolff , ohhhh. thank you for the suggestion!

    • 2

Strapless for projected shapes is tough! The physics of supporting a cup with band tension only requires more compression and less forward projection. But once you get to a heavier breast size it's hard for regular fabric and foam to compress a projected shape and push it upward that way. I've never found one that works for me. Really want an overbust corset but they're really hard to find off-the-rack for short torsoes. I wonder if that might work for you, though, being taller!

    • 1

Yeah, the concept of a strapless bra is to bring everything close to the chest making them wide and shallow. I think it’s Dreams and Underthings that said strapless bras for narrow and projected breasts is a shape mismatch by design (and function). Like said above.

Calluna , Dreams and Underthings was right and I had to learn the hard way, lol!

Measurements to be added. Pics to be added.

I'm on a hunt for a nice one-piece swimsuit and wrapsody came highly recommended but honestly, I should have known this would be less than ideal.

As long as the 'wrap' part of the wrapsody is wrapped around my neck, I will say that it doesn't fit half bad. However, as soon as the wrap comes down, so do the cups, they pretty much collapse and literally slide down, and the boobs sag comically. They should have added removable bra straps to this so that us with large chest can also wear the wrap under the boobs. I'm considering doing it myself heh. It's just bad design.

I doubt I could swim in this.

Otherwise it is very pretty and I imagine on a smaller chest looks absolutely beautiful.

    • The reason I never tried this style was that the fear that it won't do much in support if you don't do up the wrap. They should add extra straps. Most strapless bras come with a set of straps to remove if you want. To counter act gravity a strapless needs to be firm and tight (aka uncomfortable ) and that is not what you want in a swimsuit.

I had the non wired plunge swimsuit and it was suprisingly supportive even in JJ cup. They still make this style in other colours I think. 34J/JJ - Curvy Kate » Poolside Non Wired Plunge Swimsuit (CS010

    - 32F/FF(recommended by abrathatfits calculator)
    - narrow root
    - projected
    - slightly full on top
    - center fullness

this is the first time that I bought a bra by overseas delivery

    *REVIEW*
    - BAND: The band is strong and moderatly tight. It was hard to fasten at first, but I think it will be okay because it gets longer as I wear it.
    - CUP: TOO big for me... I picked the wrong size. When I ordered this bra , I was bigger than I am now and the calculator said I was 32G. I ordered 32GG because 32G might be small. But now I lost about 2kg compared to then. The top part has space and the bottom part wrinkles.
    - DESIGN: It is a very simple and basic black moulded design. I like the light leopard pattern.

    Fits

I have narrow, projected breasts (particularly centre projection) and I find that going up a cup size in Curvy Kate (at least in the new styles, with more consistent sizing) produces really good fit. The wires aren't particularly wide... The cup fabric is very firm, but also quite soft and delicate looking. The shape is very nice and uplifted but it doesn't produce a ton of cleavage. Bras with cups that fit rarely do... I don't love the pink accents. I may remove the (IMO oversized) hot pink bows, but there's no getting rid of the pink that embroidered into the upper cup lace. The lace is quite ... unusual - a bit eyelashy at the top of the upper cup and it appears to be appliqued. The upper cup is taped at the top (on the underside of the lace) which produces a firmer fit (might be useful to those with soft breast tissue). I hope they do this bra in a different colourway. I'll certainly try it and I bet I'll get a lot of use out of this almost-black bra.

*sigh* I wanted a red bra and this one was in the budget (and free shipping/returns). No measurements for this size so it was a gamble but others said the cup ran large so I ordered my usual.
Band is too snug for comfort, an extender would fix it if that were the only issue.
Cups are too shallow and small overall. I'd need at least a 32HH (with extender) or 34H in this I think.
Wires measure a good width (narrow-average) but get distorted too wide from the band.
Gore is the perfect height for me. It's low but not dangerously so.
Red color is beautiful and this one has the j-hook for racerback.
Fabric feels soft but snags easily
This one is going back, good thing I didn't order the brief too.

I'd like to start by saying that this bra is GORGEOUS. The beautiful raspberry color stole my heart, and I love the subtle leopard print.
The band isn't quite as generous as the Princess, and I found the 32 to be sufficient. I don't know if I'd recommend sizing down for this one.
The biggest problems I found with this bra were the cup depth, the wire height and the wire width. I have narrow roots with a pretty good amount of projection, and there was a lot of space on the bottom for me that could just not be filled. The wing height wasn't too bad, and it didn't ... stab me or anything but it did come up rather high and on someone shorter than me (I'm 5'4") that would probably be a problem. And as I mentioned, my breasts are pretty narrow so my boobs would fall right into the wires after scooping and swooping. However, someone with rider roots than I would probably like the width.
This bra did give me a good, rounded shape (just what I'd expect of a molded bra) and someone with wider breasts than I (and an appreciation for subtle leopard print!) would probably love this.

Knowing that they are discontinuing all the styles using this base, I wanted a few to replace my too small but much beloved gold Tempt Me. So, I tried this colorway twice. Once I got what I suspect was a manufacturer's defect, and then I got this one, which was more on par for what I expected.

    Pros:
Pushup for those of us who aren't B cups (and I need it cuz my boobs HATE each other)!
    Comfortable*
    Has 3 Hooks (in GG+)
Low center gore for us petite and prominent sternum types (I'm both).
    Pretty color combinations.

    Cons:
    * Earlier I said it was comfortable, and this is true...to an extent. If you are of ... the narrow shoulder, narrow chest variety (if I measure from armpit to armpit across my chest I'm just a smidge under 12" wide--that's 30cm for you metric gals) you will HATE this bra. The straps will start under your armpit and will try to twist out of it--it's hard to describe, but you'll know it if you have it. Other than that, the bra is comfortable.

The construction quality on this style is kind of all over the map, though definitely hanging out more in the "not exactly excellent" camp. There's been snags in the lace, loose threads, etc. on every single one of these that I've ordered, and I've ordered 4 or maybe even 5 now I think. Even that beloved gold one has it, but I overlooked it because it doesn't really affect wearability, it's just a nitpick that bugs me as a seamstress. There may also be some issues with some of them getting the sizing mislabeled, but I would suspect that this is an issue that will be very unlikely for you to encounter.

I also have a bit of that "orange in a glass" effect that I didn't really understand until now, but I could (and would!) have ignored it if it weren't for the straps being set impossibly wide. I hope that helps!

I don't know how they did it, but they took an adorable bra and made it into a boob-flattening bra of despair. I realize I'm not the bustiest gal out there, but this bra made my boobs look practically non-existent. If you are looking to minimize your assets though, this might just be the bra you are looking for.

    Pros:
Comfortable (seriously, I could have probably slept in this thing if I cut the straps off and got a bigger cup size).
Straps look to be easy to move in if they are too wide set
Nice stretchy band (this could go either way, depending on your personal preference--personally I love breathing ... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> )
    Pretty*

    Cons:
*This bra's appearance made me think of an old school corset, missing only the heaving bosoms (which I hoped to provide). This, sadly, is deceiving. Even my not-terribly-observant husband was like "where'd your boobs go?" And I had no answer...maybe it's a magical boob-eating vortex in there or a pair of tiny magicians, I don't know. Fortunately it's not a permanent disappearing act.

For me, the straps were too wide set, so narrow shoulder/chest ladies be forewarned. However!!! It looks like it should be easy to move the straps inward to make them more comfortable, but you'll likely lose whatever lift you may have gotten (assuming you had any left after the vortex got done with you).

I'd say that you'll need to size up at least one cup size in this one. I haven't had as much trouble with needing to size up in the showgirl collection as others, but this one was most assuredly too small in the cup, but in an odd way. I had a pretty minor amount of quad-boob, but the center gore wouldn't even come close to laying flat...perhaps the cups were angled wrong for my shape? My boobs are very close-set at the root, but quickly head east/west after that, and I think the wires were too far apart at the bottom of the gore, even though they were fine at the top. As a reference, I generally prefer as deep of a plunge as possible, and the wires still need to be fairly close together on the plunge bras.

This bra (the black with gold) is a bit tighter in the band than my Emily (blush) in the same size. I have only tried one romance and one Emily, so I don't know if it's due to the shape or the colour, since black bras can be a bit tighter.
I can comfortable put in on with no bulging or sliding around of my breasts. The band is probably too tight. I can wear it, but for a whole day it would be too tight. A size bigger would definately be too loose though, so I'll wear this with an extender until it stretches. I'm also ... in the process of losing weight, and I think that losing just a few kilos will make the band more comfortable.
The center gore is not too high, which I love, since I usually have a problem with it. It doesn't dig in and it sits (very) flat against me. My boobs sit close, but my breastbone doesnt have any tissue or fat on it, so it does press a bit to hard on the bone. This is because the band is a little tight. It doesn't dig in.
The wings has an excellent height and don't cut me at the armpit/arm (where the strap is attached) as many bras do. It's lower than the Emily which do cut me there (in case you have the Emily and you're looking to buy the romance).
When I lie down on my back the boobs do escape some towards the armpit, but generally they actually stay in place mostly.
I think it's true to size. The 32 band is a little too tight and I measure 33", so that seems reasonable. The cups don't cut in and they are not too deep and not too shallow.
My bigger boob is slightly more pointy than my smaller, but it's barely noticeable, and I think it's due to the cup size being barely big enough of my bigger boob. A cup size bigger would be too big though. A too small cup can make the breasts look pointy in the Curvy Kate. I really really don't like the pointy shape at all, but the slight pointy-ness is acceptable and will probably change when the bra has been washed a few times and most likely also with future weightloss.

This bra is just lovely, I'm very FOT so it's a tad scandalous in some clothes but the openness on top really gets along with my shape. This is one of the early Thrill Me's. It's shallower than the newer Curvy Kates in general but deeper than the more recent Tease Me/Thrill Me's and is more open on top than the newer ones. The band is also stretchier according to Bratabase, so it fits more like a 34GG. The result is nicely rounded assets that you can't really argue with! Extremely comfortable too and despite having narrow shoulders the shoulder straps are perfect, which is wonderful on a half cup! I really love the look of this bra and I'm very grateful to BronteBeach who gifted it to me in a time of need! Thank you, you are a bra angel!!!

Probably the most supportive strapless bra I have ever tried for larger breasts (and I've tried a lot). Unfortunately I only had one occasion to wear it before my bra size changed, and now it doesn't fit me. But if I have another occasion where I need a strapless, I'd definitely get this again in a different size.

Amazon Prime Wardrobe: Swimsuit Edition! (Where I order bras/bikinis available on Amazon Prime Wardrobe to try on and add more data to Bratabase!)
My shape: FOB, projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders

I had a heck of a time measuring the cup depth on this one! It seems a lot deeper towards the top, but I think it's mostly because of the different mesh fabric. The bottom 3/4 of the cup is a padded stretchy swimsuit material, and the top 1/4 is a mesh stretchy fabric with an edging of black elastic to hold it closer to the breast. On my larger breast, I had some quadding because of the elastic ... there. Even though this top is a cup size larger than my usual, it still gave me some quadding; it's shallower and wider than I am used to.

The bikini itself is cute, if sort of forgettable. The mesh detail is a nice touch. There is a dart along the bottom edge of each cup, and the cups themselves only have one vertical seam along the middle and one horizontally across the top where the mesh fabric starts. The padding of the bikini isn't sewn all the way across the top, so technically, with some skill and patience, you could remove the padding and have a soft cup bikini. It would be very thin, and very revealing if you got cold, however!

Personally, Curvy Kate bras and swimsuits tend to be a big shape mismatch for me. I wanted to try some of their suits anyways, because why not?

I have FOB, somewhat saggy boobs (which happens when you gain and lose 30 lbs ^_^https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />, and the main issue I'm having is the cups being a little too tall. After swooping and scooping, and standing up straight, I do fill the cups, but lean over a little and they gape at the top because my tissue is soft. For FOT or even fullness people this would fit true to size.

I think I need to accept that I was not meant to wear plunge bras.
This bra has everything I love: 3-part cup, flexible shortish narrowish wires, no lace, no patterns, nothing rigid about it, super lightweight, comfy, a reasonable price tag AND gives me a decent shape. AND it kind of fits (band just a little bit tight, 32FF feels better). AND (while I'm all for neutrals) this blue is to die for.
    My holy grail.

...well, if only my breasts didn't spill all over the center of my chest (hmm, or maybe that's just how a plunge is meant to behave?).

This was recommended to me for a nice rounded silhouette. Looking at the measurements, the cups seem to run a bit large compared to Florence (my usual go-to) and with the stretchy lace, I ordered a size down and it's a great fit. There's lots of projection at the wire. The band is a little stretchy, but over all a very comfortable bra.

The cup size is nice. Covers enough, but not so much that it can't work with low cut shirts.

The band of this bra is too loose for me. Even worse, it shrunk along the horizontal seam on the cups, creating automatic in cup quadding, which makes the bra unwearable.
