Love this strapless bra! It is a cup size smaller than my normal wear size, but it still works great with regular adjusting. I caught this half price, so I got the closest size I could get because I'm just not willing to pay $70. The band runs very tight. I am a loose 38, and I still need an extender. But for my FOT, projected, center-full, short-rooted breasts, this is the best fit I can find. The wires are quite narrow and keep me totally front and center, even making my boobs look much smaller. I could use more depth in the cup - A LOT MORE. ... Because of this and the too small cup size, this bra is constantly pushed down by my heavy breasts, quite annoying. The tops of the cups don't really dig in much, aside from the fact that this is too small as I said earlier! I definitely wouldn't say it is comfortable in the band, but no strapless bra ever really is so what can you expect. I really like the mesh overlay; the bra looks very high quality. It comes with two black straps that I won't need for my purposes. It's the closest fit I've found, but I would like something better - looking at you Comexim and Ewa Michalak.

    • Is this the bra that is like a burgundy color? I was going to get it from Zulily, but a lot of the reviews said it was wide.

    • Prettyncharmeuse No, it's hot pink, but there is a black mesh overlay and am orange bow in the center. All of the reviews that I saw on Bratabase and beyond said it was quite narrow and I definitely agree.

    • That's interesting. When I look at the measurements for 30dd, the width is 6.3 inches, which for that size is very wide. My TR Frankie (which is considered wide) measures at 5.25 inches, so the Neve is a full inch wider. That's why I didn't get it.

    • It's really wide in 30f too. Maybe they have better scaling in some of the other band sizes?

    • Prettyncharmeuse and revisa Hmmm, I'm sorry. Maybe I'm wrong. Well, if it is wide, I think it's the best fit on the market that I've been able to find in a strapless.

    • Just because it's wide in our sizes doesn't mean it's not narrow in yours! :)

This would be a great summer bra, it's made of very light mesh. Unfortunately this thin and stretchy material doesn't provide enough support for my soft and saggy breasts, so there is in-cup quadding at the seam between the cup mesh and lace. This is a shame because otherwise this bra is very comfortable to wear and encapsulates my projected, narrow-rooted breasts well.

I got this in the mail yesterday and was super excited. Even more exciting was that it was SO CLOSE to fitting. It's definitely not perfect, but it's the closest yet.

What's good about the bra: The material is fantastic. It's unlined, so I was sort of worried it would be thin and flimsy (as that has been my experience with other unlined bras) but it's not. It's strong. What's awesome about that is that it's still really soft, comfortable, and light feeling. It's also gorgeous! I'm not a huge fan of camo or camo-like prints, but this is beautiful. The purple is so rich. Love it!

The negatives: The ... gore poked me a little cause it's so tall. That very well may be a sizing issue, as it's about a cup size too big. I also had some renegade flesh falling over the wings under my arms, so I think the wings are a bit short and/or unsupportive. I solved that by scooting the underwire over (there's a good centimetre or more of spare space for it) under the armpit a bit, but that made it unbearably uncomfortable, so I immediately put it back. I also think that I prefer to have 3-4 columns of hooks and this beauty only has two.

Overall, it's a super bra. I love it so much I'm debating whether or not to re-list it. (It's pretty close, right? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />)

    • yetanotherthing, I am *very* interested in what people say about this bra and how it fits you. I have very similar fit issues, at least in this specific instance.

I'm wondering, actually, if the cup size isn't a little small, or at least the cup width is a little too small. I say that because it looks like the band is too tight, which could be spreading the underwires a little, distorting them, which in turn could be causing the wrinkling in the cup bottom. It also looks like there's some slight lifting of the band away from your chest in photos #9 and #12, although that might be because you have your arm(s) lifted.

The upper cup seems to fit perfectly as seen in the side shots and the overhead shot.

I'm really surprised the back band is so narrow. I'm totally with you on the 3-4 columns of hooks.

If it were me, I would keep this bra. It looks very good on you.

      --Kristine

    • MmeKristine

I've put it on the fit check ( http://www.bratabase.com/troubleshoot/dlpbl/ ) and gotten a couple of responses, which is where the cup size too big theory comes from. The responses were very helpful for sure.

My snug underbust measurement is 35.5", and this stretches to 38"+, so I'm not sure that the band is too tight. Then again, this is my second or third attempt, so I could very well not have any idea what I'm talking about :)

I was wondering if the bottom wrinkles paired with the top smoothness was an indicator of shape at all, since I'm still really lost in that area. I keep getting referred to the tutorials and explanations on it, but I just don't understand how to relate that back to my own boobs.

    • Well, that's that! I completely trust wendybien when it comes to *all* my issues.

      --Kristine

    • 3

The band tightness issue is tricky in some brands because the length you can stretch it to with your hands is not the same as the length it will comfortably reach once it's hooked on a human torso... does that make sense? So, I would go by whether it feels too tight, or comfortable. If you're comfortable in a range of normal everyday situations (walking briskly, taking a deep breath, lounging on couch, etc.) then it is likely a good length for you. If on the other hand it starts to feel really uncomfortable then it's likely too small!

There are several reasons that a cup can wrinkle so I'm hesitant to make any pronouncements about what it means here. One possibility is the band being too tight, as Kristine says--it pulls everything out of whack and the distortion makes the fabric ripple/wrinkle. Another possibility is simply the "orange in a glass" effect: the bottom section of the cup is not deep enough for the breast to settle into it fully, so the boob rests a little higher in the cup than it's supposed to. This can make a cup look like it fits even when it's too big, because since the breast is sitting higher than it is supposed to, it nestles nicely against the upper part of the cup, which then sits smoothly.

I had read this style ran small in the cups, so I went a cup size up. Well, it didn't run small for me. Too bad, because it's made out of a very comfy, soft fabric.

I can't really speak as to whether the shape works on me but the cups do seem fairly wide and shallow.

I had zero expectations that this bra would fit at all, and in fact, it turned out to be one of the best I've found so far! The cups fit almost perfectly...there is some very slight gaping at the top stretch lace, but not enough to be a dealbreaker for me. The band is quite snug, so I think I'll try it with an extender for a bit until it breaks in a bit more. The most exciting part is that the bottom of the cups are the best fit I've found so far! No wrinkling at all, and the wire does not budge from my IMF! Wow! For that reason alone I think it's a keeper.

I'm projected with center fullness and this is the best fitting bra I own, in that most of my breast tissue is held within the cups and the wire sits in my infra mammary fold. There is a tiny hint of quadboob at top of cups but overall this is a good fit for my breast shape, though I do find the shape is too pointy and projected.

But, after wearing for just a couple of hours, I find this bra uncomfortable, rather stiff. I've washed it a couple of times and it hasn't become more comfortable. Something about the wires feels constraining, whereas my Panache Jasmine gives a similar shape and feels much more comfortable. This is not a bra I can wear all day.

My breast shape is narrow, projected, even, centre-full, soft and pendulous. This bra is an almost-fit, but the cups don't have enough volume to accommodate my breasts - there is not enough room at the apex or in the centre. This bra is trying to squish my breasts up into a more rounded shape, so there spillage of tissue in the centre and the gore is floating. It seems that the cups are not a good match for my shape, or I need to go up in size. I'm afraid if I go up in cup size, the wires will be too wide. At this size, the wires are decently narrow and not too high under my arms.
This is one of the more comfortable Panache bras that I've tried, however the band is pretty tight for a 38 - I used an extender to be comfortable.

Not quite for me - the top edge of the cups where it turns into lace edging hits me just wrong and cuts in, creating an odd ridge that's very noticeable under clothing. Straps were also too far apart for comfort, hovering over my shoulder blades.

I have to say I'm not really a pink person. The fabric of this bra is really weird. It feels cheap and I'm not sure how well it will wear. The leopardskin bow on the front is going to have to come off. But all that aside, I am going to keep this bra because it is the best fitting bra I have worn for years. I just hope it wears ok.

Band fits very snug compared to some brands. I measure 40" snug underbust and vary from 36 to 40 band depending on style. I would need a 40 band in this style if they made it. May try Sculptresse DeeDee which looks very similar.

It technically fits I guess, but I think since I am in the middle of weight loss and I have a bit of wrinkling at the lace before I scoop and swoop I might want to see how the 38F fits but not sure if it's a good idea to do that. The seam in the middle of the cup will make it hard to wear under a lot of clothing.

I am so in love with this bra. I decided to go with the 38FF in this one because I read the cups ran small and I'm in between a 36 and 38FF so after checking how it fit someone that has similar sizes and seeing how it fit them I went with the larger possibility to try. Glad I did because I am so in love with this bra in every imaginable way.

This bra is pretty comfortable even though the cups are too big for me. I don't usually wear molded bras so I can't really compare this one to others. It's smooth under clothing and the fabric feels soft and smooth on my skin. I don't completely fill out the cups though, especially at the top. Not surprising as I am FOB, but so much that it's probably just too big. I'd probably fit better into a smaller size, but I'm keeping it since it was a great clearance sale deal.

I like the open-at-the-back design of this babydoll, which allows you to put it on as you would a bra. The bra portion fits pretty much as you'd expect a normal Marcie bra to fit — tight band, projected, medium-narrow wires, decently roomy on top. I know that some people have cut the skirt portion off the black babydoll in order to have a black Marcie, and that they (as far as I know) report no problems with the fit.

The skirt is quite short — 43.5cm/17.1in from the lowest part of the gore — and is trimmed all around with the same material as the band. The polka dots on it, unlike the dots on the bra cups, are not raised/embroidered.

The gore is a little narrow and the rather tight band is slowly loosening. The issue with the center gore stabbing into my sternum should be fixed once I bend it out a little. Otherwise, this is my best fitting bra so far. I really like the pleasant rounded shape it gives.
