I love this bra! The Lilac colour is gorgeous! It's just currently too small for me. I tried to size up to 32K but in that size the cups are too tall for me and bother me under my arms. Check out my review on 32JJ - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486) for more info on the bra!

Another beautiful bra that doesn't fit?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed you start having better luck soon.

The Lacey’s always look amazing on you! You inspired me to order one finally.

    • learningaboutbras Thanks :) Size 32Jj would fit me very well in the past, but I still could not get rid of all my extra quarantine weight yet. Would need 32K but cups in that come too high under my arms.

  2. Dina Bra (LN578)

The Bravissimo Dina is a true balconette style. The cups are made of a 3 part construction, the upper part of the cup is not stretchy in this size. There is a nice added fancy strappy detail on the cups. This bra comes up to UK L-Cup. I think it is awesome that Bravissimo tries to offer something a bit more special in their largest size range! The band does run true to size like usual Bravissimo bands. My underbust is currently aroun 31 Inch and this fits me just fine. I think that Bravissimo bras run generally 1-2 cup sizes smaller compared to other UK brands. I ... can wear a 32J in Elomi but size up to 32JJ in Bravissimo.

The shape is very good, centered and projected. I have to say that on bigger days there could be just slight quadboob between the cup Edge and the extra strap, especially if you have soft boobs… the strap is very stretchy though so it should not cut in much. It's barely visible. Just saying that this could be an issue in some cases. On smaller boob days I get slight gaping towards the shoulder straps because the bra is just quite tall (like all Bravissimo bras). I lost just a tiny bit of boob volume lately so the gaping became a bit more obvious. I'm not sure if I already need a size 32J in this now. The bra was a perfect fit 2 months ago though…it's still wearable now.

One Thing about the extra straps at the gore…if you like lower cut necklines they will show. I like the look, it's cute. But it only goes with black tops and Maybe Grey ones. Now in summertime I just find myself not reach for this bra so much. So for a bra like this I recommend getting a black colored one if you want to show it off.

update after 1 year 9months of owning this bra. I have worn it a lot and it is time to retire. It held up well being in heavy rotation for over 6 months and worn occasionally later. It just recently got a bit unsupportive. The wires stayed put.
I decided to retire this bra, I removed it's good wires to put in a weaker bra and will use the non wired Dina as a sleep bra now until it falls apart.

What a good value! Do they still make this?

    • 2

cupandahalf Sadly no, it's discontinued. It was a good bra, I wish I could still get this. Actually got it for 22£ sale price so even better value. I still have two 32Js that are in my "box for size changes" but currently I'd rather need a 32K :S The Dina wires I will use on my Elomi Kim to make it hopefully more wearabe!

    Didn't fit

The Gemma bra is a full cup style. I really like the night sky theme. I followed the advice that alidieux gave in her reviews: size down in cup! I would usually order a 32K and got 32JJ in this. Weirdly it is still slightly too big! So I would say you can size down even 2 cups. I did not dare to do this bc I usually have to size up for my FOT boobs. Anyway I decided not to exchange against the 32J because there was other features on this bra that I disliked apart from the fit.
First the band was the stretchiest ... in all 32 band bras I recently tried. I go so far to say I could even get away with a 30 band. I could close the 32 on the tightest hooks with ease.
It's also a thin mesh band and I fear it would stretch out quickly.
I had slight wrinkling on top of cups and on sides and bottom. There was not much side support and it gave a rather wide - slightly east-west shape. The cups came quite high under my arms but it was bearable. The shoulder straps fell too stretchy and like they would stretch ouf quickly and fold in while wearing...
The bra was the least supportive in my recent order.

Aw bummer it wasn’t total fit. The pattern is to die for! I’m a huge fan of outer space.

    • 2

Yes it was my favorite print out of their new releases. I also love space themed bras. The "lighter" material might be less of an issue in a smaller cup.

    32JJ

    Fits

The Lulu is a balconette bra. It features are stretchy lace at the top of the bra. The part is lined in this size with a nude stretchy lace, so the whole part is stretchy.
The band is firm for a 32 band and fits me quite well (31inch underbust). The straps are fully adjustable. I really love the mint color, it's very vibrant.
I don't have anything negative to say about this bra. It is not as tall as my other Bravissimo bras (Lacey, Dina) so it fits me best currently.

The Edge of the top section can cut a bit in on my soft boobs, but it's ... nothing compared to other offenders with tight stretchy lace like 34HH - Elomi » Charley Bralette (4381) so I just ignore it. The cups fit very well, The shape is round and projected. The bra is comfortable and does not hurt me during a full day of wear. I would recommend this bra, but it was discontinued and only a few sizes are left on sale. Also note that the bra is a true half cup below H-cup and only from HH-K it is a balconette bra like on my pictures.

Love this on you. The color is beautiful and the fabric makes it look almost sporty for summer. :)

    • 2

Love the colour and the texture! It looks great on you.

    • 1

I love this. Wish it was in a size near mine.

I second Sovavosi on both accounts. :-)

    • 1

No pain after a day of wear--YAY. Happy dancing for you, alisa

    • 1

Very pretty. Texture is very sporty...uncommon in this colour. It looks fabulous on you.
I'm curious: did you know before ordering that it would be a balcony in your size?

    • 1

I love the look of the Lulu and that's awesome that this is a win for you!!

    • The cups seem to fit quite nicely. Love the blush mint color too. I wish we had Bravissimo store anywhere near. They seem to have projected shape bras.

    • 2

AGBras When I first saw the bra in the sale section I was like: OMG a half-cup up to K-cup… but I know that Bravissimo Always states if their bra is different in bigger cup sizes (if it has extra lining etc.) and with this one they even had a picture there: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/lulu-bra-mint-ln581min/ So I knew what I was buying.

    • I'm sad that they discontinue it! I could imagine this in a light summery pink, a nice bluebell lilac color or a sherbet yellow. Oh it would be so pretty. But Maybe it did not sell too well because it's 2 different bras in one and there was confusion about it? Also imagine being between H and HH and ordering both sizes...

    32JJ

    Fits

I am really on the fence with this Mabel bra, I previously tried it in 32K - Bravissimo » Mabel (LN775) and it was slightly too big. So I exchanged for 32JJ.
While the 32JJ is definitely the right size for me, I am still not super impressed by it.

My shape: narrow / medium root, center full projected, full on top.

So the bra is on the more shallow side, the wire is average width for the size. Luckily the cup height is a bit lower in this size compared to 32K so it does bother me less under my arms. The top section is slightly stretchy ... and adjusts to your shape. The straps are rather narrow for this size and they are very stretchy. The Gemma and Annie bra I tried before had the same straps, but Mabels are a slight improvement since they don't fold immediately like the other ones.

Why I am not in love with this bra? First I am not sure if it's supportive all day as I can only wear it 30min for trial. The stretchy straps kinda dig in already. The band also feels okay but I can fit 1 hand under it already. The cups are not projected enough for me on bottom. Which I can get away with that shape if the bra is tall enough to contain all my breast tissue I am not sure if I would have to adjust the bra a lot during the day if it wants to slide down.
What I noticed: this bra and 32J - Fantasie » Illusion Side Support Bra (FL2982) have very similar fabric and when I put on both over each other they a identical! But I prefer wider straps on the Fantasie.
I am really really on the fence with this one.

I’m a sucker for a blue bra, but I’m all about comfort over all. If the straps are already annoying, you might always be aware of them when you wear it. Since it’s so similar to the Fantasy, maybe the Fantasy is a better choice?

    • 1

Agree with Happy2BraShop , and as you seem to feel yourself as well; you probably won't get much wear out of this if there's multiple issues to begin with.

I do really like the non-fussy, almost 'genderneutral' pinstripe vibes of this bra!

    • I tried it on again yesterday and found it just lacking in uplift immediately after putting it on. I really don't know but I think if you have too FOT boobs these stretchy bras can not support them enough?

    • Happy2BraShop I have 3 Fantasie Illusions here, so I am covered, another reason why I gonna return Mabel. If I had none bra similar to it, I might gave it another chance but the Fantasies are too similar.

    • 2

A great bra and a good fit but one of the hooks already came loose. Still would recommend. Fabric & band are good quality.

I really did not like this bra. The material of the cups was thin and flimsy and not supportive enough for big boobs. The stretch lace on top was very thin and stretchy. It provided no support. I would recommend the regular Lacey and the Lacey Floral those are supportive bras for big boobs.

I kind of like the design.

It was a nice looking bra, in boho style which is not so common on bras. But the materials were bad. I would not even want this in 34G.

    2

    32JJ

    Fits

I exchanged my 34JJ - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486) bra for this size and it fits me very well. The bra features a 3 part cup construction, Bravissimo calls it a full-cup. The straps are centered on this bra so that they don't fall off the shoulders so easily and it's true, they don't ! Also the straps for once don't cut into my arms so much like on other balconette style bras, I'm looking at you Panache Floris...

The cups on this bra are very tall, the wires are rather narrow for the size range. The cups are lined with a nude fabric under a ... pretty red lace fabric. The lace on top of the cups is stretchy, but the nude lining is not stretchy. The bra gives a really nice round shape. What is the best about this bra? I totally Forget that I'm wearing it at least for most of the day. That is a very good things since I'm used to bras that hurt me most of the time!

The cups are really super tall on this bra, now I think even a bit too tall for me. I get some slight gaping where the upper cup meets the straps. (I have lost another 2 cms of bust circumferance since I received this bra. ) So it fits generously even on my PMS boobs. I think that the bra is a bit more shallow in the cups than the other Bravissimo bras so I really need the room at the center of this size and I don't think I can size down yet despite the slight gaping. (none visible on my pics since I took them few weeks ago) Also the bra is a full-cup construction, so it's full coverage and keeps the boobs close to chest. The band is a perfect fit on my 31 Inch (77cm) ribcage moderately snug measured, so If between 2 band sizes I recommend going by the bigger and not size down, the band is firm and tts on this bra.

The Lacey my absolute favorite of all my Bravissimo bras I recently tried. I would repurchase this bra! The only slight downside to this bra is, that since it comes up very tall, that it can show on low cut round necklines, so it's better been worn with V-neck tops.

Update after 6 months of wear at 2 times a week: band unstretched 70cm. Band stretched 85cm.

I like this bra on you. It looks comfortable and pretty. Gorgeous, sumptuous colour. And, you're right: it looks like it would be great under v-neck tees :)
If it fits on all other accounts, I would not be concerned with the gaping at the cup/strap junction. I have this in many bras that I own due to my short steep roots - 2/5 to 3/5 shape.

    • The Lacey is still one of my favorites. I just think that it could hold up a bit better. there is some loose threads from the elastic of the lace already. I only ever handwashed the bra.

---> pls read my edit at the bottom of the review, my feelings about this bra have changed.

I gave this bra a raving review back in spring 2020 when I got my first of these, check out my review of 32J - Bravissimo » Arla Bra (LN680) for more information.
Since then my size was all over the place and I went up in cup size 1-2 cups and maybe also a bit in band as I used to be between 30 -31 underbust and now I'm more around 31-32 underbust.

This Arla bra is a bit too small for me in band. I have to break ... it in with an extender. In hindsight I should have exchanged it for a 34 band, as it still feels very tight.
I really like all about it, the material, the support, the nice shape it gives. It's just that this bra does not do the same magic as my old 32J Arla did. It's after all just a bra - and it hurts me during the day at the underwire and I hope to remove it soon.
Old Arla went to hiking with me. I prefered it over a sport bra. This bra I'm not sure If I wanna wear if I don't have to (if it comes up in my rotation and I feel guilty of owning a bra I paid full price for I don't wear)

I really hope it's just a size thing - maybe that I fluctuate a bit on the larger side and the bra is just a bit too small. I hope it will fit better once I go down a bit in size (hopefully). I could try 32K or 34J/JJ but I don't feel like it currently. I'm not sure if the bra maybe just doesn't work so well above J - cup in general like all bras do. At some point they just fail at support large heavy busts.

Update Dec 2020, after owning the bra for 5 months, it has become one of my faves. I can wear it a full day without issues. It's supportive and comfortable. Since I'm a bit between sizes right now, I wear it with an extender (use 2 extra rows from the extender) and only wear it on my smaller days. I also like how the top edge of the bra underneath has light stretch (not stretchy like some lace bras but just light stretch in cup edge) and it doesn't cut in my FOT boobs as much as other bras who are a bit on the smaller side. I really love and recommend this bra in larger sizes if you like average wide wires - they are in this size just right for me. It is very supportive with a thick band and 4x4 hook closure and also looks really nice, the shape is rounded from the side and front and center (no east west going on) from the front!

    • how many Arla have you tried now in total? is this nr 3 ? I thought you had more for some reason :D

I hope my 34 won't be too snug on me when I get it. It still looks good on you but annoying that it doesn't work for you now :(

    • I have 3 Arlas now. I have kept all 3 and removed tags. The 32J ones were at least ok for the 1-2 months they fitted me.
Argh I hate those nasty size fluctuations. i thought I'm a certain size now but my boobs don't want to stay at that size.

It's a nice bra - I think I just have the wrong size. Band runs like usual in Bravissimo tts to a bit tight. Maybe you can get away even with a 36.

this is a very pretty bra, the pink background looks like its been once white and got accidently dyed in the wash as its completely different to the straps and gore. theres a nice delicate leaf pattern & a very large pink and blue bows in the centre & two tiny ones on the straps. It feels very plastic (but i like that material) and give a very east / west "theryre comming at ya" shape. its very tight on the band for me but im expecting it to stretch like mad, as ive found this make to do in the same cut ie dotty spot and sweet heart. the hooks are poorly heat sealed so i hope that i dont have to take this back as my previous one have scratched me so badly.
will update after a few wears
Realised the mini bows are trying to disguise some poor attachment of the straps
Band already stretched 1/2 inch after 3 wears & 1 wash
Stretched another inch after 2 more washes / 4 wears

The shaping of my waist is much better in this size, as expected. However, as you can also see, the tighter back distorts the wire a bit, making the cup quadro-boob a bit + be even more east/west than it already is (and it's not exactly a cleavage bra as it is), so I will go back to the 34 backed one, and then maybe just hook it tighter at the waist.

  11. Broderie (PA04)

This is my first try with Bravissimo , as they are a little hard to come by in this area. As I had expected, this bra runs about a cup size small, so the 32JJ fits well on my right side and is a little large on the left. The band is a little tight at the moment, but I expect it to stretch. The wires go relatively far back under my arms, but enclose the tissue on the sides without feeling like they want to wrap around my back.

Unlike a lot of the bras I've tried, this one seems to be appropriately deep ... for my breasts and has only a little bit of the "east-west" problem. My breasts do not feel like they're being pressed into my armpit, though the center wire does dig a bit. However, if you do not like the pointy look, this is not the bra for you. The shape is "uptilted torpedo", though not quite as pointy as a retro bra. Since I've been wearing Ewa Michalak and Cleo , this will take a little getting used to.

The actual bra is nicely made and very sturdy-feeling, with a more breathable texture than I'm used to and plenty of attractive embellishment. The salmon is not my best color, but it would be very nice on someone with darker skin.

This bra fits me perfectly with no digging or poking. It gives me a nice rounded shape and holds everything where it needs to be. The center gore is a little wider than I like but it's a lot narrower than just about every other bra that isn't a plunge. I have a problem finding the happy place with the straps. They seem to either be too tight or slip off too easily. That's a very common problem of mine so I don't see it as a particular flaw of this one.

When I first put it on, it seemed like there was some ... extra space at the top. Within a few minutes, my boobs settled and filled it out. That's something I've learned I need to do. If I don't have extra space at the top at first, I end up with quadboob within minutes.

I've only worn it three or four times at the time of writing so I don't feel like I can review the quality very well aside from one thing, and that would be the little extra bit of fabric below the cups in front. That thing chafes. I don't know if it's something that will soften up over time, with repeated washings. It's possible my skin is particularly delicate. I have had my feet rubbed raw and bloody from rough cotton socks in the past. But it's so uncomfortable that I definitely have to mention it. Aside from this, it's a pretty great bra. The price is good, it's otherwise very comfortable, and I love the short underwires that don't stab me at the sides.
