The Lacey bra is one of my favorites from Bravissimo! I fell in love with it when I put it on. This 30JJ is a bit tight for me in the band so I wear it with an extender for first few wears. It has the wider band and straps and the 3x3 hook closure. (Weirdly this bra comes up to HH- cup with a thin bands 2x3 and thin straps, which I very much disliked. )
The bra is one of the most supportive bras I tried from Bravissimo. The cups are quite tall and a bit on the shallow side. They are not too shallow to cause ...issues for me. The cups are also very roomy and the wires are an average width for this size range. The cups are made of a nice lace and lined with beige fabric on the inside. The upper part of the cup is stretchy in sizes up to J - cup but from JJ cup it has an extra lining that isn't stretchy.
I do like the unstretchy cups too, as I have enough room on top for my tall fot boobs. They also feel very supportive and the Lacey is the bra I can wear all day and move around a lot and nothing ever falls out of the bra. It's also very comofortable to wear all day. The straps are wide and more centered on this bra compared to other bras (as Bravissimo states on their website) I think it does make a difference as they are less likely to slip from your shoulders. This is good for me since I struggle with too wide set straps on balconette bras that cut into my arms.
I highly recommend the bra especially since it is so supportive in larger cup sizes. I just have to say that the slight shallowness and the height of the cups could be a problem if you have short roots and need very deep cup. For my shape Lacey is close to perfect. I'd buy it in every color. Read more 234 more words
The Lacey is a 3 part cup construction, Bravissimo calls it a full-cup. What is new and special about this bra is that it features centered straps! Bravissimo claims that they solved the problem of straps slipping off your shoulder. Since I have rather narrow shoulders for my size and some bra straps are just too wide-set for me, I was very curious about this bra.
The cups on this bra are very tall, the wires are rather narrow for the size range. The cups are lined with a nude fabric under a pretty red lace fabric. The lace on top of the cups is stretchy, but the nude lining is not stretchy. The bra gives a really nice round shape, I found that it even "minimizes" a bit, look at my angle pics. I don't have the issue that the straps cut off my arms which is certainly an improvement. The cups were slightly too tall for me and the band was a bit too big. I will try this bra in a smaller size.
Bravissimo Lacey is one of my favorite bras. But it's also a tricky one. It's hard to find the right fit in it for me, since I'm right between the sizes where the bra constructions changes significantly. So Lacey bra up to J-cup comes with a stretchy lace top section. From JJ-cup upwards there is an extra lining under that section that isn't stretchy. Which totally changes the bra.
JJ+ cup is a tall full cup bra. Below J cup is a fullcup bra with stretchy lace top similar in idea to Panache Jasmine, Envy or Andorra. Envy and Jasmine are far more open on top, the lace ...is more flimsy and they feel less supportive to me. I think if it resembles one of these it's mostly Andorra as that one is also on the more shallow side. Lacey is superior as it doesn't have the super wide and extremely hard Panache wires.
So I had 30JJ (currently too small), 32JJ (currently fits but is just a tiny bit too tall) and also this 32J, which fits kinda okay. First overall, the bra is rather shallow and tall. It's nowhere near CK shallowness because I can't wear CK at all. The wires are moderately wide / average for the size range and don't come up too high on the sides which is a plus. The band fits like you 'd expect a 32 band to fit - true to size I will say.
It is comfortable to wear on my non-pms boobs, but as soon as they get into PMS mode (1/2 cup bigger) I have the issue with the shallowness on bottom... I feel like the bra wants to slide down a bit everytime I adjust it back--- also my fot boobs stretch out the top section quite well. It shapes nicely to a round shape and the cup edge doesn't cut in. So ideally I'd own a 32JJ in this bra with with the below J-cup stretch construction for my PMS boobs. Overall the bra is currently one of the few that is wearable and I like that it is supportive all day and doesn't hurt me. Read more 250 more words
I exchanged my 34JJ - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486) bra for this size and it fits me very well. The bra features a 3 part cup construction, Bravissimo calls it a full-cup. The straps are centered on this bra so that they don't fall off the shoulders so easily and it's true, they don't ! Also the straps for once don't cut into my arms so much like on other balconette style bras, I'm looking at you Panache Floris...
The cups on this bra are very tall, the wires are rather narrow for the size range. The cups are lined with a nude fabric under a ...pretty red lace fabric. The lace on top of the cups is stretchy, but the nude lining is not stretchy. The bra gives a really nice round shape. What is the best about this bra? I totally Forget that I'm wearing it at least for most of the day. That is a very good things since I'm used to bras that hurt me most of the time!
The cups are really super tall on this bra, now I think even a bit too tall for me. I get some slight gaping where the upper cup meets the straps. (I have lost another 2 cms of bust circumferance since I received this bra. ) So it fits generously even on my PMS boobs. I think that the bra is a bit more shallow in the cups than the other Bravissimo bras so I really need the room at the center of this size and I don't think I can size down yet despite the slight gaping. (none visible on my pics since I took them few weeks ago) Also the bra is a full-cup construction, so it's full coverage and keeps the boobs close to chest. The band is a perfect fit on my 31 Inch (77cm) ribcage moderately snug measured, so If between 2 band sizes I recommend going by the bigger and not size down, the band is firm and tts on this bra.
The Lacey my absolute favorite of all my Bravissimo bras I recently tried. I would repurchase this bra! The only slight downside to this bra is, that since it comes up very tall, that it can show on low cut round necklines, so it's better been worn with V-neck tops.
Update after 6 months of wear at 2 times a week: band unstretched 70cm. Band stretched 85cm. Read more 302 more words
I'm in between sizes in Lacey currently. I have many reviews up on different sizes of Lacey so will keep it short here. This is the 32K which has an extra lining so the top section is not stretchy. The band fits fine and the cups are bit roomy in the upper cup but since they are quite shallow, the gore doesn't tack. I am between sizes as the 32JJ is currently a tiny bit small. Lacey is a staple in my collection, it is an easy to fit in bra if you are full on top with tall roots but a bit tricky if you need lots of projection because the cups are a bit shallow. It feels supportive for full-day wear. Will update this review when I wear this bra more, as I currently only wear it on PMS.
Check out my review of 32JJ - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486) to read how awesome this bra is. On this review I will compare the construction of this 32HH to the 32JJ and why it does not work.
32HH features narrower shoulder straps that are fully adjustable. The top of the cups is made out of stretchy fabric with no extra lining. The cup edge features an elastic band that tends to cut into breast tissue. The band is more narrow than on JJ+ range and only features a 2x3 closure!
Why did I not like this bra: First the cups were a bit on the smaller ...side. I think I could have made them work if it weren't for the elastic band that cuts in. But what I disliked the most about this bra: it did not feel as supportive as I would expect a bra in this size. 32JJ and this are worlds apart. The narrow band with only 2 hooks is more for looks than support. Some prefer that so it looks more elegant than "industrial" look of larger size bras - look up my 32JJ Lacey it looks just as elegant as this!
Apart from my personal issues in this particular size range I really recommend the bra above a J- cup and in smaller sizes. It is good! Just be wary if you are around HH-J range of how the bra changes. Read more 129 more words
It is a full cup style of moderately stretchy lace. It provides a minimized, natural, but very round shape. From the front it is slimming, but not front and center. Basically its a very rounded all over shape from the front. It gives a very round, somewhat minimized shape from the side. I really appreciate it distributing my tissue out and compressing it some to my body. If you want a more projected look, another style would better suit you, or size up in the cup. I also really appreciate the softness of the lace, the smoothness of fabric under clothing, and the short wires. I am center ...full and close set, so the wire gently rests on my tissue slightly but I do not find it uncomfortable. The cups are tall. I do not notice any gaping or real issue, but a lower cup would be more comfortable overall. The straps are also more centered on the cup, so they are not wide and irritating. The bummer is the band seems slightly large. I'd love to size down to a 28 band, but they only offer a 30. The stretch lace on the top of the cups have a thin elastic strip to keep everything contained. I find it to be comfortable and I don't need to adjust while wearing it. The wires are a little wider than I need, but they are comfortable and do not poke or dig. I think this is either for those who are firm and shallow, or soft (as long as you seem to take on the projection of the bra and not force bras down at the wire). Because the lace is closed on top, this is not going to work for FOT shapes. Close set folks may also find issues, although the wires are softer and do not cause pain for me resting slightly on tissue. For me, this is the bra I would sacrifice perfect fit for the minimized, round yet natural, overall comfortable fit and look for. Read more 230 more words
Check out my review on the Lacey 30JJ cornflower colorway here https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnc8y/ for more info. Both bras fit similarly and I wore them during the same time frame. Currently it is too small and I need a 32JJ in this bra.
I bought this full cup Lacey in May 2019 but had not worn this often enough to be able to perform an informed review. I do not wear this bra often simply because it is too small and gives me significant muffin top (as opposed to typical quadding) that I cannot hide unless I layer myself up. I have a number of 40K bras from Bravissimo that are all uncomfortably small in the cup but I do keep buying them because they are always the largest band/cup available in that model and I like the style. I guess there is a part of me that hopes to grow ...down into them as I age. This cornflower colorway does look fantastic on my skin color and not only feels supportive but also makes me feel like it will be supportive down the road. When I do wear this Lacey, I definitely feel like I am being minimized, which is a good thing, no cakes on a plate here. The straps feel a bit too wide set which happens on pretty much all of my 40 band bras from Bravissimo. Perhaps one day I will try the Rixie clips that supposedly can help reduce the effective band length although I have heard they can sometimes damage the band. Aside from the quadding described above, I get a round and uplifted shape, perhaps a bit more rounded than my other Bravissimo bras and more importantly, my boobs are more front and center with very little side boob and therefore less rubbing from my arms as I move about. The Lacey also has extra lining in the cups which helps to hide ones nipples and is much much better at this than the Alana. As usual, the gore does not tack and I also get a bit of rolling up of the band beneath the cup. This is not a deal breaker but I seem to experience this more on the Lacey than on others.
