  1. Nova Lounge Bra (LN764)

    Didn't fit

I'm always in search for a lounge/sleep bra works well enough for me to work from home and sleep in, so I figured I'd try out the Nova lounge bra from Bravissimo. I've slept in it a few nights in a row, and it's VERY comfortable. The material feels a bit like swimsuit or leotard material, but is very soft. Fitwise...I do either leak out of the sides a bit or overflow in the middle if I swoop and scoop. I've been noticed that a number of my bras are a bit small on me lately, so maybe I need to go up a size. If only half cup sizes went up to a J...

    • looks comfy!

    • The Nova looks like a good sleep option! I have Bravissimo padded sleep bras which have been better, actually, as errand bras.

    • I had Nova as a sleep bra too in 32J and had the issue that my boobs would fall out of the side and middle. I now use
34HH-J - Bravissimo » Zara Bralette (it's almost too pretty as a sleep bra) and 34HH-J - Bravissimo » Racerback Sleep Bra (NW234) which do contain my boobs better.

  2. Arla Bra (LN680)

The Arla bra is based on 32J - Bravissimo » Maya (LN655) but it has a t-shirt fabric over bra rather than a lace. Maya comes with 3 hook closure while Arla with a 4 hook closure in sizes above GG - cup! The Arla is a truly amazing bra! I would not want to miss it and I'm sad I did not buy more before it was sold out in the black color. (There is a new white / navy one that comes now up to K cup!)

So when I put the bra on it felt very tight. The band is on the smaller ... side. I can close it, but I prefer to break the bra in with an extender. If I'd buy another I'd go for the 34HH even! I also think that because it's a black color, the band feels tighter. It's about 2-3 cm smaller than on my Maya. So as soon as I added the extender I was in love with the bra! It feels so supportive. I love the wide band with the 4 hooks! The cups are a good fit on me and the fabric offers some extra coverage. I can wear this bra under a low cut top and it will looks like I wear a cami top underneath. The gore will never show.

Speaking of gore, it tacks and the wires are of average width for this size range. I have no issues. The shape I get in this bra is perfect, round and fron't and center. There can be no east west as the top fabric also helps to center the boobs. It feels supportive and comfortable all day. I just feel so neatly dressed and have never to worry about my boobs with this bra. There can also be no quadboob or gaping on show since the upper fabric will smooth it out. I think that this bra can work for well for minor size fluctuations that don't affect support. (Like 1/2 cup size PMS differences) It was very comfy on my PMS boobs while other bras hurt me.

One thing I don't like so much is the decorative orange band under the bra. I mean it looks cute on the photos. In reality it just rolls up especially if you have some extra chubb under the boobs... it does not lie flat 1 sec. So if it rolls up under it can bother me.
I have a trick now so it does not bother me. I already roll the band up but so it's up on the outside so it lies outside of bra on the rest of band and wire. Apart from that this bra is everything and I wish Bravissimo brought the black back and added more colors or neutrals... I'd buy it.

Ooh I love this! This will be perfect for those low cut tops!

    • 1

That almost looks wireless? It looks amazing. Congratulations on the great find!

    • 1

Yes the bra is amazing!!! It looks like sporty crop top. But supports like a bra. 4 hook closure should be mandatory in all the bras J cup and up. They even expanded the size range now comes up to K-cup in a new color.

    • 1

I love that look. I actually buy crop top tank tops from forever 21 to wear over bras with low cut tops that fit just like that puter layer. They really help smooth things out just like you describe, I have 4 colors!

  3. Camilla Bra (LN597)

I had this bra for 4 months. When I first got it, it was a perfect fit. I was shocked at how well this bra fits... since I made the "risky" decision to size down from my usual 32JJ in Bravissimo. It was such a bargain at the sale price.

First about the bra: It's a balconnette bra with cups made of 4 parts. It is not the traditional side support construction but the bra features the "triangle" part where the cup meets the straps that also appears in Ewa Michalak SF / BM. It also features a stretchy lace top section. Camilla is one of the few bras ... from Bravissimo that does not come with the extra lining on top of the cups above HH-cup. The color is a darker sage green but it looks lighter because of the beige mesh fabric underneath. The material is very lightweight, the stretchy lace is very thin but still holds in the boobs quite well.

The fit: Oh how was I surprised how narrow these wires are.(I mean for an UK brand!)

    Comparison of wire width:
    Bravissimo Camilla 32J: 16.5cm
    32JJ - Bravissimo » Lulu Bra (LN581) : 18cm
    70K - Ewa Michalak » Sf Gładzioch Beż (849) : 16.2cm

Wow! The wires are just right for me in this bra! I wonder if this bra features more narrow wires in general or if there is just a big gap between 32JJ and 32J in wire fit?
Also the bra brings my boobs to the front. It also offers enough room at the centre. I noticed that the wires fold a bit over each other, but it does not bother me. Since I have close set boobs that are very full at the centre, I get some almost cleavage in this bra. The band runs true to size but I have to wear this bra now on the tightest setting to get enough support since I lost a tiny bit of weight since I got the bra.

I think that this bra was inspired by Panache Jasmine but it is so much better. The narrow wires and the cup construction remind me of Ewa Michalak SF bras. I wonder why Bravissimo discontinued it? Maybe the color wasn't popular? It's really a good bra...

What a great find for you! I just hopped over to eBay to see if I could find one for myself, no luck. For anyone else interested, there is one seller on eBay, they spell Camila with 2 “L”s, and they have various cup sizes with bands between 34-38.

    • 1

That looks like a great bra! I really like that colour.

    • 1

That is so gorgeous on you! I got lured in by the sale price on that and took a risk buying it in a 32HH (normally I'm 32Hish) - and that stretchy fabric band along the top of the cups was laughably loose, fluttering in the wind like a sad sailboat at sea on a dull day. But it taught me that perhaps I'm not as FOT as I had thought! Had to return - and am a little jelly at how beautiful that is on you. Major score!

    • 3

This gives you an awesome shape...looks great!

    • veggiechic Check Bravissimo sale section again in few days. I usually check bravissimo sale section like once a week to see if something good in my size was added and just last week Camilla was still there, few 30 band sizes were available. This week the bra is not to be found. Sometimes bras "came back" to the sale section later.

    • 1

atp Keep looking into the sale section at bravissimo. I saw so many bras coming back after a while when they were returned maybe your size comes back. Also interesting that you found it to run quite big (of course because you ordered 1 size up) but I think the bra runs generous in that top section, 32J was a good fit me but on smaller days I think I could even size down to 32HH.

    • 1

Great colour and lovely fit on you! What a pity they discontinued it..might be worth asking Bravissimo if they plan on bringing it back or if they have any other very similar cut.

    Didn't fit

The Dina bra by Bravissimo is one of their best. It's a shame that it's also already discontinued like all good bras. I highly recommend it if you can grab it on sale or ebay. It came in two colors black and coral.

You can find longer reviews of the coral colorway here 32J - Bravissimo » Dina Bra (LN578) and 32JJ - Bravissimo » Dina Bra (LN578). I had to have the black when I spotted it on ebay. It fits just slightly smaller than the coral in the same size. Which is not good for me since I'm currently closer to a 32JJ ... in this bra. Since my breast size always fluctuates around 1-2 sizes I hope that I be able to wear it again soon. Currently I get some slight overspill between the cup edge and the decorative strap.

I'd recommend sizing up in band if you are between sizes and go up 1 cup size in Bravissimo especially if you have full on top boobs. The bra is a bit more open on top than Alana in the same size, so it works better for my fot shape. It's super supportive, comfortable, doesn't hurt and gives are great round uplifted shape.

Looks awesome on you. I love the little front strap detail. It’s always a bummer when a company discontinues something you love!

    • 1

Cute bra! Love how the straps add just a sophisticated touch of emphasis. Bummer it's discontinued. Thanks for the review, alisa !

    • 1

It looks lovely on you. I think cage bras to even or FoT shape is just a perfect match.

    • What a good find! It looks great on you!

    • Thanks everyone :) Bravissimo now sells the Zadie bra http://bra.pe/MICI/ which is more fancy than Dina. From the looks of it, it looks kinda shallow and not roomy on top. Also I don't like the extra straps. Dina is fot friendly and looks classy.

  5. Nova Lounge Bra (LN764)

    32J

    Didn't fit

Nova Lounge bra is a new wireless bra from Bravissimo. The bra band is rather stretchy and feels a bit big- but it stays in place with wear - if I only wear the bra for sleeping. The cups are made of a stretchy fabric that is lined with a very soft - cotton - like lining. There is no padding. What I like about the construction is that the cut of the cups in a triangle way helps to seperate the boobs as opposed to other sleep / lounge bras (like 32JJ-K - Bravissimo » Padded Sleep Bra (NW265) who fit like a crop top ... that just gives giant mono boob.

Now on to the issues: I mentioned the band being quite stretchy. It does not feel very supportive. I also find the cups lacking side support. maybe they could have added a thicker fabric there to support in larger sizes? Also since there are no wires in the cups, the band should do lots of work to carry my boobs but it doesn't. All weight is on the straps.

The shoulder straps have one major design flaw which is that the strap adjustor is on top of the shoulders instead of in the back --- which means the plastic piece is digging into my shoulders. It's not very comfortable for me to wear the bra for anything other than sleeping. It is not build to really support a heavy bust like mine- there is too much breast weight on the straps and not enough support from band and cups. In my size range I only recommend it for sleeping as there won't be as much weight on straps. I still get red marks in the morning from them but it isn't unbearable. I also like how the bra contains and seperates my boobs at night.

It looks on my pics like I get cleavage in this bra - which eventually happens when worn for a while my boobs naturally will go to the center and touch. But they can be arranged in the bra cups so they don't touch at the center which is a huge plus compared to other sleep bras.

    • I really wanted to try this but they were sold out on my size. With a stretch band do you think sister sizing down in the band would help?

    • 1

confused no I wouldn't - unless your are between sizes then maybe. The band is very stretchy yes, it stretches far more than the average 32 band, but the bra has no wires which would prevent also the cups from stretching when I take stretch band measurement. When I wear it, the band doesn't feel so big anymore... I also think it's intended to be more stretchy for comfortable lounging and sleeping. For me it rides up a bit since my boobs are so heavy they push the bra down in front ...

    • 1

Good to know! I'm mostly looking for something that keeps me from sweating like crazy from touching skin in the underboon fold but everything I've tried cuts into my soft tissue very badly or gives me uniboob then I just get between boob sweat really bad lol

    • 1

Very difficult to find a good sleep bra with a good amount of separation AND no underwire. Side support, for me, is also important. :\

  6. Alana Bra (AU01)

    Didn't fit

Good old Alana. A bra that has been around for years. It is just very reliabale and supportive.

I had a few of these bras over the years. The fit has always been tricky as the Alana is a bra that is not made for full on top boobs. It's top section is very tight and the cups are not very tall. I used to size up 2 cup sizes to get a decent fit.

My shape: projected, narrow roots, center heavy, full on top, tall roots

Since I last had one of These (34L) I lost some weight I decided to try it again.
I really love this ... lilac color with the light yellow, such a lovely color combination and very unique. I knew I had to have it. It makes me happy just looking at it.

When I received this bra 2 months ago, it fitted quite well. At that time I was around 32HH in other bras so I decided to give Alana a try in 32J. It did cut in just a little bit but it was barely visible so I do not count it as quadboob. I just thought that is the bra being not made for my shape. Everything else fits just fine. The bra is also really supportive despite not having any extra lining in the cups. You get what you see on the promo pictures in all sizes up to L-cup!

I am a solid 32J now and since Alana runs small I need 32JJ. I'm so sad this does not fit me anymore, it is one of my favorites just from the look and color combination. I will keep it around for size fluctuations which happen to me all the time. Also I might loose some of my extra winter weight and then it will fit again.

This bra is the new cut of Alana. It fits the same like the old cut, see here http://bra.pe/X1lC/ but the shoulder straps are a different material and it does not have this scalloped thread thing at the band anymore.

    • That is a really really pretty bra!! Maybe I should try it. I'm projected, center full, narrow roots, but I think my vertical roots are on the short side, so even though I'm even for FOT/FOB when I check, I often have trouble filling out higher cut bras....

    • confused Alana is a good one to start with Bravissimo. It's one of their staples and has been around for years. They do recommend sizing up even on the website. So it runs small and the cup is more closed on top / shorter. I think it could work for you.

    • 1

I've got a Gorsenia coming from Amazon that I think is gonna be just about perfect (fingers crossed!). But Alana may be my next try!

    • Oh my. I freaked out for nothing. My Pms boobs were extreme this time and now they gone back to normal the bra fits again (with minor cutting in). I labeled the "too small" pics now as pms boob pics.

    • 1

      Wow that is so pretty!!!

    • Yeah the bra is just too small for me now :( Will try a 32JJ next.

    Didn't fit

I already reviewed 32J - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486) this Paisley one is based on the same cut but with a different fabric. I find this fabric is more soft and delicate than on the regular Lacey where the Lace on top can feel a bit itchy. Lacey Paisley comes up to K-cup with a stretch lace top. It is lined in larger sizes. It has 2 hook closure up to HH-cup and even in 30JJ. This 32J has 3 hook closure which I prefer.

My shape: full on top, projected, center heavy, tall narrow to medium wide roots

I bought this about 1 month ago ... and it looked like it fits. Currently it's a bit on the smaller side as I went up 1 cup recently. The top section of the cups is very forgiving but it's not flimsy. There is one of these tiny bands going at the edge of the cups. Those tend to cut in and it does slightly on this bra. The shape is totally similar to the regular Lacey bra, it's tall, a bit shallow on bottom and gives a super rounded slightly minimized shape. Since the bottom of the cup is a bit shallow I get some slight wrinkling there as I'd need more projection there. The band runs true to size and similar to other bras by Bravissimo as it stretches to about 32inch.The bra is very comfortable.

The bra is just awesome! I had it in a 32JJ before and when it got too big I bought another one in 32J. A total Bargain at the sale price.
The fit is very uplifted and the bra feels supportive all day. The band fits true to size. I like the thicker shoulder straps.
I also think that this bra allows a bit more volume on top compared to Bravissimo Alana in the same size. It's really good on my full on top boobs. I like that little extra strap added at the top of the cup. It looks really cute and is something different. Too bad this bra is now discontinued. I would have bought it in other colors too.

I was very excited to find this bra at the sale price in my size. This colorway is gone now but they restocked the bra in a black/beige color. It looks a bit like a sports bra but the lace makes it also look like a bralette. It is supportive since it has a regular bra built in. The bra underneath is in a beige color and it looks like a basic Alana-Balconette-cut. The material is nice and sturdy and has no stretch to it. Then there is the purple lace overlay that is also lined with a thin beige mesh fabric. The lace fabric is stretchy.

The ... fit: The band (wide with 3x3 hooks !) is tts and it's a bit tight on me, it also does not have so much stretch to it, so keep that in mind. The band part at the front does roll up with wear. The cups are likely to fit similar to regular Balconette cups in Bravissimo. I could use a bit more room on top but I always do since I'm very full on top.

The shoulder straps are full adjustable. I get a round centered shape in this bra. It almost feels a bit like the Panache Sports bra but thankfully it isn't as constricting. After a full day of wear I experienced some pain at the underwire at the underbust area. I think that the bra is a bit tight for me If I had the chance I would try a 34J to compare.

But for now it is okay, I don't always get the pain. I think that it is nice to have this bra in your rotation but maybe not to wear every single day.
I like to have something different in my collection. It also kinda downplays my boobs and I really love this look. I would like a bikini bra in this style!

    • Wow, I really like the looks of this. It gives you a really nice shape and it is cute.

    • 1

Would be great to wear under low cut shirts and dresses as a faux cami!

    • 1

Oh I haven't thought of this. Great idea. very handy in summertime so you don't have to wear an extra cami. I see now the appeal of the new black one they brought out, it will go with more colors to match.

    • 2

I have a dress that this would be perfect under, kind of wistful.

I hate layering, I don’t like the bulky feeling, so something like this would be great for me!

    • 1

I agree would be great for layering! I've never tried Bravissimo

    • I also don't like layering in summer. But as a busty girl I have often to wear a cami top for modesty. So this Maya bra really ticks a box.

confused Bravissimo bras are awesome, really recommend them. Quality and support is usually good.

    • 1

Oooh this is a cute style and definitely an option instead of wearing a cami under certain styles. I realised that I'm not a big fan of layering (mostly because of the heat).. So this is definitely an option to watch

    • 1

This bra is the same cut as the Maya bra. I think it's even better to wear a as cami-bra since black goes with everything: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/arla-bra-black-ln680blk/
      It's on my wish list.

    • 1

oooh, that's great! Thanks for the link...although I'm just realising that they only go up to a J, so I'll just have to leave it on my watch list for now :(

    • 1

Frazzleberry yes they do them only up to J-cup but I find it supportive enough it could easily work up higher. Maybe they expand the size range in the future? The band is tight but the cups do not run big... 30J maybe fits only close to 28JJ.

    • 1

alisa I find that when it comes to bravissimo I actually don't mind wearing their 30 backs, so I'm not too worried about the band size.

You're correct about the cups, as I don't feel it would be big enough. I'm almost tempted to try it in the 32J. But I think I'll wait to see if they expand their size range.

    • 1

Hey this one is 3 hooks all the way down to 30dd for some reason...

    • Hey this one is 3 hooks all the way down to 30dd for some reason...

    • Frazzleberry I like that Bravissimo band sizes are very much true to size, 32 band never stretch more than 32 inch. I have Panache bras in 30 band that are bigger than some 32 on Bravissimo :) It's very good for us at the upper end of cup sizes.

cupandahalf I think for this style it fits the look of the bra so they went with it for all sizes. I wish they would do that on more also "regular" bras. Have 3 hook bra and other model with 2 hooks so everyone can choose what they like :)

    • Frazzleberry The Arla bra which is the same cut as Maya now comes up to K -cup! https://www.bravissimo.com/products/arla-bra-ln680/#navy-white-ln680nvw

  10. Alana Bra (AU01)

This is so pretty! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> I went up a cup size compared to my Freya bras. The underwire is slightly too narrow and pokes my sides a bit, but I really like that most of the volume is in the forward projection. It gives a nice rounded shape, and the embroidery along the top is very lovely. The band is wide, and nice and firm. Maybe a smidge too tight for me, but I may also just be used to my usual Freya bands. The straps are wide, sturdy, and nice and soft to the touch, and I have plenty of length to spare.

Edited to add - the underwire has widened a bit, so it's now very comfortable, same as the band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I hope Bravissimo releases this in more non-pink, non-neon colours https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

  11. Lacey Bra (LN486)

Bravissimo Lacey is one of my favorite bras. But it's also a tricky one. It's hard to find the right fit in it for me, since I'm right between the sizes where the bra constructions changes significantly. So Lacey bra up to J-cup comes with a stretchy lace top section. From JJ-cup upwards there is an extra lining under that section that isn't stretchy. Which totally changes the bra.

JJ+ cup is a tall full cup bra. Below J cup is a fullcup bra with stretchy lace top similar in idea to Panache Jasmine, Envy or Andorra. Envy and Jasmine are far more open on top, the lace ... is more flimsy and they feel less supportive to me. I think if it resembles one of these it's mostly Andorra as that one is also on the more shallow side. Lacey is superior as it doesn't have the super wide and extremely hard Panache wires.

So I had 30JJ (currently too small), 32JJ (currently fits but is just a tiny bit too tall) and also this 32J, which fits kinda okay.
First overall, the bra is rather shallow and tall. It's nowhere near CK shallowness because I can't wear CK at all. The wires are moderately wide / average for the size range and don't come up too high on the sides which is a plus. The band fits like you 'd expect a 32 band to fit - true to size I will say.

It is comfortable to wear on my non-pms boobs, but as soon as they get into PMS mode (1/2 cup bigger) I have the issue with the shallowness on bottom... I feel like the bra wants to slide down a bit everytime I adjust it back--- also my fot boobs stretch out the top section quite well. It shapes nicely to a round shape and the cup edge doesn't cut in. So ideally I'd own a 32JJ in this bra with with the below J-cup stretch construction for my PMS boobs.
Overall the bra is currently one of the few that is wearable and I like that it is supportive all day and doesn't hurt me.

Oh, yeah, I can see some of those fit issues you're talking about. This bra is really pretty on you, though! I'm glad it works okay.

    • 2

It looks like the kind of bra that makes your boobs a ball, which I like because it holds them closer to your chest. Maybe I could try a 40J...

    • cupandahalf I love the close to chest round shape! Lacey just does that. it even minimizes a bit from the side and it's the total opposite of Ewa BM or Panache Jasmine shape which are too open on top and too projected. The wires on the side and the gore are not extremely tall but the cups are and the straps are centered. I think you would like it :)

    • I wore this today but just changed into another bra. It kept sliding down at the wire. Also there was quite some pressure on my shoulders from that. The bottom of the cup too shallow for me there even on my normal boobs. I was adjusting it 2-3 times until I got tired.

    • :(

    • Wearing it tonight to give another bra some rest, some slight quadboob is happening and I'm nowhere near PMS yet. I'm definitely a 32JJ in this bra at the moment.

Thanks so much for reviewing this one! I've been making my way through allllll the bras on Bravissimo and had my eye on this one next. It looks amazing on your shape! I'm pretty FOT with softer tissue and it is *hard* to find a good bra! I'm on the J/JJ line with you and I really need the stretch lace from the J shape so I think I'll take the plunge.

CAGirlGoingPolish Thanks for your comment. I'm glad my review was helpful :)
I'm happy to read from a fellow Bravissimo girl we are so few here. Which bras did you try in the past?
Lacey is really good if you prefer a bit more close to chest fit as it's more shallow than other stretch lace bras like EM BMs or the Jasmine - they are sometimes too open on top to fully support full on top boobs.
Lacey is a good "middle ground" here. I recently got this in a 34J as I wanted the stretch version, will review soon.
In the non stretch version (JJ+) I'm probably 32K now.

The new Lacey Floral is apparently stretch lace up to K-cup!

alisa Yes! I've just started looking thru ur reviews and they're a godsend! TBH, I've had zero luck with Bravissimo recently. It's been 4 years since my baby was born and I'm only just now starting to try bras again.

I've literally tried almost *everything* they have in 30J (except CK & Fantasie bcuz they've never worked due to east-west/wide wires/strap discomfort & too-closed cups, respectively.)

The ones that might have worked if I could have gone up to a 30JJ or down to a 28K/KK didn't exist in those sizes :'-( oooorrrr ,like you've found, the stretch lace etc. disappears when you cross the JJ threshold. The ones that fit pretty well, though a bit more elf shoe than I prefer, like Arla etc. had comfort issues w stiff/thin/not supportive enuf straps, etc.

Of course, Arla was part of my first order, and I thought I had lots of other good options. hahahahahahah I'm wondering if I should revisit it, but want to try some Ewa options first.

I'm more than happy to answer any questions on specific styles - I took pretty good notes/pics before returning *everything*. (I need to post reviews - just hard to get uninterrupted time rn w CoVid risk & California temps & fires keeping my fam stuck indoors alll day for weeks now)

My closest to a great fit was a Comexim Jasmine plunge UK 30K (65O?) from BOB. After reading ur reviews & some others I suspect going up a cup size to allow bra straps moved in & a bit more immediate projection @ the wires I miiiiiight have a decent, comfy fit. Still working up the guts to place that complex of an order, pay for shipping & accept it might be a wash. #true story

    • CAGirlGoingPolish Which from Bravissimo own brand did you try? Did you ever try Bravissimo Anna or Lottie? I watch those 2 in the sale.

Arla did give you an elf-shoe shape? I mean Arla out of all bras? It gives me very round shape. True Elf shoe were older models like Ditsy Blossom, Dotty Spot or Marguerite - Alana or Melrose go a bit in that direction but not as bad. But everyone's boobs are different and everyone likes and prefers different bra styles.

      alisa
You're right - I've been pretty particular about elf shoe-ish-ness and Arla is far from the worst offender. I've always had a pretty lifted, very round profile in the past and I think with the changes my body has gone through I'm finding no matter what I buy, my breasts have more of a "natural slope" to them now. (read: more like the elf shoe) This is totally new to me and caught me by surprise. Since I posted this I've gone through another 20 or more bras and realized this is just what my shape is now.

Truth is I was ordering based on what might have fit my pre-baby boob profile. I sagged down a full *THREE* inches thanks to breast-feeding, while still maintaining roughly the same cup volume (+/- 1 cup size or two) & now I have to learn how to accommodate the much more pendulous shape & softer tissue issues.

It's been rough, but I hope I'm starting to find my way.

      Ok - Bravissimo bras:

Are you ready for this? lol

      * all the "padded" were far too shallow and somewhat tall

Just ordered Dina/ Jenna / Millie.

    • 1

aaaaand forgot to order Lacey *facepalm*

    • CAGirlGoingPolish I have no experience with breast-feeding but due to weight fluctuations I went through a few size changes so I understand how hard it is to start with a new size / shape. :S Bras that used to work somehow don't work anymore. I hope you will find good bras for your new shape.

I also heard that padded bras run shallow so I never bothered as my boobs never got along with them. I wonder if it's a soft tissue + pendulous boob problem? Needing more projection at the wire? I usually have empty space in bottom but lots of overspill on top.

Fern lounge bra, is it worth it? Or similar to Nova in fit and support. Wich sleep bra did you like best?
I once tried the cup sized padded sleep bra and hated it, it was extremely tall: 32JJ-K - Bravissimo » Padded Sleep Bra (NW265) , have not tried the unpadded yet.
I like the racerback ones as they have thicker straps distribute weight away from straps and towards the back. Sadly the black ones run small so I can only fit into now discontinued grey 34HH-J - Bravissimo » Racerback Sleep Bra (NW234) . They should bring them back but up to K or L cup.
What size are you looking at in Lacey?

    • 1

alisa Thanks for the encouragement - Think I'm heading in the right direction. :)

Padded bras can def be shallow @ the wire for me as well, but lightly padded / spacer foam lined bras were ideal for me in the past, since they gave me the rounded shape I needed and had more room @ the wire. I'm completely sized out of all the bras I know that follow that shape now so.... :p

Fern bra was lovely, but I tried the 30J & I was spilling out of the middle and my poor boobs were drooping almost as if I didn't have a bra. The straps were also very thin, which was not comfortable for my shoulders w the weight of my boobs.

Couldn't close the racer bra (bad joints) Unpadded sleep bra was much better. Tried the 32HH, but back was too big. 30J the cups were too big - strangely. 30HH prob would work, but I was out of patience w sleep bras by then. Looks like it would be as tall as the padded one tho... Maybe if you size down a cup from ur norm?

Considering 30J in Lacey :-) Waiting for my last couple Bravissimo orders to get back to England so I can get my money back before I buy anything else lol

    • CAGirlGoingPolish
I won't bother with the Fern then. I already own the Nova which I use as a sleep bra. I dislike it's thin straps - but I liked that the bra seperated my boobs better than regular sleep bra or Zara in summer months.

Yeah putting on racerback sleep bras is bit of a hassle. I also think that's why they discontinued them. I was shocked at the size of that padded sleep bra- it was insanely tall on me and I was around size 32K back then so I did get my size. It felt uncomfortable. if I ever am on lookout for another sleep bra I'd try the unpadded.

If Millie in 30J isn't much too small on you, get Lacey in the same size. Also the next size up will have the unstretchy lining. Lacey is taller than Millie but cup is bit similar but I find Millie a tad more shallow.

I've been keen to get my hands on a Bravissimo half cup for a while, as I thought it was my best bet of trying out a half cup with Ewa Michalak's styles being a bit too small in cup volume to be likely to work. I got this bra second hand from another user who'd worn it a few times.

Bravissimo's half cups in this size range consist of 4 vertical panels with the outermost one being the tallest and connecting to the strap. The straps are sturdy, wide, and fully adjustable. The bra fastens with 3 rows of 3 columns of hooks.

The bra is super lively ... and colourful! It reminds me of tropical birds, which makes sense considering the name. The seams don't really show up under tops, but the print does, so you'd need a thick top or a second layer with almost any colour you wear.

The band of the bra is too big for me, which is totally unsuprising considerding my snug underbust measurement is less than 28". There's no 28 bands above a J cup in Bravissimo, and the half cup ends at a J anyway, so this was my best chance to try out the cut. The wires are quite a bit too wide and the straps are set a long way apart, which means I need to angle them to stay on my shoulders. However, the shape the cup gives is great! I feel lifted and supported. It works well on my firm, slightly fuller on top breasts. The trim on the top of the bra cuts in a bit, but I suspect that sizing up would just end up with me having an even wider cup and not much more room on top. As-is, I think it would make a nice special occasions bra for someone who is fuller on top with a medium-wide root. If the straps were a bit closer together, it could even be an everyday bra, the design seems to be quite good.

I'm planning to try some alterations on this, as the overall cup shape is good to see if I can get a better fit.

Comfy! Band is backfat minimising, nice wide confy straps, good smooth materials on the skin, no scartching!

Awesome shape! Very round, close to the chest, slightly minimized from the side, purple shape from the front, not east - west by any means. Cakes on plate ^^

Supportive! Seriously, if it wasn't for the strap position (far apart) this one could go up to KK. And an everyday bra.

Note fore wires - very wide. Will suit shallow boob ladies. If you are not one, you can still wear it if you accept some empty space bear the wires. Existance of such does not compromise shape or support.

Note for cleavage - gore is very high, forget V necks with this
Note for print and thin clothes - the loud print shows through everything thin. If you wear dark clothes, white parts will pop out, if you wear light blacks will.

Note to self and everybody else:
    Get matching knickers with it!
Get Sweet bon bon bra - it's the same cut!
This bra's measurements have been altered

I love this bra - maybe because it's the first one I have had that really fit well, thanks to the assistance of a bravissimo fitter. I was trying on clothes and none of them looked right - she came along, had a look and fetched this bra for me (THREE cups up from my previous one) - BOOM, all the clothes fit properly. If it came in a JJ cup I would probably take that, but there's only a very tiny bit of quad-boob if it's shifted around a bit after some wear - I just check on it occasionally to make sure all is where it should be https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Great cleavage, wonderful support (I even rode a horse in it once or twice when I forgot my sports bra!) and very comfortable. Two thumbs up. My only slight complaint is that the underwire has come through on one side - to be fair, that's probably because I have worn it (and hence washed it) to death.

Check out my review of the Alana in the lilac/ yellow colorway: http://bra.pe/X1os/
Both bras are the same size and fit. The only difference between this Alana in black is that this is the older cut. They did not change anything about the cup / shape but this older version does have the scalloped thread thing at the band which the newer version does not have.

-I filled out the "number of hooks" as just 1, as it as a clip fastening, rather than hook and eye. Not sure how accurate the cup depth measurement can really be since swimwear stretches much more than bras.-

The design itself is lovely. The lining is so soft. The straps are quite wide, so some may not like that, but they are super comfortable and supportive. They don't look dowdy at all, they look more sporty. The underwires are very sturdy, especially for swimwear, so if you find Freya's to be a little bendy/soft, the Bravissimo ones are much better.

This is a very pretty bra, as far as I remember the band seemed fine (I normally wear a 30/32) and comfortable, the cups were maybe a tiny bit big for me personally but wearable, wish makes them run a bit small I think - (32J in new Curvy Kates, 30J in Cleos). But the cups go very far in the back and I found them to be so uncomfortable I had to sell the bra.
