The Lacey bra is one of my favorites from Bravissimo! I fell in love with it when I put it on. This 30JJ is a bit tight for me in the band so I wear it with an extender for first few wears. It has the wider band and straps and the 3x3 hook closure. (Weirdly this bra comes up to HH- cup with a thin bands 2x3 and thin straps, which I very much disliked. )

The bra is one of the most supportive bras I tried from Bravissimo. The cups are quite tall and a bit on the shallow side. They are not too shallow to cause ... issues for me. The cups are also very roomy and the wires are an average width for this size range. The cups are made of a nice lace and lined with beige fabric on the inside. The upper part of the cup is stretchy in sizes up to J - cup but from JJ cup it has an extra lining that isn't stretchy.

I do like the unstretchy cups too, as I have enough room on top for my tall fot boobs. They also feel very supportive and the Lacey is the bra I can wear all day and move around a lot and nothing ever falls out of the bra. It's also very comofortable to wear all day. The straps are wide and more centered on this bra compared to other bras (as Bravissimo states on their website) I think it does make a difference as they are less likely to slip from your shoulders. This is good for me since I struggle with too wide set straps on balconette bras that cut into my arms.

I highly recommend the bra especially since it is so supportive in larger cup sizes. I just have to say that the slight shallowness and the height of the cups could be a problem if you have short roots and need very deep cup. For my shape Lacey is close to perfect. I'd buy it in every color.

Love the pretty lace on this and the color is so fresh and airy looking. I can totally get behind buying what you love in every color they make. :)

    Didn't fit

I found this bra on eBay really cheap, so I couldn't resist purchasing it to try it out before taking the plunge and making an order with Bravissimo.

After putting it on for the first time, I fell in love. It is SO comfortable. Nothing pinches and nothing is binding. The band is very stretchy, so even though I normally wear 32 bands and am slowly transitioning to 30 bands, this one feels very good. I can still pull it an inch or so away from my body, but I don't have a problem with it riding up, so I'm just going to keep it ... on the loosest set of hooks for now.

The straps are too far apart, which is normally the case with any bra for me, but it's cut low enough under the arms that there is no chafing. Just because of that, I find the bra straps very tolerable and it adds to the comfort of the bra.

The cups are a bit too small and cause quadboob after I scoop, which I was afraid would be the case when I ordered it. Actually, before I scooped, I was shocked to see how much tissue I had under my arms! Without trying to sound vulgar, it was nearly a full handfull of tissue under each arm that was overhanging. I used to wear 34 bands religiously and then changed to 32 a few months ago, and now wearing 30 bands I can more obviously see how much migrated tissue I have. Many have commented on how this particular style runs small and it is suggested to size up to prevent the top of the cups from cutting in, so I would definitely confirm this to be the case.

The shape is very uplifted and offers some projection, which I like (I really don't like bras that minimize -- I tried to hide my boobs for most of my life, and I'm over that now.) To me, it's similar to the shape that I get in the Panache Jasmine. It's not rounded, but it's not overly pointy, either. Everything is up-front and center, which is what I prefer.

I have already placed an order for this bra in a 30K, so I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I've only worn this bra for 2 days, but I am quite happy with the comfort and shape, even though it's a little too small. I am confident that I will love it even more in the proper size. I have a feeling this may become my new go-to everyday bra.

Full on bottom girls, this is a great bra for us. I don't even feel like the pictures do it justice. Normally, I feel like I just look deflated at the top in most bras, but the way that this bra uplifts, it gives me the appearance of full all over boobs (at least to me, anyway....maybe it's just because it's too small lol.) I feel like I look MUCH better in this bra in person than what the pictures represent.

In the 30K you will get rid of that quadraboob but I think it will still look great on you. From my personal experience most Bravissimo bras (at least the balconnettes modelled after the Alana) are constructed for full on bottom breasts. Also they do generally not allow too much volume on top and tend to flatten my full-on- top breasts (see my 30K Linear Rose disaster) and are if I don't size up 2-3 cup sizes an epic fail on me.
The shoulder straps dig into your arms because they are too far apart - I have that issue too - it gets better the more you wear the bra & wash it. I don't even get red marks anymore.

    • A handful is what I have in my armpits as well. And no bra does take care of it because it sits higher. Extremely frustrating!

    • What is it that some people call the underarm fat spots...."wings"? I have a problem with those in many of my bras, but it just seemed amplified in this one.

    • 1

*Underarm fat behind my arm (felt like I should clarify)

@alisa: Thank you for all of your info regarding this bra! You are the person I stalk the most on here because we're so close in size, so I love hearing your feedback. :-)

    • Do you mean at the top of your back even?

    • No, mainly just a big chunk of fat/tissue that hangs over my bra strap at the part where my underarm meets my back.

    • Ah, yes I see it now. I get like that in every bra apart from 36J Andorra I think.

    • It's not really evident in my pics because I had just swooped and scooped, but before....whoa, it was bad! lol

Just adding in the measurement data for this bra.

So maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14 inches, and this is what I had entered in the measurement table. The minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 12 inches. It does have the typical wide wires of UK brands, but I find it doesn't poke my back like my Panache Jasmine.

A side note: The measurements probably explain why the cup didn't fit as I think I'd probably need a depth at around 15 ... inches (or greater). I used to think that, maybe it was because of the elastic under the lace portion that caused the quadding (although this could have also contributed) but looking at these measurements, I guess I know why.. That being said, this is a lovely looking bra (just not my fit). It's also pretty firm for a 30 (it stretches to 29 inches - bad for a 30 back, good for 28's that need to sister size)

Yay for data!! It's a beautiful bra, sorry it didn't fit.

    • 2

Yeah, I've been meaning to add the measurements for the bra for a while now, just couldn't get around to it...But data is great and it helps a lot when deciding what bra to try.

It is definitely a beautiful bra, thanks. I still wear it around the house, so I'm making use of it, lol..it's too pretty not to wear XD

    • 1

      Indeed!!

Thank you for adding this data, it is very helpful.

    • No problem :) I know how much measurements are needed when trying to make a decision.

Well. It IS pointy, as so many people have noted. And east-west-y. And my boyfriend hates it. But you know what? I have been wearing this bra constantly. It is so comfortable. The band is firm and back-fat repellent, the straps are comfy, and my boobs are very well taken care of. They really feel supported. The gore sits flat, the print is adorable... I love it. And yeah, my boobs look kind of funny under most shirts. I just don't really care. Oh and it looks AMAZING under a lot of dresses, especially stretchy ... and retro ones. If you have told me when I got it that I'd be saying this, I would have laughed, but... I think I'm going to order another.

The only cons for me are as follows:
The wires are WAY too wide for my narrow-root boobs. They come half-way around my sides. For a while they were really poking, and I tried unsuccessfully to bend them, but luckily at this point things seemed to have work themselves out and the poking is gone. It still leaves a bunch of weird empty fabric on the sides, which my boobs sort of settle into, but it would be much better for me if the wires were significantly more narrow. I would also prefer a closer-set center gore, but I say that about pretty much all bras. And lastly, while they are comfy, I think the top of the bra would fit slightly better if the straps were a little closer in. You can kind of see in the pictures that if I hold up the front of the cup more, I get a better fit. But oh well. Like I said... Sooooo comfy.

  5. Luxe Heart (PA28)

This is the most comfortable and well-fitting bra I've found. I think I fit into Bravissimo bras quite well, as their underwires are fairly close together. As in the Alana, I have slight overspill at the top and slight wrinkling at the bottom due to fullness at the top, but this isn't a huge issue for me. This bra is sultry and gorgeous, with a lovely rounded shape. It has "additional lining" above an H cup (the black upper panel), which I personally prefer to the sheer. It has gorgeous detail of heart-shaped beads on the ends of the bow on the central gore, which I really love. ... It is valentines themed, so I hope they come out with more colours for this. Some people find the material scratchy but I don't find it a problem - it is made of a stiff material which I find very supportive. The straps are only partly adjustable due to the ruffle decoration, which is ok for me but won't work for everyone. The band seems to run slightly tighter than in the other Bravissimo bras I have, but not enough to size down in.

  7. Dotty Spot Bra (AU08)

Ridiculously gorgeous bra, even if it is rather pointy on me (apparently it's a lot less pointy under a J cup?), though I found the black/café pointier than the aqua/red. It takes a lot of jiggling to get into the right place, but settles over time. Good fit and comfortable, although the central gore does put a bit too much pressure my sternum - I'm not sure if it's slightly too long or short, but it isn't a huge issue. A lot of reviews say it runs large in the band/cup, but I've found my regular size to be fine - it's about half a cup larger in the aqua/red than a usual Bravissimo 30JJ, I think, and I found the black/café more true to size in the cups.

  8. Dotty Spot Bra (AU08)

The Dotty Spot is said to run slightly larger in the cups in the original aqua/red, and I think in black/café the cups are closer to being true-to-size. It is pointier in the black/café than aqua/red. I found the central gore puts just slightly too much pressure on my sternum in both colourways, and I'm not quite sure why, but it isn't a huge issue. I wore my usual size, and it isn't too loose in the band at all.

This was a surprise hit for me. I love a good paisley and the white is quite pretty. Most importantly - really comfortable!

(Me: Full on top, center-full, tall & wideish roots, close-set, narrow frame -well, for 5' 10" anyways lol)

Shape was wider in the front than I usually prefer, as the wires were a big wider than I usually prefer, but still rounded and even minimizing. I didn't quite fill the bottom of the cup, which tells me it's a wee bit shallow for me there, but didn't cause any trouble. Tall cups for my tall roots despite a bit of wrinkling near the outer ... edges of the cup due to lack of adequate projection for my softer, pendulous tissue which migrates towards the gore. (Can you say really center-full??) There was no give in the lace due to the lining behind it, but the top of the cup was open enough for my upper fullness, even though I usually need stretch lace on balconette/full-coverage cups.

Band pretty stretchy. I was on the 2nd hook by the 2nd day. Rides up a bit like every other band I've ever owned - maybe because center fullness always wants more room at the gore and pushes wires down a bit? Anyways - love it!

    • Too bad for the few fit issues, but it's really pretty! I love that white paisley.

    • 1

Thanks! Me too. This is my first full-cup since pre-pregnancy and it's opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me.

    • 1

I should have added it was comfy enough I decided to keep it. :)

    • 1

Congrats on finding a comfortable fit! The Lacey is very tall but also a bit shallow in the bottom cup. I also have the bottom wrinkle issues but ignore them since the fit & support were really good.

"There was no give in the lace due to the lining behind it" :O What really? So they did the same as in the regular Lacey? I have 32J Lacey Paisley and the top is stretchy, so is my regular 32J and 34J Laceys - however 30JJ and 32JJ regular Lacey are non stretchy.

I have asked Bravissimo if in the Paisley and Floral the top is stretchy above J cup and they confirmed! So I'm shocked to learn it isn't in this bra. Thanks for the review. So helpful!

    • 1

alisa Thanks for reviewing it - you inspired me to try Full-coverage for the first time in forever! I am pleasantly surprised the non-stretch lace worked out for me. The only downside is as the bra stretches that I am finding I am limited in how much I can tighten the straps to hike the girls up for more lift. The cups soon begins to cut into my upper breast tissue and quads me out. It’s small potatoes, though. This is not my sexy bra, this is my stay at home or be comfortable under a sweater bra. And for those purposes I love it. :)

    • 1

I'm happy to inspire you to try more Bravissimo. While I rant a lot about them, they also make some of the best bras for big boobs. I think why Lacey works so well for you (and me) is that there is a lot of extra room added by it's extra tall cups. If I lay my Lacey over other Bras it's apparent how much taller it is. So it also helps with the other fot issue, the quadboob which is less in this.

Is the 2 hook band a problem for you? I think the 3x3 give more support - I tried bras that had only 2 x2 from Bravissimo and noticed huge lack of support. Regular Lacey as 3x3 in 30JJ I can confirm the beige and cornflower since I own both.

    • 1

Agreed! I really need that height in the cups. The 2 hook band is fine for me - surprisingly. I think 3 would stabilize the band better and maybe help keep it from riding up - but that all theoretical.

I'll def see if the difference is noticeable w the 3x3 band in reg Lacey. Have one on order. Fingers crossed for another good fit!

  10. Boudoir Beau (PA07)

This bra runs about half a cup big, so those in between sizes may find a better fit in their smaller cup. I'm usually spot on for Brav's 30JJs, so I have a little bit of wrinkling, but not enough to need a 30J. It gives a very uplifted shape with a high apex - it is somewhat pointy in my size, but still rounder than the Dotty Spot or Alana. Quite east-west and separated - it looks a bit wider from the front than the Alana. The wires are pretty standard for Bravissimo, which is relatively narrow for a high-end cup. The band feels like a fairly firm 30, and is made of a comfortable stretchy material. I loooove the emerald colour with black lace overlay, I just wish it didn't have the extra lining, it makes it quite a bit less delicate looking.

    Dotty Spot 30JJ:
I have ignored all the reviews that were ranting about how pointy the shape of the Dotty Spot is and though to myself: it won’t be that pointy on me. LOL I was so wrong! That bra is made to poke someones eyes out with it! No, really I would have loved this, if it gave me a Cleo-like round shape! I have to say that it is a very supportive bra and very comfy material.
The wires are strong, shoulder straps wide just like I like it and the print is just soo cute. But I have no occaison to wear it. It is not suitable ... for everyday wear (at least on me, I heard it is less pointy in smaller sizes) therefore it’s going back. I wont buy a bra even on sale which I know I will hardly wear.
It is really that pointy. So keep that in mind before you buy it. Do you like a 50s retro pointy shape? Then get this bra. It is cute as hell, comfy and supportive.
If you prefer the round shape of Cleo Balconettes / Panache Jasmine then avoid it.

Comfort: 5 Very comfy material. Good support & uplift.

Apperance: 2 The print: I love it!!! Soo pretty. I don’t know If I like the black or the blue one better https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> But the shape is just odd.

Quality: 4.5 looks good to me (I won’t keep it so I can’t say how it will wear out in time)

    Overall: 3.5 / 5 hearts
    Give it a try if you don’t mind a pointy retro lookhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

  12. Boudoir Beau (PA07)

So I would recommend to get this bra a cup size bigger than you usual Cleo/Panache size.
It offers more coverage than for example Cleo balconettes but feels also much more supportive. The lace on top of the cups is NOT stretchy. So keep this into account. In a too small size it might cut in.
Band runs remotely tight, so get your usual band size.
Shoulder straps are not fully adjustable.

    What I like about it:
    -Stable construction
-Good coverage (fabric comes higher than average Cleo Balconette)
-Makes you feel supported and secure (boobs of steel)
-Wires do not come too high under the arms
-It comes in different pretty colours up to K-Cup

What I dislike ... about it:
-Shoulder straps roll themselves inward and cut in badly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
-The upper section of the cup is quite big so in the “J-Cup and Up size range” it might look different than on the bravissimo models
    - the wires are quite stiff (which is good for support, but bad when you have to bend them to fit your shape)
    - is a bit uncomfy at first, needs some time to break in

Comfort: 3 (-2 for shoulder straps – they are from hell!)
Appearance: 4 (-1 because it looks actually better on the pictures)
Quality: 4.5 (maybe I have to add something here after owning it for a while…)

    Overall I give it a 4 https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

At first I thought I wouldn't fasten it, the band felt so small, but then I managed to hook it up on the first hooks and apart from the wires digging into the sternum it isn't uncomfortable, just sits tight like Pollyanna does (maybe after a whole days wear I'll have grooves on the sides, didn't try).
The wire is almost perfect - doesn't go to far into the armpit, doesn't stretch too high so it would poke, doesn't come too high up in the front, the only problem is that it digs into the sternum quite uncomfortably and the tunnel for the wire is 2cm bigger than the wire's length so the wire can move along the cup. The cup is a tad big, it wrinkles and I have space there for more boob https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

Because of the wire digging in and the cup being too big I'm sending it back.

Positives - I find the bra really comfortable and it gives me a really good shape and lift. It washes well.

Negatives - the band comes up about an inch too big and the smallest band size is 30, so I cannot size down in the band. I brought the grey and navy but had to exchange the navy for another one due to it being faulty (poor stitching). The band does roll over but it doesn’t cause any discomfort so I want too bothered by this. The straps are only partially adjustable and it would be nice to be able to tighten them up a little more.

Overall I like this bra, it does the job and it’s comfortable.

I got this bra, and several others, in an exchange with veggiechic.
The band on this bra is VERY firm. I could only get it to stretch to 28 inches, although other owners have apparently gotten it to stretch farther.
The cups are extremely small on me, and give me a hilarious up-ward pointing shape. It seems to be smaller than other bras of the same size.
The pattern is different and fun.

Bubbles is a soft (unpadded) balconette bra. It has a unique circular pattern in Pinks Blue and Teal.

The band stretches from 24” to a max of 30.5”, so it’s not true to size but perfect for those of us who really should be wearing a 28 band.

Cup depth is 13.5 as measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure into the cup without any resistance, to a max of 15” stretched over the knee.

For me, this bra was too small in the cup, giving my breasts an odd torpedo shape as well as quad boob. It also had a minimizing effect. Not comfortable or appealing….

The reviews on Bravissimo's own site included people who had gone up 1, 2 or even 3 cup sizes in this bikini top, so I ordered both 30J and 30JJ rather than 30HH to try. This 30JJ is too large - there is a bit of looseness in the top of the cups, and they come up far too high on me. The wires are also much wider than I need. However the 30J is too small, still with excessively wide wires! So clearly the shape doesn't work for me. I wouldn't be surprised if that was most of the reason others needed larger cups, too. The top ... of the cup is very closed off and I think it will cut in and cause quadding for people who aren't mostly or entirely bottom-full, unless you size up.
There are differences between the 30J and 30JJ - the larger bra is not just made of the same shaped bits of cloth cut slightly larger. Someone has put in some thought and decided to make the gore narrower in the larger cup size and the wing more substantial. I have attached photos to show the diffences. In this top the wing extends sideways from the top of the underwire, then slopes down to the clasp only after the place where the shoulder strap is attached. In the smaller top the wing is triangular, and there is no bra band at all under the underwires. This 30JJ certainly isn't a longline, but it does have a little bit of band - about a centimeter - down below the underwires.
I think the 30J would be more comfortable for me if they made these changes at this level, but they must have decided J is too small to need them.

    30JJ

    Hasn't set fit

Fits nicely ( I am usually a 32HH). A bit less front forward projection than I like it, but not too bad.

    Didn't fit

Feels like it pushes my boobs downwards. Gives me a ski-jump profile from the side. No bigger cup sizes available for the 30 band.
Wish it gave a good shape because band is fairly firm.
