Well. It IS pointy, as so many people have noted. And east-west-y. And my boyfriend hates it. But you know what? I have been wearing this bra constantly. It is so comfortable. The band is firm and back-fat repellent, the straps are comfy, and my boobs are very well taken care of. They really feel supported. The gore sits flat, the print is adorable... I love it. And yeah, my boobs look kind of funny under most shirts. I just don't really care. Oh and it looks AMAZING under a lot of dresses, especially stretchy ...and retro ones. If you have told me when I got it that I'd be saying this, I would have laughed, but... I think I'm going to order another.
The only cons for me are as follows: The wires are WAY too wide for my narrow-root boobs. They come half-way around my sides. For a while they were really poking, and I tried unsuccessfully to bend them, but luckily at this point things seemed to have work themselves out and the poking is gone. It still leaves a bunch of weird empty fabric on the sides, which my boobs sort of settle into, but it would be much better for me if the wires were significantly more narrow. I would also prefer a closer-set center gore, but I say that about pretty much all bras. And lastly, while they are comfy, I think the top of the bra would fit slightly better if the straps were a little closer in. You can kind of see in the pictures that if I hold up the front of the cup more, I get a better fit. But oh well. Like I said... Sooooo comfy. Read more 203 more words
You've probably heard that this bra is pointy. Yeah it is a bit, has a retro feel to it. But it's also in kind of a cute way rather than an old ugly bullet breasts way. You may have also heard about this bra's uplift. All I can say is YES. It's in the construction of the seams. I don't know if to get this kind of up lift you need pointyness, but I'm doubting it. This kind of uplift is near impossible to get without padding in this small underbust/large bust range but it does it effortlessly because of the construction. I think this bra is a solid choice in the few bras our size range has.
It actually tacks with my close set breasts, doesn't quad boob or even threaten it, doesn't shift and did I mention the uplift? This bra became more rounded as time went on for me, but that could be due to me filling it out better.
Ridiculously gorgeous bra, even if it is rather pointy on me (apparently it's a lot less pointy under a J cup?), though I found the black/café pointier than the aqua/red. It takes a lot of jiggling to get into the right place, but settles over time. Good fit and comfortable, although the central gore does put a bit too much pressure my sternum - I'm not sure if it's slightly too long or short, but it isn't a huge issue. A lot of reviews say it runs large in the band/cup, but I've found my regular size to be fine - it's about half a cup larger in the aqua/red than a usual Bravissimo 30JJ, I think, and I found the black/café more true to size in the cups.
The Dotty Spot is said to run slightly larger in the cups in the original aqua/red, and I think in black/café the cups are closer to being true-to-size. It is pointier in the black/café than aqua/red. I found the central gore puts just slightly too much pressure on my sternum in both colourways, and I'm not quite sure why, but it isn't a huge issue. I wore my usual size, and it isn't too loose in the band at all.
This is my second bravissimo bra, and I have to say I love the quality and fabrics they use. I even love the crazy red on blue polka dots https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> This bra definitely gives a more pointed shape as others have said but I don't find it super noticeable under most of my clothing. What I do notice is the great support and lift I get! It is also super comfortable, rivals my ewa for comfort and is definitively better for comfort than my panache jasmine.
