Highly reccomend to all boobs that like to feel very secure and aren't interested in showing too much skin.
The pluses + It gives lovely uplifted, front and center shape (a bit pointier than Cleos, but very youthfull and perky also known as the "green shape from Bras I hate blog) + Support level is superb - it gives me boobs of steel no jiggling AT ALL!! + perefctly snug band, very comfortable and wide, makes me stand up straight + straps adjust all the way + Very stable construction - thanks to a fairly high, but quite narrow center gore + coverage perfect for ...everyday wear + lace doesnt look cheap (apart from the lacey bow in the middle that can be easily removed)
Cons The straps. They kill me to the point of wanting to cut them into pieces and attach freya antoinette straps. I can wear this bra only with silicon strap pads that - as it turnes out - i am alergic to.
Room for improvement - Upper part of the cup isn't made from stretch lace (actually thought it was streatchy, that's why I ordered it so a bit dissapointed) - I would apreciate wider/higher side wings to cover up some bulging -There is about an inch of empty room in a wire channel - even thogh that's probably more comfortable to wear under arm, I can imagine causing it wires to pop out after time.
I maybe should have gone for a 30J - I went against my better judgement :/ Aside the cups being tad too small (this is too small by standards of all ladies that think Bras I hate sometimes wears too small cups) and giving me a bit of a quadboob when I pull my shoulders back, it is certainly wearable (with a bit of tucking in action). Im keeping this bra because - I feel a cup up might compromise the boobs of steel feeling - I hope it will streach a bit with wear (following Curvy wordy's/ Elizas advice) - I hope to drop a few pounds - I'm too lazy to send it back Read more 254 more words
I'm about a 30KK and tried this as I remembered it being big in the cups, but I found this to be too small for me. The cups are very deep, but very closed on top, resulting in an extremely pointy, projected shape but with a lot of overspill. Despite having too much upper fullness for this bra, I also have slight wrinkling along the apex, which is a bit. I would think this bra may be more successful on those who are more bottom heavy. I found it to be quite east-west, and I didn’t seem to be able to get a very uplifted shape however much ...I tightened the straps. I found the wires to be quite wide (Brav wires tend to stretch easily), and the gore fairly standard for Bravissimo (narrow but tall). I found the gore to dig in a bit, I think due to the height and my close-set breasts. The band seemed like a true to size 30, and the bra sports the usual 3 hooks and fully adjustable straps. As with most bras, I found the straps to be slightly too wide set for my frame, but they seemed fairly standard for Bravissimo. The sides were a reasonable height too, though I would have preferred lower. Read more 105 more words
This bra runs about half a cup big, so those in between sizes may find a better fit in their smaller cup. I'm usually spot on for Brav's 30JJs, so I have a little bit of wrinkling, but not enough to need a 30J. It gives a very uplifted shape with a high apex - it is somewhat pointy in my size, but still rounder than the Dotty Spot or Alana. Quite east-west and separated - it looks a bit wider from the front than the Alana. The wires are pretty standard for Bravissimo, which is relatively narrow for a high-end cup. The band feels like a fairly firm 30, and is made of a comfortable stretchy material. I loooove the emerald colour with black lace overlay, I just wish it didn't have the extra lining, it makes it quite a bit less delicate looking.
The Boudoir Beau is one of my favourite everyday bras. It gives a very nice rounded and up-front shape, and it's very comfortable. My older bras are in size 32H, which fits (barely) in the cups but has become too loose in the band for me. I have them in the last hook and I still feel the wires aren't resting against my ribcage completely. So I took a smaller band and upped the cupsize with one to get a better fit. Now, be warned. The band in 30J is _really_ sturdy, there's practically no stretch at all. I wonder if it's got something to do with the ...colour as my older bras are wine/graphite and this new one is white. Anyway, the difference is considerable. The cups are indeed that tiny bit bigger so now I have no fear of quadraboob, but in J cup the tightness of the cup's lace border is more decisive than in H cup, so if you have top-full boobs and wear bigger cups than J in Bravissimo bras, it might be better to go straight for JJ. The cups feel overall a bit small in general. Read more 86 more words
So I would recommend to get this bra a cup size bigger than you usual Cleo/Panache size. It offers more coverage than for example Cleo balconettes but feels also much more supportive. The lace on top of the cups is NOT stretchy. So keep this into account. In a too small size it might cut in. Band runs remotely tight, so get your usual band size. Shoulder straps are not fully adjustable.
What I like about it: -Stable construction -Good coverage (fabric comes higher than average Cleo Balconette) -Makes you feel supported and secure (boobs of steel) -Wires do not come too high under the arms -It comes in different pretty colours up to K-Cup
What I dislike ...about it: -Shoulder straps roll themselves inward and cut in badly -The upper section of the cup is quite big so in the “J-Cup and Up size range” it might look different than on the bravissimo models - the wires are quite stiff (which is good for support, but bad when you have to bend them to fit your shape) - is a bit uncomfy at first, needs some time to break in
Comfort: 3 (-2 for shoulder straps – they are from hell!) Appearance: 4 (-1 because it looks actually better on the pictures) Quality: 4.5 (maybe I have to add something here after owning it for a while…)
I'm going mad over this bra. I think I'll just drop it. This is the 3rd one I've tried, in the same size, but different color, as the first one which fit, but this is too small! Black lace is tighter than the pink lace, I guess Maybe I will get it in 34JJ, but that's a lot of attempts for a bra that doesn't even give me my prefered shape... Sucks to have to keep giving certain bras just because they "aren't bad". I want GREAT bras!
A very good bra, although the center front could be lower. If I have to bend over, they'll poke into my chest. The shape this bra gives is an upfront and center perky, my DH says it's positively wicked nice. The bra is sturdy, so the support is good. Doesn't stretch out with wear and the lace is solid but not scratchy. Nice colour (wine red/graphite).
*** Edit: I ordered another one of these and hey presto - no poking anywhere! The older bra's wires seem to sit further up in the front and lower under the arms than the new one's. The difference is 7 mm or so, but it counts.
It is a nice bra but unfortunately the shape is not ok for me. It is too torpedo, and my shoulder are very narrow and for this bra. The shape of my boobs are to wide as well. The caps are a little bit small to me, actually I use a Tango 32k. (I try to find a good bravissimo bra but it is not fit to me.) The wires are quite narrow, and three is empty space under the arm but it is not disturbing.
Colour: plum/blossom Pros: bands true to size Nice colour Not digging Falt at stertum
