  1. Niya (LN659)

Fits well enough.. I had the same bra in a smaller size 2 yrs ago and I preferred how that one fit.. I guess my size is the issue then rather than the bra - I liked how it looked when I was a bit smaller.. I feel like this bra is not stretchy enough in the all over inc straps to accommodate this cup size in a flattering way.. instead it feels a lot like I'm not wearing a bra and not in a good way. I just don't feel uplifted or supported..
It is a slightly padded cup so it does give a rounded shape and modesty but my boobs just lie in the cups - its like wearing a mask to hide rather than lift and actually support.
    Don't like the nude colour

TLDR; Gorgeous, comfortable, but awful fit. (Measurements coming soon)

My god this is the most beautiful color of red i've seen in my life, I want to wear this color and only this color for the rest of my life, thanks. I love it so much that I was blind to see the awful fit until I looked at the pictures I took haha. My god what a terrible fit.

So, from the front the cups don't look that bad actually. The gore is a little sideways crooked but didn't bother me. The wires are wide yes but they end quite low on me so I didn't mind that either. ... My main issue is how much wrinkling I get in the bottom of the cup. This bra reminds me a bit of Lacey in that it's quite tall and shallow, but it doesn't go up in the armpit like Lacey.

The back of it is very easy to "clasp" because it's a strong magnet and it make a little clicky sound when it clasps shut, so you'll know it's secure. I've never had a bra like this that wasn't a sports bra and generally I am not used to having stuff touching my back, I don't even like racerback tank tops, but I didn't think about this when I ordered the bra. It does annoy me a little, so if you are sensitive to stuff on your back maybe you don't like this bra.

Even though it fits me not great, and the back straps annoy me a little, it's very comfortable overall. Paired with the absolutely stunning color, I am seriously trying to figure out a way I can make this bra work for me because I want it.. I neeed it in my life haha.

It has 4 hook bands, and the straps are not fully adjustable but they are adjustable from the front of the cups all the way to where the lace begin on the back, and I by habit made them the loosest I could, but I didn't need to do that with this, so yay for long enough straps! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The quality feels great, it's soft and just lovely. The band feels TTS but I had no trouble getting this hooked, just spinning it around was harder because it has a wider band.

Overall, if this didn't wrinkle in the bottom of the cups, I'd just be giving this 10/10 haha but sadly I can't. I think if you are a bit more shallow with tall roots, you will
    really enjoy this bra.

    • Oh man, that red really is gorgeous! I’m with you - those rich, velvety reds are one of my fave colors. Too bad on the fit :p Didn’t look it cut in anywhere - any chance a smaller cup would be better? Or would that exacerbate the wrinkling at the bottom of the cups - is it from inadequate projection?

    • 1

So, if I get smaller cup I think my boobs would push the bra away from me and get floaty gore. It's one of those kinda bras. But main issue I think is it's lacking immediate projection, perhaps if it had better projection overall and wasn't so tall it would fit me much better.

I've also treid it on 2 more times now but I've determined that the back-clasping thing annoy me aswell, I can feel it too much hehe. Sad but maybe there'll be another red bra another day!

    • 2

Oh and also it is too tall, my boob only fills up to the halfway line (if you look at it sideways). The rest of it is pretty empty lol. I have too short roots for this bra hehe.

    • Such a shame as both the color and the back are really beautiful indeed!
But yes fit-wise I see your point.. And hey, if it's not comfy you won't wear it anyway.

    • That bra is gorgeous on you...too bad about the fit. Could the bottom wrinkling be from oberall too large cup? Size down would help with cup width and wire lenght... but also offer less space on bottom. Will you get 34J?

    • Like, I'm getting an exchange done anyway for Gemma so I could try this in 34J too but I feel like I'd be annoyed by the back too much, not sure. It's so pretty I don't know what to Sooo :(

No dont do it if it annoys you so much only from short trial time. I made mistakes of keeping bras thst ended up not working for full day wear. It will only get worse :(

    Didn't fit

The Georgia is discontinued now. Apparently it's similar to Bravissimo Selina, but I find the Selina to be a bit more open on top.
I struggled with this Georgia bra, the cup edge would cut in. Apart from that it's quite decent on me. I put it away for when I loose a bit of weight.

In the mean time I received two 32KK bras that cause lot's of other issues so I went back to my 32Ks.
So I found a way to make this bra work: I added an extender on the inner most row of hooks and close it that way - so the extender only adds ... like 1 cm over extra band, but that gives me the space I need in the top of the cups. The cutting in is suddenly gone! Sometimes bra issues are caused by such tiny details.

On the other side I did not find the band to be too large, so I won't be able to go "larger" with the extender or loose support.
Fabric is actually quite nice, it feels soft and it's on the thinner side but not flimsy. The shape I get is round and centered. The bra is supportive and the wires are average width and the gore is a bit lower compared to other bras in the size range.

Great creative problem-solving! I'm learning so so much about my own shape and how to trouble-shoot bras from reading your experiences! Namely, not to be so rigid in my thinking of fit/doesn't fit. Good for you!

    • The problem solving helped for 1 day and on another day I had to remove the quickly because it felt not supportive enough.

    Fits

I decided to keep this bra. It might be slightly big/tall for me, and a little wide, but overall I find it to be very comfortable and supportive, and I need that in my life .

What drew me to this bra was the print. I love leopard print, I own so many clothes in leopard, it's only fair I get a bra too? (One of my first bras was Cleo Maya which was leopard print!) And also the fact that this was a new bra and since I was making an order, I figured I'd give it a shot. I opted for 34JJ as that's my most worn ... size in Panache/Elomi.

The bra is a full cup, 4 part bra. The lace part is not stretchy, and it's double layered. It is mesh, but only the outer part is scratchy mesh, the inner part is soft. It does have a slightly stretchy line across the top of the lace. The leopard part of the bra is silky, satin material. (Very similar to elomi kim). It's very soft and nice against the skin. It has soft, almost felt material straps which are fully adjustable.

It has a snug band, again common with Bravissimo. I have to use an extender to break this in but that's fine.

Now the wires. it feels like they have more of a rounder shape than a wire that stretches really far back (Like Alana). Because of that, I find this to fit much better, even though it's overall still a little tall and wide for me (I get some wrinkles in the area). It's wearable for me definitely.

I'd be curious how it would fit in a 34J or maybe a 36J, next time if I try more Bravissimo, I'll be sure to order 2 of the same bra but different size to make sure.

I wish this bra worked for me but sadly it does not. I find the wires just under my boobs to be very uncomfortable, and I can't get it to sit properly in the IMF. I need more immediate projection than this bra can give me. The gore does not tack on me, it's not very sturdy so I think that also has something to do with it, but since that's hidden under the cloth-part I would have overlooked that if the rest of the bra was comfortable.

The wires are also very wide.

The band is on the tighter side so I had to wear extender. ... Maybe in a 36J I would have found this to be more comfortable but I think it's a shape issue in the end.

I like the look of this, although I'd prefer a single color over stripes because it's more versatile to wear peeking through low cut tops. the band curls up and I tried to fold it like alisa had showed me how she did, but I couldn't get it to stay that way, I think my fat roll didn't approve. I like the straps they are very soft, although because of that I had trouble adjusting them. The inside bra is okay fabric, not scratchy or anything like that, and the top-fabric is very soft.

It has 3 rows with 4 hooks, so if you need an extender maybe that's tricky. If you don't want a super snug band I would size up.

If your shape fits into this bra I think it's probably a very good bra, but for me it doesn't work https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

    • :( So sorry my recommendation didn't work.
I have 4 hook extenders I once got for an diy project. They can be found on ebay or I could send you one. They come in hand with Arla as I find my 32 bands too tight. It runs runs than other styles. I can see that the wire is too wide on you - maybe the tight band distorts it and makes the cups appear shallower than they are? I def say if you ever give it another chance size up to 36 band.
Do you have V shape, A shape or straight ribcage? That also can have an impact. I also have upper belly fat roll but the band caused no issue. My ribage is more A as I 'm smallest at underbust and my waist is wider than my underbust.

    • argh cannot edit my comment :S I meant: "the 32 run *smaller than other styles."

    • alisa Well I tried it with 2 2hook extenders aswell, just to see, but it didn't really help with the wires.

I'm not sure about the ribcage, I've never really thought about it. Probably V or straight, maybe a bit more V?

I tried all the bras I got with extenders too just to see, I am breaking in the Allie with an extender (I just needed 1 extra row for it though, so don't think I'd get that in a 36 at least :P) This one yeah I think 1 band up would be better. But I think it's just a little wonky shape for me. Like the bra on the inside fits awful :/

    • No don't size up if you don't need a full extender. I notice that even my ribcage fluctuates :S Sometimes I have to wear Arla with extender... on another day it felt good without and so on. :S
Do you keep the Allie? :)

    • Yes I keep allie, I've worn it twice going out for just a couple of hours. It's very comfortable so far. I love it :)

    Didn't fit

This was my first full Swimsuit I tried on from Bravissimo and the first one I tried in years since I had lost weight. I used to struggle with swimsuits as they never fit quite right, so I sticked to tankinis. I was curious if Bravissimo swimsuits might fit me better than a very ill-fitting Panache Veronica I had years ago.
This one was on sale so I gave it a try. Reviews said that the cups run large - so I decided to size down. I asked customer service how to choose the best size in a suit so it also fits the rest of my body ... and they told me that if I'm size 14 in clothes I need to choose 34 band.

Anyway - when I tried to get it on I almost thought it wouldn't happen- I have thick thighs it would almost not go over. Lets say it was a huge struggle to get it on. It took me like 10 mins.

So when I finally had it on I tried to adjust the bra part which is padded underwired cups under swimwear fabric. Since my lower body took up a lot of space in the suit (I'm 169cm tall) the underwires sat about 1-2 cm too low. I tried to move the suit up as much as possible but it gave me more leg exposure than I wanted. Like those high leg briefs... which is not a look I like and not flattering on my figure. Also it was difficult to close. Once I had it on I felt constricted and the padded cups (which imo didn't run large) felt very tight on my boobs. To make it short, I really disliked every minute I wore it.

I think if I ever would try another swimstyle I have to size up to a 36 band and HH cup maybe to get a better fit. As I am currently a size UK 16 that would probably work better - but maybe would still be not long in enough in the body? Bands run tight so sizing up in band size is not such an issue.
But if I go by Bravissimo sizing rules, my usual band size 32 would put me in a size 12 swimsuit which would never work. I think I will stick to separates as Swimwear.

Cup sized swimsuits are so hard to fit! I've tried a few over the last few years, and I always find that I have to size up in the band so that I can get it over my body (and off again), and then the band ends up being loose so the cups don't fit right. Tankinis are impossible to put on/get off in my actual cup size, and even 1 size larger band isn't much better.
I decided this summer that I'll buy bikinis in cup sizes and tankinis/swimsuits in generic sized M (as I don't have much boob to hold up I figured that would be good enough). Hope your quest to find a suit is fruitful for you! I empathize with your journey, lol!

    • 1

Thanks for the review, my thighs are also very big and many swimsuits can't provide enough coverage for me.

    • 1

I went for a tankini over a swimsuit because I'm also tall, I knew for sure a regular swimsuit would never fit hehe. I've probably mentioned some time too that the tankini I got has built in bra hook closure in the back instead of the bikini closure, maybe that style would work better for you? because then the fabric part would be more relaxed in the back, and you'd have more of a bra band supporting instead. Perhaps then the wires would sit higher,( unless they are too shallow ofc)

      I also wear a UK 16 clothing although I like a loose fit, I can totally see a 34 being a size 14, although it's for sure a body con fit :P

Shame it didn't work out for you :( it looks so cute on you at least!! But comfort is key for sure.

    • 1

I'm glad it was helpful. I had to finally review it, since I sent it back 2 months ago. It had to be documented. I think a person with my measurements but with smaller height could probably fit this suit.
I just would have to size up more which would probably end up in having a band that is too large in a 36.

The onlyswimsuit that was made for taller women imo was 34HH - Curvy Kate » Sheer Class Black Plunge Swimsuit (CS001605 because it was longer in body and the wires were actually under my boobs. But it was a nightmare to get in.

    • 1

Swimsuits are so hard! Thanks for reviewing this to help future shoppers.

    • 1

I just read this: "Swimsuits sold by bra size are for people who are 5’5″. "
I'm not that much above 5'5" at about 5'7" (169cm) but it's still difficult for me to fit into them. They recommend size up in band and down in cup if taller and size down in band and up in cup if you are short.

So probably should go for something like 36H/HH next time I try.

The fit is very uplifted and the bra feels supportive all day. The band fits true to size. I like the thicker shoulder straps.
I also think that this bra allows a bit more volume on top compared to Bravissimo Alana in the same size. It's really good on my full on top boobs. I like that little extra strap added at the top of the cup. It looks really cute and is something different. Too bad this bra is now discontinued. I would have bought it in other colors too.

I was very excited to find this bra at the sale price in my size. This colorway is gone now but they restocked the bra in a black/beige color. It looks a bit like a sports bra but the lace makes it also look like a bralette. It is supportive since it has a regular bra built in. The bra underneath is in a beige color and it looks like a basic Alana-Balconette-cut. The material is nice and sturdy and has no stretch to it. Then there is the purple lace overlay that is also lined with a thin beige mesh fabric. The lace fabric is stretchy.

The ... fit: The band (wide with 3x3 hooks !) is tts and it's a bit tight on me, it also does not have so much stretch to it, so keep that in mind. The band part at the front does roll up with wear. The cups are likely to fit similar to regular Balconette cups in Bravissimo. I could use a bit more room on top but I always do since I'm very full on top.

The shoulder straps are full adjustable. I get a round centered shape in this bra. It almost feels a bit like the Panache Sports bra but thankfully it isn't as constricting. After a full day of wear I experienced some pain at the underwire at the underbust area. I think that the bra is a bit tight for me If I had the chance I would try a 34J to compare.

But for now it is okay, I don't always get the pain. I think that it is nice to have this bra in your rotation but maybe not to wear every single day.
I like to have something different in my collection. It also kinda downplays my boobs and I really love this look. I would like a bikini bra in this style!

    • Wow, I really like the looks of this. It gives you a really nice shape and it is cute.

    • 1

Would be great to wear under low cut shirts and dresses as a faux cami!

    • 1

Oh I haven't thought of this. Great idea. very handy in summertime so you don't have to wear an extra cami. I see now the appeal of the new black one they brought out, it will go with more colors to match.

    • 2

I have a dress that this would be perfect under, kind of wistful.

I hate layering, I don’t like the bulky feeling, so something like this would be great for me!

    • 1

I agree would be great for layering! I've never tried Bravissimo

    • I also don't like layering in summer. But as a busty girl I have often to wear a cami top for modesty. So this Maya bra really ticks a box.

confused Bravissimo bras are awesome, really recommend them. Quality and support is usually good.

    • 1

Oooh this is a cute style and definitely an option instead of wearing a cami under certain styles. I realised that I'm not a big fan of layering (mostly because of the heat).. So this is definitely an option to watch

    • 1

This bra is the same cut as the Maya bra. I think it's even better to wear a as cami-bra since black goes with everything: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/arla-bra-black-ln680blk/
      It's on my wish list.

    • 1

oooh, that's great! Thanks for the link...although I'm just realising that they only go up to a J, so I'll just have to leave it on my watch list for now :(

    • 1

Frazzleberry yes they do them only up to J-cup but I find it supportive enough it could easily work up higher. Maybe they expand the size range in the future? The band is tight but the cups do not run big... 30J maybe fits only close to 28JJ.

    • 1

alisa I find that when it comes to bravissimo I actually don't mind wearing their 30 backs, so I'm not too worried about the band size.

You're correct about the cups, as I don't feel it would be big enough. I'm almost tempted to try it in the 32J. But I think I'll wait to see if they expand their size range.

    • 1

    • Hey this one is 3 hooks all the way down to 30dd for some reason...

    • Frazzleberry I like that Bravissimo band sizes are very much true to size, 32 band never stretch more than 32 inch. I have Panache bras in 30 band that are bigger than some 32 on Bravissimo :) It's very good for us at the upper end of cup sizes.

cupandahalf I think for this style it fits the look of the bra so they went with it for all sizes. I wish they would do that on more also "regular" bras. Have 3 hook bra and other model with 2 hooks so everyone can choose what they like :)

    • Frazzleberry The Arla bra which is the same cut as Maya now comes up to K -cup! https://www.bravissimo.com/products/arla-bra-ln680/#navy-white-ln680nvw

The Darcy Bra is a full cup with side support. The top of the cup is made of very slightly stretchy stretchy lace but it's lined with unstretchy mesh. The fabric is nice and soft. I had a Darcy in a larger size in a colorful print and the fabric felt more luxurious thick and silky than on this.
It's a really basic everyday bra, the beige color goes well with my skin tone. There is another one in a floral print available.
The band is tts and average width for this size and closes with 3x3 set of hooks. The shoulder straps I find quite narrow, the larger cup have thicker straps on this style.
I currently fluctuate in size in the 32HH-J realm and this bra was too small in the cups. The top section does not allow a lot of room, so I recommend sizing up if between sizes and full on top.

I have another one of these in a 32J that is now too big. See my review here 32J - Bravissimo » Camilla Bra (LN597) . It was has more info on the bra itself. Since I really liked the bra I wanted to try the smaller size. Unfortunately it did not work out.

What I loved on this bra: that the wires are fairly narrow and the cups are deep and have lots of center room. (Note that I have to wear at least a 32J in Alana but can get away with 32HH on this). So I say that the cup volume would be ... good for me, it fits. The band is okay too, it is on the bigger side. I also noticed that it stretches out quickly with wear on my 32J.

Why do I not like it? First the Camilla bra is not the most supportive bra out there. It has a very thin stretchy lace at the top of the cups and much projection. The cups are very open on top and allow lots of center room. I almost get cleavage in this bra. But it also allows a lot of movement. It was okay though for occasional wear.
The 32HH now has only a two hook fastening, a thinner band and thinner straps. It makes the bra feel really flimsy and unsupportive. I feel like I would have to adjust my boobs all day. I also feel like my boobs push the bra down on the front and the band rides up at the back. It is a too weak construction for my size.

Oh that's pretty! Looks like a narrower center gore too. I might have to try this, with my smaller cup size it may be a good fit. 🤔

    • confused The gore is very narrow. In 32J it is overlapping. (It's not supposed to to that, but it does on me, which is a good thing since I prefer a narrow gore) Yes I recommend the bra if you don't need that much support. It's on sale now for 22£.

    • I really do love the look of this bra, I am sorry it didn't work out for you though :(

I wonder why they decided to go with only 2 rows for the hook fastenings?

I liked the feel of the bra overall and wanted to love it, but it just isn't what I'm looking for, even if it had fit perfectly. It is a full cup, so while it isn't exactly in my armpits, it does come up quite high in the cup and is too tall for my short frame. The fabric being soft made it something I could manage, however. The fabric is really soft and silky. Just overall really nice. The wires are short and nore on the narrow side, ... I'd say (NO rubbing there and I found them to be comfortable). This cup is pretty closed off on top, so FOT gals would not be compatible. The cup is also deep and projected. FOB and projected gals would have a good match here. I found the cups to be so projected that I'd have to size down to get a smooth fit. Although the cups were too baggy up top since my tissue settled into the bottom, I still got a smooth look under clothing. This bra gave me a natural shape that was not pointy (it was sort of rounded, but not the cleo basketball shape). I guess I'd just call it a natural round shape. I was uplifted for sure and my front view was narrow and centered. The gore was high, being that it is a full cup, but it was not uncomfortable at all. The gore was also unique in that the wires sat side by side until they reached the bottom of the cup, making the center gore as narrow as I've tried with no deviation until it rounded out to the bottom (I'm not sure how else to explain it). The band felt true to a 30 size. While I find Cleo bands to be tight and sort of scratchy, I found this band to be soft and have enough give to be comfortable. I am not sure how they would stretch, so that could change my thoughts on band sizing. If you need projection at the bottom of the cup and at the apex, this is worth a try. If you are FOT this is a pass.

My shape: Low set, soft, narrow and short rooted, slightly centre full and pendulous.

I've wanted this bra for quite some time, but wasn't sure how it would fit or what size to try, so I was glad to see it pop up on bratabase. I decided to give it a go. Pre ABTF I used to only wear push up plunges but, since finding ABTFs, I find that half cups and balconnettes give me a better shape (less pointy). I do like plunges though...

Anyways, this one has some slight signs of wear on the gore and band, but the cups and straps are in really good shape. I ... think the satiny material is really nice, and the bra is light. I like that it is made of satin material because it'll slip off my shirt instead of making a bra tent. The shape it creates is fairly round.. a little bit pointy on me, but then again, this bra is slightly too small on me. I get some bubbling on my centre tissue. Perhaps with a tiny bit bigger cup I would get a more rounded profile. Still, it's pretty good compared to some plunges I've tried.

The comfort is great... like I said, it's a nice light bra with a satiny exterior. It's good quality, but I wouldn't say it feels high end. The band is stretchy though, and too big for me. I tried it on the tigest hooks, which works for me, but then I have no more hooks to use if it stretches anymore. Not sure if that's because it's used or just because the band comes stretchy. I have a feeling it's probably a bit of both. The straps are very adjustable, even on my tall frame. The black flower pattern is pretty and I can match it to a bunch of different colour bottoms, which I like.

overall, I marked it as non-fitting, but will keep it and wear it (especially on my pre-ovulation days). I don't need a bra to be 100% in every way to be happy with it. As long as it's wearable and mostly fits, I'm happy!

    • Beautiful! I debated whether or not to get that one because of the band measurement. I do still want to try one of them though.

    • What a beautiful bra! This looks fabulous on you.

    • 1

Calluna thanks, it looks like we're wearing the same size these days, and our measurements are so close!
      rachaelll thanks.

    • Actually, your measurements are better for the band than the listing had so I could probably do it. I’m happy with 29-30” stretched bands right now, sometimes 29.5-30” if I feel more swollen. I think that we are pretty close, but you can do slightly snugger bands than me.

    • 1

Calluna , I am a little bit conservative when I stretch bands. I follow the instructions on this site...I only stretch them until I see the wires bending, and I measure from hook to eye (not from the hook to the end of the band). Not sure how consistently people measure like that. There were a couple measurements for the 30FF that said the band stretched to 32-33", with the previous owner of this particular bra measuring it at 32.3" (which would have required a firmer stretch for sure). It does feel stretchy though. I definitely could use a 28 in this model.

    • Yeah, it was closer to 32” which is why I passed on it. I’m also a conservative measurer. I initially measured hook to band end but now do hook to hook. I’m super nervous about over stretching as well. But the one rachaelll posted looked too small for me in the 28 band. So I think 30FF is right for me. Should you decide to part with this one, I might take it off your hands.

    • Calluna , I'll let you know. I have only tried it on so far. I need to wear it to see how it will work, and I'd like to try it during 'low tide' to see if it still cuts in. I'll keep you posted though if I plan on selling it!

    • Oh of course. :)

    • It's a beautiful bra and it looks great on you!

    • Thanks Sonya

    • 1

Wilderness1 that's exactly how I do it. thanks for confirming I'm doing right.

    Didn't fit

Okay, so I haven't used the bra as yet.. I'm just typing up a quick thing. I'm down and out with a nasty cold but figured I'd just put this here.

So this is review is for the black and aqua colourway model for the Bravissimo inspire sports bra. The main colour of the bra is black and has an aqua border along the top of the bra and the border of the straps.

It is a four part construction with a side sling connecting to the straps, a horizontal seam, and a vertical seam on the lower section of the cup.

The straps are not fully adjustable, which I assume ... is, in part, due to the padding on the first half of the straps. The straps ranges from 1.25" wide to 1.75". The latter being the section going over the shoulder.

The cup depth was measured and recorded at both maximum and minimum. The maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14 inches, and this is what I had entered in the measurement table. The minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 13 inches.

The band is quite firm for a 30 and would recommend ordering a band size up. For comparison I usually wear a 30 band on the tightest or second tightest hook, for this loosest was quite fine for me. And as the measurements show it is a 22 inch band that stretches to 27.3 inches.

I haven't done any heavy exercise with it as yet but I did a few jumps for testing purposes. While it doesn't reduce the bounce completely, it does reduce it significantly, and your breasts do feel secure when in it. While I do believe this could be a good bra for moderate to-heavy impact excercise, for me, it's cutting in at the top of the larger and smaller side.. But more noticeable on the larger. As well as empty space on the bottom and the sides. And I think these are what will contribute to it being not as effective as it could.

Also of note, the gore is similar to that of the Freya active sport and the Panache wired sport, in that, where the wires of the gore end, the gore continues..so there's a bit of some floating gore (if that makes any sense)

That being said, it fits better than my other sports bras, and it does it's job, so I'm sure I can get some mileage out of it 😉

Oh, one thing I'm not a big fan of, is the pointy shape.. But I'll live I suppose.

EDIT: Pictures should be up. I will note again, that it does cut into my breast tissue considerably, but I suppose, I can sort of hide it depending on the blouse I'm wearing (if only to get the mileage out of it). So the search for a proper sports bra continues.

Hmm, this sounds like something I'd want to try. Thanks for your review!

    • 1

Cool. I hope it works out for you, if you do try it. I just realised, I forgot to mention that the gore doesn't tack in the review.

Idk if it's a deal breaker for you but it's worth noting...

    • 1

If the gore is super wide like other UK bras that is ok! So long as the band isn't moving around so much when I exercise.

    • 1

From what I got the band stays pretty much in place. So this sounds like a safe bet :)

    • 1

Sounds very promising! Hope you feel better soon. <3

    • 1

It does seem promising. Thanks MamaPagan. I hope so too.

    • 1

Ah, sports bra and gores not tacking.

    • 1

Thanks, I have been looking forward to reading your review of this.

    • brasaremean , I know right?

      @veggiechic no problem ;)

    • 2

For real, if someone makes a sports bra with a gore that will tack on me I will probably make them a shrine and worship them on the daily.

    • 1

All hail to the bra goddess! ;-)

    • 1

brasaremean Do you really want them to though? Imagine them stabbing you in the chest when you bend over during yoga...

    • But you know how they say "no pain, no gain" haha

    • 1

Eh for yoga to be quite honest I find compression bras a lot more comfier.

    • 1

Pics are now up. veggiechic I know you were interested in this one. So hopefully the pictures can be a better guide. (I swear there wasn't that much cutting in before, but maybe it was the new bra shine getting to me, lol)

I will say, that I'm probably going to stop ordering the Bravissimo brand, because they don't ever seem to fit me. *sigh*

    • 1

      That’s a lot of quadding! Sorry 🙁

    • Frazzleberry I think you should start buying 60Ls with me......That looks painful!

    • 1

Sovavosi thanks..It's funny, because I'm not too certain there's much of a diff between their 30JJ and 30K. at least visually.

I remember the time when I went into their store and tried on their 30JJs and then fit their 30Ks there wasn't much of a difference, aside from the wires maybe being wider. Still I held out hope, because the rep I spoke to online mentioned the cup fit bigger on their sports bra. So I thought I'd give it a go. I'll still use it though...I really need to get cracking on doing some exercises.

    • 1

MamaPagan , ..It's just the bravissimo brand. that fits this way.. I hope. If not, I'll join you in the 60L group ;)

Funnily enough, or maybe because my breasts aren't tender at this time of the month (or maybe because I only tried it on for pics), it actually isn't painful right now. So yaay on that front.

    • Give it a few hours of wear though and I am thinking it will be painful with that quadding.
Hopefully you will get some wear out of it regardless!

    • 1

MamaPagan I'm hoping I get some mileage out of it also. The good thing is that I'll probably be wearing it for 2hrs max because that's how long my jogging/work out sessions may go up to. So I'm hoping that's enough time before before things start to get really painful. 😶

    • 1

      Fingers crossed it works. :-)

    • 1

ooof that looks small on you, hoping it won't be too uncomfortable. Feel free to update your review after you exercise in it :)

    • 1

veggiechic I'll definitely be updating the review after my exercise sessions ;)

This bra is so pretty. I desperately wanted it to fit. I ordered this bra blind (no data was available in this size) hoping for the best - but I think this model, in this size, might work better for someone with slightly wider and shallower breasts, who needs a firm band.

The appearance of this bra is outstanding. It is straight up gorgeous. The white lace overlay is dreamy and gives the bra a really romantic look and feel, and gives the bra an almost longline look without the extra fabric. The stretch lace at the top of the cup has lots of give - it ... is really accommodating. The bottom of the cups are lined with what appears to be power mesh and are much less forgiving - the hold / support of the cups is firm. While the stretch lace at the top was really accommodating for my FOT boobs (and looked great!), but the bottom of the cup was not quite deep enough and I felt very squished. The wires of this bra are also wider than I typically prefer.

The band of this bra was surprisingly firm. I typically wear a 28 band and found the band of this bra to be ideal on the middle hook. If you are a true 30 or need a little more stretch, you may want to size up.

    • I hear you on the Millie. The first time I ordered from Bravissimo, I sent it back, very sad because it is utterly stunning & I don't fully understand why. I ultimately got fitted into Millie at an actual U.K. Bravissimo, and my mind changed. I bought the dark blue one - still stunning - and figured out that I needed to go all the way to a 32H to fit properly. It is a very firm band, indeed.

    Didn't fit

This was one of the first bras I ordered in my Brascapade2018 and naturally I was still searching for the right size. I ordered this in 34E. I had to have it delivered to my friend's address in the USA because Bravissimo (gutted about this) doesn't deliver to me. Hence why one of the first bras I ordered I am getting among the last.

Even though the size is completely wrong (band is probably two sizes too big, and it's one cup too small), I can tell the shape this bra gives is exactly what I like. It's not rounded, but it's not pointy either... just, natural.

Now, the band ... I'm pretty sure doesn't run tts. It is extremely stretchy. Usually I can fasten a 34 on the loosest hook and it will still feel at first like it fits. Not with Dina... it is loose to the point of just feeling not supportive at all. I had to immediately fasten it to tightest hooks and even then it was still stretchy enough that it was riding up.

The cups seem to run true to size. I'm a 32FF and at 34E it was a cup too small. Really I just needed that little bit extra for it to fit... bummer. It's a three part cup, and it's really sturdy. I wasn't getting in cup quadding from the seams which happens to me a lot. Naturally the tops of the cups were cutting in because yeah, it's just too small. Even so, it felt like at the right size, it wouldn't have happened. I was getting some side spilling... again, too small.
IMPORTANT: the cup has no stretch at all. None. Zap. Nada. Asymmetry ladies might wanna watch out for that.

The gore is wide, but I'm pretty wide set so it's bearable. The reason it wasn't tacking perfectly is that overall the bra is not the right size. The wires felt perfect, seemed more narrow than wide, but again, the size is wrong, so it was messing up everything about the fit. They are very soft and flexible... really I barely even felt the wires.

Now the reason I bought this bra is because it's a basic black bra, nothing special, and then there's the little straps above cups that give it that special flavour. The straps are extremely stretchy but tight at the same time, and very very soft. I would say out of the whole bra, it's what fit me the best. They moulded perfectly to my breasts. The straps do seem a little delicate. I don't wash my bras in the washer or dry them in the dryer but I do know some ladies do it. I would absolutely not do it with this bra.

Dina is covered in nice soft mesh over the sturdy material used for cups. No nipples will show through it. Actually all the materials used in the bra are very nice and soft and comfy. The straps are amazing, a rare case when I don't have to loosen them all the way for them to not cut in to my shoulders.

I have to say, I am seriously considering getting this in 30G (actually now looking at the photos I'm thinking I might need a GG). I'm afraid that a 32 band will still be too loose for the way I like my bands (completely tight and unmovable). It's the first bra I actually want to order in the right size out of all I tried, that's how much I liked it.

    Hasn't set fit

Loving this sports bra! I've already described the construction in the review of size 36GG, so I'll only add here what's different.
After re-ordering this bra in a smaller cup size (as the size up was cutting in at the arm, sign for a wireless bra that the cups are too large), I've been wearing it quite regularly for workouts as well as under loose tops. I've machine washed it (delicate cycle) and it's been surviving very well, looks like new so far.
The position of the straps on the shoulders is very comfortable because it's so close to the neck and the straps are sitting directly on the ... muscle. This, together with the racerback, are solving a problem I didn't realise I had - I get a more comfortable range of movement of the shoulder because the straps don't interfere at all.
I have measured this bra after it's been worn a few times, whereas the 36GG I measured new. I notice that the unstretched band measures 5cm larger on the 36G - I don't know if this is all because it already stretched with use or there was some variation from the beginning as well. I haven't noticed it being overall any less supportive, but I have moved to using the 2nd or 3rd set of hooks. I would anyway recommend sizing down in this model, both in the cup and in the band.
Regarding measurements, the full height of the bra lying flat is 36cm.

This has been returned before I could measure it.

It has the same issues as the Marguerite http://bra.pe/XZ3t/ but worse, making it unwearable. The cups are too low and too closed on top. The edge somehow gapes and cuts in at the same time. The band is quite a bit tighter, pulling the wires out of shape and making the cups too wide (and I already have wide set boobs). There is also some empty space and wrinkling at the sides even though the cups feel too small in front it also doesn't give any lift even when the straps are really tight.

So I figured it would also work for me. Maybe it's not that simple.

That model looks good in just about everything. 😂 I wonder what her size is. They did a meet the models a while ago and I think that they mentioned sizes. This one has modeled for them for a long time.

    • 1

      Calluna
At least she also has a few wrinkles on the button of the cups. So they didn't photoshop her into it.

It looks like the orchid bra is riding up her back though. No 28s over a J cup either. Pity :(

“It looks like the orchid bra is riding up her back though.”

My conspiracy theory is that they put these models in very large bands so they don't show any back bulges. Effectively fat shaming everybody who buys the correct size.

I really like how Curvy Kate doesn't give a fuck about back fat in their catalog.

    • I kinda think if you had gotten a 30F or 28FF/G it would've worked out much better for you. In these pictures, to me, it doesn't look like it is too far away from fitting at all, it just looks like the cups are too small by either a cup or two worth of volume.

    • Wish it was available in my size :-(
      It's sooo beautiful!

    • LeProfessor
I would like to try that, but the 30F is out of stock, and the wires will probably be too wide in a 28FF. I also don't want to pay 6 Pounds of shipping for a 14.5 Pound bra.

So I urgently needed some new bras and this was the best of a bad bunch.... for me anyway. I don’t know why bravissimo stopped stocking all my favourite bras.. i think maybe because they want people to buy their own brand -_-
Anyway how it fits - it fits me perfectly, lifted and rounded shape and pushes them together, which I love, but it feels so flimsy.. so surprised that it is so supportive. It’s lpoke sexy and under clothes shape is ok but a little pigeon cheated at some angles.. for the price I wanted the shape to look perfect but it wasn’t to be and I absolutely needed to buy a bra so.
I’d gotten so used to my Freya deco bra tho and more padded styles that this feels odd but good for looking more streamlined and much needed minimising under tighter clothes. I have full short boobs that are close at top and splayed at bottom with lots of centre fullness if that helps

    • 1

Ah, I understand. Thanks, Bastet !

    • wiring poked through after 1 month.. tried to take it back but it was such a hassle I ended up paying to get it mended - that didn't last long at all.. so I looked up tips and apparently sanitary pads are good wrapped round sharp underwire that's poked through - that worked. But now one of the hooks have come off at the back and my fears that it looked flimsy proved true ;(

    • Wow, wire poked through and a hook came off?! Have you grown in cup or band size? How often have you been wearing the Niya? I'm a little concerned. I was thinking of buying a Niya when they come up with a pinky beige color. The peach color they think is nude is not, in fact, nude for anybody but plastic dolls, lol.

Anyway, you've had the Niya for about a year. About how many times did you wear it in the month before the wire poked through?

    I took the plunge!
I've never had problems with high gores so I've been a longtime fan from balconnet and ful cup styles as I like to feel contained and secure specially at work. Thing is great fitting bras gave me the confidence to finally embrace my boobs en consider low cut necklines never before on my personal clothes radar. When I saw the unpadded Elise and its subtle frill free design I had to try it.

The cups are made of one-sidedly printed fabric and finished at the upper border with elastic mesh. The material overall feels lighter and suppler as for example in the Panache Jasmine ... Balconnet Bra (6951) but nevertheless this bra brings my breasts in and stays equally put troughout an entire working day. It is surprisingly comfortable.
Never thought so low a gore would do the trick for me but it turned out I really like the natural tear-drop shape this bra gives me.

The 1'' wide gore is definitely something to consider if this is your fitting pittfall. But for my FoB wideset breasts the shape of this bra works pretty well even if I could use maybe a tad more projection at the bottom.
