Darcy bra cut was one of my fave from Bravissimo. In the + K cup range it's one of the best and most supportive bras. But also there aren't that many in that range.
my shape: narrow - medium wide tall root, full on top, center heavy and projected.
Darcy in + K cups has extra lining in bottom and top cup, which makes the bra extra sturdy and hard working. The material is nice woven fabric that feels soft. I really like it as it reminds me of Elomi & Sculptresse luxuorious fabrics. Also kinda like the print, it has grown on me, it's very spring like.
Now to ...the bra, the band runs really tight on this one. It feels like a 30L! I have to wear an extender for comfort on this bra. The wires are a U-shape and medium wide and quite tall. The cups are tall and slightly shallow. The bra keeps your boobs close to chest. I struggle a bit with projection at the wire, I have slight wrinking there. It's not very bad so I think it's okay to ignore it. The gore tacks and I can fill the cups well, size is correct. I just find the fabric comes very high under my arms. At first I found it uncomfortable but I have worn the bra for 1 hour and it was okay. It's a very supportive full cup bra, it's in the name, full coverage... no breast tissue can escape. I like bras like this as everyday bras that keep me secure and supported all day. If it were possible I'd exchange this bra for 34 band - but it was one of the last sizes on the sale section, so I probably gonna kept this one and wear it with extender. Read more 190 more words
The Darcy Bra is a full cup with side support. The top of the cup is made of very slightly stretchy stretchy lace but it's lined with unstretchy mesh. The fabric is nice and soft. I had a Darcy in a larger size in a colorful print and the fabric felt more luxurious thick and silky than on this. It's a really basic everyday bra, the beige color goes well with my skin tone. There is another one in a floral print available. The band is tts and average width for this size and closes with 3x3 set of hooks. The shoulder straps I find quite narrow, the larger cup have thicker straps on this style. I currently fluctuate in size in the 32HH-J realm and this bra was too small in the cups. The top section does not allow a lot of room, so I recommend sizing up if between sizes and full on top.
The Darcy bra is a full-cup style based on the popular Urban Rose, it's a 4 part cup construction with side support. The upper section of the cup has stretchy lace, but it is lined with a non stretchy fabric in this size. The cup edge has a little stretch. The wires are quite narrow on this bra. 18cm in 34JJ! (other Bravissimo bras I measured in the same size, had wire widths up to 20.5cm!) The fabric is very soft and silky. It's actually my favorite fabric that Bravisismo uses. The bra gives amazing uplift and support.
How it fits me: The band feels too big and rides up ...just a little. I would already close it on the tightest setting for support. The cups are a tiny bit too big, there is slight wrinkling on top. I think that the wrinkling is caused because the cups are a bit too tall for me in this size. The wires are as usual a bit too wide on the sides and I get some wrinkling there too. (I don't think the wires are bad, they are better than on most bras I tried)
I used to love this full-cup style when I was around the size of 34KK/34L. It gave my super tall, FOT boobs the best support and coverage. You really need a sturdy bra at that size and the Darcy is one! Now that I lost weight, I also lost some of my upper fluffy fullness. I can barely fill these tall full cup styles anymore and had to size down a lot. I also think that I should size down to a 32JJ in this bra. On the other side I'm a little scared that the really tall top section could push my boobs down if it's not too big anymore. Another thing that I noticed that Balconettes with a less large upper cup section might work better for me at my current size and shape, and that traditional full cups are just too tall for my boobs now.
Cup height of the lower cup half (from wire to where the fabric meets the lace) : 18.5cm Cup height of the upper cup half: 9.5cm
For comparison: Melrose has a lower cup half or 17cm and a upper cup half of 11.5cm, the apex of the bra is much lower than on Darcy. (keep that in mind , not all full-cups are the same even if Bravissimo claims they are all the same shape modelled after the Melrose) Read more 309 more words
A full cup style, this one that has somewhat stretchy lace on top. The top stretch lace is not nearly as stretchy as something like a cleo Hettie, but definitely was not firm. There is a thin elastic strip at the top of the stretch lace, which for someone soft like me is a nice addition. The downside is that it was a full cup style. Too much bra that came up too high for my taste. The wires do not poke and are comfortable. The cup is tall, as one would expect a full cup to be. The gore comes up high, but is fairly narrow and ...doesn't begin to move outward until the bottom of the cup where the wire goes into a curve. This bra had great support and good projection (although slightly less than the bravissimo Selina). There is slightly less projection somewhere in the cup - either at the wire or apex, making it have a bit more of a round shape for me. Still is a very natural shape, but has no indication of a point at all. It gives a narrow, up front and center look and very projected from the side. This bra would be good for those who wear the Panache envy, I think. Similar in structure, but I think it is a bit rounder than the envy in profile. This was a true to size in the band. The fabric is a nice allover mesh and there is a silky lining inside the cups. Comfortable for sure. Read more 149 more words
I love this bra. One of the best in the +K - cup range. It fitted me very well during a time of 2-3 months, then it became too big after I lost some weight. It's super supportive and I really recommend trying it if you are in the +K cup size range. Check my review of 34JJ - Bravissimo » Darcy Bra (LN260) for more details about the bra itself.
Note that the pics are added here were taken when the bra was already too big. I forgot to take pics when it actually fitted me. To see how the bra would have looked when it fitted me, check out my pictures of 32L - Bravissimo » Darcy Bra (LN395).
It is a Darcy bra from Bravissimo website. Colour: named mono, its a black-Gray variants from Roses. The bra itself is the same as LN395 Darcy. There are only 1-2 mm differences. See my other remark at LN395 34l variants.
