This is the first nice bra I've bought for myself since losing roughly 75 pounds. I bought it on a wing and a prayer online because it was on sale and my local shop isn't doing in-person fittings at this time, so I used the calculator here and held my breath until I opened the package today. This bra is gorgeous, I don't know why more people haven't bought it! The colour is so dreamy and pretty. It gives me the *slightest* quadding above the cup, but I'm at the height of water retention during my cycle, so I'm not bothered. The gore tacks *so well* on me, ...something I've missed during my "this'll do"period of bra complacency while I was still losing weight. The band looks very tight on me at the back, but it's comfortable; it's just the result of having softer back tissue now.
I've only worn it briefly for the photos so far, but I'm very impressed by how comfortable it is without moulding the wires to shape, which I always do pretty early on. The side sling is a nice feature, and I greatly appreciate the plushy non-stretch tape at the front straps to minimize bounce. Only a few of my bras have this and I really like it. Oh dear, this would be my epic dream bra if only it was more comfortable and fit better! The gorgeous rich colours, the stretch lace, nice rounded profile.. I absolutely love Clara's appearance!
Tried this bra in a couple sizes (30H, 30HH, 32GG, 32H) and actually they all 'kind of' fit.. No major jumps in band and cup between sizes, stretch lace makes for a forgiving fit. The 30 band made the hard wires + gore too stabby for me. The 30HH and 32H were too full coverage for my taste. In the end I went for 32GG as it had the least issues. Clara works much ...much better for me than Andorra, which I tried (but hated) in a 30H. They're supposed to be sister cuts but I found the Andorra's cups less flattering and too tall.
However, in Clara the fit is still not great and comfort-wise it could be better as well.
Gore: too wide and too tall for my fairly close set boobs. At first it tacked like a bench screw, but I used pliers to bend the upper gore outwards. Somewhat better now, but still pokes my tissue in certain poses (reclining, leaning).
Cups: too shallow at the bottom I guess? They tend to slide down from my IMF, leaving empty space at the bottom. Hoisting the cups up makes it better (should've added a picture), but this also causes the gore to be even taller.
Wires: quite firm and long, but most of the wire length is in the gore, not on the sides. For me I don't like (or need) much side coverage, but others may find the sides too low.
Straps: are mostly ok, but as usual they're too wide in my armpit area.
Band: went with a size bigger than usual (32 instead of 30) because in this style it feels more comfortable than the 30 band.
All in all this is a gorgeous bra IMO, and like I mentioned it is pretty forgiving size-wise. If you don't like hard wires and stabby gores, sizing up in the band helps a bit.
Because of how much I like it, I'm willing to ignore some fit issues. And as for comfort, I can work a full day in Clara without it being too chafey. But because of the gore it is definitely not suitable for after-work relaxing on the couch in the evening. Matching panties are very pretty too and fit my bigger hips & bum well in UK size 14.
After finding that a lot of my previous fit issues with Panache (straps too far apart, wires much too wide, cups digging into my arm pit, gaps in cup, etc.) were all nearly eliminated with my 32GG - Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) in a smaller cup size I generally go for in Panache, I decided to give this one a go in a 32GG as well. So glad I did! Holy projection, Batman. This gives Cleo levels of projection and lift, miles (or...erg....inches, many inches) better than any other UK bra I've tried before. My only fit quibble, other than the usual Panache ...super strong wires and super firm band, which will be alleviated with some wash and wear, is that the top cuts in slightly on my right breast -- the bigger of the 2, always causing problems. Once I pull up the cups a bit and force my tissue really into the cup, it's not really an issue anymore. Other than that, love the lift, support, and projection with this baby!
Aesthetically, the ivory colorway is much more brighter and gorgeous in person. I haven't really been a fan of their past prints, but LOVE this. The ivory background is a lovely neutral, and the bright colors of the sweet flowers really pop against the lighter base color.
Features: J-hook, side support, soft padded straps, flexible and soft spacer foam cups. Center-pull straps!
"Cashmere" is a neutral light beige colorway. Great nude for paler skin. Subdued tasteful detailing if a little safe and boring - soft picot trim along the edges of the cups, small heart-shaped bows in the same color as the bra. Geometric stitching as decoration on center gore and to the sides of the cups. Band is a single layer of power mesh. Spacer foam is very malleable and conforms well to my tons of bottom and center fullness, but the lack of seams and the soft material means I get a bit more ...of a widely set look despite narrow cups and side support, and that perky nipples are visible through the material. I'd say the cups fit a touch roomy, definitely not a full cup size but if you're between sizes or don't have much top fullness you may prefer to size down.
The bra is in general ridiculously comfortable but there are a few things that are a bit of a miss for me: 1) Unusually for Panache the 32GG has a two hooks and eyes rather than three. I like their three hook bands for extra support. 2) The underwires are extremely U-shaped. The underwires shift down for me because my inframammary fold doesn't have as steep a curve so pulling the bra 100% up will cause the underwire to sit on breast tissue in the lower outer area of the cup. 3) The side wings are really tall for this size. I can handle it especially because the last half an inch doesn't have underwire but still, that's a lot of side, and I think it looks a bit odd how it swoops down to a tiny two hook closure. 4) I'd prefer if the center gore was narrower. Again I can handle it and it wasn't uncomfortable but it's definitely not ideal. 5) The elastic used for the band has pretty firm edges that dig in a little bit. 6) The partially adjustable straps paired with a J-hook mean that if you have very high set breasts you may need to alter the straps a touch shorter. I'm high set but not to a huge degree and I wear the straps tightened almost to the max. Read more 273 more words
This review is for the Panache Andorra Full Cup in 32GG. My ABTF size is 32G/GG UK (or more) depending on projection.
Band: * Measured from 27 to 31. Clearly this runs small.
Wires: * Very firm.
Cups: * Have a mesh inner side sling.
Fabric: * Very comfortable.
About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, functionally even to full on bottom, short roots, relatively soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.
FIT
* The band length was really short. I actually had to wear an extender to even fasten it. I'm surprised at this based on my other experiences with Panache. The lace on the band did curl ...up on my even trying it on. I'm sure for sitting all day it would definitely curl. * The gore tacked nicely. It was tall for me, but fine. It was narrow enough for me at .75 inches, but I still might prefer to overlay them. * The cups seem to have the right volume for me, and the tops actually laid down perfectly. The wires are not narrow enough for me and it does not have enough immediate projection for me. * The straps are long enough. * The sides are a comfortable height for me.
OVERALL IMPRESSION * I like this bra even though I don't normally like lace. I love how the tops of the cups fit me. I just need a ton more immediate projection and significantly more narrow wires. Read more 129 more words
Look - Even though it's not perfect, I really love this bra. I needed a neutral/nudeish bra to go under my white graduation dress, and this bra (in blossom) was a perfect nudey pink. I usually dislike nude bras, the colors often look horrible on me, but this was gorgeous.
Now on the fit! The band is definitely firm on this bra, I wouldn't size down. My ribcage measures about a 31, and this definitely wasn't too loose on me. I'd also recommend this bra for someone full on top. The bra is pretty open at the top and I've seen many pictures of this bra on people ...with the top wrinkling/empty. I didn't have this problem whatsoever, which is a welcome surprise. My only true fit problem was on my right boob, the cup doesn't completely cover me on the sides, but not enough to cause any spillage. This can be easily fixed by going up a size.
Comfort - Comfort wise, this bra is alright. It seems a little stiff, there's really no padding to the underwires and the material definitely isn't the softest. I had a few problems with the lace at the bottom of the cup folding under and leaving some pretty severe red marks. I hope this problem can be solved after a wash or two.
Overall, this is a really great bra! Excellent support, beautiful design. Best for *Full on Top *Don't size down a backsize
This was my first Andorra, back when I thought I was a 32 band. It is the bra that made me fall in love with the Andorra style! Alas, the cups were not deep enough, and the band was too long. I ended up being a perfect 30HH in this style! I have it in all seven colors, so yeah, I'm a bit of a fanatic about the Andorra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> It supports silicone like nothing else; feels like two hands lifting you up all day! Heavenly.
So close to fitting, but just not quite it! I have a Goldilocks situation going on here. 32HH is too big, 32H seemed slightly too big, and 32GG is slightly too small on my larger side. More of the soft tissue bubbling up in the middle.
Love this colorway! Planning on swapping it out for a 32H.
UPDATE 11/12/23: I ended up reordering this bra and keeping it because it fits better now than it did when I first tried it. It isn’t my favorite bra however…the fabric at the bottom of the cups is stiffer than the lace and gives me this odd silhouette. Like, the stiffer fabric pushes my boobs flat like pancakes and then the soft tissue bubbles up in the lace, so I get this weird flat look with bubbles on top. Not flattering under clothes. It actually kinda pushed my boobs into my armpits instead of front and center. Do not like. 👎🏻
Has a mesh/lace cup that provides excellent seamless support. This bra is a great t-shirt bra. The cups are slightly too separated for my close set breasts, but given how hard it is to find seamless cups in my size, I make it work. Even with being slightly too wide, it doesn’t dig into my breast tissue, just holds them more east-west than I naturally am. It’s also not quite projected enough for me, but again, that has not impacted its comfort or support.
It’s a cute bra, but the 32GG is not the right size for me. I’m half thinking that this bra might be too open in the middle (being a plunge, that’s how the style should be). I’m not sure if sizing up in the cups will help me any, but I’m going to try an 30GG and see. The band is also slightly too stretchy, hence wanting to go down a band and up a cup. My snug UB is a 30 right now anyway, so 32 can be hit and miss.
Back to the bra- I love the lace, love the look, but I’m not a fan of the color. This one was on sale, so I jumped for it, but lavender would not have been my 1st choice at all. Now that it’s going back, I’ll just try until I find one that fits (if I do), and go from there. Like I said, plunges may not work so well for me since I’m center-full.
Great review! I never tried this bra but it looks really good. Too bad about the fit issues. It looks like the cups are too shallow at the center and not open enough on top.
Firm fabric, band, wires, and gore. This bra offers side and under support. The stretch lace atop the cups is forgiving and accommodating for asymmetrical breasts. It is a full cup but sits low enough for scoop, lower, or unusual necklines in garments. The black fabric seems more snug than the sage I have in the same style. This is a cup size smaller than I need, but works for my asymmetry (I can wear it in both GG and H)- if you are between sizes or asymmetrical you may be able to size up or down comfortably. I have, I believe, tall and wide roots. Center full (horizontal) even full (vertical) 1 finger width (approx 1 cm) space between breasts (when supported, about 1" when unsupported), very soft tissue, immediate projection (at the wire) 5'4" with narrow shoulders- hopefully some of that can help someone. If this style suits you, you may also like panache andorra.
Fit is great except for a weird combination of too loose lace and a tighter elastic along the top of the cups, which leads to a wrinkly quad-boob effect. It's not terrible, not even really noticeable under a shirt, but it's a strange construction choice.
The. Best. Bra. Ever!! Barely even needed to S+S because it just fit that perfectly, haven't worn it all day but I'm expecting it to be as comfortable as any bra could be. Feels like it was made specifically for me!
Pretty bra, but I'm so confused by the sizing. First, I think I need to go down a band size. I measure a 30, but have usually worn a 32 in Panache (Envy & Adorra) for comfort. But this feels loose. Also, it's wrinkling at the top, even though I usually fill out a GG (or even need to size up to H or HH). The straps don't tighten as much as I'd like--I'd have to wear them on the tightest right now, and that's before wearing long. The wires are a bit too wide for me.
I tried this bra after doing some blog surfing and seeing it recommended for Full on Top boobs. I often have issues with bras with these kinds of seams. I often look pointy (downward pointy - the worst kind) and have quad-boob issues. Not a flattering look under clothes. I was thrilled when I saw the shape this bra gave me! Nice and rounded, well lifted and firmly held in place. The stretch lace is great for full on top boobs, and is also helpful for asymmetry issues. The band is a bit snug, but not enough for me to warrant going up a size, nor did I ...need to use an extender the first time I wore it (I keep reading that it will stretch, so I'm not concerned). I ended up wearing it for 18+ hours the first time I wore it - through a full day of work, errands and later, lounging on the couch. My husband was cracking up as I kept lifting my shirt and saying, "I can't believe how comfortable it is and how nice they look!" The only issue I had was a slight bulging on my larger boob, right above the seam where the lace attaches to the bottom part of the cup. This is probably not noticeable to anyone else, and I'm thinking after a few wears and washes, that it may diminish a bit. Straps are comfortable and sit nicely on my fairly narrow shoulders. It is not a bra for a plunging neckline, but it's a good practical, yet attractive bra for every day wear. I have the nude color and I'm looking forward to purchasing this bra in black. I would tell them that it is amazing. I've had issues finding a Panache that fits and I'm wary of full cups, so I basically just bought this from amazon on a whim, thinking I'd have to send it back. NOPE! It's perfect. The color (powder) isn't terrible, and the lace is very comfortable. No digging, perfect gore, my boobs don't leak out the sides. IT'S AMAZING. I just wish I could find more colors in my size!
Yay! I've had a similar experience with the Andorra as well (and in the same size, no less). I'm not sure if it was one of the ones included in your mass order, but I highly recommend trying Panache Floris Balconnet Bra (7311) next in the same size. Amazon has the ivory colorway for a good price right now, too.
Oooh, awesome, thanks for the tip! I'll try it out! Thanks ginganinja !
I have this in the lemonade color, new to the SS15 line. I've tried this in many sizes, hoping I could get it to work for my shape without making my boobs fall flat or look too east/west or too pointy, and I finally made it work! I followed the advice of a fellow bratabase user, and bought this in a size smaller than I normally wear, and it fits great. The stretch lace is super accommodating to tissue, so it works well even though it's a smaller cup than I normally go for. The band is a bit tight, like how Panache bras always start out, but ...after some wash and wears, I'm confident it'll be just fine. The shape this provides me is very round and slightly minimized, but I'm definitely ok with appearing a bit smaller. Also of note, the straps are not bothersome at all! Even at 5'10 and with broad shoulders, Panache bras always rub my armpits raw after a few hours of wear.
I do think Panache is taking some feedback and improving the fit of their bras. The cups on the Andorra are deeper than similar years, and the wires aren't *as* wide. I'm really excited to have this work for me, because I love lace bras, and I really love the bright colors this bra has come in as of late. Now off to buy all the Andorras I can find. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Read more 138 more words
The Envy gives a perfectly rounded shape! The elastic band crosses over itself under the gore, so it is very, very tight, I'd say only slightly more stretch than Masquerade bras. I have found after a few wears it has opened up nicely, so I would probably recommend getting your normal band size, and an extender to help break it in. I really, really love this bra, I have it in both color ways and I have my fingers crossed for more this spring! Envy is less projected in the center than the Jasmine, so if you need a lot of projection/have very firm tissue, be wary that it might be too shallow for you. I am projected, but also very soft tissue so my breasts conform to the cup shape very easily.
This bra fits well, but ultimately I returned it because the horizontal seam shows through two layers of clothing, and the wings/sides itched/scratched my skin.
This was my second Andorra, back when I thought I was a 32 band. It is the bra that made me fall in love with the Andorra style! Alas, the cups were not deep enough, and the band was too long. I ended up being a perfect 30HH in this style! I have it in all seven colors, so yeah, I'm a bit of a fanatic about the Andorra It supports silicone like nothing else; feels like two hands lifting you up all day! Heavenly.
What a pretty bra! I do not remember seeing it before. It looks lovely on you.
