Got this bra at the beginning of my journey when I didn't know about shape. Unfortunately I don't think this bra would work for anyone in this size range due to crazy apex projection. So it's become my practice bra for alterations. I may also use the band and straps to make a new bralette.
I've been wearing moulded and padded bras for a long long time now, so this is my first foray into the unlined, light, summery things. I am very impressed by the lift that the lace provides. My breasts are soft and uneven, so top of the cup is almost always an issue - but it isn't here! The stretchy lace fixes the problem beautifully on both of my breasts. The bra that I got in scarlet looks prettier than I expected, with different shades of red working together so nicely, especially in the stretchy lace part.
The cons: The cups are really wide for me, even though I've believed ...that I have wide breasts. My one real problem with this bra is the pointy shape that I get. From others' reviews I take it that not everyone gets the pointy shape in this bra, but my natural pointy shape is not fixed by the bra, that's for sure. A minor problem I have with the bra is that the straps look really sturdy relative to the beautiful tender lace of the cups. They may be needed for larger cups, but I feel with the 28DD, they could be thinned out. Read more 93 more words
I really wanted to love this bra. My usual size is 28E, but I had to downsize one cup size in this style, as the cups are at least 1-2 sizes too large. The problem with this is the opposite of what I had with the Freya28E - Freya ยป Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) . With the Deco, I had gaps on the top, with breast tissue spilling out the sides (a third of my boob!) whereas with the Porcelain I have quad-boob at the top, good coverage at the sides and wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, with pretty gnarly ...rib pain after a few hours of wear. I am slightly FOB, with shallow breasts, so this is a bit of a surprise!
As far as aestheics, the back and straps are great, the straps don't slide down of off my shoulders, but as a few people mentioned, they are far too short and uncomfortable to wear crossed at the back. The top of the cup is a bit too high for low cut tops as many have mentioned - at this size range, the breast really doesn't need that much coverage for support.
I am still looking for the perfect low profile no-nonsense bra, but it appears to be an ongoing quest https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Update: after playing with the wires, the fit is much better! Only a small bottom gap and no rib pain or quadboob. I stretched out the wires wider and bent the wires from flat into contoured to fit around my ribcage, rather than press flat against it (no more bruises on the right side!). Huge improvement in both fit and comfort - it's gone from unacceptable into okay/workable, considering the seeming lack of alternatives. Read more 191 more words
I was so excited to try this! It is beautiful and I like the idea of a longline bra to add warmth and sexiness to an ordinary outfit.
Unfortunately, it is an utter disaster on me. The cups are too large and too closed on top to fit me. The underwires get pulled away from my body on the bottoms, and pulled into my body at the top ends of the gore and sides. This causes a lot of stabbing.
I really don't know about this one. I guess it might work for someone who is fairly projected and can tolerate a closed-on-top shape.
Oh, and the underwire channels are a full inch longer than the actual wires.
suits someone FoB, short roots, and average projection. this bra was a hot mess on me, like i put two cereal bowls on my boobs. the cup had so much empty space but also cut in at the top.
This is for the white Zara. The only thing I don't like about this bra is the strap placement is way too wide for someone who wears this size bra. I took the straps off and the top of the cups where the straps go, was in my armpit. Other than that I like this bra. It is pretty and has a satin look and feel to it. I am going to have to learn how to alter straps if I want to wear this bra. Also the bottom of the cups is very shallow just like the 28FF. That doesn't really bother me though. I will wear this after I alter the straps and when I am smaller.
VERY shallow on the bottom! If you have tried the CK Entice and found that other than the wires being too narrow it was a good fit, then THIS is the bra for you! I got it because it looks like the construction of some of my other bras, but it does not wear that way. It would work well for a FoT shape with average-wide root width than needs space for a tall root. It has a nice and snug band though! That's always a plus for 28s! It really wasn't a horrible fit, but the gore dug into my sternum making it a deal-breaker. I think that I must be a really hard fit with the gore... too low and it stabs horribly, but too high and the gore suddenly becomes wayyy too wide for me. This bra would have worked for me if it didn't poke at the gore. Time to add it to the list of other bras that I can't wear because of their stupid, stupid gore...
This runs LARGE. It's also wide and shallow. Although it says it's a 28DD, I recommend it for someone who is either a 28E or someone who is in between 28DD and 28E. I filled out the top of the cup no problem. However, the bottom of the cup as loose fabric.
Very pretty, and the cups are narrow enough for me. Unfortunately the top is too closed off and cuts into my breast tissue, squishing it down and making for a very unattractive shape. I think this might be because I have taller roots? Other than that, it was very comfortable
The band is perfect for me, I can wear it in the loosest hook and it feels comfortable and supportive. The width of the wires is maybe a little small, so most likely I would need a 28E. There's some wrinkling in the fabric, as this one seems to be a bit too projected for me.
Another great everyday bra! I don't fill this one up enough to keep it though, I'm too shallow. The band is a little tight, but it is overall very comfortable. The design is very delicate and pretty. It doesn't show through a shirt - I tried it on around the house and found that out. Even though this bra has had a previous owner it is not stretched out at all.
This bra has remarkable lift, and it looks smooth under my tightest shirts. I do get some quad-boob with certain movements, and occasionally my nipples are visible, but the comfort, support, and shape make this the only "wearable" moulded cup bra I've found. The straps and armholes are quite awkward on me.
[Update: got this bra back in Feb 2013. It became too small in the cup (slight quadboob, wires sitting on breast tissue) in May 2013. I guess swooping and scooping really works. Still, it was fantastic while it lasted.]
This is a review of the Panache Harmony balconette in 28DD in nude/beige.
Straps are lovely and comfortable and easy to adjust.
The gore lies beautifully flat, though it is a tad wide for me at the top (where the top of the underwires meet between my breasts). Wires do not poke my sternum or under my arms.
Band is quite comfortable, though snug to begin with; does not ride up.
The cups are slightly wrinkled on my smaller breast, but fit my larger one nicely. Finally, a Panache balconette that fits my not-so-full-on-top breasts! Cups give me a nice shape, not too pointy or too flattened.
I seem to have a shape incompatibility with this bra. It fits well in all areas except the top of the cup cuts in too soon and give me a sort of quad-boob. Trying it in a 28E did not remedy the situation. It also looks rather pointy from the side. It's a lovely bra though, with sturdy mesh for the cup and a softer fabric for the wings. I have smallish boobs but they aren't especially shallow, and the underwire sat in the perfect location for me.
everything is pretty good, provides good lift. cup might be very slightly wrinkly right in middle seam, but the gore separates more than I would like, and the lace makes it visible underneath tshirts. maybe best besides the two I currently have.
This bra just gives me such a strange shape. I feel it has to do with the seam pattern and my breast shape. The 28DD is too small, and the 28E is a significant improvement but still just not right for me.
Got the size 28DD Panache Harmony balconette in black, because the 28DD in nude fit so well. However, the bottom of the cups on the black version are much shallower, resulting in some quadboobing on my bigger breast, and a very odd looking flattening/tightness across the bottom of my smaller breast. Another clue was the way the gore lifted ever so slightly away from my chest (only noticeable when compared to my other bras that do fit well).
Further proof: a few weeks after I bought this bra, I bought another black one in a 28E, which fit perfectly.
This bra seems too narrow for a wide chest. It doesn't help that mine is a cup size or two too small, but the cups are quite shallow and give a "pancake-y" effect.
