This is a really gorgeous bra that I fell in love with on sight. While I would say the fit is perfectly acceptable and it looks fine under shirts, I do wonder in hindsight if I should have gone with a smaller band (seems to have more stretch than other Panache bras that I own) and also a larger cup - while I'm not spilling out anywhere I feel like this cup runs a little small and I would prefer a little more coverage - I feel a bit exposed. I guess that's more of a preference thing than a fit issue though. Also the straps are only half adjustable, which is not an issue for me, but worth keeping in mind for anyone who might need to shorten their straps a lot.
Of all the Panache bras I have tried this would have to be the most disappointing. Usually their bras work well for me and I loved the look of the Delphi, sadly it wasn't to be. This bra seems to be all wrong for my shape. I have gapping at the top of the cups but am spilling out the sides around the underarm. The base of the cup is fairly shallow compared to the upper part of the cup so maybe this would work better for someone who is fuller in the top of the bust (I am the reverse). Such a shame because it's a really beautiful bra. Just as a side note the band doesn't seem to have as much give as most of their other styles and the straps are only half adjustable. Neither were issues for me but worth keeping in mind if you're considering this style.
I bought this bra in Antique Ice. It is absolutely gorgeous! I especially like the little heart charm in the center. Unfortunately, the underwires do not contain my breast tissue, I get quadraboob, and the gore pulls away when I scoop properly. I wish I could give a better review, but this size doesn't fit me.
This bra is sooooo pretty! I just need to matching panties now https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The band on this bra is VERY TINY!!! I should be wearing a 26 band and this bra fits perfectly. Better than any other one I've tried on so far! I'd reccomend going a band size up cause it doesn't stretch!
if you still remember/have this basque, how did you feel about it without the straps on? i know you put that it was too big in the cup for you, but did you feel like it maintained the cup shape/supportiveness pretty well without the straps?
Emmeth It did maintain the cup shape/support well without the straps due to the boning; both when it did fit me and when it was too big in the cups.
yay thanks for the response! i guess last thing is did you think the cups were big for a 30FF? i found one on ebay for not too much and it seems like it could work in multiple capacities
From what I remember, the cups were pretty much spot on for 30FF (that was my size when I bought it).
I love this bra but unfortunately it is to big for me. The bra is lovely and comfortable. The straps are padded halfway up and very comfortable. The band is on the tighter side. The only negative is that the fabric of the band came away from them elastic the first time I tried it, however, it was an easy fix and is no longer a problem.
It's pretty, and I really wish it worked for my shape, but...
The cup shape doesn't work for me. I think it's the way the top panel seam goes, it makes kind of a sharp edge. Not pointed, but flattened in that direction. There is extra space around the top and front edge of the cup, though it looks like if it were tighter, I would have spillage in the middle. The wire maybe goes a little too far around my ribs...my breast is mostly front, no overlap on the side. I like a really round cup shape, and this one doesn't do it.
On the other hand, it doesn't ...poke or rub to speak of. The 28 band works on the loosest hook (good for when it stretches out).
The result is that while the band feels supportive, the cups leave too much room for movement. I think a 28G in this might have fit me better, but the shape is not my preference.
I do love the styling, with the dark mesh and the little dangle in the center is beautiful, a nice change from bows.
This is such a beautiful bra. The molded cups are covered in embroidered mesh with a magenta lace edging sown on top. It looks very luxurious but definitely show under clothing. The front part of the straps are satin that gets wider on top of the shoulders. they only adjust half way. There are only two hooks and three rows.
This bra has great uplift and a really nice rounded forward projection. I would say the under some outfits the uplift is almost too much.
I got it in 32G first and the cups were huge. I think perhaps the band is a little looser than my 32FF Masquerade Coco which I find a perfect fit. I could perhaps have done with a 30G.
I have to wear it on the second hook right away, otherwise I get gaping in the cups because if I tighten the straps any further it will ride up in the back. I have them tightened half way.
I've got the matching knickers which are beautiful as well.
This bra is absolutely the smallest 34 band I have come across so far. The band runs extremely small, measuring about 31" when stretched out all the way. The cups run slightly small as well, leading to a baffling kind of curly shape (rounded up to the top of the cup, which then stands sharply away from the breast tissue in a point from the side and a line from the front). The effect is a little bizarre, however it can be corrected to a degree by adjusting and then disguised under heavier fabrics. The band still has not stretched out, nor does it ...appear inclined to do so. The bra does not poke in the slightest, but because it is so tiny, I find it uncomfortable to wear for an entire day.
Problems aside, the bra is really very pretty. The coral lace along the top edge of the cups extends delicately over the breasts, while the pearl detail over the cut-out center gore is unusual and very elegant. The band is not mesh but a matching coral satin material in the back and sides, while covered in lace like the cups in the front.
Despite the fit, I will be keeping this bra based on its stunning appearance and the hope that my continued weight loss will allow me to fit into it properly. Read more 123 more words
I received this bra in a 2-bra grab bag from Breakout Bras, so I had limited influence over which bras I bought. I put down Harlequin (Masquerade) as one of my preferred brands because their bras are all so pretty I was guaranteed to get something I would like, even if the fit was not guaranteed. Plus, I would never be able to afford their bras on my puny student budget!
This bra is seriously gorgeous. I love the embroidery, which is even more enchanting in person, and the high-contrast effect it creates. The thread used for the embroidery is fairly thick, so that it ...stands away from the fabric and can be seen underneath most shirts. Because the bra is so colorful, it can also usually be seen under anything thinner than a heavy jersey. The band is sheer mesh, as is standard, but with much tighter elastic, so it creates unsightly lumps on my back while still not supporting me properly due to the fact that the band is on the larger end of 34 while I am not. The decorative "jewel" on the gore was a cheap-looking plastic jewel like something from an amusement park pirate's treasure chest. I cut it off immediately and found the bra much improved.
When I unwrapped the bra, it was extremely starchy. I have very sensitive skin, but I could not even stand to wear it for five minutes. After handwashing it, the texture of the bra was improved, but the embroidery, straps, and gauze along the upper edge of the cups still scratch after a while.
The shape from the side is very round, however, the straps are very narrow and cut into my shoulders easily. The back band is angled upwards slightly, so it always feels as if it is riding up, even when it is not. I have only worn this bra a few times, so I am not sure how much it will stretch out over time or whether additional washings will soften the fabric further. Even though I love this bra, I worry that it may not love me back. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 264 more words
Apart from my 32FF Cleo Lucy this is the best fitting bra I currently own. The cups are padded with one vertical seem. It has great uplift and a forward projection that makes me look slim from the front. Absolutely no East-West look. The straps only adjust half way but it's enough for me. The front part of the straps are covered with the same animal print material as the cups, I think it's ordinary straps underneath, not foam. The center gore and the center third part of the cups are covered with Black lace and there is a small button on the gore. The lace on the ...cups is only fastened along the edge of the cup. I am not so thrilled about it and I think it would be possible to remove it. I am not a fan of animal print either but it is actually very subtle. I've heard some Masquerades are quite smug in the band but I don't find this to be the case, contrary to my Rhea. I was unsure about the size and had ordered a 32G first after recently having purchased a 30GG Cleo Juna, but it was way too big.
If I should say anything negative it would be that the straps seems a bit clumsily attached to the cups and that the cups comes up a tiny bit too close to my armpits where the straps are attached. The band continues under the cups with a width like the wires. I think it has a tendency to fold outwards. I have the same issue with my Lula May. A small price to pay for an otherwise perfect fit though. Read more 170 more words
Very nice, warm colour. 30 bands are usually a little bit too big for me, but this is quite snug, so might work. Love the straps which are halfway satin and get wider at the shoulder, which prevents digging in (and also looks great). The wires are o.k., also the shape the bra creates, but the G cup is a little bit too big - some gaping at the top which causes very visible bralines under a t-shirt. Because of the gaping, the lace on the top of the cup also doesn't lie smoothly on the breast which looks weird. I think the 30FF or even better the 28GG might fit perfectly, unfortunately they're not available. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the 30G or not - I just like the colour and the style so much...
German only: Mir gefällt: -Der Schnitt.
