At first the part where the straps meet the cups rubbed really bad. It went away after a couple weeks, though. The cups are a bit tall for me and has caused the outer edge of the left cup to start curving out. That is my smaller side so that could be the reason.
The sizing is way off on this. I normally wear a 28-30F. The 32" band felt too small, I would probably be better in a 34". The E cup was too small, it didn't come close to tacking. I think this is mostly because of the cut, as there is no support due to the low back. It also gaps at the top, but at least it didn't gap at the top as bad as the Wacoal Red Carpet Bustier though.
When I first got this bra, I wanted to love it because it's exactly what I look for in a bra. It's pretty, has lace, dark colour, and is fairly minimal otherwise (minus a single bow). It fit, mostly, but it wasn't exactly comfortable and kept giving me a quadboob on the left. I wore it a few times after that and remember liking the silhouette it gave, but the left breast usually ended up square and quadboobed. I didn't wear it for a while after that.
While the initial quadboob isn't there any more, it's on the verge of it. There's still a squaring effect on the left breast. It's more comfortable that I remember it being, however, and now it fits pretty much perfectly. It's a well made bra overall, and I like the shape it gives.
The sizing is way off on this. I normally wear a 28-30F. The 32" band felt too small, the 34" felt correct. The D cup seemed like it had the correct volume, but it didn't come close to tacking (the gore sits about half-way out!). It also gaps at the top horribly because of the lack of tacking, as the low back gives it no tension behind the breasts. This bra effectively fits me band and cup volume size, but fails horribly due to design. Stay far away from this model.
I put this bra on and now I don't want to take it off! The band is stretchy, but it feels very comfortable and stayed put even during the impromptu happy-dance I busted out in the bathroom. The width and depth are darn near perfect. The moulded cup gives me a nice shape. No quading. The gore and wings are not very tall, so nothing pokes and nothing digs.
The band fits much more like a 28 than a 30. It does not show in t-shirts and offers very flattering shape. The thick straps offer nice support, but are very visible in tank tops or wide necklines. It is very comfortable if you are out and about but the gore tends to dig in a little bit if I'm lounging around... I think that is due to my usually poor posture and my small frame just leans right into the under-wire where it meets the gore. The color is perfect for wearing white clothing.
However, the lip of the cups dig in to the tops of my breasts, ...so I'm wondering if it is ill fitting or if the cups run small, or if the shape doesn't work well on my body type. I question that because my boobs are fullest at the bottom and sides and not so much at the top.
The only other complaint I have about this bra is that is not very attractive, and is a bra that I wear for practicality only... I do wish it offered a little more in terms of style because I don't feel very attractive wearing the bra alone, but with clothing it does offer a shape I find flattering so that's nice. This is my most comfortable bra because of the thick padded straps, but it fits very poorly. I am pretty sure the cups have too little depth for me. There is empty space on the sides, but the underwire and cups both cut into my breast tissue on the sides. The straps do not adjust long enough. The bra -- like all bras -- gives me east-west projection. The straps -- like most straps -- are place too far apart and fall off my shoulders too often. The center gore does not lie flat as it is much too narrow for my wide set breasts.
The padding is good ...and protective, and the band is snug (it's more of a 34 than a 36, though, so size up in the band). I'm having a very hard time finding a bra that fits my narrow shoulders. Most cause a tremendous amount of pain. I'm bottom heavy, and the weight of my breasts pushes down too heavily in this bra. Good quality, and it's my go to until I find something that actually fits.
I'm including a photo to show what I mean about folding up my left (larger) breast due to lack of depth. It shows a crease near my left armpit where I have folded the breast (sort of extreme, very uncomfortable swooping) -- this always result in too much pressure on the straps and bottoms of the cups. Most bras do not adjust low enough on my torso. Read more 141 more words
I don't know what to pick on the fit survey for the top of the cup: cuts into breast tissue (quad-boob) or wrinkles (can't fill it)? Because, somehow, BOTH. I get wrinkling and gapping at the very top of the cup--I'm not quite full enough on top--but I also get quad-boob lower down, around the middle of the cup. Possibly the bra is too shallow for me? Possibly I need to stop looking for a full-cup bra since, if I'm full on bottom, a half-cup or balcony would be better for me? Possibly I need to rethink my belief that "half cups are bad because I just fall out of them" because it was formed when I was still wearing ill-fitting bras?
Anyway, both issues are somewhat minor, and the bra is quite comfortable, so it's a tough call on this one.
Not really good for a sports bra, not enough support and would be too bouncy and not held to chest enough, but I wear it all the time, it has stretched a bit, so good on the snuggest hook.
The smooth front of the bra looks nice under a shirt. The straps are thicker and taper towards the back, which I find comfortable. The band and cup size are both too big for me though. Will try a size down.
The material in the cups is very soft. The brand seems to run a bit large in the cup. Combined with bratabase recommendations I ordered sizes 34D and 32DD, but I think I will try ordering 32D in the styles I liked since they were all too large.
I was looking for a wireless, t-shirt friendly bra to see me through the last trimester of pregnancy when I bought this on sale from Le Mystere. I like the appearance of the lace, which isn't itchy at all. However, the shape it gives it really odd. The deepest molded part of the cup squashes my boobs; it looks like I have a set of rectangular boobs from the top. The cups also push me out wide enough that my arms brush the sides of my boobs, which isn't usually the case. I'm no expert on molded cup bras, so I'd guess part of my issue has to ...do with size. Pretty sure I need at least a 32FF or 30G at this point, but I couldn't return and compare due to the sale.
The band is very stretchy, and it digs in near the start of the wings.
Update: Discovered recently that a lot of my problems with bras looking rectangular has to do with how narrow my shoulders are. The straps pull the sides of the cups in and mess up the bra's shape. Because of this, I'm not sure how universal the "rectangular look" of this bra happens to be. Read more 94 more words
Awesome looking once you have it on, heavily padded (I would guess and inch or more of padding at the bottom.) which just isn't what I was looking for. Straps are not wide but are thick almost rolled and have a very pleasant velvety feel to them. They detach in the back where there are two sets of loops to change the distance or cross the straps. Something I have never seen before is that the upper parts of the straps break apart and the two half straps (permanently attached to the front of the cups can be clicked together to make a halter strap. (The same way ...many front hook bras work). The snap apart straps can be crossed and refastened without dislodging the back straps form the loops on the band.
The smooth rounded shape it gave was great. The one inch band of material running along the cup did show under some clingy fabrics where the two materials meet up. If you want to add a cup size or more and show off some great cleavage this might be the bra you're looking for.
I'm pretty sure this would be an excellent fit and very comfortable, if not for the fact that the 30" band only stretches to 29" My under-bust is 29" and it was all I could do to hook it. I would consider this in a 32" band or using an extender. I would like to see a version with less padding.
I really love this bra, the band is snug but not uncomfortably tight and the top of the cups lay flat (it's often difficult for me to find bra cups that do). The wire doesn't dig in and I love the convertible straps. The bra itself is very lovely, dark red cups covered in black mesh.
